Up until the fall season it's a great time. Rarely busy up til then. Sad about their corn maze. But still annual path worthy.
16 October 2023 10:11
The Calgary Farmyard was great, lots of rides and games for the kids to do.
There is a giant corn maze at the back of the park!
Also there was a petting zoo along with food and drinks
07 October 2023 11:06
Nice place to bring kids over specially during Fall, when the weather is just about right. Got some rides that kids and even adults will enjoy
25 September 2023 19:49
The corn is super short this year due to a hilstorm, but it's still a fun place to go for the day, especially if you have kids. (I do not, I am just a big kid.)
25 September 2023 0:36
This place blew my expectations. Next year we will get a season pass for the family as I can see we will be coming a lot. Stayed 3 hours and didn’t get to see it all. Great place for kids and toddlers.
24 September 2023 11:10
Really fun place, lots to do!

It would be nice to see more signage and staff presence around the games and animals.
17 September 2023 10:19
It's really disappointing that you can't enjoy a family night out anywhere without dropping $200. We always have a great time at Calgary Farmyard, but this year we left feeling like we spent an unnecessary fortune, and it put a damper on things. It made the experience less enjoyable for Mom and Dad when all we could think about was how our very basic concession dinner cost us $89.00. Yes, $89.00. Two chicken finger meals, two burgers-one with fries, one with the loaded waffle fries, and 4 bottles of pop. $89.00. I thought it was an error with the machine and had my husband make sure he asked for a receipt. After spending $100 to get in (buy online and save a whole 6 dollars because they charge an almost $8 processing fee) we just felt completely taken advantage of. After grabbing a hot chocolate reach and mini donuts on the way out, a couple hours cost us over $200. Will we visit again next year? Yes, because our kids are young and they had lots of fun.but it would be really nice if the owners made things a bit more affordable for families. Especially with how expensive everything else is right now. Maybe think about bringing in a packed lunch to help save some money.
03 September 2023 11:24
In my 2 weeks visit to Calgary. Of all the places I went to, this was the most fun. Loads of kids activities, less queues, food was very good, ice cream was dope, toilet was bad though but not a bid deal. Will definitely go back.
19 August 2023 11:14
The bouncy castle was good except when we went there was a thunderstorm that produced a tornado. But back to the farmyard. When we fed the goats, they were so excited that they jumped on me to get the food. When you order a visit to the Calgary farmyard online, they give you a discount.
05 January 2022 8:21
We visited Calgary Farmyard around Thanksgiving. There is plenty to do for everyone. Nicely arranged pumpkin spot for pictures lovers, games, little train, animal petting and of course corn maze. Snacks for purchase also available.
04 January 2022 1:33
Pretty good experience other than the mini putt area is a joke, they should replace it with something else - given that mini putts do need a lot of tending to. The tractor ride was fun but short, too bad it can't somehow do a loop in the big corn maze.

