Raciest are sitting there and if they don't want to work then why are they sitting there? My husband went there to give a knowledge test, he had the address proof on his phone he showed them and they said we can't accept that even registry at Savana they accepted it one day before. And even he showed them his address proof in his bank account app. He waited 40 mins in line.

The Best Registry in the Nw! I went to this location to upgrade to class 5 and renew my cars registration, very smooth transaction with clerk 109, I don’t know her name but she’s very nice.crowfoot location don’t even bother check my driving history and told me that there only doing the upgrade if it’s for emergency and I have to wait for my letter in June.country hills location check my driving history right away and I go home with my class 5 LICENSE! Terrible service! I will never use their business!

I am living in the community and using their services for the past 10 years. I recently went there for a Class 1 road test permit. It is a free service. They refused to provide it unless I buy their road test. I told them that my road test cost was covered by the driving school. And they just refused to provide it.

I switched to another registry and get it done within less than 2 minutes with no questions and no cost at all.

I applied for the 5 Adv. Road Test at this registry. I got there early and the lady at the counter was nice and fast to deal with my booking. But unfortunately, one of brake bulk which I never noticed didn't work so that I didn't pass even my test has not started at all. Subsequently, the examiner named Rene who was a really nice and supportive had me to sit to discuss some main mistakes that people often make. This procedure was quite useful I think though I didn't pass.
It is just my fault but I think NO REFUND is an unreasonable rule by the government.
I heard that examiners move around among several registries, thus there is no significant correlation between the result you get and the registry you book at.

Best Service Registry in Northwest. I recommend all especially North West residents to go there. Front desk staff are very nice, polite and explain everything in a calm behaviour. I went there for a Road test. My examiner was Mr. Grewal. He is very good. He deduct my fair marks. At the end, He also explain my faults in a very good way. His observation inspire me a lot. I pass my road test there.

Me and wife went to this location for change our Driver License Ontario to Alberta. 1st we go Customers service agent may be Asian (Chinese origins, she found rude and non cooperative and attitude very discrimination. We refuses her service. Than we go for one Asian h Indian origin) Palbabi, she ask Botha of us for vision test.the test tropic she demonstrated unrelated to driver vision test (very dark some others language) she told failed And advise for Eye test. Later we went different Registration office, there they tested vision (totally different and very familiar we done different time different Province) we passed and get our Driver License change.
This office personal so far not good and intentionally Pallabi done vision test differently so can not Pass. It was very stressful and embarrassing, unexpected.
Pallabi intentionally she set some other test so both we could fail, not a single lens both of us could read or figure out what showing in the screen. So we can faild easily.
We than go another Register facility and vision test is different as usual last 38 years we had given. Authority’s should investigate this event and improve public services

Love this registry! The employees here are so much nicer than other registries in Calgary I have been to. Also for the most part the line up seems to be much shorter than other places for the most part! Never had an issue at this registry!

The road test’s price is really expensive. I checked the price around Calgary, it is between $90 to $99 but at this registry, it is $123.00.

Great service here! I've been here multiple times: for like 3 different services. I believe it was Kanyarat who handled all of them and she did so like a pro (particularly the services that I needed that were relatively complicated)!

My family members have also gotten great service here too! Definitely worth driving over even though I have other locations nearer to my place.

Renewed online and only received an electronic copy of registration. Phoned & asked for a paper copy and they responded "sure for $28" and blamed it on the government. $28 for a single piece of paper. Lost my business.

Christine processed the renewal for 3 vehicles, she was quick, efficient, cheerful so I will give her 5 stars. The reason I am giving 2 stars, a few hours later I got a call from the registry stating, they had under charged me and that I need to come back and pay the difference ASAP. I told the person no, I paid the correct amount to which she replied system shows that I didn’t pay the correct amount and I should check my debit slip. Again I told her that I paid correct amount and that I paid in Cash. She put me on hold and then told me “0h yes you paid the correct amount” it must have been someone else. You would think that they would double, triple check the numbers before accusing customers of short changing them. Very disappointed!

