The story is dirty and overpriced.they want outrageous prices on things they got for free and if they even remotely think that something has value (which 99 per cent of the time doesn't) then they put it behind the counter.the only saving grace is that the staff I've encountered have been friendly

If I could give it 0 stars I would do it without thinking about it, I bought a 200 dollar TV that the manager assured me worked, it looked apparently new, I got home and tried it and it didn't work, I came back the next day telling them that it took up my return since the TV did not work as they had told me and they did not make the greatest effort to ask what happened to the TV, which makes me think that they actually sold me the TV and it did not work. I will not buy anything from Good Will again after seeing how they stole my money, since they gave me the refund in whatever merchandise I wanted but not the money.

Great and easy to deal with. Cory and Jeff were fantastic and made donating a smooth easy process.

I love shopping at Goodwill especially at the transcanada location. A branch where you can find a very friendly, accomodating and helpful staff like Manjeet and Neetu

Manjeet and Neetu showed exceptional customer service always greeting customers, showing a great positive attitude definitely recommend this location.

This is a nice store but I had an experience today that soured me on it. I walked in with a bag and a newer Indian male security officer I didn't see before told, not asked but told me to leave it at the front. I obliged of course but throughout my visit I couldn't help but notice all of the women and poc's wearing longer clothing, burkas, purses, large handbags being allowed to keep theirs with them. When I left and got my bag back from the nice cashier I didn't see the security officer demanding they leave their bags at the front. They actually had their eyes down and were scrolling on their phone as people walked in. I (a white male) like the store and have been coming here often even making donations, so I will return, but it would be nice if this were discussed with the officer in question and/or their employers. This was on May 1 2023 around 5: 45 pm

Scam Alert! NOT A REAL CHARITY/NON PROFIT! The CEO makes roughly $500,000/year. How is that non-profit? Bring your used good to The MCC, a charity that doesn't want to profit off your donations and people in need.

I have been cleaning out my items, downsizing due to retirement, and have been donating to this store. I don't know anything about its programs but I like the guys (usually) that are in back taking the donations. They usually greet me right away and say hi and we exchange pleasantries. It makes me feel that they are doing good things and my items will go to good use. I wandered through the store and it seemed to be a good place to seek out treasures so I give this store a high 3 star rating.

Probably the most high priced thrift store I've ever been too. Considering everything is donated why would a used blender be $40? Or a old kids t-shirt be $10?

A store where you can find all essential things for your home. Clothes, electrical things, paintings, hoke decor, etc. They have displayed things very well and organized.

Very busy at all stores on this Saturday! Lots of cars coming n going but no long lineups in the stores n they had everything I wanted to get!

We go here often. No complaints, we’ve found some cool items here! I have to wear scrubs for work and I don’t find them at other thrift stores very often but Goodwill always has scrubs.

I’m finding the prices to be absurd lately, they just pull prices out of their behinds. I've spent lots of money here and will not be returning. I've purchased some items last week for 8.50 and this week the same item is $25. When asking staff about it their reply is this one is more collectible then that one or its not the same one. Item in question costs 30$ at walmart. Will not be returning.

If there was a 0 star I would give them that! Shop at other thrift stores that welcome ALL customers, masked or unmasked! I have never had an issue anywhere until I step foot in this place! It is businesses like this that are responsible for dividing Canadians. This "private" business, as they call it, does not deserve our patronage! Shame on you! I will never darken your doorways again!

While most of Canada are lifting ALL Mandates you continue to harass your customers in front of other customers that don't adhere to YOUR rules. Again, it is businesses like yours that are dividing people in Canada. You speak for the minority of businesses now. Most appreciate moving on from this! BTW Masks are ineffective. Care to prove otherwise? My hard earned money will be spent elsewhere.

Unfortunately gone down hill. Used to be very good with kind, helpful staff, but now, the worst service I have encountered in a long time. Rude, loud, obnoxious miserable staff that want to harass and embarrass you. Avoid at all costs.

They provide affordable options for those that need them and recycle much of what is not reusable. What a fantastic mission this organization is on.

Was way overpriced. We werent alowed to use the change rooms because od covid. However we were allowed to purchase clothing, take it home and try them on at home (where covid cant live) as tags are left on, you have the reciept, you can bring them back for exchange only, no refunds. Once youve made a purchase, its forever. I will never go there again and would others to do the same.

