This store has everything you need for outdoor living recreation or just fun the sales they have are incomparable to anywhere else staff are friendly knowledgeable and extremely helpful even if you're not planning to purchase anything going and looking around is almost as fun as buying
I appreciated Janice answering the phone and handling my question personally. She took the time, and went above and beyond. And she answered the phone. I was trying to contact Edmonton south for 25 mins and nobody actually answered the phone, how horrible.
I had the worst customer service ever. My first time shopping here, and I will never buy anything from Cabela's again. I made an order online, waited days without hearing any update on if my payment was processed, if it was shipped, if there was a tracking #, nothing. Sure, so I decided to reach out. I phoned in, waited on hold for 52 minutes before giving up. Phoned in the next day, on hold for 40 minutes, no answer again. Ok, so I used their email customer contact form. Didn't hear back either. I tried cancelling my order, TBD if they actually see that or not. I found the same item from a different reputable Canadian company, they literally processed and shipped it within 1 hour. No word of a lie.
Who would you give your business to? Come on guys, do better.
Decided to check out this store today. So glad that I did. Reminded me of Banff. Not just an outdoor store. It feels like you're in the outdoors. Very impressive.
You know what's ironic? Going through the checkout get your total. They ask you if you would like a bag for $. 0.25.and in the same sentence, they ask you if you would like to round up to the next dollar so I can help you with your corporate tax deduction. Now that's funny
Do not give this location your business. Manager was forced to work a till an yanked my Possession and Aquisition license out of my hand and proceeded to go over it like it was fake. Word to all my seving and veteran brothers black list this dump.
I had a very positive experience. I came in to pick up some ice fishing gear and Brandon in the fishing department went over and beyond. He explained which lures work best on which lakes and why. He answered all my questions with patience and courtesy. He was honest and I felt every item he showed me I NEEDED, I did not feel pressured to buy (even though I walked out with nearly $500 in gear - it was all an informed choice). He then went on to show me some good fishing spots near town. I can't wait to try out the new gear, thanks Brandon!
It would be beyond amazing if they could have competent individuals answer the phone. I was left on hold for over 30 minutes before whoever was on the other line hung up on me. This exceptional service was received not once, not twice, but three times. I was left on hold 3 times for long periods of time before being hung up on. Thank you for wasting my time, I appreciate it. If this is the type of customer service that Cabela's trains their employees for then they're doing a great job. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere if you as a customer and individual have any ounce of dignity or self respect.
Wanted to purchase base layer for a hunting trip. Wandered around the thermal section, looked all over for something in my size that wasn't $100+. All while a group of staff was chatting in fishing next door and no one bothered to help. Feeling horrible about myself and frustrated I turned around and left.
Polite, courteous, good customer service. Was a delight to deal with the gents from the rifle section after walking out of the south side store. They answered our questions with an honest and jovial attitude. The senior staff member helped my wife and trained the gentleman who was helping me because he was new. They made for a wonderful experience. Thank you.
I go here for the selection. The staff are friendly and if you need any info on rifles, then Fabian and the rest there are extremely knowledgeable and helpful to provide you with the best choices your can afford. My daughter and I do the stuffed animal tour everytime and spend at least 10 minutes with her before it's my turn.and I better be quick because she's got me on another tour before we leave. It would be nice to have their interactive screen up and running again. She misses that.
Went in today to have a browse and a sales associate named Brandon was very kind to help us out! He had a lot of knowledge on product and showed a lot of interest in helping out customers.
As of today that we are supposed to be masked in stores all over Alberta. Few costumers are unmasked an nobody from the store are enforcing this health measure. Normaly i love to go there but today i'm very disapointed by the lack of serious this store is to enforce laws in order to protect people.
I've had mixed experiences at this location, but 5 minutes after they opened i was in to buy a compound bow, and was greeted with a smile and honest advice. I wish I could remember the young man's name for a shout out. In a half hour I was out the door with everything I needed having spent significantly less than I expected.
I went to this store to buy new arrows for my bow, so I went there and they did get the arrows cut and install the arrows head but they forgot to toll me that I have to wait 24 hr before I can use them, so it will be better if instead of having the employees trying to remember to mention that, the costumers should be given a piece of paper to sign where it mentions that we have to wait 24 hr in order to used the arrows properly because is really annoying having to drive for an hour and then wait another hour in costumer service in order to get them fix
Don't buy guns here what you'll get is an injured hunting party and when you ask them to help all you'll get is an email that doesn't reply.amazing waste of $900.and maybe put 200 rounds through it.
Really nice building and the cashiers are great. However, I find the staff at the other counters to be not so great. I have been ignored by staff at the gun/back counters multiple times and have even been looked over so that they could help two men who got there after me. Not impressed.