Very disappointed about the lady's attitude. I went to renew my plates. The lady took all my documents and gave me a price to pay. After I paid, I don't know what I paid, so I ask if I paid for one year or two? And tell her I want to renew for the next two years which I normally do. She said: " you should ask before you pay. " With a very bad attitude and manner. While I am thinking what I should do. She is repeating: " You should ask, if you don't ask, we assume one year. " This is sounds like all my fault. I probably need to know how to renew it by myself to make her happy. I am highly recommend if you have choice, go to another location or online next time.

Thank you very much for your service! I was very frustrated by other registry this morning, and decided to try this location. The lady that helped me was very kind, quick and knows what she is doing.
I spent 20-30min at other registry trying to get my legal name change certificate and all they did was yelling at me but this location did amazing! They found the information that i was looking for, and i was able to submit the form within 5min. Thank you!

I usually don't write reviews but here goes nothing. Worst place ever, if you are looking to get anything done within a day, good luck. The are all female group of some of the worst humans you would ever find on this planet. Who are there to waste your time. They are not there to help you in any way but to torture you. I would recommend the crowfoot place even tho they are farther they are still decent human beings.

Absolutely amazing service and efficiency! COVID has made everything really, really tough to do, but Christie (Calgary Registry Services, 5149 Country hills BLVD N office) went back and forth answering emails and getting all the documents etc.from me at least 7 times, without dropping the ball once (5-10 minute delay in interactions - Maximum) and we were able to do what amounted to an otherwise difficult registration-renewal within 2-3 hours, on the same day! Then I paid (Credit card, online, easy, fast) got the invoice immediately and was emailed my temporary license as well, and Christie told me that my new Driver's license will arrive in 7-10 days in the mail. JOB WELL DONE! Thank You for making these tough and stressful times easier!

The best registry ever! Not just only the staff super nice and friendly and helpful, but also my driving examiner, Nick, the best ever. Really professional, patient, calm, knowledgeable and really understand how terrified I was when I took my road test. I will ask all my family members to take their road test here and all the registry things. Although a little bit far from where we live, it’s worth the “trip”. Keep up the great work!

The staff at the registry are nice; however, after failing my road test the driving examiner was horrible enough to verbally abuse me yelling at me after forcing himself onto the steering wheel to go into a parking slot. This resulted in me feeling shaken, uncomfortable, and unconfident with future driving.

I visited Country hills Registry today for renew my son's parking placard for person with disability. A woman on the far right responded to me. She was in bossy attitude and blamed me " You filled out wrong paper! I can't accept it! I will give you the new form. " with rude behaver. She gave me a authorization for vehicle form.
However Crowfoot registry place told me this authorization for vehicle form is wrong that she gave me and they told us we need this parking placard for person disabilities application form that I originally brought.
I and my son renewed the parking placard with nice customer service at Crowfoot registry place.

I was disappointed with her (country hills registry) wrong knowledge and rude manner.
I have visited country hills registry a few years ago that time I also got bad customer service.
I commented here because I hope country hills registry will get to improve the good customers service in the future.

I went to Country Hills Registry to change over a driver's license from another jurisdiction.

I presented the documents, then in a rather direct voice, the heavily-accented lady stated "I cannot accept this; it must be direct mail". This was confusing to me because two days earlier I was told by a staffer at the Calgary Registry Services Crowfoot location that it would suffice. When I explained this to her, she ignored me, printed off a list of documents, and passed it to me while refusing to make eye contact. She claimed that Calgary Registry Services was a different business. "They were wrong", she explained. "I thought you were under the same business name? " I asked. "No! They're totally different business - different owner! " She provided additional explanation, rarely breaking her gaze from her computer screen. This made it difficult for me to understand what she was saying.

As a bilingual speaker and one that has lived abroad and taught English abroad for over ten years, I have a high level of compassion and tolerance for individuals whose first language is not English, which may been the case with this individual. However, her demeanour clearly illustrated that she was in no mood to provide clarity or service for the outcome I was trying to achieve: i.e, see opening sentence of this post. In the end, I felt as if we both lost. They did not get my business, and I did not get my license.

