Great local shops that are varied with their offerings and each of them is so great to deal with. The food court has a bunch of delicious choices to go for a tasty lunch while you're shopping here.
Can find everything I need here, I especially love visiting the imported cheese and meats shop. Lucs is very knowledgeable and helpful with recommendations. They also have specialties; I recently purchased some wild boar Pate for my son which was quite an interesting find and reasonably priced. Bauer meats is always a stop as well to get some of their bison jerky, yum!
The best Farmers Market in Calgary. Wide selection of produce and meat vendors. Tons of options to grab a quick bite. With rising inflation the organic, locally grown and sourced produce is the way to go with Big chains now charging 70-90% of the price found here.
Love going here for peaches - they have the best peaches in season. The food court offers great options and the food is high quality. There is also a great coffee place at the main entrance that I never miss!
This is a fantastic indoor market that is a permanent fixture in Calgary year round. The playground is a great place to sit with my friend and have a coffee and watch our littles run around! There are many vendors of all kinds, fast food and grocery along with alcohol and artists.
Was a good time. Not as good as the other farmers market closer to the down town area. Was a good experience ate lunch which was good. Lots and lots of people.
Yum bakery makes amazing cookies, pies and almond croissants. Flower shop is excellent, they made me a beautiful and affordable bouquet. Lots of delicious food at the food court.
The super market has all the chines grocery supplies and more! Great place to pick up you stir-fry vegetables, your favorite noodles, and sauces out of great variety of selections. Also, there are great selection of fresh bakery product and a wide selection of frozen products such as dumpling! The store has a good take out hot-food selection stand as well as a restaurant.
The Farmers' Market in Calgary was truly amazing! There were restaurants from various countries, and the aroma of diverse cultures filled the air. There were so many choices that it was hard to decide, from spicy Indian curries to fresh Mexican tacos. I also came across plenty of local fresh vegetables and fruits. The vibrant array of colorful vegetables was beautifully displayed, leaving a very fresh impression. The market had a lively atmosphere, and it was evident that people were enjoying themselves.
This market is perfect! Many many different food businesses and they are all good. The fruit in summer is very good too but it’s open all year. Organic produce or regular it’s all fresh and tasty as are the food stalls if you’re hungry right away!
Usually love this place! Thursday at lunch though, kids from the neighboring school POLUTE the place. Push and shoved myself and my disable client in order to get ahead of us in line and to get a table. PACKED. There's doesn't seem to be a restriction on capacity. Very poor managing by the farmers market.
Lots of fresh food, from the farm directly to the market! And opportunities to purchase gifts from stocking stuffers to full Christmas presents. And maybe the best part is the numerous food stalls serving a variety of meals and drinks.
At first my kids were not thrilled about going here, but after getting inside they can't wait to come back! Prices are high, but you are supporting local.
An awesome permanent farmer's market in southern Calgary. You will find lots of fresh vegetables here. As well, there are many unique stores. Fresh fish, meats, and baked goods are available for purchase. And if you are hungry, they have enough food stalls to qualify for a food court. However unlike your typical mall food court, these stalls are almost all unique mom-and-pop stores. Be warned, if you go during lunch break, the place is packed but you know that means the food is fresh!
I do love the CFM, though it's very busy, and their covid protocols are not as strict as they once were. Lots of people walking the wrong way down the marked aisles.
There is this Mediterranean food kiosk (Anatolia) that we visited and bought dinner from. All of the food we took home is impeccably delish! And we got our money's worth! Please try their chicken combo and lamb combo
Lots of amazing vendors with a great little food court full of delicious options for the vegan, vegetarian and the meat lovers too! I was told that some of the best seafood is available there as well. Bakeries, vegetable and fruits galore and there is also a little pet boutique for folks to grab treats and toys for your beloved fur kids. Analog Coffee is the first place to hit for a delicious latte and kickstart to the shopping experience.
This is one of my favourite places in Calgary. Everywhere you look, there is a nice stand with creative and fabulous products. The groceries are fresh and price fair. The coffee is absolutely delicious. It is a nice place to go for a pleasant moment with family and friends while enjoying a tasty meal. You can find different food stations to eat bagels, tacos, Thai food, coffee, pastries and more. 100% recommended
This is a great place for fresh fruit and vegetables. Your supporting local and small business so keep that in mind when your shopping. Plenty of other venders as well with wide variety of products some very unique gift ideas as well. Lots of parking around back and several ways to enter the market.
Love this Farmer's Market compared to other markets in Calgary. Good vibes, awesome vendors and they have events every holiday for the kids and family.
I debated on whether to give 3 or 4 stars. The restaurant stalls are great and there’s a good selection of cuisines. But the green grocers! Rip off! Went a few times during covid (yes still covid) and it was dead. So sad Calgarians didn’t support the merchants. Brighter days ahead I hope.
