I’ve only had positive experiences with United cabs. They honour the fixed rate to the airport which is reasonable. This last time I had several heavy suitcases and the driver picked them up and put them in the trunk. Also helped me unload them at the airport.
United is my go to cab company. Now if they could only remember to pick me up at the side door and not the front, they would be perfect for me.

Yesterday I took a taxi from Walden to somerset Ctrain station due to rain and my experience was not good, but I normally stopped riding taxi due to the fact that some of the drivers of this cab will take you to the longest route possible to overcharge you. It’s wrong keeping people for long period in their car just to try to make a lot of money off from one person.

They used to be good but not anymore. Last week I called twice automated to my home address (I was waiting outside my apartment building for the cab to come. I waited from 8: 30 to 8: 54 for a cab to come). Third time I called them and this lady said she is sending a cab and the cab came at 9: 10pm, my boarding was at 10: 14pm. Thankfully I reached on time but never calling this cab anymore.

Taxi took us extra ride around the block, so that he can charge us more, and he dropped us on the wrong side, when I called the company to complain they put me on a hold. I won’t recommend

Very bad services. We are tourist with our bags full of food waiting in a petro canada parking lot and the Driver call us after 10 min to say it gonna take 20 more. We cancelled and took a uber way more friendly

0/10 experience. I am still waiting for a refund or someone to return my call from a cab driver picking up someone else and charging me the full price. Then this weekend I ordered a cab and while I Deerfoot (I was watching on the app) he started his meter and then cancelled the drive, resulting in a charge for me. Good kick in the teeth when I got a follow up text letting me know my ride was at a discounted rate. When I called to figure out what was going on and asked to speak to a manager, I immediately got told I didn't know what I was talking about and that I wasn't listening. After finally "understanding" she told me I would have to call back myself to get my refund on Monday. When I tried calling back on a weekday last time something similar happened and they stole money, the person on the phone couldn't give me a number to call as I wasn't calling the right one. No one should ever use their app, nor pay for their cab with this company before completing their ride. Another issue we've seen is the cab drivers call and ask where you're going and if they don't like your answer they just hang up and cancel the ride. Unreliable

Two different drivers tried to swindle me!

They will swindle you once they sense you're not from around here.

The meter was reading $ 7.70
And the taxi dude typed in his machine $15.50. (like what?)

I questioned him on why the meter showed $ 7.70 and his machine was showing $15.50.

I paid the $ 7.70 and I left!

Dishonest!

Ordered a cab and was told it would be 15 minutes. When it didn’t show after half an hour I called back and was rudely told someone stole the cab. When I asked to speak to a manager I was

Reviews to the driver. The driver did help put our stroller in the trunk, but then rushed to get in the car before the 2 adults and child were buckled. He sped out of the parking lot so fast that a car honked at him and he made us feel unsafe (rushing to get though). I did give minimal tip as when we arrived home, i said i have debit to pay and he didnt say anything, so i opened the doors to hop out and come out to the front window and pay. I paid and asked him to pop the trunk so my boyfriend could grab our stuff. He continued to stare at the machine obviously annoyed at the little tip and we had to ask politely 4x to get into the trunk. When taking off he turned around in the middle of a street (and came scarily close to us). Not a good experience at all.

Very dissapointed. Called in advance to have them pick up an order. The driver showed up 4min early and just left, presumably unwilling to wait. As a result my son's birthday party had no food. Couldn't order through an app as it was too early in the morning. Brutal.

A very lackluster experience from the airport to home.

Since it's been forever since I've used a cab I thought I would give it a try. I gave the cab the address and said I'm new in town take me to the location.

Next I know we are on a wild trip taking indirect routes. What topped it off was arguing with me that there's such thing as A and B avenues and not streets.

It was great for entertainment. I don't think I'll be using cab services anytime soon, but at least i validated the usual hustles are still real.

3/5 for the hustle. I did eventually get home.

We paid online when booking, then the driver in the car tried to make me pay again by putting the same amount I had paid via the app as the tip amount when he handed me the machine. It was a pretty bad attempt but just a heads up.

I ordered a cab but the cab driver never picked me up. It said on the app that the trip was completed after a while. I called the next day to say that the driver never picked me up and that no one told me that he wouldn’t be showing up as I waited for a while thinking he would show up before finally calling an Uber. The lady on the phone told me that if happened yesterday and not to worry about it and then hung up on me.

Worse service, I had a cab reserved for my family to go to the airport at 5: 30am. They call me 10 mins before my shecduled time and say there's no available vehicles. They screwed my entire family over and we missed our flight. The customer rep also was extremely rude and hung up. I can't believe this service and never recommend them. They can't be trusted!

I called the hotline for the United cab and the auto machine keeps telling me you are now being transferred to an operator, there was a long phone ringing and no answer, again they said thanks for your patience and now being transferred again, and the same as before, I was in this situation for more than 6 minutes, so I hanged up and called Checkers, they showed up in less than 10 minutes!

