Calgary Float Spa PureRest Float & Wellness

Was not impressed, over all for a place calling itself a spa, it was missing alot of polish. Went here for a 1 hour float in their sensory deprivation chamber. Reception was friendly, signed all the necessary forms. But everything went down hill as soon as I entered the float room. The room was very small just barely big enough to fit the float tank. With just one broken bar stool to pile your clothes on before you got in. There was white paint splattered on the floor and trim/ blue paint splattered on the wall from whoever was in a rush to paint the door and walls while finishing building this place. When the receptionist opened the float tank to show me how the controls worked, it smelled very unpleasant like mold. The tank did not look clean, there were dark brown spots on the bottom of the tank and scum all around the seal of the lid. Metal fittings in the tank were rusting. After getting into float the water was way to warm almost like a hot tub. This led me to sweating in the tank and have a rapid heart beat while trying to meditate. The button for the music was broken so I could not adjust it to my liking. There was also construction going on in the adjacent building which lead to some large bangs which jolted me out of my meditation. Trash can in the room was also overflowing with people's used earplugs. I don't think I will be returning again.

PureRest is a wonderful place for self-care! The staff are friendly, helpful, and calm. The location is super convenient with a large parking lot, allowing stress free arrival and departure. Floating is a fantastic, mindful, relaxing experience. I highly recommend it! I love both the open pool and the pod. Finishing off with a spa shower is so lovely. Take advantage of the 6-pack of floats - it's a great deal!

My daughter and I came in today for the first ever float for either of us and it was the most amazing experience!
It was a very spontaneous girl’s day and the owner was so helpful with our questions and was able to accommodate us a few hours later.
The facility is spotless and welcoming from the moment you step in (the whole place smells heavenly)!
The owner showed us the different rooms and was so helpful with suggestions on how to have the most relaxing experience.
Every detail is thought of, from the quality products available for use before and after the float, to hair tools, lotion and tea before you’re on your way.

My daughter is a competitive athlete with a laundry list of aches and pains, and she loved how it made her body feel.
I, always fatigued, had the most restful 60 mins I’ve ever experienced in a treatment. I am hooked and immediately texted some friends about it from the parking lot! My daughter and are already planning for our next visit!

Overall, it was a great experience. Staff were friendly. Loved the message and tea that was waiting for me once I completed my float. Sometimes, it's the small things that make the big differences.

This was the first facial I've ever had. The esthetician was beyond wonderful! She was friendly, experienced and very knowledgeable. I felt fantastic after my anti aging facial! My daughter did the float. It was everything she hoped for. Relaxing, stress relieving and a great experience. The whole facility was clean and inviting. We will definitely be going back!

Very enjoyable first visit. Very clean and relaxing. Reasonable prices and very friendly and polite staff. Water temperature and overall temperature was perfect. Will be going back again!

The guy working really helped put me at ease I was rushing because I was late and he assured me many times I didn’t have to rush. Helped me actually relax! Great customer service will be back! Super well set up too everything you could need right down to fresh water in the pod itself to mist your face!

Such a relaxing experience later on a Saturday night. Staff was great too. Room temp and water temp was perfect.

The facility was relaxing and clean, and the actual float experience was better than I expected. Relaxing isn't even the right word, for the first time in my life my body and mind had ZERO tension. It's hard to describe, far more relaxing than a massage, and at one point there was only my breath and heartbeat. This is something I'll make a regular part of my regeneration routine.
