I have used Calgary heavy trucks multiple times they are the best dealing with clients. When it’s come to saving time and money. Very reasonable and professional commercial vehicle service shop. Highly recommended 5 star on my books. Keep up the good work.

Sent out truck here to get the power steering fixed on our Dodge. They misdiagnosed (or rather FAILED to diagnose) the issue and charged us 2.5k to replace unnecessary parts. At pick up he lady at the front desk handed me the keys to the wrong truck, and couldn't even print of a copy of my invoice either. We had to take the truck back in worse shape than we left it, and take it to the Dodge dealership for repairs. They couldn't even get the "free" alignment right. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP for repairs. Don't waste your money or time here. Fixing trucks is expensive spend your money on a dealership or repair shop that will actually take the time to properly diagnose the issue and skillfully fix it. I would advise the owners to take a good look at their staff and hire more skilled mechanics/techs. Your business will fail if you don't care/pay attention to the work your employees deliver to their customers.

I called these guys at 7am. They had my truck in the shop right away. The front desk called and let me know what the faults were and the best plan of action with a time line for the end of the day. I added an engine service and transmission service in as well. Truck was completed as promised all repairs completed. This is a darn good honest shop. The techs and the front desk staff were all top notch and all had an answer to any questions I asked throughout the day. Great place. Great staff

Service is great to deal with, very reasonable. They want to work with you to get your truck back on the road. They also offer a wide variety of service work from crane work to cvip inspections. Awesome service staff.

ZERO STARS - RV WARNING-Do not take your RV here for repairs. My fifth wheel trailer needed some frame work so I took it here for repairs. It took over 2 weeks to get a repair estimate and they quoted me 50 hours to repair it over, $7k. After some back and forth with Brian he said they can take 5 hours off. I said I do not want to go ahead with the repairs and picked up the RV, they charged me $300 for the frame measurement. They were unable to provide me a copy of the frame measurements and was told Brian would email them to me. I have emailed Brian about 4 times and also the main email address and no response. I ended up taking my RV to Big Rig Collision they charged me $2,600 for the repairs which included measuring the frame. I am only writing this review so other RV owners don't get screwed by these guys. I was lucky I did not get the repairs done here.

We would never use this shop again, we paid good money to have the roll up door repaired as well as a couple of the panels, when we got it back one of the tension cables was frayed almost to the point of snapping and it looked like a 5 year old painted it. We called and were told they would not come and look at our truck, very poor customer service

Horrible people to deal with.they took my money and never gave me the services that i needed for the damage truck they sold me! I had to walk away with a broken truck that i had to fix out of my own pocket and i met a few people that went thru the same thing.they do this too often! Please do not waste you money!

Had a semi of mines hood repaired here. The quality of work wasn't the greatest but it was fast.

Sales and financing staff were great to work with. They fixed all the little details I asked them to and had both truck and paperwork ready on time with zero hassle.

Great Service overall. Barb and Tom one of the best people to deal with in Trucking Industry. They rebuilt engine on my Peterbilt and I had no issues ever, I put 100k so far no leaks and issues. I got the best estimate out there and they fixed my truck before estimated time. Also great deals on parts. Go see them you will not regret they work and service!

Excellent service and they got me in a truck within days within my budget. It been a rocky road with contracts for the truck and Tom has been understanding and works with me to keep me in my truck. Easy to deal with. And I have bad credit. Pleased with the truck tho I am a realist. It was a second hand truck and I didn’t expect a Cadillac, new off the lot, for cheap, like most ppl. Needed a few tweaks, but what commercial vehicle doesn’t. Haven’t dealt with service much, but Tom has offered to help with repairs too. I have nothing but good to say about them, and I verbally recommend them all the time. If you want to make your dream of being an O/O come true on a budget with little start up money these are the ppl to go see!

