Great atmosphere but….

I went for botox last summer as it only costed $8 per units and the place I initially got it done at is $10.

I get 28 units at the original place but the injector at Calgary MediSpa advised 36 units and I agreed.

When the botox was first injected, I felt super dizzy and sleepy. The thing is, I’ve never experienced this at my original medispa as the process was always smooth and relaxed.

A few weeks later, the botox settled but it didn’t settle on the left side of my forehead. So when I raise my brows it would only do so on the left side. I LOOKED SO WEIRD!

I went back to the original place I get my botox at so that they can fix it. Instead of saving money, I spent more!

The cheap botox definitely is eye catching but NEVER again.

Edit: My amazing nurse injector that fixed my forehead recommended Ikaria Medical Aesthetics in Calgary! I went there for a fat dissolving injection and my experience was wonderful!

I happened to relocate to Calgary and walked right into Calgary MediSpa in Marda Loop.

Curious, as I was looking for treatments my darker skin tone. I was greeted by marketing director who not only provided information of the clinic, staff, and treatments but also provided insights on the area and what it had to offer being new to Calgary. This was exceptional, and a wonderful first impression.

Within the week, I had a phone call and then an in person consult with Gayle. Gayle felt authentic and genuine. She had provided treatment plans for my skin with open dialogue and education. She shared her own experiences with treatments and she looks amazing!

I met with Dr. Idahosa and was pleased to see a Doctor with Fitz greater than 4. This matters as you practice what you preach. He assessed my skin as well, and further education led to RF Micro-needling procedure and treatment. During the procedure he treats, assess, and then reassess. I felt confident in his capabilities and care.

Looking forward to the next visit!

Be warned. Do not use this clinic
I paid for a 6 week treatment and the doctor was only there for 2 weeks of that medically supervised treatment. I got blown off and threatened with legal action.

TOTAL SCAM PLACE. I received an IPL that did nothing. I have had many over the past couple years and I know how it should have resulted. I called and asked if they would consider spot treatment on my areas of concern. Peter Idahosa said he'd call me back with a solution.instead he blocked my cell. That's the professionalism you will get from him. Don't support such a terrible business.

April 22/23 - update: received a threatening email from the spa today to take my reviews down or they will get their lawyer after me. I stand by my review. Do not use this business!

I’ve never had a more confusing time then dealing with their reception.

I booked online for their $6 Botox special. I’ve had filler for years but this would be my first time getting Botox.

After booking I decided to call and get a rough estimate of what it would cost to do my forehead and eye area, and was told that it varies, which I understand. I again asked if there was a general average amount usually needed, and was told again that it varies.

I then asked what the cost is for 1 syringe of lip filler. In all my years of getting lip filler there is always the price for a half or a full.

I was told that the pricing should show online, and I explained that I hadn’t seen it and since I had booked already it wasn’t letting me go back and add anything additionally.

I was then told to leave my name and email and someone would get back to me.

Well three days later no one had responded, so I called again and spoke to a different receptionist.

I explained that I was waiting for an email that never came, and asked again how much one syringe of lip filler cost and she said she didn’t know. She had no idea the price for any service at all.

Well by the time my appointment rolled around I woke up feeling quite sick. There’s a $150 cancellation fee, so I made sure to call. There was no answer.

I called again the morning of, since no one answered the day before each time I called, and explained that I was sick and would need to reschedule.

The receptionist said she’s not in charge of that and that the “schedule co-ordinator would have to get back to me. ” She forwarded me to whoever that was, no answer, was told to leave my name, phone number, and email. No one ever called me back.

The doctor seems to have good reviews but I’m not really sure what the job of reception is seeing as all they tried to do was get off the phone and not one of them had an answer to anything.

I’ll be sticking to my usual doctor.

Wow what an unreal experience all around. Such a beautiful warm energy and aura from the minute I walked in until the minute I left. Peter did such an amazing, thorough job with my treatment and made me feel super comfortable and at home with his positive vibe and energy. Everyone needs to go here and check it out! I look forward to getting many more services in the near future.

I cant say enough about this medi spa, it is truly unlike any. And I have been to multiple around the city. The staff are so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and make sure to explain every procedure so that you feel at complete ease. After having procedures done I can say that I would not go anywhere else! Thank you DR Peter and staff especially Catalina for such a wonderful experience!

My experience was really negative. The injector did a poor job. There was Botox dripping on my face in treatment. They put way more on one side than the other and I had to return five days later and ask them to adjust it. They put in way more than I asked for and the charge was almost twice as much as normal. It was impossible to phone and follow up because no one ever answered. They cancelled my 3 week follow up without any notice or explanation and would not answer the phone after. I would never go back.