It's almost like you are flipping a coin when you take this taxi company because you have a 50/50 chance of getting a great driver who is polite and very helpful and makes you feel comfortable on your ride to your destination. Or you can end up with a driver who doesn't even talk one word to you is very ignorant and doesn't help you at all with any groceries and makes your entire ride extremely awkward and uncomfortable. So I guess if you want to take the risk but I tend to use other services now.

Terrible company! Dispatch is incompetent - drivers are incompetent. I literally watched some other person get in my cab and the driver was too scared or too stupid to say anything. He drove off and left me standing there. Called again, the second driver came, pulled up, and while I was gathering my grocery bags, he drove away and didn't come back.

Tried to get a cab and the dispatcher was very unpleasant to talk to. If you work in the customer service industry you should be thinking about how your “customer service” affects people. Horrible dispatcher, nothing but attitude when we were just asking easy questions.

Today i call for the taxi and it says 7 minutes and after 15 minutes i tried to call driver and he did not pick up the phone as i was getting late for my work. Then i called the company and they said they tell the driver to move. And i got the taxi after 20-25 minutes

DO NOT use the app, they will take your money and not create a booking …. It must be some glitch they haven’t worked out. This has happened to me twice. When I called the first time they told me They would send a car to me but that I would have to pay in the car, which I did, and they’d refund my money. I NEVER got my money, it’s July 8th, this happened on June 20th. Plenty of time to refund me. When I call they “transfer” me to a line that hangs up. They’re avoiding paying me back even tho I paid 3 times for one ride that I got! Ridiculous, terrible service. Really really disappointed. If you use this company just call, don’t pay ahead. What a mess …. I’m now reporting a complaint to the city as another company told me that’s all I can do.

Today I had bad customer service. The driver was very rude. I called taxi at 10: 40 pm and the taxi came 11: 30 Pm when I already took yellow cab after waiting for long time on my feet. The driver called me and I tried to explain to him that I took another taxi and he hanged up on me.

Other guys took 45 minutes to dispatch a cab without warning. These guys had someone there in 15 minutes with no issue. Ride was a few bucks cheaper as well. Only cab company I'm using from now on.

First situation was when a cab was ordered for my daughter (pre-paid through the app), she was notified that the driver was there and comes out to the cab driving away - someone else jumped into the cab and the driver didn't confirm name or the location the person was going. Yet, we were charged for the ride. Called and asked what was going on and was told "too bad, you'll have to order another cab". When asked about the charges, was given the run around for several days,
Ordered another cab today HOURS before needed to ensure that my daughter can get to where she needed to be for an appointment. When checking on the status, I was informed that the ride was cancelled. Called dispatch and they simply said "sorry, there are no cabs for you" even though we booked HOURS before. When we stated that we booked a cab hours before to ensure that one was available we were told "that's too bad. Sorry".
When a cab is ordered hours in advance, you figure it would be given priority especially considering it is pre-booked. To have cancelled last minute and dispatch provides the excuse and the attitude of "not my problem", there is an issue.
This is the reason that UBER is in business. This is the reason that people are looking for alternatives to the traditional cab companies.
This is beyond frustrating - IF YOU CAN AVOID USING THIS COMPANY, PLEASE AVOID. Others may be a little more $$ but you may receive better, on time service.
**Please note: this company has been contacted SEVERAL times in an attempt to correct the situations listed above and nothing has changed, forcing a 1 star review - would give less than 1 star if given the opportunity. **

The cab drivers themselves are great. Booking a cab is different. The operator I had was grumpy and dismissive, they want you to use the app but the app is buggy and doesn't work, it just works better to call.

I needed to get a covid test and I don’t drive. The company was extremely accommodating and the driver was fantastic: well mannered, patient, and friendly. Thank you for providing this service for those of us who need to get tested and don’t drive.

Got into altercation on one of their driver. Although it was my fault because I did not move after green light was on for about 10 seconds or less. The driver honk at me like crazy which was understandable. The only thing that made me upset was he drove fast just to b3 close to me and started cursing at me and showing his middle finger. He shouted at me, cursing and all. This driver should learn how to be nice and not aggressive. Too bad I was not able to get his body number but hopefully they should retrained there drivers.

Mr Gaganjit did an extramile for his service, my friend forgot some of her personal items in my place and he turn around the taxi and came back to pick it up. So grateful and thankful for his excellent service likewise for the staff who received my call and urgently relayed the message to Mr Gaganjit. You make your company proud of having such nice and excellent employee like Mr Gaganjit.
Seldom to have a best service like this. He deserve to be complimented.