This was a regretful experience, and one that I hope the best for the Calgary Registry Services' Country Hills Location will be able to remedy perhaps through training and development. Until then, I think it may be best to consider other options.

Had such a pleasant experience here two weeks ago! Moved from Ontario to Alberta so had to switch licences, health cards & request new vehicle registration. Agent was so helpful, friendly, and caring! Absolutely no line up and even if there was - coming from Ontario I am used to 2 hr + waiting periods as soon as the doors opened.

Worst place to go for registry.
I went there to convert my license and I have everything address proof, pr card, Ontario license, they did not change it. They didn't accepted my employment letter.
Went to other registry APLUS Registry and they changed my license with no problem.
Wastage of my time for going there at calgary Registry.
The staff is not knowledgeable and nor professionals.
Don't go there.

I took a Class 5 Advanced Road Test with Rene. I see that a previous reviewer (Oyin Magbadelo) also had Rene and found that he was extremely picky with deductions; I echo this comment. As a result of what I believe to be unfair deductions, I failed my test. Rene did take the time to explicitly state examples for why the deductions were made so that I could avoid those mistakes on my next test. I appreciate him doing that but still believe many of the deductions to be invalid.

I did not want to have Rene as the examiner again so went to Crowfoot Plates Registry for my second test. First of all, Calgary Registry Services is more expensive at ~$186 whereas Crowfoot Plates Registry cost ~$150. The Government of Alberta lets the agency set the price of the test. Secondly, the duration of my drive with Crowfoot Plates Registry was shorter and a more reasonable duration. I was driving for 80 minutes on my test with Calgary Registry Services and 50 minutes with Crowfoot Plates Registry.

During my test with Rene, he stated something along the lines of "I'm not here to fail you" and "I do not set the routes". I would beg to differ on the former and for the latter either one of my instructors did not follow the designated route or the routes set by the Government of Alberta are inconsistent. I do not know if the agency can choose which examiners they use but based on my experience with Rene and Calgary Registry Services' pricing, I would look elsewhere to do your test.

Very frustrating, I took the test twice with the same examiner (Renee), and he was very picky and unfair with the deductions. First time around I got an automatic fail because I climbed over the curb during parallel parking at the very start of the test and I didn't get another chance to redo it. Second time around, he was very picky and unreasonable with the deduction of points. I made a left turn safely but he said i had enough time to get 3 cars to do the same left turn. Then he takes marks off reaching inside the wheel ONCE when turning left. Extremely unreasonable and picky.

Some of the staff were unprofessional and uncaring, didn't seem to want to help. Was there Monday early afternoon just to try to change my address on my license as I moved recently. Much worse experience than any other registry I've been to. Went to crowfoot plates after and they helped me quickly with no problem, even though they said they couldn't do it here

Difficult to socially distance and customers were not required to wear a mask properly. Pin pad was not sanitized after use and neither were pens. Wished I had brought my own sanitizing equipment as the customer before me was not covering his nose and had his stuff all over the counter space before me.

1st lady who help me she was great.listen my problem than another lady helping me thats was disappointed with her attitude. 1 star for her customer service
Store was clean and following covid instruction form government.

I use their service back in 2017 for change my US license to canada. I just know that i got class 5 GDL license. I know its was too late as i did not know difference
I check with government and they told they don’t receive any documentation, they advice to see the registry to check when i change my license. So went in today to check, staff listen my problem i ask to check their database but they don’t have as they send to everything to government. Don’t know who made mistake but because of someone mistake i have problem.
Staff telling me that i am making stories and i never submit my abstract report with out checking database. Also told that she listen me for 40 min and leave as she has another customer. Also telling me its my fault as i m coming back after 3 years well i dont the difference as rules r different
Well i will not come to ur business if ur staff did not make mistake.
Not use this location another option is available in area as well.
Will suggest go to crowfoot (plates registries)

What a difference in service when compared to Crowfoot Registry. The staff here were friendly, helpful and quick. I went into to register a incorporation and was in and out in 15 mins. Contrast that to registry in Crowfoot which made me wait for an hour plus, were rude, charged unnecessary money and still did not complete the ask and wanted me to come another day.