A dangerous place, for your wallet. Walking in here you'll be greeted by a ton of varying cuisines, everyone from your family will have something they'll be drawn towards.
Lots of various things fresh produce good bakery good macrons decent food court area the play area for kids has been shut down for covid good alcohol stores as well
I went here on a Sunday and the majority of the stalls were shutting down two hours before the market even closed. It’s overpriced and most of the staff of the stalls look like they’re miserable being there.
The Calgary Farmers’ Market that is home to more than 75 small businesses. This vibrant mall-like shop is easily accessible since it is just off of Blackfoot Trail and Heritage drive. This is an all-in-one-place to buy crafts, meals, organic fruits and vegetables, girts, and random quirks! Luckily, the staff and vendors are very friendly and offer great customer service to everyone. Some places in the food court I would recommend are Simon’s Simple Pies and Margarita’s dishes. The Calgary Farmers Market is a place for multiculturalism, with many different types of food, and is also a great way to support Calgarian farmers! Be sure to eat some delicious and mouth-watering food with your friends and family in the outdoor eating areas! Plan your visit at the Calgary Farmers’ Market and you won’t regret it!
I love stopping in here when I am in the area! It’s a great market and the quality of the produce at Blush Lane and The Cherry Pit is absolutely unreal! It’s also my favourite place in the city to shop for Christmas presents:)
So many wonderful vendors to choose from. Came home with a great haul of fresh veggies for canning. Great quality, price and an amazing way to support local. Will definetly be going back again this summer for more.
A little more sparse in product and lost a few businesses due to pandemic. Thanks to the owners for a response. My comment wasn't a big criticism. Yes the pie place is gone. Made us sad. Some shops had limited product which we can understand due to limited capacity. Still great but look forward to a full market with ability to use tables again!
Everything good except for the booth selling orange yolk eggs. They were infact store bought yellow yolk eggs, so we were ripped off, but you live and learn!
Absolutely horrific! I have a medical exemption from not only my doctors but my midwives as well as a specialist. They have a security now all of a sudden at the door and he called TWO managers on me because I told him that I cannot wear a face covering. They both then came over and told me they could not allow me in. Discrimination at its finest, if you have a medical exemption, don't expect them to care or treat you like a normal person. Disgusting. I've always shopped here without a mask and had no issues until today. I hope someone sues them and they shut down because that's a violation of human rights.
I love the farmers market - it's always so clean and very covid conscious. Kudos to the employee working at the door who respectfully handled a customer who disagreed with the buildings mask policy. The employee was incredibly professional, and kept his composure when the customer inappropriately misdirected his anger toward the employee just doing his job.
Who doesn't like a farmers market!? This place has a great selection of multicultural fresh fruit, vegetables and meat of any sort and in any shape you like. It has a good selection of prepared food kiosks and you can buy bee pollen, candles and other artsy stuff.
Great place! Henry & Debbies coffee is excellent. There are lots of dine-in food options with tables regularly sanitized (even prior to covid!) The grocery vendors are also excellent with top quality foods. Highly recommend this place!
I am sad to write this review. Always enjoyed this market before and like to support local businesses. Sadly I have to instead support Walmart and Safeway as they don’t discriminate against and don’t deny essentials to people with medical conditions. Do you guys realize that forcing someone to wear a mask who cannot do it is against the law regardless of company policy? Not only that but it goes against the Nuremberg Code which states that you cannot force someone to do anything to their bodies without informed consent. You keep this up and you’re going to find yourselves facing lawsuits and possibly Nuremberg trials. Smarten up. Where’s your humanity?
Love it! A local farmer market, most food are organic and very fresh. We usually go there 1 time 1 week, buy some fresh vegetables, fruits, liquor and some snacks. People are very friendly, you will enjoy a relaxing time here. Also, here need more calgarians' support~ come come come!
Super busy during this covid pandemic (market closer to the downtown one and not heritage one). Didn't feel safe because everyone cannot obviously follow the 6 metre distance rule inside a packed market. Outside fruits and veggies stores weren't as packed as inside though. Tasty popcorn, bagel and alberta beef jerky foods here. Disappointed that they only have BC produce. Ontario/Niagara area peaches are out of this world and should be sold in Alberta.
Absolutely adore going to the Calgary Farmers Market, always find it a bit too busy, but it is a good place. Absolutely love the sushi that I got there many times. This time not excluded.)
My favourite market in Calgary! Always amazing produce and the vendors are the friendliest I've ever dealt with. Luc's and the Cherry Pit are always a wonderful highlight!
We were inside the market for 2 minutes. We quickly left because there was an astounding number of people not weaning masks and also lots of workers not wearing masks. This is during the COVID peak in our city and clearly these businesses are not worried about keeping people safe as they do nothing to enforce these laws put in place.
This is a good place for fresh vegetables and meat. You also get Organic veggies. A little expensive but surely worth it. Very clean place. Good variety of food. The ice creams are good so also the coffee. We have got some dumplings not tasted them but my daughter says they are good. The Crepes are also good. There was a lot of snow from yesterday but inspite of that there was good crowd there.
