Calgary Lawn Solutions Landscaping & Hydroseeding

We had a great experience working with Chelsea and her team at Calgary Lawn Service (CLS) this past summer. Initially CLS came to our new acreage property and hydroseeded a few acres around the property. They showed up on time, and completed the work in a very professional manner. Later in the season we had a terrible experience with another contractor who was hired to install flower beds, sprinklers and sod around the house. When that contractor failed, we contacted Chelsea and CLS. Even though it was the end of the season and they were already very busy, they worked extra hours and weekends coming to the rescue. CLS did a great job for us laying 12,600 sq.ft.of sod and completing flower beds in our front yard. Not only did CLS do a great job for us, they were "good people", with a strong customer service attitude, and fun to work with. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They replaced a failing retaining wall and provided me with a number of options. The work was completed on a timely basis and looks great. Both Chelsea and Kyle were a pleasure to work with.

Top notch communication and service from beginning to end. The crew completed the work efficiently and did a great clean up job after. The few outstanding items were taken care of within the week. We couldn't be happier with our beautiful outdoor space! We will definitely use them again for any future projects.

This review is coming from the perspective of someone who is currently employed at Calgary Lawn Solutions. During my time working for CLS, we having complete various types of intricate landscaping projects for many different clients, from full backyard projects that included, for example, building pergolas, removing the old lawn and laying new sod, building a retaining wall, preparing the area above the retaining wall for a rubber paving playground area, building the gardens, and even doing some deck repairs.

We have also done all of these things and more either as singular projects, or 2,3, etc.of these on a single project. Other projects we have completed include things like irrigation installation, fence building, preparation for and laying of all different types of rock in areas such as in between houses, building patios, and many other landscaping projects that you could think of.

I have learned while working here, how much the owners value quality of workmanship, which is shown through how much they have pushed me to make sure the work is done properly, and that it looks exactly how the client wants it to look or better, and also by how much effort and time they have put in to teaching me everything they know, and helping me build on my skills. They also value completing projects in a timely manner that benefits the client. Building long term relationships with customers is highly valued by this company as well, which I have seen firsthand. I have seen them talking to past clients at The Home and Garden Show, for example, and have even been to past clients houses for multiple projects, because every time they have needed more work done, they always come back to us to do it. We have even been to clients houses and have been fed dinners after completing projects, and have just sat around eating and chatting like you would with family or friends.

One very important thing that shows how this company shines is how much effort they put into training their employees, which ultimately translates into landscaping projects being completed exceptionally well for their clients. And not just showing us how to build patios or how to lay sod or how to build a fence, but doing things like team building exercises, self-improvement exercises, and just in general, training that helps us work better as a team, and that helps us improve ourselves individually and as a team. And they don't just want us to know what to do, and to just follow or memorize an instruction manual, but rather to actually know what is going on, and to understand everything completely.

Overall incredible work and learning experience as an employee for Calgary Lawn Solutions.

Chelsea and the team did a great job on our backyard landscaping. Fencing, grading and sod, walkway, raised bed, and some new planting. Chelsea is very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend.

We hired Calgary Lawn Solutions to remove our front yard sod and lay down landscape fabric. In addition they willingly accepted our request and placed the removed sod and put it under our back deck to fill in a large hole. They had to hand bomb it underneath the deck which is a very difficult and requires a lot more intensive work. The three guys who did our landscaping work were very hardworking, upbeat and efficient. They worked nonstop and even took the time and care to remove some additional roots from our previously removed spruce tree. The quote was reasonable and there were no additional fees. I would highly recommend their services. When looking for a landscape company we chose Calgary Lawn Solutions as they were local and a family run business. High praise for a job well done!

When I first moved to my new home, the lawn was in terrible shape. Weeds were abundant, the ground was full of pits and divots, and there were stumps everywhere. The folks at Calgary Lawn Solutions turned that all around in under a day. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient - I will definitely call them first or recommend them for another project.

Kyle and Chelsea (and their team) provided excellent service in the hydro-seeding of about 9000 square feet on our acreage. They were prompt and showed up when they said they would. They are very personable, honest, knowledgeable and helpful. We are very pleased with the job they did for us. We highly recommend Calgary Lawn Solutions.