This store is absolute junk when it comes to service. The employees know nothing and have no regard or interest to what the customers want. I went to this store once to get a fly rod when I got there I couldn't find what I wanted because the fly rod shelf was so disorganized. I asked an employee to find what I wanted and he eventually did. Then the most disgusting thing happened, the man literally showed me the fly rod then told me to put it back. I was truly disgusted at the experience and I never wish to return. Also, I will add that the fly fishing desk was literally piled with junk. Cabela's you need to learn how to properly serve the public maybe some Terry O'Reilly would help you.
Staff seem to be very knowledgeable, I didn’t really know what I needed, was given multiple options with pros and cons for what I was looking for. Definitely feel like they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase
What I like about cabela's is how organized and consistent the online listing of in store inventory is. It's often a small wait for help, because there is a lot for customers to need help with, but the staff are friendly and patient. Plus my kids love the decor, all the animals and things to see.
Drove 90km to purchase a Cabela's cabinet, when I got home and opened the box, I found that one part was missing. I called the store and spoke with Katelyn, she took my information and mailed out a replacement part which I received two days later. Really appreciate the exceptional customer service. Thanks Katelyn and Cabela's!
Friendly staff, and a great selection of outdoor hunting & fishing equipment. The store is well laid out and easy to find what you are looking for. Large selection of tasty snacks, including fudge. Wheelchair accessible.
Very clean and bright store. Lots of stock and well organized. They don't carry much in the way of plus size clothing which was disappointing. The sandals were on for great prices but unfortunately they didn't have my size. The sunglasses were very cool. Got some new camp gear and cast iron pot we wanted. Can't beat their quality.
Just had to write about the amazing service my wife and I just had at Cabelas Edmonton North. We had mostly always been shoppers of MEC and have enjoyed the outdoors for decades. We decided to check out Cabelas because of some friends advice so we did, as soon as we walked into the store it felt great with a super friendly atmosphere. We were greeted by a man named Kurt who immediately asked what we were looking for and how he could help, we had a long list of needs that I am sure went out of his department, but the only reply we got was no problem I will take you were you need to go. Kurt walked us around the whole store, there wasn’t one thing he couldn’t find or answer for us, it was simply amazing! We have never had a retail experience like this in our lives! Kurt made it feel like it was our store and we were the only people there! We will always come back and tell everyone to also. If ever you need something for the outdoors make sure you go to the North store and ask for Kurt!
Located at the Northside of the city. Prices are fair enough for customers. Staff are well versed on different parts and kinds of fishing rods. They recommend the do's and don'ts.
I phoned earlier to put a fish finder on hold, when I got there 2 hrs later they knew nothing about it.and yes I was talking to the north side location. So I left
From Ontario and only know how to bass fish. Got some help in getting line on my reel. Was fishing for trout 1hour later and almost caught! Thanks dude!
I had an issue with a ice fishing tent, that I dealt with the store Manager. He helped me with the issue at hand and provided a solution. I would highly recommend this store!
Can usually get some good deals here but customer service is extremely lacking at the gun counter. Waited almost 30 mins in front of the counter today and only 1 guy was there. Few weeks ago I waited over 40 and got fed up and left.
Good quality produces with the Cabelas brand. Sales item on line were instore purchase only. No BC stores had the item.found one in Edmonton north. Had to have my daughter pick it up to ship it to me in Vernon. Store only holds items for 24 hrs. Making everyone run around.
Relative to the Terwilliger Cabela's. This place is the next best thing of the Cabela's around to take a visit to. Had amazingly good sales, friendly staff and not too terribly busy. Definitely will continue going here.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Every time I go there, some kind of event is going on. Last time free coffee from McDonald's and this time raising money for service dogs. Good selection of products in store
Low on stock of fishing supplies and this section has very little tackle at any time and rod and reals selection is terrible CT has better quality and selection. This is a bummer for the pro fisherman.
Always a good time at Cabela's. Thank you for constantly taking my money. Would be nice to see some ammo stocked as it's always low. Hold up to their end when they forget to take down a sale sticker.
First off, the inside is beautiful. The waterfall and animals everywhere get you in the right mood for camping adventures, watercraft exploring, calm fishing or breathtaking hunting. Secondly, their sales, when you catch them, are bold and not meant to be missed.
The bargain cave is definitely not what it once was since Bass Pro has taken over. Bulk bins are not as good as the Fish'n Hole, but overall still love shopping here and appreciate the efforts they make to give back to the community.
Prices are fair, Great Staff! Can we talk about the fudge place? ! Lol. So good. This place is good for hunting gear, fishing gear, camping gear and just clothing in general. I enjoy shopping at this place!
