By far the worst service I have received. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU NEED TO TAKE PHOTOS OF AN INFANT! These people are the most impatient and unprofessional I've encountered. They will assign you someone who is in training and then train them as they are servicing you. On the other hand, they have no patience if your infant is being fussy and will not accommodate you in any way, exchanging dirty looks with each other even as you are struggling. Save your money and go elsewhere.

They made a very nice, large memorial photo of my mom for her celebration of life. They were able to do it with just two days notice. Prior to this, they also blew up some incredibly nice photographs that my sister gave to them. I would definitely use them again.

Very bad customer service. Total waste of time and money. My son took a passport picture at this place in March. I called ahead to ask if they could print that picture in the size required for PR renewal. They said there was no problem. I paid for it and when they gave it to me, it was the wrong size, so they told me in order to print it on PR size, my son has to take a new picture again. I also had my picture taken that day for the same reason, and asked both pictures to be stamped in the back with the date and name of the place, I was told they only stamp one picture, if I wanted to have the stamp on both I have to pay for a second set of pictures. I came in for a custom framing job on a poster with sentimental value. The poster was from a video game, so I was worried it would be seen as frivolous, but the staff there were extremely excited about the project and even talked me through ideas to make the frame itself meaningful! Their artistry and professionalism was apparent every step of the way. A warning that it wasn't cheap, but good custom work will be and the price was extremely fair for what I got.

I've previously gotten passport photos - they are one of the few places I could find that could meet foreign requirements and they did great, the photos were accepted.

We came in today with our 3 kids for passport photos based off the good reviews regarding their work with kids - I even called ahead to make sure they are indeed good with kids and I was assured they are. Our middle child is very high energy - and may slightly be on the spectrum. Regardless of that, she’s super responsive and so sweet.

When we arrived I immediately told the girl that was helping us to please take our middle child first, and I explained we had to move fast with her - though she seemed nice, she proceeded to take my eldest daughter despite what I said.

Once we got our middle child in the chair, she was thankfully still responsive but they couldn’t get the shot perfect because she was either smiling or hands were up etc. We did everything they asked (go get food or candy so she can keep her mouth shut) - this all was killing time and with our middle child, she gets distracted easily and will lose interest.

Our middle child is trained to smile for photos, so she didn’t understand the mission, which is understandable. This was a 2+ person job on top of myself and my eldest daughter helping - They had 3 staff working. One of the staff asked “are we dealing with high energy or special needs? ”. I was appalled someone asked me that so bluntly and as a mom, my heart broke for my child who is just sitting there for a long time, smiling, thinking she is doing a good job.

One of the staff explained to another customer that they have a toddler (my child) that was not being cooperative which again was inappropriate. To label her high energy or special needs and not cooperative is not kind considering she’s just a child that hasn’t done this before. We got the photos in the end, and I do appreciate this took patience, I just wish they would have collectively come together and made it happen faster, be more empathetic, and positive. They could have shut the doors for 5 minutes and worked with me to get it fast and give us a great experience.

The staff was extremely helpful in getting passport photos for my 2 week-old daughter and myself. They have a good set up for infants and have the dedication to get the picture you need for your passport document. Service was also super fast. I highly recommend them for your family!

Great for infant and toddler passport photos. After our newborn was turned away from two other photo places, we found Calgary Custom Photo. They were super quick and efficient with our two week old and they were super patient with our moody 2.5 year old, even as she melted down. I'd definitely recommend them for great service and quick passport photos for newborns and kids!

My favorite photo finishing place, as an ex-professional phographer, when I require special services such as large enlargement, plaque mounting; the list of their service is extensive, always excellent and moderately-priced. Also very knowledgeable staff, who can cater to either basic photographers, or advanced individuals like me; with 60 years of experience in photofinishing

I 100% agree with others who said poor quality, rude staff and not a proper place or lighting for the photo shoot. Water $26 and got a horrible photo face that is not straight I even asked her that time and she mentioned that the software will make it right when I said can you make it look even that time she said we can’t edit the photos. The photo itself looks not real the quality is too high and too much contrast is added to the hair. A real photo never had so much dark hair when my actual hair is brown dyed. Idk what kind of revenge she was taking on me. More about the quality of its garage. The printing sheet is cheap and yes the girl didn’t even greet me was on the phone the whole time, and later on, attended to me but never paid attention. Will never return to this store.

