Was a patient of Dr. Soumbasis going back 15+ years when his clinic was in Crowfoot and he was accepting new patients. He’s always been a great doctor but I stopped seeing him about 5 (2018) years ago when I had an MRSA infection and was told he could see me in 4 weeks. Needless to say I had to go to urgent care and I haven’t been to see him since because when I need a doctor I can’t wait a month or more to get in. This time decided to try him again to follow up after being treated for pneumonia at a different clinic. Receptionist never answers the phone and it’s many days to get a phone call back. Again 6 weeks to book in with Dr. Soumbasis. I just don’t see how this clinic can keep any patients when it’s many weeks for a doctors appointment and very disappointing as a long time patient to be treated this way and basically forced to find a new doctor after all this time.

Thank you to Nathan and the whole Caleo team. From the help at the reception to the many weeks of consult and training with my therapist, I could not have been happier with their care.

I saw Erin for a physio for my hand pain and she is amazing and professional. The front staff are friendly and helpful.
Would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family!

The doctors and staff warm and down to earth and over the top to work with. They are always willing to help you in a pain full situation, there’s always a smiling face waiting for you makes to feel more than welcome for treatment, thank you keep up the great work

Dr Rooyen is awesome, Jenny does not do her job, Doctor asked her to make a call and Jenny looked at me and told me to make the call. I watched her dismiss a patient who was requesting a letter she needed, Jenny was rude. Send her to customer service training and teach her manners and to do her job. I’m going to go to another clinic.

Great clinic. Between the doctors, back surgery and physio from Sarah I have had a great experience.

Little to no information pre appointment and $250 dollar fee for what? A 10 minute talk with a chiropractor? I left without learning a single thing about my back problem. The chiro didn’t even do any adjustments or anything. Just asked questions and that’s. They reviewed a 4 year old MRI and ordered me a new one. My local doc could’ve done that and I wouldn’t have had to drive 5 hours round trip for nothing. Overpriced, and poor service in my opinion. Shop around to find a good MD.

Seriously gave me my life back. Clean, efficient, good bedside manner and just all around amazing

Have been to the clinic since 2015, paid my $250 seen by a GP, bone scan done, cant get a follow up on results!
Expect they got money from AHS so not motivated to see me!
This looks to be a money grab scam fronted by unqualified people!
Will update if they acutuately have a diagnosis!
My friend also was delayed, his symptom's were not attended to, a year later he has stage 4 spine cancer, Hodgkins lymphoma.
If I am delayed further with a bad diagnosis, I will engage legal action and media coverage!
I will not go quietly!

Very happy with this clinic. In and out within 20 minutes. I got treated with the upmost respect from the kindest doctors, nurses and employees. Would recommend for sure.

Calio health is a really good doctor patient relation clinic and I was passed on to Dr. Aziz that’s covering for another doctor on maternity leave, Dr. Mina Aziz is an amazing back surgeon and really needs to stay on with Calio health. He noticed something on my MRI that three other back surgeons completely missed and didn’t take the time to look at he is so detailed oriented. I’m beyond happy with the job he has done and his secretary Jodi are fantastic people. I am beyond happy with the service they have provided to me and I believe that JODI as a secretary is an amazing person and the way she handles Dr. Aziz is patients and Dr. Aziz has amazing bedside manner with his patience I am so glad that I was a patient of his and how well he took care of me and continues to take care of me

These people only exist to manage the rationing of healthcare. When it comes to spine injuries these people couldn't diagnose a decapitation. I spent 4 years on a waiting list for a 5 minute appointment with a neurosurgeon who couldn't even read an x-ray.
These people were zero help in the years I was a patient. I finally found my own treatment and care in the US.

After years of being told it will heal on its own, do some yoga, or flat out just being passed off as looking for pain pills, I actually felt heard and validated as someone suffering with a severe back. The process seems strange at first, you have do an assesment, then you see a physiotherapist who evelautes you without any knowledge yet of what you may be experiencing, then he meets with you and the dr and they evaluate you together. The physiotherapist was bang on and the dr was rather shocked at my MRI. The process is long but will be worth it and hopefully I can return to my normal activites sooner than later. I look foward to moving ahead with this clinic and the process involved. The next step will be seeing the kinesiologist and getting some great advice to help along the way (btw that is a free session and counter balances the $250 fee making it worth it.also that fee is covered under insurance as a physiotherapist visit.)