Also, get some good coffee at your food kiosk and advertise it. No one could say if the coffee was good.they said it was just old drip coffee.
30 December 2021 3:08
A great place for a day out with the family. Mostly geared towards the under-10 set
But teens can have fun too! (Just set them loose in the maze, and tell them they can't come back until they find all the check points)
27 December 2021 21:50
Expensive entry! But worth it! A few games require purchased tokens but there are so many games included in the entry. My 5 & 7 yr olds can spend all day here! Wear shoes that can get a little dirty!
22 December 2021 9:34
My kids love the Calgary farmyard. Alot things to do and it's outdoors. There's farm animals, miniature golf, bouncy area, super slides, parks and many more. We're so glad we got annual passes. It's so worth it for us.
20 December 2021 9:42
It was okay, the corn maze was mostly dead and not very tall, but thats probably because we went in October. Some neat things to see and do, but didn't entirely feel like it was worth the price as there is no family rate. The grounds were extremely dusty and you could just see a dust cloud above the parking lot the entire time we were there.
18 December 2021 20:00
It was a blast. Almost everything included with the cost of entry. The kids had a great time and so did the adults. It's still a farm. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes.
04 December 2021 16:03
Its such a wonderful time! We love going when its dark because the kids love exploring with flashlights! So much fun
04 December 2021 15:21
No control over how many people they are admitting in a given time slot even though they brag over the phone and website. Each and every activity is crowded and huge potential of contracting Covid! Not sure how AHS is allowing this!
25 November 2021 9:08
What a great place for the whole family. We've been here 10 times and still haven't seen everything!
24 November 2021 22:49
First time here and it was a joy for my son. He loves machines and his highlight was climbing in and around the tractors and old machinery. Will return.
23 November 2021 14:42
Extremely busy, but fun for what it is. Bring kids to spend all day or go with friends for an afternoon
22 November 2021 1:18
Great location to bring your kids, even in late fall. Our 3 year old loved all the tractors he could sit on and the slides were a big hit.
21 November 2021 8:57
Great activities for little ones and an overall day well spent. The slides, playgrounds, trampoline and corn maze were good fun. Plenty of benches around for stopping for a short break. Staff are friendly. Only thing that was just ok was their food at their canteen, but didn't put a damper on our day. Will be back again!
21 November 2021 3:17
Fun place! Great attractions and a nice cheap date, also fun for kids!

Only flaw is the lack of staff. A lot of the attractions there don't have active staff on them, its not a huge deal as people are usually pretty controlled and most attractions you can manage yourself. The zip line is the only downfall we experienced as only one zip line was unlocked/available, the rest were all locked from people pushing them too hard to the return spot.

Other than that, it was great! We went during the evening and the lights were cool to see! The corn maze was nice and spooky!
14 November 2021 14:14
Overall, lots to do and fun. Some areas need to be better lit and the map isn't very clear though. We searched for a bathroom for a very long time. Overall cute farm with many activities and games.
12 November 2021 21:53