Definitely recommend this registry. Keep up the good work.

Service inside the office is ok, but I do not suggest do your road test at this place, especial immigrant. The examiner, ID-10215, is picky without patient. I drove around 40 in snow covered residential zone, she claimed too slow. She said I should keep to maximum speed limit 80 even on the deceleration lane, and speed up to maximum as soon as enter the ramp. I slow down to around 40 on some curve road in residential area as warning sign showing 40, she blamed it's too slow. I drove around 48 on 50 limit road, she felt too slow for some cars were behind me. She asked me to stop after passed the Stop sign because the stop sign is too far from the road (who place a stop sign 3 meters away from sidewalk edge?). She failed me by just giving 60 points for TOO-SLOW. Have been driving more than 10 years, she is first person said I drive slow. Feel like cheated by this examiner. She need to get more training to be a decent examiner.

I’m not quite sure what most of these reviewers are with the bad & negative reviews, 1star, etc.but I’ve been going to this establishment & I have nothing but positive, welcoming, respectful & great experience here. Ladies were always accommodating & even w/their masks on, you can just tell their smiles just with their eyes! You have got to remember there’s 2 registries on this long stretch of road called country hills.either they’re reviewing the wrong place &/or they have to replace their respected “pushers”! Keep it up, staff, be safe & keep on doing what you’re doing.

Wow if I could give this place negative stars I would. If you enjoy wasting your time, make sure you head on over here. Special shoutout to that lady with the glasses, dark hair and copper highlights working the seated desk today: you lied to me about my name not listed on my vehicle. I proceeded to another registry who showed me that I was listed on there and I was able to register my vehicle with no issues. This lady needs better customer service skills because she did not even tell me what I needed to do to get what I needed done. I certainly hope you treat your future customers better.

Definitely did not have a good experience taking my road test here. I was failed because I went through the intersection at a yellow light and although I wasn’t exactly in the intersection already, I also was not far enough away from it to stop safely at the time that the light turned yellow and was taught by my driving instructors and parents that it is safer to go ahead if you are not far enough away. I also got to a stop sign, came to a complete stop first and than proceeded because the road was clear but was failed because I didn’t count one thousand and one, one thousand and two, up to three and onward. Am I supposed to be sitting there counting or actually looking for cars once I’ve come to a stop? The examiner also claimed I went up to 58 in a 50 zone even though I was looking at my speed the whole time and was certain I only briefly went up to 55 at the most when cars were following me too closely. He also got confused himself as to the route he was taking me on and abruptly remembered that he needed me to turn left when I got very close to the intersection, throwing me off when I was already nervous and requiring me to shoulder check and change lanes very quickly to get ready to turn which is quite unsafe. He also asked me to parallel park on a slightly busy two way road where cars were frequently coming behind me and had to drive into the other oncoming traffic lane in order to go ahead. When I told him I didn’t think that area was a good place to be parallel parking in because of the amount of cars coming behind me having to drive into a lane with oncoming traffic he seemed rather annoyed as he reluctantly agreed to take me somewhere else. I was also taught that in residential areas, it is good to go around a speed of 30 if there are no cars driving behind you in order to have more awareness and control in hilly areas, turns, crosswalks and upcoming playground zones which is what I did during my test but nonetheless got points for. I shared my experience with family and friends who have taken their driving test as well and they all agreed that I definitely got cheated by this examiner. Perhaps not all the examiners at this registry are like this but I’d recommend going somewhere else to avoid any chances of getting him.

The mood and attitude of the office and staff is quite miserable; perhaps it's due to difficult Covid times. Although it may not be their fault (I don't know what the Alberta Government mandates for fees), the fees charged were in my opinion unreasonable: $7 for address change on car registration, $28 for address change on drivers license and $9 to pay fine. If those are the government mandated fees, I'll go to AMA next time where staff are more friendly.