This place is awesome. I had a herniated disc and these guys took great care of me and I haven’t had an issue with it since and that’s been five years ago!
I’d recommend this place to anyone who is having back issues. Caleo Health is truly ahead of its time when it comes to these types of issues.

I waited 20 years to have my back pain figured out. I finally got referred here and paid the $200 new patient assessment fee. I went for scans and they showed me what the issue was. Dr. Soumbassis said there was nothing tuay could be done and prescribed some pills. I had fusing vertabrae and there is absolutely things that can be done. I had a sour taste in my mouth with his absolute unprofessionalism during our visits. Then covid hit. I had not gone back and tried to rebook 6 months later- only to be told I would need to pay the $200 assessment fee again. I was so annoyed. I guess once your year passes after doing your scans initially you need to book again before the year is up or they consider you a new patient? !? ! So I have been getting worse and haven't been back to continue with finding a solution because I couldn't afford it again. So sad about this. My pain is getting debilitating and all my scans are there waiting. I have nonchoice but tonoay to get back in to continue treatment. Super shady.

The most wonderful experience.had back surgery over two years ago and so nice to live pain free.

Everyone I have met at Caleo (the spine clinic, physio, pain injections and the cannabis clinic) have been kind, helpful, professional and knowledgeable. I can’t say enough good things about my physio therapist Sarah Jury. She is the best physio I’ve ever been to. She takes time, she listens and doesn’t rush me. I highly recommend this place if you are struggling with injury or pain.

I was referred by my family Dr. I've been having a lot of nerve pains on my lower back that radiates to my feet, so was having so many sleepless nights. It was such a disappointed that I paid the $250 fee thinking I was seeing a specialist.but instead it was just "chiropractor", he was no help at all! All he did was quick scanned through my MRI reports and suggested that I go for pain therapy injections, he told me after the injections come back & see him again. I told him it only help for about 2 months, but the pain came back. Then again gave me another requisition to go for another injection. But the 2nd injection was no help at all.went back to see him, he said there's not much else he can do except do another injection in different spot.he told me to think about it and that he'll just write me the requisition. If all that was he's going to do.why do I need to paid $250! I could've saved that money & time toward other Actual treatments. Such a money grab!
I've finally found someone who can actually able to help me with my nerve pains. She's a physio in NW, her name is Claudia - she's very knowledgeable about nerve pains.

I suffered with pain for over 3 years! I had a microdiscectomy in my L4/L5. I tried everything to avoid surgery. Dr. Scandal makes you feel very comfortable. I literally had a day surgery and can't thank him enough. My leg pain is completely gone after 6 months of Physio and exercise. Looking back I wish I would have gotten the surgery sooner. Anybody out there that has a herniated disc and suffers from nerve pain. Trust me when I say get the surgery but go with a surgeon like Cundal who knows his stuff. Horrible experience and didn’t even step foot in the door! Got approved by WCB (after my rejection) so I was trying to call and get my $250 back (just filled out the forms online.) I left multiple voicemails and no one called me back. When someone finally called (to book my appointment, they weren’t event calling me back from my voicemail) they will only refund me $230 because of an admin fee! How silly is that? They didn’t even do anything and stole $20 of my money! Don’t go to a clinic that makes you pay $250, won’t call you back then steals $20 from you!

This place is not good. I won't single out the doctor, but give you the gist of his train of thoughts. "Take some pills", they didn't work, "here try these ones then". Several years of going back with major back issues. "sorry we can't do anything for you". Finally go so frustrated and found a new doctor at a new clinic. WHAT A DIFFERENCE having a doctor that listens. She did blood work after what was described, found out B12 was dangerously low causing nerve damage. She prescribed B12 shots.now the back issues are manageable, had it been caught when first brought up to them it may have been fixable.but Calio did no tests.when people say get a second opinion listen to them.especially with this clinic.

Had and continue having an excellent experience with Caleo. Had a spinal fusion three years ago and the staff were always warm, compassionate and competent. My life and fitness have improved significantly with the holistic care (Physio, massage, surgery) provided at Caleo.

After paying $250 for registration and a long wait time, I was completely disappointed to find out that my son's appointment was with a family physician, not a specialist. We already have a family physician who gave us a referral for the Caleo Health as specialized clinic. The Caleo doctor was rude and not helpful. He didn't tell us anything new and when we asked questions, he told us to ask about it our family physician who referred us to the clinic. They put us on a wait list to see a surgeon in 24 months, but they're not sure if that would be a surgical case. It is ridiculous that the Caleo family physician will write a report to our family doctor. Is that why we payed $250? What a scam.

