Terrible service, employees running between two seats but the line still on the same spot.

I needed some USD and after the last time I bought from the bank I was told about Calforex; i decided to try them out. They had the best rate and the lowest service fee (only $4.50) compared to some of the banks I looked into. The lady who helped me was very friendly and made sure to explain to keep my receipt if I needed to exchange the money back once my trip was over and I wouldn't have to pay the service fee again. I definitely would come here again!

Very rude and despicable Asian staff.
They come to Canada and still carry their filthy culture.
Hope the management considers this point.

Best place to go for exchanging and sending money. Provides you with the best rates and great customer service. The guy I think his name was Ishaan was very friendly and helpful. Would recommended this place to everyone.

Went in there today going to exchange my Chinese New Year lucky money was okay for the waiting time I work in retail However the lady at the front told me that my 2000 dollar Taiwanese bill was gonna be less cause it was less desired and when I asked her why she just said it was harder to sell which I was okay with. Then I asked if i could pay the 3.75 on my prepaid debit cause it had like 5 bucks on it she said no and was really rude and said that it would screw up the transaction. When it came to finishing the transaction she just threw the money like she didn’t care on top of the envelope. When I asked her to put it in for me she just sighed in this really disrespectful tone and I just felt like what did I do wrong. I dont come often but I work in retail and I know how tough it is but that’s not how you should treat your customers. Truly disappointing.

Use to be my go to place for money change, but this place has definitely gone downhill since people working here changed. Gave them a call to ensure they have enough cash, asked for documentation required and brought everything with myself. When I was there they asked for more information which I supplied promptly. However after 40min of travel to WEM (and another 40 back) and waiting at the counter for 1hr and 17mins I was told that they cannot get hold of their boss over the phone. So I took my money and told them that when I asked over the phone and I complied with all their requirements why would they harass me like that. The answer by the new Filipino lady was that next time mention your name (I have a Muslim name) when you call so we can provide what’s required for you. I felt very disgusted when I heard that and just left the place. During my 1hr and 17mins of investigation (note that money came from one usd account in my bank and going to another account CAD in the same bank) Many people came and went and were served within 5-10mins and there I was standing like a criminal, answering all questions about what I do and what my father does and what my mother does and which country I belong to (Canadian citizen since last 20years). And all this inquiry by a lady who herself probably just got off the plane from Philippines (based on her command on the language and non Canadian attitude). It’s unfortunate that due to cost cuts, these cheap labour faces have now become the face big organizations. Shame on this lady and shame on Calforex for having untrained employees like her managing the place.

Very unprofessional and highly incompetent staff. Place was good before but has gone down the drain since. Called up to ensure money was available and documentation requirement is satisfied but upon getting to the location waited for over an hour only to come back empty handed as the compliance officer was not answering the calls made by the peeps at the location. The lady at the front said I tried calling my compliance officer over 20 tines but she is not picking up the phone.the she went may be because it’s a weekend. Close it if it’s a weekend! Don’t pretend to be working. Surprised at some positive reviews here, but know some people who worked at this location and apparently the Positive reviews are either paid for or entered by family and friends of staff and management at the location. Never coming back. Next thing you’ll see is all these clowns getting onto their systems and giving it 5 starts to keep the overall ranking up

I preordered my currency from my bank and yet it was delayed, and so would not be available for my trip the next day. Fortunately i was recommended to Calforex as they have better rates, even after their flat fee of $3.75, plus they had all denominations available for MXN and USD. Will be coming to Calforex from now on!

I highly recommend the West Edmonton Mall branch. They have very good rates compared to the banks and other currency exchange stores. Princess is also very good. She is very professional and helpful.

Slow service, rude and incompetent staff, huge line, unhappy customers. Tellers don't know how to deal with customers in a respectful manner.

Very poor rate and a service fee. I didn't have time to shop around and got some Euros just before going to airport, this mistake cost me around $70 with the poor exchange rate offered. I have figured out now I'm better off just waiting to get the country of destination and withdrawing from an ATM, way better rate direct from my bank and a smaller fee.

Exchange rate is great but 1 lady dark haired staff is rude, shes not friendly. U need proper customer service lady. Male staff are more accomodating, not coming back anymore

The best currency exchange. Calforex has very competitive rates compared to the banks. I exchanged 3 different currencies last week and the teller who helped me was very knowledgeable and engaging to everyone thant he served. He clearly explained everything that I need to know and he has an excellent customer service. I asked his name and his name is Carl from West Edmonton Mall location. I highly recommend their service.

Their rates are ok but when I called them to find out the exchange rates they never mentioned the $3.75 transaction fee that you have to pay on top

This was our second time visiting WEM Calforex and getting currencies for our trip and nothing but amazing experience. Very friendly and efficient staff!

The staff appear to be miserable. Asking for smaller notes results in a sigh, eyes rolled and told no smaller bank notes available. I left with a bad emotion from the grumpy staff.

Always prompt and friendly service. They have the best rates and their buyback at same rate is awesome. I always get smaller Bill's to tip and never have a problem.

Worst service ever. I have used this branch in the past and their location at Southgate. I have always highly recommended them to others looking for a place to exchange their currency. I will not be recommending this location anymore. Staff member had zero people skills and pretty much threw the money at me when I left. No "thank you" or anything. She seemed a bit to busy chatting with her co-worker.

The staff at Calforex WEM are amazing to work with.the rates are better than you will receive at the bank, and the service charges are lower. I use this company on a fairly regular basis for purchasing foreign currency.