Got a call from Tom to come get a free CVIP. I was excited thought I was catching a break! Brought it in.about a week and a half later I finally got the estimate. HOLY S@#%! I lost sleep thinking about this ridiculous estimate to get a CVIP. Needless to say I brought my truck somewhere else and got it done for an 1/8 of the price I got from Heavy Truck and Collision. My advice stay CLEAR of this shop!

Scam artists. Had a safety done there (obviously by apprentice). They failed some things such as interior lights but missed relevant items such as a wheel seal and exhaust leaks. Picked up truck and had work done elsewhere and saved 50% of their quote. When I brought truck back for re-inspect I asked them to diagnose ABS problem. (ABS light had been coming on for some time)
Diagnosis came up right rear speed sensor. Barbara said OK if I supplied the sensor (saved 50.00). When I picked truck up she said if light still comes on to change the tone ring. The light came on like clockwork. Took truck to other shop to change tone ring and discovered speed sensor had'nt been changed. Their bill was over 700.00. Talked to the owner (Hart) and he said he would look into this but soon quit answering my calls. Dont trust these crooks. I will report these lowlifes to BBB and am going to file suit against them.

Where do I start. I'm writing this as a employee review. If you're thinking of working here, please read first.

If you enjoy being belittled then this is the place for you. The Brothers (Hart & Tom) that run this company seem like decent guys in the beginning. Just wait a few weeks. It's a complete 360. Hart is the worst Boss I've ever had. I've honestly never been so disrespected by an employer before. The guy is so spoiled, self entitled, and unhappy; this emotion is passed onto his Staff daily. He's a yeller.

Tom is a decent guy to work with, but he will never take ownership of his mistakes, and will have no problem pushing the accountability onto the staff (ie- YOU). Here's what happens next: Hart will bring you into his office, or yell at you openly on the floor, talking down to you for half hour - hour, while Tom sits there knowing full well you're taking a lashing for his mistake.

Employees are always getting yelled at, quitting, walking out on the job, or fired. Theyre constantly hiring, and it's not due to growth. Trust me, I've never had a job for less than 6 years, and I lasted 4 months here.

They hire you for your professional expertise, but don't you dare try to be an individual, or think for yourself. Their micromanaging is outstanding. Be aware. It's a thankless job (no matter the position you take here), and if you enjoy being a mindless robot who has no emotion, this may be perfect for you. If they see you're a good worker, they'll push you into handling 4-5 other work loads on top of what you were hired for. Why? Because they can't keep people. Will they help you with this work load? No. Will they yell at you if you can't handle it all? Absolutely

The product: if you're wanting to push quality productwork, this is not the place for you. Read the other employee reviews on here. They're all very truthful. Read the reviews regarding repair work, or broken trucks sold. Full out damage control in the shop and office at all times. Dealing with Clients that were sold bad product was the worst.

When I put in my notice, I gave them the courtesy of 2 weeks. I came back in the next day and Hart came in my office and said "today is your last day, we are done". As I was cleaning out my emails, forwarding open issues onto other departmentsmanagers so they were able to follow up upon my departure, Hart came back in and told me to "get out". Then proceeded to stand in my office as I quickly gathered my items and left.

Needless to say, I was incredibly grateful when I got my offer letter from my new employer and was able to put in my notice with Calgary Heavy Truck. I could go on and on. But my advice is not to waste your time, unless you're desperate and need a stepping stone while you look for better employment.

Hart & Tom, treat your employees better. You might have gone to business school, but that does not teach you humility, or people management. You need to remember that these employees are your business, you are not your business without them. You cannot do this without having a positive rapport with your staff. The more appreciated a person feels, the harder they want to work WITH YOU to be successful. You have a lot to learn. If you don't want to do that much, at least step out of the business, and have it professionally managed for you. That may be best.

Getting heavy equipment repaired in a timely manner is difficult in Calgary. Every shop has priorities and unless you're a big company you aren't one of them.

Had my truck in and out in a couple days and it was back to work in less time than we expected. We're impressed and will be sending more of our work their way going forward.
