Very friendly and professional staffs. The location is clean. Good rates and they charge a small amount of fee.

Best exchange rates in Calgary and fees are pretty fair. The staff who helped us was nice and accommodating. Great location inside Chinook Centre. Highly recommended.

Surprised and disappointed today! A big 5 national bank has a more favourable exchange rate and less the $4.50 flat fee than Calforex. The bank required ordering and takes 3 to 5 days for delivery. I started exchanging here years ago to avoid the big banks' predatory rates. It's a great place for immediate exchange. Guess it's worth checking out competitors periodically.

Staff was friendly and efficient but only 2 cashiers on duty. 8 people ahead of me on line. When I was leaving there were at least 20 people in line. You nwed more stFf.

Calforex rates are about the same as bank (or a tad bit better). If you need same day exchange this is the best place for foreign exchange.
They apply a $5 service fees per transaction.

It’s great that they charge a flat rate. But you do know that they skim money off by charging a higher rate then what the currency standard is for that day. So the flat rate is bogus.

Quiet, clean currency exchange establishment. Nice staff, friendly and knowledgeable. A small flat fee of $4.50 and your dollar can be exchanged for dozens of currencies around the world. Will be back!

My greatest regret is that I didn't take out time to checkout these poor reviews before heading to the office at Chinook Mall, I have never felt this bad in my life before as I felt today, when I was obviously racially profiled by a very short Asian lady behind the counter referred to as the manager. After asking series of unecessary questions and provided answers and documentations and even sent her email copies of documents, she blatantly refused to proceed with my transaction, and was yelling out so everyone could here our conversation without respecting my privacy.the worse customer service ever

I think your staff need to be able to communicate better and clearly. I was there yesterday around 2: 45pm and I was told that it was too late to carry out my transaction and was advised to come before 2: 30pm. The lady also said I had to come with another draft. When I called earlier in the day to ask for rates, I was told to be there before 2: 30pm, but I assumed it was because daily rates change by that time and not because I could not be attended to. I would have factored that in (although getting the draft from the bank took way longer than I expected).

On my way back to the bank to get another draft (same day), I decided to call the number on the bank staff's business card instead, to let her know I was on my way to get another draft. She suggested I didn't need another one since I planned to go back to you guys the next day, but I thought to call you guys back and was told the exact thing - that I would not need a different draft if I was coming the next day.

Armed with that information, I came back to your office the next day (today) and was told I couldn't be attended to because the date on the draft was yesterday's, not today's. Unfortunately, the lady who misled me was not on seat so i must have looked like a liar coupled with the fact that my transaction was still not facilitated (not to mention the time and money wasted).

All of this could have been avoided if the communication had been clear from scratch (although, I'm not sure why she told me I could come back with the same draft) Very frustrating experience especially for a first time.

I don't know why they ask you personal information just to exchange less than 500$, bad customer services.

I did have an issue with increased % exchange rate. But it was satisfactorily resolved which I was appreciated.
How you handle problems is the best way to judge a company's business practices.

Natasha was great! I had a bunch of questions while I was getting some money exchanged, and she answered every single of them and had such a great attitude! I'll definitely be coming back for all my future trips!

Brett was very knowledgeable and helpful! He advised me on how much to take based on my budget and length of stay. The rates were competitive compared to my bank! Ill be back and will recommend to friends and relatives.

The only currency exchange in Calgary and they don't take currency.if you have anything other than euro, your SOL. Funny how we can bring money from other countries into ours.and not use it or give it back. Banks tell you to go here because they dont know it's useless. You might as well buy your currency In the country your going to, And then toss it over a bridge on the way back. Cuz they wont buy it. No one will. Then I was told kajiji.wow. This guy thought it would be cost effective for me to sell pesos in calgary on kijiji. Like i said might as well throw it away. No problems with customer service as i was not there long enough for them to make an impression good or bad. Just a terrible business that makes money off doing nothing. Must be nice

Hahahahahahahaha, not a chance. Good to know you track people that have a negative review, Now my customer service review goes down. Also I checked the value of all my currency before hand and knew the value.
I also knew I would take a loss.
But my review was about currency exchange.which is vague at best, but I stand by it.

Called to inquiry about availability of Iceland Kronas. Alexander was very helpful in checking to see if the amount I was requesting was available. Fortunately it was, so he reserved the amount in my name, allowing me time to drive to Calforex to obtain it. We live outside of Calgary. Alexander advised me to let whichever teller serving me about the reserved amount, but as luck had it, he turned out to be the one who served me. Even in person Alexander was professional, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with, which was much appreciated.

Very rude over the phone.

EDIT: They are now making up a lie that I was trying to sell something, as seen in the reply below (almost six months after my initial review?). To give the benefit of the doubt, perhaps they have mistaken me for someone else as it's been so long since I actually phoned them. However, just to clarify - I was indeed a "true" client looking for a particular currency, which they did not carry and were very rude about it.

Great Customer Service, very professional and friendly. Mr. Brett Has been the service agent who helped me with the Forex, few times. Very friendly, professional, fast and accurate. Thank you Brett and Calforex need more like Mr. Brett.

Not happy with this exchange rate. On top of this I waited 10 min for my transaction. They have time to do training with my time. Is ridiculous to pay more and to waist my time. Not recommend at all.

I stopped in for the first time today, had a few questions, and the lady was extremely helpful and friendly. I'll be coming back soon for sure!

Went there to change from 20$ Us bills in 1 and 5 for my vacation tips but this guys didn’t want to change it because is company policy to not help others only to gain after them.never go back to them and even the exchange rates are low Disappointed

Reasonable currency exchange rates and transaction fee, 4 tellers serving customers. Real time exchange rates for several currencies displayed on monitor making it easy to calculate your transaction.

Extremely friendly and even better service! All the tellers are patient as well as efficient so you never have to wait too long in line!

Great, fast service! Despite some extremely rude customers James kept calm and continued with great costumer service.

Never again will I use this location. As the only person in this retail location, the rep.suggested the only way to fulfill my order was to split it in 5, and incur 5x the fees, in order to provide fairness to the other customers.

Service was great and I got competitive rates compared to the banks. Plus the lady who helped me (Natasha) was very helpful.

I was welcomed by a lovely Brett. He is quick, kind, and very helpful. Brett is also confident and knowledgeable with what he does and very professional. I felt a warmth and happiness in the environment of the business as I entered.
