I have been visiting this location for an year but this time it was very disappointing. Ordered methi paneer and Dal makhani, they were so plain, felt like they forgot to even add salt. Highly disappointed
What a soulful experience! Cocktails are just out of the world. My thali came with paranthas and I wish they came with naan instead but the food was delicious.serving size was good almost closew to two meals.and service was amazing, very personalised.
Once again a great night at the Calcutta Cricket Club. Their happy hour should not be missed. When you combine the very reasonable prices with great service, great food and a fantastic atmosphere, you can't go wrong. I just hope they maintain all this once they move.
RUN to this place. Don’t wait. My wife and I had the set menu and it was an incredibly good deal. The staff here are an absolute BRIGADE and looked after us so well. It’s worth the hype. Have the Haaldi Tonic. It’s so good.
I meant to take photos of the food as it came out, but it was too delicious. Here’s a photo of our centerpiece.
I recently dined at Calcutta cricket club and unfortunately had a not-so-good experience. The food portions were surprisingly small, leaving us hungry. Additionally, the prices were quite steep, which made the overall experience overpriced.
Starting with Ambience, it was very good. The service was slow considering only half the restaurant was occupied. The waiter got our order wrong, gave use two of the appetizer, we only ordered one. We didn't realize this since it wasn't clear what was the quantity available for that item. Our whole order was delayed. The food quality was average. Dal Makhani and Shahi Paneer were 7/10. Beef dish was 6/10, it lacked flavor. Biriyani was 5/10, the lamb and rice lacked flavor.
The waitress didn't follow up on time to see if we needed anything else. Since we waited to order another Garlic naan for another 10 minutes and then another 10 minutes to get it, and by time our food got cold.
My only suggestion is if they pay more attention to the food quality and service, it can do better.
This Place is worthy of getting atleast a mention in the Michelin Guide if ever the guide is published for Calgary Fantastic hospitality from all of the staff.especially Mike. Very refined Indian dine in experience.we were 5 people and we were a bit late for reservation and we were still accommodated with a pleasant attitude. Moving on to Cocktails.they were good.some more refinement in presentation will bring them to a top class (CLEAR ICE). For cocktail Balance they were good for the Indian restaurant standards. For food it was delicious for all 4 courses. Presentation although can be improved. For taste dal makhani was bit off balance for spices everything else was great. I hope this place works towards getting perfect and I hope it makes it to THE GUIDE some day.as it has potential.
I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good Indian restaurant in Calgary.
The food was delicious and the happy hour deals can't be beat!
Our Sever (Rheda) was polite and very professional while the Manager (Drea) checked in a couple of times throughout our meal and gave some great suggestions on what to do while in town.
All in all, I'll definitely be coming back! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!
Delicious! I went there last night with a friend and had a wonderful time. The Gunpowder Broccolini and Nana Ji's Potatoes are to die for. The Dal Makhani was delicious as well. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. I will definitely be coming back soon!
Absolutely loved the atmosphere and the ambiance of this place. The food was flavourful and did justice to the Indian cuisine. It was my first time here and I could tell that the work culture is positive. We were served by Yaisha, she was very friendly and made sure everything went smoothly. The front patio is so cute for dates since every table had its privacy. The classic bollywood songs playing in the back was just a cherry on top of this amazing experience, that was it for me lol.
Food is no doubt the best in Taste although Aloo Gobhi that we were served had minimal Gobhi and all aloo. Portions are very small even with $45 per person deal making it s but pricey
The stools at the high tables aren't the best, especially for my 6'5" boyfriend and his 6'8" brother who had to lean way over, but the brunch menu was absolutely amazing and the chai was delicious. We had the chicken, the egg chole and one of the feature eggs bennies. It was all great. I'll be back for sure.
First time being to Calcutta. Best Indian restaurant in calgary. Hands down! The kathi rolls were exceptional. The Naan just melts in your mouth. The onion salad, butter chicken, everything sooo fresh. Amber was an amazing host. Will be back for more soon! Made our evening. Thank you
Quite possibly my favourite restaurant in Calgary. Indian dishes with a modernized and unique flair, while still upholding traditional flavours and essence of the cuisine. The tasting menu is a must try on your first visit to truly experience what this restaurant has to offer. Setting and decor also cannot be matched - so trendy! And service is always so pleasant.