Interesting place and lots of activities to participate in. Seems like a great place to let kids go nuts, but also a lot for the adults to do as well. We were a group of adults and we had fun. They could use more lighting at night as once the sun goes down, a number of the activities aren’t possible without holding a flashlight as well. We went this past Saturday for the Harvest Lights and the corn maze was sad and mostly dead, so that wasn’t a highlight, and we didn’t spend much time out there.
12 November 2021 5:34
It was fun but staff working around the yard did not seem very friendly, Ticket booth they were very pleasant.
08 October 2021 8:34
The place is really amazing, we like it so much. We had bad luck that the express train broke down. I got my debit card blocked as their system payment was different from what I been using lately, but because of that reason the staff did not charge for me the water I was going to buy. Thanks for that! The reason I am giving 3 because the bathroom were completely dirty and having a mobile bathroom its very uncomfortable to bring a kid.
Overall is great place!
25 September 2021 8:16
Good if you are coming with small children. It is very relaxing. Farm has done some good work for creating multiple activities.
23 September 2021 2:15
Great experience for the day with the kids. There are two corn mazes, one small, the other is really large. Lots of animals to feed and pet. You can buy a bag of grass/hay for $3. Lots of slides, a zip line, shooting gallery, and a bouncy area. Also, climbing structure/park shaped like a train in the middle. There is food served there.
22 September 2021 14:37
Such a nice place with lots to do! Great place to bring kids. Lots of animals to see and interact with, a cute train that runs every so many hours that you can take the kids on, and the giant inflatable bouncy was a big hit! There are many games and different play areas too. Plan to be there for a few hours to enjoy everything.
We didn't do the large maze as it's not recommended for families with very young kids but looked like it would be fun!
17 September 2021 5:32
Very nice place for kids and families. Lots of fun activities to do with your little ones.
Animals are very easy to pet and friendly
17 September 2021 1:51
Awesome little place! Lots to do with small children. Great price for such a fun place. They had lots of animals, and a baby goat petting corral. Tons of activities. Good food. A tractor and a miniature train you can ride!
15 September 2021 1:52
What a great place to spend family time, especially for the kids to be able to interact with the animals. Lots to do, our grandkids really had fun! The whole area is clean and well managed. The staff are all about great service and being helpful! I
13 September 2021 20:40
I have been there once and my son loved it to feed animals. On this visit when we reach there their system was down and my phone network was not working too as well to buy my ticket online and had not a cash, so we returned from entrance.
10 September 2021 6:37
Calgary Farmyard is awesome place not just for kids but also for adults. It's not far from city. Its maze farm area is real fun and have good numbers of farm domestic animals. Cool place to visit and feel the farm life for 4 to 5 hours.
07 September 2021 6:30
An amazing outdoor space that provides entertainment through the beauty of nature and built in games. Many photo opportunity spots and well priced entry fees for the amount of time being able to spend in the space that is local, a short drive from the city's center.
01 September 2021 4:58
Charged my wife $5 more for paying in person compared to the website. She complained. They said they would update the website. Really poor customer service.no refund offered to match the website price.