I took my class 5 basic road test at this location and had a horrible experience. They ask you to arrive 30 minutes early, as per protocol which is fine. I arrived there 30 minutes early and was forced to wait over an hour and a half before I could take my test. The attendant behind the desk could barely understand me when I told her I was here for my class 5 road test and kept trying to give me an address for an off site class 3 test. They had me wait outside on a 28 degree day without any shade. Once I got into the car the examiner was quite harsh in her attitude and would not allow me to ask any questions. During my parallel park I pulled close beside to the car in order to not be obstructing traffic and she “had to intervene” because she thought we would hit the vehicle (we were a good foot away) and thus she automatically failed me. It gets even worse.we arrive back at the registry and she promptly exits the vehicle and runs into the registry leaving me without a word, and comes back 15 minutes later only to tell me she had just gone in to THROW UP! I was shocked and disgusted at the unprofessional behaviour- she should not have had to come into work if she was feeling ill and DEFINITELY should not have been in a small car with me while feeling ill. Would never recommend this location for testing.

The girl with silver short hair near to test station is too rude, she think she is smart but she doesn't have any customer service skills. She speaks too rude and arrogant. We never want to continue business with this registry as this girl made our experience bad (being rude). We went there was registration renewal on Friday she could have been polite telling us that she needs both our names on insurance but she acted rude.

Usually a good place to go for quick service. With all the current events with covid I experienced a major lack in compassion and caring. They have restricted hours.waited outside for more than half and hour and then found I had the wrong paperwork with me for license registration. After asking about using a specific paperwork and having this confirmed i went home and got it, lined up again and was told it couldn’t be used. Of course the second i walked out the door the correct paperwork was found but they had locked the door behind me and refused to open it to find out why i turned around.there were a couple people outside still in line so i got in line again, in hope for someone to come out and talk to us, hoping they would show some compassion. Rather than that they left us standing for another 20mins and when the last person they were helping came out they almost slammed the door on him and then just said “we’re closed”. Their original hours are until 6p but with covid they closed at 5p and at this time it was 5: 35p.while i get the adjusted hours there was only 3 people waiting (myself included). Resulted in one gentleman not being able to go away for the weekend and me not being able to take my students on a road ride. The uncaring attitude shown here will have me taking my business elsewhere, as a private owned business and given the economy at the moment i truly believe we should show compassion and help each other out rather than make it difficult for each other.i hope the video that the one gentleman took of you slamming the door in my face goes viral.if i could i would give this review thumbs down rather than even 1 star.

I wanted to say thank you to Avneet for making my first experience at the registry awesome! I normally use AMA but they were mostly closed.

I was there to renew my driver license and she reminded me about 3 other things needing updates and renewals. She really new her stuff and a pleasure to speak with. She was very patient, which I appreciated.

Also, as I was speaking with her and filling out the paperwork, I noticed a big lineup that vanished in 8 min. Excellent service! Highly recommend this place. Avneet should get a raise!

Very frustrating experience for sample paperwork.in a nutshell, some staff working at this registry are not knowledgeable about basic paperwork needed for getting Class5 driver licenses after completing the class 7. I went there to get some paperwork done to get class 5, they gave me a list of document to bring one of them was my Class 7 exam completion document (a document that gets collected at the day of exam by the registry when you pass the Class5) after arguing about the need of a document I no longer have, they gave me a list of the document with the paper they gave me, they asked for more documents and denied that they gave me the list of items incomplete in the first place. Train your staff properly and stop wasting people's time.

Went in to do class 5A road test. I've done AMA drivers training in the past so I know the rules of the road. Everything they told me during the test was contrary to what I've learned at AMA. For example, yielding to the right at a T intersection. They also marked me off for things I couldn't control like pedestrians starting to walk across the street even though I was already over the crosswalk. Do not take your test here. Absolute waste of $150 dollars.
