Calgary Honda Southeast Calgary Dealership

On January 4th, 2024, my 2021 Honda Pilot was serviced to fix the steering wheel heating. On the way back, from the Calgary Honda Service Center, I noticed, the Auto Engine Idle stop feature was not working.

I brought in the vehicle to get that checked on Jan 17th, 2024. I was informed the feature stopped working as battery charge was low. I was also informed that, on Jan 4th, car would have been on idle during servicing and hence the battery charge would have dropped and because of the weather it never charged back to 100%.

It was confirmed, battery health is good and is able to charge to 100% without any issues.

So, essentially I was charged about $200 on Jan 17th, to charge the battery, which was drained to low levels during the service on Jan 4th.

I brought in my brand new Honda Civic for its first service and bought a detail for it as well!

I was in the service area helped out by Nigel and he was super nice and the process was super smooth and seamless. The car came out of the detail looking like it was brand new!

Took my car here for service on Tuesday to get my A/C and an oil leak fixed… spent $700, got home, and my car won’t start ever since. It’s upsetting spending that much money and being left with a whole new problem that you’re stuck trying to troubleshoot yourself. Going on day three of having no vehicle. Thanks Honda.

On the plus side, the service advisor Liz is great! Five stars for Liz!

Was looking at a few SUVs around town until I was sold at Dilawri Honda. Their associate Daman was very honest, and I can tell he was eager to help me out from day one. I also liked the atmosphere of this dealership. Other dealerships pressed me for my personal info just for walking around the lot, which is kind of stressful.

How are there no reviews about Liz on here? She is the BEST. I usually hate dealing with car maintenance because it’s such a pain — HOWEVER, Liz is anwesome and makes it super easy. She communicates clearly, she’s friendly, she’s quick to reply, she texts me instead of calling me, she solves problems quickly and she doesn't try to sell me on things. When you’re a busy person it’s amazing when you find a service provider that doesn’t make life harder, you know? Liz is rad and I can’t speak highly enough of the Honda service department entirely because of her.

Picked up my 2022 HR-V today and my experience at Calgary Honda was excellent from start to finish. Daman did a phenomenal job getting me into the right vehicle and Stephanie and Alex were great supports on the finance side of the deal. I would definitely recommend them if you're planning on purchasing new or used in the future.

Terrible customer service. I Walked into the service department. There were at least six people working behind desks. There were two that were already on the phone, but there was four that were just looking at their computers. Not one person looked up or acknowledged me when I walked in. I stood there for another five minutes still no one acknowledged me. I turned around and walked right back out. I will never go to that Honda dealership again for anything.

Out of all the dealership we’ve been to here in Calgary. By far Calgary Honda is the best. All the staffs are friendly specially my agent Taryn and the financial manager Darrian. Thank you so much guys.

Trevor was able to book me in quickly for an appointment for some service work and a wheel alignment. He had the shuttle waiting for me already and the service was completed ahead of time and even at a lower price than I expected. Awesome place to come for service on your Honda.

I recently took delivery of my new CR-V at Calgary Honda, and could not be more happy with my purchase and my car buying experience. John Assef helped me with my purchase from start to finish in a friendly, knowledgeable, and unrushed manner. Buying a car with John was actually an enjoyable fun experience. I can say this, because I have bought many vehicles thru the years, and that is not always the experience I've had.

This time we got excellent service, our questions were answered. A few months ago we made a purchase, they were very kind, among other things, they promised us small gifts for the purchase that they never did it.

Service is ok, but you get a lot of email spam and marketing calls after coming here for an oil change

2021 UPDATE!

Calgary Honda still rules. I love the Honda Civic I leased back in 2019, but as my kids are now full on teenagers, it was time to get more space Also they don’t plow my streets in the winter in my new neighborhood, so it was also time to get more ground clearance, lol.

Like many people, I find compact SUVs the most practical of all cars. When the great but not perfect used car I was hemming and hawing on (I’m a nervous buyer) suddenly got sold as I was driving back to the dealership to do the deal, Calgary Honda was ready and found me a truly PERFECT car that was still in my budget. I had no hesitations.

The whole team was amazing - thanks Jamey, Katey, Tim, and Matt, who really worked together and held my hand through the whole process, with no pressure. I LOVE my new Honda Certified pre-loved CRV, and have already booked a trip to Jasper with my kids - winter tires on rims and AWD - I’m ready for winter. Bring it!

I had a few hiccups replacing my old car and Dave Anderson at Calgary Honda went above and way beyond to make sure I was a happy customer, and got me exactly what I needed: peace of mind. He and Katie (and Jeff) treated me like gold. Generally anxious and suspicious around salespeople, I felt they heard and respected my concerns, answered all my questions, and never pressured me into something I didn't want. I have purchased 3 new CRVs from Honda since 2006. These cars are truly excellent, reliable and great to drive. I have had all my service work done by Calgary Honda who have been outstanding to deal with for over 15 years. They are highly focused on satisfying their customers with courteous, efficient and effective service. My CRVs run trouble free thanks to their service work. And warranty coverage items have been handled very fairly and satisfactorily. I rate them very highly and I appreciate how they fulfill their sales and service missions with care towards their customers.

This dealership was amazing. My husband and I had a nail stuck in our tire and unfortunately we did not have a wheel lock key to change or patch our tire. The mechanic was on his way our the door when we pulled up but he still did the job. We are so grateful for the amazing service! The front service team was so kind and considerate for allowing us in. My van and I received excellent care at Calgary Honda's service department. I very much appreciated working with Trevor (one of the service advisors). He listened carefully and was very respectful of the fact that I normally do a lot of the regular maintenance on my vehicles myself and cooperated with me to fill in the gaps where I couldn't do the work myself in an effective way (or at all, in the case of a transmission software update that needed to get done). There was none of the stereotypical dealership pushiness or upselling or condescension for work done by others.