The restaurants are all really good and seem like authentic versions of what they offer. The whole market has a good vibe and a lot of vendors with a lot of variety in regards to the fruits and vegetables.
I can shop there all day. A pleasant place to go to. So many vendors and so much to offer. Toast below I made with all I bought from there. Delicious and fresh ingredients.
Found this by accident when we were looking for another store and my wife said we should take a look. Lots of nice stalls and shopping areas. Lots of food and retail options. I would recommend going if you can.
This farmers market still a gem in our city! Lots of vendors and a good variety of food and cute little stores!
Although it can get pretty crowded -which makes sense as it’s one of the few FMs in yyc- you can still have a good time and enjoy a great variety of foods. There is food for all budgets but expect to pay a bit more.
For parents with toddlers I recommend arriving earlier as it can get busy and you don’t want kids getting lost and you running after them in a crowded place. They do have a cute play structure! But you I’ll need to supervise your little ones as they are older kids who might not place nicely to little ones. Always a good idea to arrive early morning or late afternoon. We got there around 2: 30 and it was a bit stressful with the kiddos but by 4pm it got less busy, in the play structure at least. Bring your stroller for sure:)
My fave stands here are the donut shop and the coffee shops and the fruit and veggies stands and the olive one. I guess I have a lots of favourites in here
This spot is great for poking around, searching for the freshest veggies, and having a bowlful of whatever will nourish you best! Soooo much to choose from. The only thing it's missing, is more handmade items vendors. Not sure if they add more to this market in the summertime, but I'll be excited to see what's in store!
Big shout out to the staff of the Calgary Farmers Market today my two-year-old son was missing for all of two minutes because of the staff jumping up to action right away. Appreciate staff and everybody that helped locate my son at the park.
Cannot thank you guys enough will be supporting Calgary Farmers Market forever
The Calgary Farmers Market is a wonderful experience for people all ages. It allows for parents to drop off their kids while they get to have a hands on shopping experience. The food served is always high quality. The farmers market is a wonderful market and I would recommend to anyone interest in high quality food.
Not much to look at from the outside, but inside is full of local sellers' booths. Great food, friendly people. A gem I visit every 1 to 2 weeks for routine buys. Visit the vegan booth for free samples! You won't be disappointed - meat-eaters and vegans alike. Produce booths are fresh with variety and local honey is so tasty. Take your knives to the knife booth for sharpening!
Fresh Foods, Great play structure for little ones. Delicious food selection in the food court and market. Good amount of parking in front and rear. And all the vendors are super friendly.
Very nice layout, many unique stalls, helpful staff and interesting buskers. However, I was a bit disappointed in the selection of produce and the quantities of plastic packaging being used. It was impossible to buy spinach with out a plastic bag around it
Great farmers market with a small food court. The food court is great for lunches and take outs. There is a bunch of small stalls for fresh meats and produces.
One of my favorite places to get local veggies, meats, desserts and juices. Awesome selection of stuff at great prices, busy environment yet they still manage to be accommodating to families.
Some of the vendors are great, plenty of new ones, but I'm very sick of seeing produce that isn't grown in Canada in here year round, and though I can forgive it in off seasons, I reallyhate it in summer. It's hardly a farmer's market at this point. However, you can get great meats, spices, tea, and pastries here every time and it's worth the trip for that.
The produce here is amazing. There's many vendors to shop with. I've eaten at quite of the few food stands here and they've all been top notch. The best part about it is that it's indoors so it's open year round. There's nothing like being able to get fresh, local produce year round. I'd also like to say that while it is usually busy, it has never felt like it had been "too busy". Great place!
Hipster market. Most things here are over priced. Organic veggies for sale that look like a commercial (organic vegetables don't usually look like that) the butcher shops are ok, but over crowded and get the feeling people shop here more for a status symbol than actually the food, I prefer crossroads market.
You'll find fantastic meat, produce and break here, along with many artisan products from a variety of somewhat local merchants, but expect prices higher than your average grocery.
Great variety of shops and local producers. Good organic representation. Some unique fast food places. Great fresh seafood shop, a little pricey but good value and variety, really well presented and fresh selection.
This is my favourite Farmers Market in Calgary! A good location and lots of variety of food and drinks. Service at vendors are very quick and friendly. Definitely check this place out if you’re visiting!
A friend of mine recommended I try the poutine at the flavours of Quebec. I was not disappointed. They have very good cheese, they also have the right amount of sauce and the fries were very tasty. The prices were decent for the amount of food that you get. They have several other dishes there that look amazing. Starting this weekend I'm going to have to make several trips to try all these wonderful dishes.
Good place to go and find local produce and an array of eateries for a plethora of diets. Well worth going whether living in Calgary or just a visitor.