No price listed on the gate for admission.

She likes it otherwise, but buyer beware.

UPDATE: Owner got in touch with us and was great to work with. Issue is fixed.
19 August 2021 7:35
We love this place. It's always improving every season and our kids are always excited to go here.
16 August 2021 23:47
Worth every penny.make sure you bring enough water and comfortable clothes.we had an amazing day! Kids fell asleep on the way home (played all day). Definetly coming back!
29 July 2021 7:13
Such amazing place for kids and family we loved spending the day there. There is so much to do the petting farm and jumping pillows were the best. And a lots of playgrounds for the kids, to play in. I would highly recommend this place to spend the day and have a great picnic. We will be back for the corn maze!
18 July 2021 13:25
Nice open area to have fun with kids. Train ride was good. Petting animals was great experience. Higly recommend visiting this place.
17 July 2021 16:28
Amazing animals, great layout everything to inspire and exhaust the most persistent and resistant little (and big) ones. Safe. My girls slept all the way home. 10/10 will be back lots. Reminds me of the farm I grew up on.
15 July 2021 22:29
Great experience. My 1.5 y/o loved the bouncy grounds. Definitely a place where kids can have tons of fun and interactive with farm animals.
Seem like it has tons of potential for future improvements.
13 July 2021 11:36
Great experience, kids get up and close with all sorts of farm animals train ride, slides, games food we had a fun day.
02 July 2021 9:59
Great place for a family outing but no where to get water. Being your bottles or it's $2.50 per bottle. On hot days you will need water to be out here. There is no shade.
26 March 2020 15:32
다운타운에서 조금 멀긴 하지만 한 번 가볼만 해요~ 온라인으로 티켓 사시면 조금 더 저렴합니당~
Far from Downtown Calgary but it’s really worth it. Good place to have a family picnic. FYI, online ticket is cheaper
26 December 2019 2:04
Love the animals here. It was a wonderful time with all the pumpkins and fall colors. If you have children, it's perfect, there is lots to do with children. I found it somewhat pricey tho to pay to get admission then to buy tickets to play games or feed the animals was quite a bit. Altho you dont have to buy any food to feed if you choose not to, can still pet them which is fun in itself!
25 December 2019 16:36
Tons of things for kids to do! It is well worth the money. They go out of their way to make sure people are comfortable by providing tents to warm up in and areas to eat your own food. You can definitely spend the better part of a day here.
23 December 2019 2:09
It was very expensive! Certain activities were cancelled, other activities only opened at certain times of the day! Activities should be available the whole day, especially because of how much everything costs!
18 December 2019 20:09
Lovely country Fair vibes. The night time corn maze was a blast even though the stalks were shorter than usual because of a bad hail storm.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and look forward to coming back next year to do the corn maze again:)
16 December 2019 16:57
Such a big and fun farm to visit. There's lots to see and do. I would only wish they had more staff, because some of the attractions were scheduled to begin at a certain time (according to their own signs) like the mini train ride, but there was nobody around. After a few minutes staff showed up.
Apart from that, everything else was great, staff were very friendly and the place is a lot of fun!
15 December 2019 23:48
So many things to do there! You can easily spend the whole day. Love the bouncing area.the scarecrow/guess who game, brilliant idea! Of course the corn maze is fun. I do enjoy seeing the history of the farm show up here and there.the corn height post especially! I look forward to going again next season too!
10 December 2019 1:42
First time here and loved it! So much cool stuff to do in enough space that even though there's so many families and kids, it's not overwhelming. For a mom of 2, It's exhausting but not overwhelming! Love that they have a options for one time entry or multiple entry throughout the month!
06 December 2019 13:22
Hadn't been there for 2 years and there were a lot of new activities added. The Ownership seems to be working hard to add to and grow the place. It is nice and compact, there isn't too much of a walk between activities (unlike Heritage Park or Granary Road). A bit rustic, but plenty there to keep kids engaged and entertained outside for a few hours.
30 November 2019 12:38
While the facility is fantastic and my kids had a great time.management ruined it for my kids by trying ro nickel and dime them for their mining activity. I understand that the sponsor did not include it in our admission. It was still not clearly stated and absolutely wrecked the experience for my kids (we left right after)
28 November 2019 20:24
Overall very fun place to go. Great activities for toddlers and adults. The only downside was lack of staffs. I had a question about the wagon ride schedule, and there was no one to ask.
18 November 2019 22:50
Place is still great. Additions are alright. You can definitely start to see the wear and tear happening all over the park. But prices are way to high now. $63.00 for a family of 3. And $10 per pumpkin. Getting a little ridiculous. We used to come ALOT. Wont be coming nearly as often anymore
17 November 2019 21:40
I go to Butterfield Acres a lot during their summer season and thought this may be similar, but it really wasn't. There were many unsupervised children here. Saw them taunting, chasing, and generally just harassing the animals, as well as parents who would let themselves into Staff Only areas. Didn't see any staff present besides at the admissions, so this may be why it felt so chaotic.
The llamas looked so bored and sad in their area, which seemed to lack anything for their enrichment and was just a pen with mud on the ground and not much else.
Got a veggie burger from the snack shack, which was nice to have a veggie option. Although it was the only option available. Was literally a veggie patty on a bare bun. Put some mustard on it, but guess I expected something more for the price.
The corn maze was very muddy, which I guess is to be expected. The corn didn't grow very tall this year, I guess, because I could see over the entire thing. Was a but underwhelming.
If there could be better care for the animals, like maybe enclosures that offered them a space to get away if they'd like to, or just more supervision so that they aren't just constantly living in stress, that would be a great improvement.
This is definitely no Butterfield Acres.
I am unlikely to go back.