I can't even begin to say how much I love this shop. They helped me with my father's celebration of life poster - design and printing and it turned out beautifully with quick turnaround. I use the online ordering system which is super easy to use and always printed the same day. The clerks are always friendly, helpful and efficient when I go in to collect. I've used their services about 10 times in the last month and have never had a problem. Highly recommended. Lorna

They literally charge 2-3x more than everyone else. Passport phots are 10-12$, here they charge $26.00…. DO NOT COME HERE

Just had a large panoramic image printed and plaque-mounted by CCPS, and it's flawless! I've had a few large prints made here and I'm always impressed by the speed and quality. Pricing is also more than fair. I can't recommend Nigel and his team enough.

Fast, efficient, they really know their stuff. I will go out of my way to get passport photos (US and Canada), permanent resident photos, etc. From them. They know how to do it all, and do it right the first time. Really refreshing!

It might be culture difference. But the staff pointed at me by his index finger when he tried to communicate with me. Before that, He was talking to another customer who is a senior Caucasian lady in a pleasant customer service manner. The passport photo costs 31$. But probably the Walmart photo station has a better service.

Went to this studio with high expectations and was severely disappointed. My order was a simple change of background on a digital print and to take 5X7 print. They took advance payment assuring they will send me the proof to review within 2 days. 10 days gone and no news, I called to find they have misplaced the soft copies! After reiterating my details 3 times, they found the copy after another couple of days and eventually finished the work in a rush without my review. Horrible work, I could have done a better job with a free software without wasting time and money. NOT RECOMMENDED!

I needed a small amount of pictures for an event the following day but had placed an order the night before. The time scale to get pictures developed was 1-2 days. Out of uncertainty I put in the notes asking if I could have these pictures developed before the end of the day tomorrow. The morning of the following day I woke up to an e-mail saying that my pictures were done at 9AM! I was so surprised, so happy! When I came in to pick up the pictures the kind gentleman at the desk greeted me and acknowledged that he saw my message on how urgent my scenario was and IMMEDIATELY got my pictures done for me that very morning! I was so ecstatic. The pictures were also beautifully printed and looked professional. I also purchased a frame and the kind older gentlemen at the desk helped me install the picture for me too. Thank-you so much Calgary Custom Photo Services! My family and I thank and appreciate you!

Owner will patronize you while he plays bait and switch with his products and makes up shockingly high prices on the spot. Staff are professional and courteous though.

Fantastic experience, beautiful results! Ordered easily online after trying other sites that don't have nearly the amount of sizing options that CCPS has! Ordered on Sunday and it was ready on Monday, pick up was simple and customer service was friendly!

Had a passport photo taken few months ago. Their cost is doubled compared to other studios and the quality of photo printed is indeed the worst and terrible. It looks very cheap and blurred.

They made it right

Without getting into too much detail, I brought in 3000+ photos to have digitally scanned. They were not completed in a timely manner. Once Nigel (owner) found this out, he took care of me and made up for the delay 10 fold. This is a locally owned business that I have supported for many years and will continue to support for the foreseeable future. Service is outstanding. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The scans were completed in top quality format. I couldn’t be happier. Thanks again for taking care of all my photo needs. Highly recommended

Nigel and his team just converted all my old camcorder mini tapes from the UK into digital format. Really impressed - good service, excellent communication, and very pleased with the digital files. I am so happy that we finally found someone who could do this for us!

They messed with the lighting in our photos, so they were barely recognizable from what we submitted. The guy had his nose hanging out over his mask, and the place was intensely imbued with B. O. We should have gone to Walmart, which would have been far more pleasant.

I had passport photos taken at this shop: they were prepared quickly and to a very high standard. I will use this service again.