I have been going to physio here for the last few months. The physio staff are amazing! I am always greeted with a smile and by name. The therapists are looking out for your best interest and want the best outcome for their patients. I highly recommend Caleo Health!

What a joke.your family doctor can help you way better! That is if you have a doctor that knows his stuff! This clinic robs people of their money. Our public health care offers better care. Plus why should I pay to see a doctor? And get no treatments? What a joke. If you get referred its because the doctor who refereed you need to be replaced. You need to see a real doctor or referred to a specialist that does not incur a fee of $250.00! Do not go to this clinic be ware!

Avoid! Simply don't waste your time waiting in line when you can go elsewhere. You go in with a real pain problems and it seems like all they want to do is redirect you to someone in the clinic selling medical marijuana. The place is a cash grab, $250.00 to get in, then they want to sell you Physio, and any other services they can, and since they can't get the cash from any prescriptions they'll push you into buying weed. You're better off to seeking medical attention from a doctor that receives no financial benefit for whatever medical attention is prescribed.

I hurt my shoulder playing hockey and went in to see Sarah. Best treatment I have ever received by far. She even got me to do acupuncture which I was hesitant to try. The results I received after seeing Sarah were fantastic. The office was extremely accommodating in terms of appointment times to fit my busy schedule! Highly recommend Caleo Health and their whole team!

I would not recommend this clinic. I had my spinal fusion mid last year there and am worse off then I was before. I had daily pain prior to surgery but was still able to handle my daily living. Now, my pain is so bad that I can only walk with a walker and have to pay for services i.e. Cleaning, food delivery because I cannot do them anymore. My whole life has changed for the worse since surgery. I have severe pain and cannot sit or stand for long. I haven't been able to participate on any social activities since last year. The surgeon recently dismissed me saying that there was nothing he could do for me anymore and referred me to a pain specialist at the same clinic. I saw this person second time today to discuss some diagnostic results. I had to wait over 1/2 an hour with appointment to be seen and then felt I was rushed to get out of there when the doctor finally came. He made a comment "you failed suregery". What, like a test I failed. He got annoyed when I took my time to ask questions and required clarification. He even made a huffing sound of annoyance. I am not a professional and cannot say why my pain is worse then before. I can just say I regret that I went through with the surgery. Due to my not being recovered, I now am labled permanently disabled.

Understanding, thorough and compassionate care. Finally felt heard and had my concerns addressed. Thank you Caleo team.

Terrible practice. Never going back to this place. Will write a letter to the minister of Alberta Health Services with my experience attending this place. Stubborn and harassing support staff.

DO NOT GO HERE! If you do make 110% sure you do not see Dr. MCGOWN I believe thats how its spelt. He is there to torture and try to hurt you. I have back, hip and other issues and he grabbed my foot and pulled my whole leg up in the air and as i fell back on bed in extreme pain I hit my head on wall. Then as soon as I could get back to a seated position he did it again with no warning. I wanted to run out of there, but instead I crawled out. Now I'm stuck laying in bed for days til I can at least get over the pain and injuries he caused. The physio guy named Jeff WAS really good and explained all very well. But still recommend staying away and saving your money. Not worth the damages!

Caleo has made enough grievous error in my case that I have made a complaint about them through my physician, have a current complaint about them going through the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, and I have formally requested MAID as a result of their negligence. My story is bring considered for publication on the Dying with Dignity Canada Website. The doctors there have been beyond negligent. Named in my case are Dr. Soumbasis and Dr. Mcgown.

Amazing staff and information is presented in a concise was so there is no question as to the way forward.

54 years old and wearing a ScoliBrace. Along with Schroth exercises and healthy living, the brace has given me POWER. I can cycle, skate, do yoga with less pain and also enjoy my daily living activities with more JOY! Thank you Dr. Mendes for your continued help with my scoliosis journey.

PS. (I was diagnosed with Scoliosis when I was twelve years old and wore a Boston Brace until I was 15 years old). I was so relieved to meet Dr. Mendes this year! His special focus in Scoliosis is exactly what I needed with my ongoing Scoliosis challenges.

I am a 52 year old fitness instructor and Yoga instructor with Idiopathic scoliosis that is 3-dimensional with a 61 degree curvature. About 3 years ago I found Dr. Mendes who changed my life first with the SpineCor brace and most recently with a Scolibrace. I do my weight training with my brace on and in the last 6 months my curvature has decreased from 64 degrees to 61! Thank God & Dr. Mendes!
