Cadence Coffee

So this place has a little different style for sit down. You have to go to the counter to order but well worth it. The breakfast we had was excellent and the coffee was great too! In from Edmonton visiting family and came for breakfast, was a great idea. Whether your local or just visiting make sure you stop by.

Excellent coffee, exceptional service, and the food is top notch. But it's really all about the coffee.

Cesdence Coffee is always the best. Cafe Breve is 10/10, food is outstanding and baking is delicious. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Very noisy is my only complaint. Don’t go there if you are hearing impaired. Otherwise, a fun atmosphere and good food!

What a shame one rude girl can take away from our dining experience. My recommendation would be to keep her away from the public. Food was great, but she could careless that not all members of my family didn’t receive their meal. When I asked her about it she was rude and said, well you weren’t charged. No apology or suggestion to order it and have me pay for the meal she missed! It was basically a shrug and an eye roll. Rude!

I got their French toast and when I say the bread was to die for, I'm not kidding! It's three pieces of cinnamon bread that is an inch and a half thick each piece - 12.95! Cost effective, neat environment, quality food, and large portions makes this a must visit in the Bowness area!

Went in to grab a coffee.
Service was brutal. Prompted for a tip when taking to go. I left a tip regrettably. Staff couldn't be bothered to give proper service.

Great food and service. I wonder if they’ll ever renovate. Has a nice 50s, 60s feel, but could use a facelift.

They had a limited menu due to a staff shortage but the food tasted great. I had the breakfast bagel. All fresh ingredients! I finished the whole thing before I remembered to take a picture!

I’m a regular customer at Cadence and usually take a coffee to go as I’m usually on my way to work. Periodically I will eat in.

Such good coffee but the staff seems so miserable every time I’ve been in. Puts a damper on such a great space. Less welcoming, more like a why are you bothering me with ordering

I love this place and can't wait to go back! It has that quintessential diner atmosphere with spectacular food and service! It doesn't have a lot of tables, so get there early. The area also has a bunch of great walkable shopping.

Great coffee and great staff. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re in a small town cafe, while you’re in the middle of Calgary.

If breakfast food is what you want this place to go on Bowness Rd. Big plate fulls at reasonable prices. Large cups of strong coffee. What more can you as for

Supported this lovely cafe from opening to all through the recent hard times. It's disappointing that they sold out and participated in the Fall discrimination. I have chosen to support businesses who had the ingenuity to pivot and never participated in discrimination.

I absolutely adore this place - I've been coming here since I was a kid! I love the decor and the coffee, treats, and food is always stellar. It's one of my favorite places to bring friends for brunch or a coffee:)

The only reason for 1 star is. I ordered grilled cheese and bacon. When it arrived, I noticed it had tomato on it and it was hot soggy grilled tomato. No mention of this on the menu board. Who would think that there would be anything other than cheese and bacon?

Finally a breakfast dinner that isnt hot garbage! Spent about $50 for 2 adults and 2 kids but portions are good. Coffee was small but good.

50s style café restaurants that serve good old-fashioned comfort food are a dying breed. I am pleased to report that Cadence is the flag-bearer for this style of restaurant.

I had never been here until quite recently. When I entered, I found a large dining area with a walk-up counter in the middle to place my order. The staff that man the counter are quite friendly and knowledgeable about their products. They guide you through the ordering process so smoothly.

The Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich was HUMONGOUS! With so many ways to customize it to your liking it is delicious too! I looked at it at first and wondered how I was going to be able to bite it! That is a refreshing change from other establishments whereby I wonder how I am going to fill myself up!

The Cafe Mocha was amazing too. I loved the whipped cream topping. It makes for a lovely treat.

I see that they also serve breakfast here too. I will have to come back and try that next time.

Polite and quick service, cute tiny latte art for so early in the morning (7: 30AMish). Both my drink and my food were out really quick and there was plenty of parking available. Would come here again!

Have policy at the cashier that you have to order and then get a table assigned. Hard to see if there is a line up and you come with a group.
Then rude comments from staff.

This breakfast place has amazing food and a great atmosphere. Prices are a bit on the higher side but I definitely recommend checking it out!

Wonderful place. The environment was welcoming, warm and inviting. Had an omelet with gouda, mushrooms and bacon with hashbrowns and sourdough toast. Topped off with a yummy hot chocolate. Staff were friendly and efficient. It was steady with people coming and going. Great to see

Stopped in for coffee after a walk in Bowmont Park. A nice location with good coffee and a great Nanaimo bar. Service was quick and friendly. The decor is lively, with a bit of a diner feel. Will have to come back and try something from the full menu. I recommend.

Initial counter order followed by a hybrid full service. Prices are slightly high for quality of food but reflects the current inflation and rising costs of everything. Coffee program is great. They have a wonderful pay it forward program that is very heart harming.

Support local and enjoy this spoon in the heart of Bowness.

Nice little stop for breakfast, enjoyed a classic bacon and eggs. Will have to come on a weekend for eggs benny and lunch sometime. Support the small restaurants! To heck with chains

10/10 breakfast! I love coming to Cadence Coffee to treat myself to a breakfast once in a while. Their omelet and bagel breakfast sandwiches are top notch. Already looking forward to my next visit!

Quality spot for go-to brunch favourites. Retro styling and quirky art decor give this cafe its own personality that fits right into the heart of Bowness. Highly recommend any day of the week!

BEST almond milk latte EVER! And the cheese and mushroom omlette is my go too everytime. Also love, love, LOVE the staff

I've been going to cadence since I was 11 years old. I am now 28 and still go with my dad all the time

Cadence is my go to cafe. The food is fantastic - traditional breakfast, tuna melt, breakfast on a bagel are some of my favourites. The coffee is some of the best in the city. For me it's a bit like Cheers where everybody knows my name. I love the fact that my cup can go there on its own and the staff at Cadence know what fills it.