I will continue to do some of the maintenance work on my vehicles but won't hesitate to return to Calgary Honda for help with service and parts. They did a great job for me.

We recently purchased a 2018 Honda CRV EXL from Calgary Honda. We found the salesperson John Assef to be very amicable and helpful in working with us through the vehicle selection process. "
After we had the car for nearly a month we were concerned about a hesitation in the SUV's response when we would quickly accelerate in situations like merging into traffic.
A few days before the Honda 30 day Exchange privilege expired we contacted the Calgary Honda Manager Nels Kelly and he was more than accommodating in putting our minds at rest by offering to extend the 30 day exchange period to a maximum of another month if necessary to make sure we were satisfied with the evaluation and decision process.
Nels had Jessica Bullied (very accomodating) in their Service Department set up a road test with their shop foreman Brandon Maitland so he could evaluate the vehicle's performance with us. At the end of the road test we better understood what "turbo lag" is, as it can create some hesitation when accelerating vehicles than have turbo charged engines (the CRV has a 4 cylinder turbo charged engine). Brandon then took us for a second road test in another CRV so we could compare if it performed in the same way, and it did.
It's worth mentioning that we noticed a small piece of pillar trim was loose when washing the vehicle, and after Brandon inspected it he suggested all of the pillar trim on both sides of the vehicle be completely replaced which was approved by the manager and replaced.

So in summary, we were very comfortable with, and impressed by the Calgary Honda staff during the road testing and explanation process, not to mention the manager's willingness to extend our Exchange privilege period so we would not feel pressured until our concerns were resolved.

Just returned for a vehicle service and am more than a little cranky from the experience. Firstly, my bill included an oil service charge even though I clarified when booking the appt, that my vehicle was purchased with free oil changes. Secondly, and most disturbing for a multitude of reasons, It was recommended that tires should be rotated and a wheel alignment was required "because of mileage". For clarity, I didn't buy the latest set of tires from Honda and a wheel alignment check performed when purchased revealed no wheel alignment was required. Since there was no visual evidence of miss-alignment (uneven tire wear) and the fact that the service dept.did not take the vehicle for a road test, there was absolutely no way Honda could know if alignment was required. The cost of the tire rotation and alignment was nearly $200.00. My warning to everyone, be very careful accepting recommended by Honda Calgary service. I will seriously consider taking my vehicle elsewhere for future services/repairs.

From booking my appointment to the Covid-safe drop off and timely text message communication throughout the day until pick up, I had a great service appointment with Calgary Honda.

My dad bought a CRV here with the help of John. He's an excellent salesman who was very helpful and friendly throughout the whole experience. If you want to buy a Honda, this dealership is a great one and if you ask for John, you're in for great treatment.

Your actions made every bit of difference to our family and my vehicle. I was in the process of the buyout option for my lease agreement ending. Around the same time, Calgary had a severe thunderstorm and water surge which resulted in our condo parkade flooding and my vehicle taking on some water in one of the footwells. The Calgary Honda team (Sales, Service and Finance) were able to coordinate to get my vehicle in for the final inspection earlier than it was due for and check for any damage from the flooding. They also assisted to dry the wet footwell area as it was not drying on its own. The buyout option was a phenomenal experience as well. A smiling hello and asking if we had been assisted already from each staff we encountered whether we were there to meet with them specifically or not made for such a welcoming environment. We sincerely appreciate every effort made for taking such great care of us.

I am normally happy to share great experiences and I also think there is something to be said about sharing poor experiences. These guys may be good for new cars but I am not so sure with used inventory. I recently bought a vehicle (Nov 2018) that was a couple of years old, and the sat navigation sim card was missing. After a lot of troubleshooting, including tracking the original owner down, and research it basically means a $600 problem to me as the customer, not what you'd expect when buying 38G worth of vehicle. Seems like a little bit of a greasy move on behalf of someone at Calgary Honda. I certainly won't go back there for my next vehicle: Feel free to make your own mind up. Thanks.

I went to Calgary Honda to purchase a new vehicle and I had absolutely the best experience ever. I told Mingpan the exact vehicle that I wanted and he guided me throughout. Gabe helped me a lot in purchasing my vehicle. Both of them were approachable and they were very knowledgeable in what they are doing as well. I had a good experience with Jon Chong. He was very easy to speak with, no pressure or hassling and worked at my pace which I needed to get done very quickly. He was also very accommodating during the whole process and on the delivery day and when I was getting new tires installed. One hiccup along the way but it was resolved promptly by Jon. Both Jon and his manager were under the impression that a wheel alignment was included in the tire package I had purchased along with the vehicle. When I arrived at their service department a week after purchase they told me the alignment was not included. As soon as Jon discovered this he quickly reached out to me and accommodated the cost. I really appreciated his sincerity and for honoring the original purchase agreement. I recommend specifically asking for Jon when purchasing at Calgary Honda if you want an easy going experience and good customer service.

Travelled 2 hours to Calgary and my low tire pressure light came on. I had my 3 year old with me and told them I had to go back home which was 2 hours away and asked politely if they could put some air in my tires or check and help me with the warning light. The girl put up her hand and said “2 hours” and just glared and treated me badly and said she couldn’t get me in with anyone and just left me with that. God forbid something ever happened to my niece or I. Absolutely unhelpful and won’t be going back there again. I’ll spread the word. So I went to Kal Tire and they checked my light, put air in my tires and I am now on my way.

Thank you Mingpan for helping me find my new car. Mingpan took the time to let me test drive and show me the different cars. Best thing of all, he was not pushy at all. Highly recommend everyone to go to him!