Was expecting more based on all the hype. Aloo Gobi was all aloo, no gobi and dry. Butter chicken was super salty and garlic naan was dry, no garlic not even butter. Portions were small. Left disappointed.
We ordered takeout and were very impressed. We knew CCC offered a fresh modern twist to Indian cuisine but still were surprised by how insanely delicious and unique every dish were. As always, take out is very challenging for restaurants and food will always be better indoors or on a patio for that matter but the food traveled very well and everything was packed properly. Strongly recommend.
So happy to be back dining in here. The food and atmosphere is fantastic. Hoping the TFC makes it on the regular menu as it is very good. Also highly recommend the kathi rolls and their new colab with cabin brewing - the perfect amount of sour in the beer! Cant wait to visit again.
Delicious food, well portioned, and the cocktails refreshing. Staff and server were very attentive and helpful. The ambiance was authentic and drew you away to someplace else. A very great place to spend a wedding anniversary dinner. Will be back.
Great atmosphere and delicious adult beverages! Our party really enjoyed the cocktails and beer choices. We loved the momos, papri chaat, kebab platter, butter chicken, Keralan black pepper mushrooms and the garlic naan. The garlic naan was phenomenal! We had a fabulous time and the service was amazing! Definitely recommend for a date night, family night, or a larger group.
Really good food! One of the best places in Calgary for Indian food. Really delicious, well prepared and beautiful presented. Their kulfi, Kathi roll are to die for! Their staff is courteous, jovial and really nice as well. Will most definitely visit again!
Incredible service from everybody on their team. Food is the best I’ve had as far as shareable Indian tapas. Can’t say enough about the service and hospitality though.
It was a “Saturdate Fundate” from the refreshing cocktails, Crushable Gin & Tonic/CCC Negroni and crispy Tandoori Prawns to start, followed by the deliciously prepared & tasty Buttered Chicken Masala & Beef Kosha with sides of Garlic Naan Bread & Basmati Rice. Finally for our sweet tooth: Vegan Chocolate Cheesecake. Truly an amazing dining experience for someone who is not a fan of strong spices. I recommend this place for a date night, family & friends gathering or simply dine out.
Good food, butter chicken is unlike any I had in calgary. Go on Sundays and get Roti roll for 5 bucks. Chai is like homemade. Service is awesome as well. Highly recommend this place
Everything here was amazing, the service and the food! We had the tasting menu (which I would heavily recommend) and some cocktails. Best Indian food in Calgary.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. They were prompt to check up on us. However we did have to wait a very long time for our food to arrive. Food did taste very good but wish the wait time between courses was shorter. Also the mango lassi had a very unusual texture.
Our favorite spot to grab cocktails on 17th. More of a lounge than a bar or restaurant. Bartenders and servers are super friendly and knowledgeable. Atmosphere is great. Cocktails are great.
Amazing dine in/patio experience. Reminds me of Dishoom in London, UK. Everything about this place was aesthetic. Loved the palm trees and vibe. The food was great too. Perfect onion and garlic naan. And I liked their Chettinad Prawn Masala.
One word, unreal! Delicious, exciting cocktails and a food menu that just won't quit. Our good pal Remi is a bartender here and even though it was his night off he went out of his way to make amazing recommendations for us! Priya treated us like gold and was very professional and kind, endless thanks for the great night Calcutta Cricket Club!
Great service and food. Really enjoyed the crushable gin drink (mango juice and chili flakes) as it complimented the smokiness and char on the food really well!
My wife and I had the pleasure of doing Christmas dinner with one of their dinner kits. It was absolutely fantastic. Portions were plenty for my wife, daughter and I. The Bombay style potatoes were absolutely unreal, as was the chicken, super juicy and tasty. Instructions were simple to follow and everything came together within about 20 minutes of the chicken being done and resting. Then cleanup was a matter of a handful of dishes. We'll certainly be doing more kits as they're offered. Hats off to the chef!
I've never had a dish or drink I didn't immensely love from Calcutta! Exceptional service full of thoughtful touches. I've celebrated almost everyone of my birthday dinners here and it's my first reccomendation for others to try. Try the kati rolls and the mango gin fizz at the bar!
My roommate and I made a very large order on Saturday, and although it seemed really busy, the staff was very organized for pickups, had just finished preparing our order, and were extremely friendly. The food was delicious; my roommate especially loves the fries and curry! AND they had this cute little staff suggestion sheet in the bag for music and movies! It was a really nice personal touch during a difficult time!