Drove there last week to drop bags of donations and was shocked that
they were thrown in two big cardboard boxes outside the door. I thought the boxes were garbage as they were wide open with nothing to cover them with the snow soon to arrive. Do they have too much stuff? If so, why don't they tell us so we can take donations somewhere else. Tried to phone them to no avail. They don't take any calls even the corporate office?

No textbooks or self help. This place is becoming less useful as it caters to the rich.

I actually have noticed large stacks of nice textbooks at the donation door and the fact that they are absolutely not going near the bookshelf. There is something changed with your system and the books are not showing up. Ask anyone who used to buy books here!

This location leverages multiple dodgy deceptive sales practices against unwary vulnerable customers. Service personnel appear scripted to rapidly talk at patrons and take their money by applying lousy egregious policies that are disclosed purposely too late. Greater gently informative humanizing care is expected of this non-profit serving the low-income class of the surrounding communities. This place is disappointing and unimpressive, and is deserving of being taught improving practices of true customer service. Too many persons struggling amidst the low income class leave feeling ripped off, both of youth and elderly. Perhaps worst of all is their making excuses defending their predatory sales practices, or variably imposing silent treatment.

Never know what you're going to find. Growing kids need clothes constantly. Thanks to Goodwill.

Considering that the clothes are donations I don't see a problem exchanging without a receipt if the tags are still attached as far as I'm concerned that's scamming/fraud. You didn't pay for the used clothing in the first place.
Not to mention most of the unwashed clothing is more expensive than new clothing at Walmart.
Makes it VERY hard to want to support.

Last trip to a Goodwill store for me.

This used to be my favorite thrift store but since covid started the prices have gone up and I am not happy with the covid protocols they have in place. The change rooms are barricaded, you can't try on any clothes and everything is final sale. At the same time the staff seem to be so bored that all the clothes are sorted by colour. Why not use the extra staff to monitor and sanitize the change rooms so customers can try on things? Most other retail stores do it.

Always a score at this place. Huge store with 50 percent discounts on different colored tags each week.

Good thrift store. I really like some of the unique children and adult t shirts I can find here. They also have a vast book section that I can always find tons of interesting novels to delve into. Great place to find some interesting pieces.

One of my favorite thrift stores in town. Great selection and prices. Merchandise is usually pretty solid too.

Great little thrift store, I always enjoy going to a hunt for a deal or two.

Ample parking.
Clean change rooms.
Items for same are in good to very good shape. Rare to see old broken junk items.
Staff are always friendly when I go.

Awsome stamp program for further discounts on an already discount store. Clean and good space, variety, personnel, and prices.

My wife loves this place. Plus they usually have enough little things to keep me interested while she looks around.

I've found some great quality tennis racquets for $2-$3 here.

Went a bought a few things, came home and noticed that some of the video games I bought from there had NO GAMES INSIDE just an empty freaking case!

They should atleast check to see if the games in there before bringing it to the counter and selling it to me!

My experience was positive at this goodwill store. I was there for a donation and I found the staff was friendly and helpful. This place is fairly big and seems to be organized. Moreover, it was pretty neat and clean. I would definitely recommend this place.

Finds Galore and it feels good spending your money because your helping the community directly.

Have found some very useful instruction books on my area of interest over the last year, as well as some wildlife prints for my botanist niece. But it's hit or miss, sometimes they have what you want, other times not. But overall a clean well maintained store given it's a thrift shop depending on donations.

Not just a place rare you can buy cheap items, which of course you can. But definitely a place to find some good bargains

Gently used items you can't even tell their second hand. My friend kathrine and I love going secondhand store shopping. It's better for the environment if we buy secondhand 99% of our clothes come from secondhand stores

Over the years, I've bought $ several useful things here. Sometimes $ prices are a little too $ high.

This place used to be a lot better, honestly. Recently I haven't been able to find good deals. And for some reason the sizing of clothes are way off, like they're not supposed to be in this section and it's not like one or two items either. I also was followed by one of the staff and it was actually really uncomfortable.though most of the staff is really kind and nice. They do have those fifty percent off sales on certain colour tagged items. But their "boutique" is lacking. Before you could find great brand names items in the normal sections but now they're in the boutique.however now you see anything in the boutique.not all of it is even brand named.
