Absolute joke of a business. I was referred here from a different company due to their verity of work they perform on. I Called in and was told to send in my information with pictures and a good description
(which I did) to be able to get an estimate. 5 days and 2 phone calls to follow up on a response and still no response from Jim. As a high performing business owner myself, with deadlines to meet and customers waiting for responses, I must say this is the most unorganized establishment I have had to deal with. I Recommend looking around for more serious establishments. It’s unfortunate as they seem to do good work.

Quick turn around (one week) for my two hand rails and two wall rails, helpful staff, and finnished product was perfect.

Price point was better then other shops in the city. Met the timeline discussed. Decided to try them out, problem was there was bare metal lines from where the had to hang the parts up. Not sure if its common for there be lines on a finished part to be bare steal after being powder coated. Not sure if id use them again in the future.

My company has been using calgary powder coating for 10+ years.always had great results and great service! Very few minor hiccups and have always been addresses immediately and without question.

Jim and his crew have taken care of us for several years, quality is very consistent and pricing is very fair. I’d trust these guys over any others locally.

Took in two hand railings with fancy pickets it had a horrible paint job on them! Calgary Powder Coating did an amazing job and was cheaper then expected!

To echo the many good reviews on here.

2. Estimator warned me about possibly not meeting my tight deadline prior to accepting the job.
3. The price was very competitive.
4. Estimator warned me about the shortcomings of powder coating my pieces and what to expect prior to accepting the job.
5. The guys in the shop were very kind, polite and down to earth. They also had some good tips for how to build something that will powder coat well. Duly noted for next time I bring something in for them to coat.

I was a little confused when Calgary Powdercoatings gave me an estimate at less than half of other Calgary shops because I have been burned by picking the "lowest bidder" before, they say a cheap man pays twice. Well after reading reviews here I was confident that it was going to be great and after having picked up my powdercoating three weeks ago I have to say that it's perfectly done and it looks great. I am so glad I got it done and chose Calgary Powdercoatings and wanted to leave a 5 star review because it's the reviews that helped me decide in the first place. I will be back with more work for them because they have made a return customer of me for sure. Thanks for the great work and awesome price.

We started using them about 3 months ago with the company I work for. They have been excellent to deal with. The product we drop off is finished very quickly. The one time there was an issue Jim dealt with it very professionally and the repair was finished immediately. Mistakes will always happen but it's how it's dealt with that's important. I couldn't have asked for better service. They've now become the only powder coaters we deal with.

I brought in the frame of my 28 year old Jeep YJ for media blasting and powdercoat. The frame was in fairly rough shape. I was overjoyed the the workmanship and the result. I also powdercoated a variety of other vehicle components and they all came out looking better than new.

Throughout they were easy to talk to and coordinate the job with. The work was completed early and the price was fair.

Side note - as he was bringing my order out, the sway bar fell and was scuffed. He refused to let me have it, insisting it need to be perfect. So he fixed it.

Love this place. They’ve been powdercoating all my various projects for 20 years, wheels, bikes, racks, home stuff, scooter parts, car parts etc. Highly recommend.

The customer service was decent. I was told they had done a lot of brakes before and it wouldnt be an issue to tape them off. I picked them up and they looked good but after getting the seals and boots in I started to realize there was a very inconsistent job and they didnt tape a lot of areas off. The pistons were taped off, thought in the rears I had a lot of sand I had to clean out with brake fluid and during the brake bleed.

But what bothered me most was the bleeder holes, the insides were powder coated to the edge (not well, I had to thread chase them to get the bleeder valves in) but the outsides were left exposed metal.all of the pin holes and the caliper bolt were filled with powder also, this closed in the holes and made rebuilding them a nightmare. Also where the calipers mount to the car, they powder coated the matting surface, but left the surface not touching anything bare. It was like everything they taped off was the wrong side.

They did offer to redo them at no cost, but being that it was a custom color I would have had to pay for that.

The work was good, but the prep was pretty careless, I wish I would have known or I would have taken some times to point out what surfaces I didn't want covered.

Got my wheels powder coated in gunmetal gray. They told me it would take 2-3 weeks and I got them back in 2 weeks. I'm really happy with the way they turned out. There are some small imperfections in 2 wheels but it's not really noticeable unless you're up close and really looking. The wheels were wrapped in a plastic wrap when I picked them up and when I removed the wrap, you could see lines from where the wrap was around the wheel barrel. I'm not sure what caused it- my best guess is that it wasn't fully dried when it was wrapped. It's not that big of a deal since it'll get covered up once I put tires on it. Other than that, wheels look great and I can't wait to put them on my car for the winter.