I would give a 5,000,000,000 star rating if I could! We called and Chelsea came out to our home and we received a quote. They were upfront about the timeline and it gave us enough time to prep our yard for a complete makeover due to many factors. The friendly crew, including Mike and Kyle (the owner) arrived when they said they would. And completed the hydroseeding of our yard. It was beautiful! 4 and 1/2 hours later the hail came and destroyed all of our collective hard work. I sent them an email including pictures and asked what could be done about it. Kyle called my husband back almost immediately. Kyle and Chelsea came out a few hours later and repaired all of the damage that Mother Nature had caused. On a Saturday when all the crew was off, the owner's, who by the way are just great, came and fixed the problem. If that isn't fantastic customer service I don't know what is. I don't know all of the services they provide but I would/will hire them for any of them. I will be recommending Calgary Lawn Solutions to everyone I know. Thanks so much.

After calling several places for quotes to install sod Calgary lawn solutions was not only competitive but able to make it within less than a week of my call. They showed up on time asked what I needed/wanted specifically and even leveled out a few spots so it looked better when done. After finishing they had me look it over just to be sure its as we wanted and it was perfect. If this is a small business you could not tell by how organized and professional they were. Great quality and service.

We had Calgary Lawn Solutions redo two areas where the very old paving stones had sunk or generally lost their former attractiveness. Although it was a relatively small area compared to some landscape projects it was tedious and labor intensive as we wanted the save stones and pattern to match other areas nearby. In every respect the work done was over and above just doing the job. Kyle suggested newer edging that we did not know was available, end product was done in a great time frame to match our schedule, courteous/ knowledgeable professionals. We were very pleased that the estimate done by Chelsea was "dead on" so we did not have additional unplanned for expenses. We are already planning to have Calgary Lawn Solutions back as we know they will do a terrific job.

I had Calgary Lawn Solutions install a stone patio and pathway. I am very happy with the results the patio looks beautiful! Chelsea and Kyle were great to work with, responsive to all my questions and really went out of their way to make sure it was a very positive experience. I would come back and use their services if I ever need landscaping done again!

Had them sod 600sqft in my front yard and after a few weather delays they had it done quickly. It's around 4-5 weeks later now and it's looking great. One photo is immediately after it was finished and the other photo is after the first mow.

We hired Calgary Lawn Solutions to fix the grading in our front and back yard. We moved into a newer infill where the yard had settled, creating dips and hills. We wanted the front and back yards graded properly, new sod laid, patio pavers placed, and gravel brought in around windows and under the deck. We were incredibly impressed with how responsive and professional they were. Their team arrived to our home early and worked HARD. They finished the job in just under 2 days. They offered us their expertise and opinions, and listened to what we wanted. We will be recommending them to friends and family. Kyle, Chelsea and their crew completed a renovation of our front and back yard this spring. Taking out grass and replacing with rock in the front, removing raised flower beds, sod and paving stones in the back. The back was releveled, sod was reinstalled, and a small paver landing installed in front of our deck. We enjoyed working with this team and they did a great job. They were great at communicating and very responsive to questions and concerns. The invoice was right on the quote and great value for the high quality of workmanship. I would definately recommend hiring them for your landscaping needs.

This team did a wonderful job giving my backyard a mini makeover. The stone they recommended for my little walkway looks wonderful and they were great with providing information for care of my new sod. I’m always up for supporting little family-owned businesses and would definitely recommend them or use them again for any future work that I need done.

Completely blown away by every aspect of my experience. We had a few companies come and quote our sod job, but chose Calgary Lawn Solutions based on the quality of answers/information given when conducting the initial site visit. It was very apparent that this group was knowledgeable and took great pride in their work, which absolutely turned out to be the case.

They were able to schedule and complete our project ahead of the originally provided schedule, and aside from letting the team into the backyard required no involvement from me. After completing the job, I was given detailed information on how to care for our new lawn and continuously reassured that we could call day or night if we had any issues or concerns. Also, the team left absolutely no trace that there was a crew on site at all - except of course for the beautiful new sod.

The crew brought in 2 loads of soil, groomed and contoured and applied hydro seeding in a couple of days. They patiently explained in detail everything they were doing, were always happy to answer questions, are very knowledgeable and were clearly dedicated to ensuring I was a happy customer.
