Hi. I've been having back pain for years.pain has been so bad that I couldn't lift or bend over doin work! Also did cortisone shots n possibly surgery! I have had chronic neck and spine pain and mobility problems occurring because of a motor vehicle accident in 2005.

I was T boned by a heavy hauler Freightliner pulling a full size loaded 52’ van full of peat moss.

The truck driver blew through a stop sign and subsequently my car slid under the truck trailer frame (as he crossed highway 28) and was getting crushed by his trailers rear tires. I was knocked unconscious and had internal injuries and several broken bones.

I have now completed 20 sessions of care from Dr. Allan Chong and haven’t felt this good in 16 years since the MVA.

I am 37yrs old and am currently in this treatment and Dr. Alan Chong is single handedly changing my life and has saved my sanity! I've been diagnosed with bulge disc at L4 and L5-S1, mild degenerative disc disease in lower lumbar spine. I was in severe pain and walking was impossible. I was also placed in short term disability. I took prescripted medication like, gabapentin, naproxen and topical cream. I've also tried physiotherapy with core exercises weight loss and also visited different chiropractors and nothing was working, this put me through depression. Finally my wife found Calgary decompression centre where Dr. Alan Chong assisted me and gave me a thorough examination. Now I'm on my 6th session and my back feels much better than before, I can now return to my usual activities but nothing crazy. Dr Allan Chong is the best chiropractor he has changed my life. I was suffering for many weeks with burning pain and weakness down my left leg together with back pain. The treatments and information I was receiving was ineffective and I knew I needed to do something to regain my active lifestyle. I requested a MRI which revealed I had L3 herniation together with a Degenerative Spondylolisthesis at L4.

When I booked my appointment it was just as phase 2 of COVID-19 was authorized by the Alberta gov't. As it was my first appointment, I had the privilege to witness how the office managed functioning at a high pace. They demonstrated care and compassion with all their patients in discomfort, maintaining a clean work environment, while managing to stay focused at the task at hand.
I went in for the consultation with Dr. Chong for a thorough head to toe examination. I was impressed because even though the office was scattered with so many patients in the queue, he continued delivering quality and thorough patient care. He ensured I understood my diagnosis and prognosis before, if I so decided, to move forward.
After I had an adjustment and laser treatment, I felt a relief from the pressure and discomfort. I have been suffering with leg pain for over 5 months due to 2 herniated discs in my lower back. I have had 4 different cortisone shots in different spots in my lumbar area. Nothing was providing any relief. I was skeptical about spinal decompression, but was running out of options. I have had 11 sessions on the DRX and my pain is now at a 3 out of 10. After reviewing my previous xrays and MRI results we discussed treatment options. I began my decompression on Dec 3 and after 7 sessions my pain levels decreased from a 7 to a 3.5. I can actually walk properly and have very minimal pain. My husband, Ted and I travel extensively and we winter in Arizona so my quality of life that Dr Chong has given me is amazing. I will be able to resume some activities in our RV Resort now too. I will continue my decompression sessions in the spring when I return to ensure the maximum benefit from decompression. Dr. Chong has made a huge difference in my life and all for the better. I had serious lower back issues for over 3 yrs. Nothing I did gave me relief. Cortisone injections, spinal ablation, pain medication, were only helping to mask the pain but not fix it. I was finally convinced to visit Calgary Spinal Decompression clinic but I was sceptical. After a consultant with Dr. Chong I began a series of treatments. After my treatments were completed, I was back to my regular self. We all know what chiropractors do, but I believe not a lot of people heard about DRX spinal decompression. I chose this type of treatment as an alternative to neck surgery that my health condition would eventually lead to. I had 2 bulging discs C5 & C6, pinched nerve on my neck, experienced intolerable pain that would started from the right shoulder and shoots along an arm all the way down to the fingers, then entire arm and fingers turned numb. This had happened every two hours during a day and simptoms become severe at night during the last two years. I couldn’t bear it any longer and began treatment with DRX9000, laser and adjustment at Dr. Alan Chong clinic. He recommended 20 sessions, but after a few visits I noticed improvement and was pain free completely by 10th visit. I felt the discs were pulled back into place, so provided space for nerve. I don’t know if my condition regress, will hope for the best. Right now I feel good and such expensive treatment worth it. Thank you Dr. Chong!

The Chiropractor was not friendly at all when talking to me. Very pushy and he was seeing other patients during my paid assessment session which he charged me 200$ for. I would not recommend it to anyone

I’ve been suffering debilitating back pain for 13 years. I was getting nowhere with doctors so I decided that it was time to look further on my own. Dr. Chong is the first person who ordered X-rays for my pelvis and lower spine right away. This was the first time I felt somebody heard me and was also invested in my healing process from a physical stand point. Now, seven sessions in with Dr. Chong and the decompression table, cold laser therapy and chiropractic adjustments I can tell you that for the first time In 13 years I am getting relief! I can bend, I can do regular activities and my pain has gone from a 10 to a 2. I’m very hopeful and confident that soon that 2 is going to be at zero. I have been seeing Dr. Chong for 4 months and I find him to be very knowledgable and honest. He was confident that he could reduce my pain but did say that realistically he may not be able to completely eliminate my pain. I had cervical discectomy and fusion due to degenerative disc disease 3 years ago. I have had chronic neck pain post surgery and tried many types of treatment with no improvement. Dr. Chong did a full assessment including x-rays prior to treatment. He explained the treatment plan very thoroughly and also what I should expect. Dr. Chong is the only chiropractor that I have seen that is experienced with post spine surgery and confident to manually adjust my neck. I have found that my neck is now sitting straight on my shoulders where previously it was tilted to the right. My pain level has significantly been reduced and I am happy with my results.