I would recommend paying AFTER receiving your photos. They get quite snarky and rude once you've already paid. Otherwise they are indeed capable of printing photos as a basic task

Had 3 pieces that I wanted printed on metal. Nigel was very helpful reviewing the images and ensuring the colours were maintained in the images. It was great to discuss the process and the product looks fantastic.

The help I received recently from CCPS went away beyond good service. Nigel spent at least an hour getting important wedding photos downloaded to a memory stick for me. He wouldn’t accept any payment for his time.
I’ve also used Nigel”s and the employees expertise in the past and I’ve always been very happy with the pictures, photo books etc.
CCPS is a great place to go for all your photo services. I highly recommend it.

Call them up saying I needed a single photo printed out for a particular license. They say it's $25. I ask how much not to take the photo, just a single print as I have the photo. They say it's still $25. Ha, good luck staying alive in this economy with those kind of rip off tactics.

We wanted to print photo cards to support our senior friends at the Mackenzie Towne Care Center experiencing challenging times. Nigel offered friendly, efficient service to ensure that we had beautiful photo cards to gift to the residents the next day. Not only did Nigel go out of his way to complete the order, but Calgary Custom Photo Services graciously contributed a donation to complete over 150 photo cards for staff and elderly residents of Mackenzie Towne and Mount Royal Senior Care Centers. The photo cards are fantastic and we can’t say enough about the quality service and the commitment to the community. Please support local! We are so appreciative of the many services this family run business has to offer Calgarians.

One of the only places to get infant passport photos taken. Prompt and efficient. Only had to wait 15 minutes.

Quick and knowledgeable staff. Portrait photos are a bit steep in price ($25) and competitors have it as low as $10. However if you are looking into investing for good shots, this is a great place for that.

I came here to get passport photos done, and I just went into, got my photos taken, waited for 15 minutes (thankfully there’s a food court nearby) and got my passport photos all done! They even stamp the back of it so you don’t have to wait long for them to write the address of the store or the date. Even when I made a mistake by switching guarantors and scribbling so much on the back that the passport office won’t accept it, they were able to quickly reprint and re-stamp my photos! All without a second charge! Highly recommend this place!
Also, I saw them take newborn baby passport photos after mine were taken, and they had all these tricks to get the baby to close their mouth and keep their eyes open that the photos were done very quickly too! So if you have a newborn that needs passport photos, I recommend this place too!

I needed passport photos for my 3 month old. I was a bit worried that it’s gonna be quite a hustle. But it was smooth as a butter. They have little frame jig ready for the infants. No rush, no pressure. The lady patiently waited untill my daughter was ready and fully awake. When I laid her down on the frame, she just started snapping pictures to make sure she doesn’t miss the moment when baby looks directly at the camera. I will definitely come back

These guys definitely deserve 5 stars review. There price might seem little on the higher side, but their picture quality is better than many other places, and definitely better than Walmart studio.
I took 2 passport pictures on Sunday, and next Tuesday I called them and told them that I lost the pictures, they said come on over and we will give you another set of 2. They could have charged me again, but they gave me another set for free.

Great service.just a little on the higher end price wise for the lack of quality in their photos.

I took a passport photo with my wife here. The price is too high for the quality we received. We got our photos taken in the middle of the shop! No special lighting, no private cabin, no mirror to check your self before the photo. In conclusion our new passport photos looks as terrible as the old ones:)

Seems like the picture were blurry so they try to fix it, and you could see the pixelated photos,
So disappointed! And they are very expensive,
26$ for garbage photos, I had to put them on the garbage and went to get new ones at other place.

This place is fantastic. Rose is so awesome - she is helpful and happy. We needed a couple of last minute passport photos and we called her and she was totally ready for us when we got there. Never made us feel bad for being bad planners.

I went in for PR Card photo. The staffs are friendly however I had questions that they could not answer. And few days later my photo was declined because of reflection on my forehead. I just couldn't trust them anymore because they could not check for details like this. I found out that there are other places that does a better job for half of what these guys do for better quality. If you want to pay twice as much for half a decent job for passport photos this is the place. However I had good exprience making photo books here with pre taken photos.