Had a great visit today, the spa is very cute and modern and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and made my visit a pleasure. I will return for further treatments for sure.

A great experience! The doctor administered my Botox and was able to reduce fine lines no other clinic was able to diminish. The staff are very knowledgeable and skilled. I will be going back!

Dr. Peter does bad botox jobs then when people try to get their face fixed and hold him accountable he sends cease and desist letters. Probably don't trust these people with your face.

Got a carbon laser peel today. Vicki snd everyone were so friendly and professional. I love that there’s no downtime and you can easily be in and out in an hour. My skin is like soft like butter it’s only going to get better!

This place is horrible! If you have a bad reaction to a treatment they will ignore you. Also I was not informed about the pain of sculpture until I was hooked up to the machine. 10 days later I’m still in horrible pain! Do not go here and do not get this treatment. Extremely unprofessional.

My first visit was delightful …beautiful space and honest medical professionals. Will adjust the rating to 5 stars once my treatment kicks in or gives me the results I am looking for. Looking forward to seeing the staff soon.

My husband and I decided to get each other Botox for Christmas this year and I found MediSpa! I really enjoyed my experience at Calgary MediSpa. Very professional.
I liked that there was a real doctor there compared to when I go to other shops and just have a woman that does nails also. Not saying they are not qualified but I felt that I was getting the best treatments, advice and they listened to my concerns.

There are many other places in Calgary with better ethical standards. I'm actually disgusted by this place.

Afrida was so nice and made me feel very comfortable during the whole IPL photo facial session. Dr. Idahosa was also very kind and patiently answered all my queries. I am very pleased and booked my next appointment right away.

Honestly could not have had a better experience here! Both Dr. Idahosa and Nurse Zoe are so attentive to detail as well as informative, ensuring all your questions are answered. They are also extremely personable and provide such a welcoming environment, which really goes to show just how much they care for their clients.

I had a chemical peel done and have already noticed an improvement in my skin texture, removal of acne, as well as a reduction in the prominence of my acne scars. Not to mention the chairs are so comfy and Zoe took excellent care of me, constantly checking in and doing whatever she could to make the treatment comfortable.

I have been to Calgary MediSpa once for IPL to treat pretty severe post Accutane acne scarring redness or post inflammatory erythema. I have booked in for my next treatment, so far everything has gone well. I can't say I've seen improvements yet but that's also to be expected as change doesn't happen overnight and it doesn't happen in one treatment. I really liked the staff, my consultation was done with a physician present and the aesthetician. The staff were professional, answered all my questions and left me feeling comfortable especially being that there were working on my face. They explained everything to me in detail, suggested further options for treatment of the textured acne scars, and then the procedure started. It didn't take very long at all and was basically painless. I hope that within a few more treatments I'll start to see more results. Overall very satisfied with my experience thus far and excited to see how my skin will improve with treatments.

My go to medispa! I feel they genuinely care about my skin goals and have been helping me reach them. Highly recommend. Very comfortable atmosphere with no pressure on upgrading services or product purchases which is something that’s steered me from other clinics. I won’t go anywhere else.

Friendly staff, communicated the procedure first and the doctor gave a brief consultation on what else I should be doing to improve my skin tone and texture. It was my first time to do microneedeling, it felt comfortable and even more reassuring to know I have immediate access to a doctor in case I need medical assistance.

Had an excellent treatment with Co2 laser. Aesthetician and staff are awesome, knowledgeable and pleasant. Highly recommended to everyone looking for the best treatment in Calgary

This place is fantabulous. Even before I visited this place, I was intouch with Katalyna, who was so very kind, inspite of her busy schedule to explain to me in detail the various treatments and options I had. On meeting her in person, I was even more impressed, she was patient, understood my concerns, explained what was best for my skin type and did my treatment accordingly. Was not pushy and definitely did not try to sell me anything that was not needed. Highly recommend this place.

This is the worse Medical Spa in Calgary. Their treatments are very expensive and you don't see any results at all. They just like to grab people's money so watch out. Defently I don't recommend this place because I waisted my money. As well the people that perform the treatments for weight loss and medical skin care are not even certified as Medical Estheticians. They are some of them only the receptionists and I think this is so wrong. They should close this medispa only they like to lie to their clients about the results they will get with their treatments and the outcome is a disaster.
A lot of the good reviews are fake writen by the business employees.
