Just when I thought inflation couldn't get any worse, I stopped into this place to find that stuff is often double or triple the price compared to other stores. Probably the most expensive grocery store within 50kms of red deer
Lately every shop has been missing one more thing than the last shop. Missing my face cream, dental floss, burgers, bbq pulled pork, and now this time pepperoni also. I also asked for atleast two bags with my shops but it keeps getting put in to one and nearly ripping by the time I get to my vehicle. Clean store though.but that doesn't really stand for much. Leaving your parking lot to go to Red Deer instead now I guess.
Update: May 4 and still nothing above. Also out of ritz crackers this time. Last time coming here
Have seen the sign when driving through Blackfalds SO the name of the store lured me in.don't bother.it is like a knock off Save-on where I shop a lot and nothing was a saving.very disappointed. Might be convenient for locals but won't stop again.
Staff are awesome, great selection, deli staff are amazing, understood celiac disease and knew what would be safe for my wife. Only complaint is the high price of common foods.
I go here because of the friendly cashiers and the conveniently close location to the dollarama.
Pricing is a bit off for a store called buy low but they do have some good sales every now and then, more so lately because they’re clearing stuff out.
Another bonus is they have two doors unlike the other grocery store in town.
Very disappointed to see how much prices went up after the merge with Save on Foods loyalty program. Shelves were not well stocked. With Buy Low as the name they really should not be jacking prices like they have. I will say the staff are very friendly. Will not do major shopping there.
Produce really good quality and prices were comparable or lower than other stores. Lots of neat products and I was really happy with how much GF products they have. Very Celiac friendly.
I love that this store has a good selection of import products. It's hard to find Japanese curry and soba noodles, for example, without going to one of the bigger chains. Prices are a bit high though, so for larger shopping runs I prefer to go to Lacombe or Red Deer if I have time (it more than makes up for the cost of gas).
Very freindly staff they have good selection and the produce is amazing tracy does a amazing job at keeping things fresh and recent if you want other produce he will bring it in best grocery store around