In response to the owner's reply regarding the date, I was there on October 5th, before any snow. I remember because it was my birthday and thought it would be a fun way to spend a little time that day.
I don't know, I guess I just wish that the animals could have a less stressful life without kids throwing stuff at them and being chased or, in the case of the llamas, just standing around looking at the wall because there is nothing stimulating in their area.
Whatever, this won't change anything, I'm sure, but it was too sad and upsetting for me to return myself.
Be your own judge.
17 November 2019 20:40
Was a nice fall experience, we came for the "Pumpkin Patch" event. The farm is definitely catered more towards families with younger children as there are many activities for kids here and that seemed to be the largest demographic here.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed just being outside, walking around, taking nice pictures too.

And if you do decide to go for the corn maze, come earlier in the fall. When we went (Oct 19) they had already harvested (?) the corn, and it was more a field of dead/dry cornstalks.
13 November 2019 15:55
Really an excellent family event and venue. Lots of full on analogue activities. Great venue and there is lots of space and tables to eat (your own food is allowed!) Atmosphere is like an old country fair. You can buy all kinds of food there too. Buy tickets online ahead of time and save a couple bucks. When you scan your tickets in at the entrance be sure to buy some tokens to go to the paintball shooting range or go hunting for gems. Worth every penny.
11 November 2019 4:29
Price was extremely expensive. 53$ for me and my 2 kids for what? To see maybe 3 animals. Go into a corn Maze. Jump on a bouncy pad and go down a slide. And walk thru a delapitated sun flower Maze? I think that's what it was. I could have went to the public park for free and did the same amount of stuff. They have 2 food booths there and I didnt even want to look at the prices of the food cuz it's probably thru the roof like their admission. Tried it and definitely won't be back. Prices are rediculous.
23 October 2019 21:13
One of the best values in Calgary, especially the season pass. So much to do for all ages, always has enough parking and every year more and more is added.
21 October 2019 2:56
The Calgary Corn Maze is a really great value for a family day of fun. There is so much to do beyond just a corn maze. We actually didn't get to everything there. We did get lost in the maze! There were fun things for all ages. We will go back and give ourselves more time. We were only there for 3 hours and it was not enough time. Give yourself the whole day.
09 October 2019 11:56
I wish I knew about this place earlier! So many fun things to do. Food is very well priced. If your an adult in a kids body, you will not regret it! Lovely people that work there. Super clean! Would recommend to everyone!
27 December 2018 5:51
Great family activities. Not just a maze, so many activities to partispate and enjoy at your pace. Large crowd when we attended but line up and options very well managed. Highly recommended for everyone. Bring your camera for great photo ops.
Washrooms sinks change stations etc well thought out with families in mind. Bring lots of snacks and water from home to keep cost down. You will work up an appetite walking around in the fresh air. Hats and sunscreen. Strollers or wagons.
Nice to see families of all ages and backgrounds, couples on dates, seniors etc. Having fun outdoors.
15 December 2018 9:44
Surprisingly fun. Don’t let the name fool you, there’s more than just a maze. Petting zoo, concession, some slides, and a (small) train. But my favourite is the bouncing/jumping pillows. Great for dates, family fun, and group gatherings. Dress for the weather as there is little reprieve if it turns. I’m curious as to what they do with all that corn. Is it a viable corn farm or is it just farm facade and it all goes to compost or something.
21 November 2018 10:56
Great for kids! It was about $60 for my husband, myself, our daughter and two tokens to buy feed for the animals.
We are new to Calgary and decide that since it's Thanksgiving weekend what better way to spend it then a corn maze and picking pumpkins. We were a bit disappointed, even though we dressed appropriately with boots, hat and mitts the corn maze was just too muddy to even navigate through. We were slipping and sliding and almost fell a few times. Our 5 year old daughter who was so looking forward to this adventure asked us to leave the maze.
Bring food and snacks, even though they have concessions, the price of the food is ridiclous.
There are so many things for kids to do though from petting goats, sheep, bunnies and turkeys, pony rides, to zip lining. Our daughter had fun thats for sure so it was worth the $60. Nothing really for the adults to do though besides chase the kids around.
Would of definitely liked to see more of a tractor ride as it was only 5 minutes long.
We would definitely go back but probably not during our Thanksgiving weekend anymore. The pumpkin picking was just a bunch of pumpkins already picked and placed in one area.
Your kids will never be bored, there is so much stuff for them to do.
17 October 2018 22:31
It was our fourth year visiting! As per the norm: dress in layers, dress warm, bring snacks and drinks (there's a concession but $$$). Expect port-a-potties with (cold) running water wash stands (bring baby wipes). There's lots of mud (expect and plan) but the entire farm is so much fun. There's almost an unending supply of activities for kids. Lots of places to sit and rest. A great way to spend the day with the family! Worth the drive and the entrance fee.
08 October 2018 4:07
Great experience! Good value, quality food, exceptionally clean, and amazing customer service. This is truly a family friendly venue that is SO much more than a maze.: : playgrounds, paintball targets, massive jumping pillow, small animals, zip line, etc. You can tell the staff work hard and care.
29 September 2018 13:31
Great place to take the grandchildren. There were activities for all ages. We really enjoyed the slides, train ride, inflated bouncing areas, throwing balls and playground activities. We packed a picnic lunch and there were shaded areas to eat in. Overall a great day was had by all.