He was quick to arrive and I LOVE the tracking feature! It let's you know how much time you have to shop Excellent feature. Sigh but I am disappointed how the driver was complaining that I needed help bringing my groceries to my door. I hurt my knee, so was unable to bring all my groceries to my door in one trip. I asked if he could get the last bag and I would meet him 1/2 way. He did, but felt he needed to let me know that I should use cloth bags with handles so I could have carried more at once. What happened to customer service with a smile. (Ps. My ride was 2 mins from store to door)

I wasn't satisfied with the Driver, proved unprofessional due to the following reasons:
1. Immediately we packed the shopping into his car, and I went to return the trolley. He moves and my wife asked him to stop that she is leaving her husband, normally he supported asking before he moves.
2. I showed him my address and start taken me to other places to increase the distance.

He was missing Panjab and English together. I told him that am keeping a record of what he's doing he said am not taking the money and carried me for free.

I was traveling alone with my 3yr old son and after nearly 24hrs on a plane, both of us where exhausted & ready to go home. I got this cab from the airport & I did not notice the driver 's name but he was a tall & strong Sikh gentleman!
He took over my overloaded trolley from the entrance & let me hold my son's hand to the car. He was very patient with my son in the car and when we got home, he was kind enough to help me with my heavy bags up the stairs and to the front door. I didn't even get a chance to tip him & I deeply regret that I couldn't. Thank you so much for your kindness Sir, I feel a little less exhausted now!

Left a phone behind in a United Cab. Dispatchers were not able to contact the drive despite calling within 2 minutes of being dropped off. Lost and found service has had no communication in 36+ hours. Unacceptable service.

We had booked a cab with them a week in advance. They did not appear at the requested time. When we called the cab company, they told us they could cancel the request for us, or get a cab for us in half an hour. This was on a Saturday morning, so traffic would not be a problem. In the past they used to be good though.

The cab driver was very friendly and knowledgeable, clean cab, and the highlight is I left my phone accidentally in the cab and when I came back from my vacation, the office had the phone with them and they passed it to me after verifying it was mine. Great job.

The driver was friendly, though his driving wasn't reassuring.he wasn't focusing. As we approached my destination, I said it was the next turn on the left - was as if he wasn't listening.then I tried to direct him to the business I was going to and he drove to the right instead of left

The fares on the app are not accurate. I contacted them after noticing the fare I was charged was different than what the app provided, and the operator chose to lecture me on how a cab meter works. I was told that any stops at red lights are tacked onto the fare the app provides. Why would the app even give a fare when the customer still has to be cognizant of any red light stop times on top of the fare displayed?

If I could give minus 5 stars I would! Worst company and customer service I’ve ever dealt with for a taxi company! I prebooked a van that could take a wheelchair a week prior to needing the ride and even called the day of service to confirm everything Is booked right etc and they confirmed it was. But 15 minutes prior to pickup I received a call saying the van that would be picking me up was all the way by the airport! Why the hell did customer service confirm if that was not the case! Do not use this company! Checker cabs are awesome and a life saver!

Booked a van for 12: 45pm the day before our flight. After waiting for 10 minutes we decided to call and the operator informed us that despite our reservation there were no vans in our area, and they would instead send out an SUV.

Very unprofessional; Not only did they not uphold our booking and not only were they not on time, but they waited for us to call them instead of notifying us about the situation. Extremely dissatisfied with this taxi service, would not recommend.

The driver was driving like crazy. I was trying to buckle myself and my son and he drove off before we were safely buckled and was basically tossing us around in the back seat. I asked him several times to calm his driving down and he did not listen. Cab #402

The cab driver I had was absolutely terrible to the point I was almost in tears by the time I got home. #1290 should be off the road and not allowed to drive anyone ever. He is very unsafe and I dont know if he has a death wish, but I certainly don't.
Just awful.
And nothing will be done so dont bother apologizing on here Because I complained about this driver twice and got no apology over the phone and I still see this maniac out driving so this company does absolutely nothing with complaints. All lip service.

Yesterday I called United Cabs for the first time. So impressed with their services. I’ve got a cab in 5 min, the driver was very professional (taxi #908). Thank you, the operator and the driver, you are doing a great job! Will call United Cabs again.

I was quoted a flat rate as per their website from the airport and even asked for it when I called dispatch.
The driver charged me $20 more than the flat rate as well as turning off the meter so that I could not see that he was not charging me the flat rate. When I let the company know this they said it was because I “told the driver to take Stony Trail” when what actually happened was the driver asked me if I wanted to take Stony and I replied with “whatever is fastest”. Of course I was still under the impression I was getting a flat rate.

I took a second cab a week later to the airport where the driver actually charged me the flat rate and clearly displayed it was at $31 when I got into the cab at the start of my ride.

So the company lied to me about the reason as they were trying to cover for the first driver, who was obviously trying to overcharge me when I had requested a “flat fare” and he decided to run the meter the full ride (and hide it) instead, and charge me $50 while keeping the meter blacked out so I didn’t realize what he was doing until it was too late.

I bet the city of Calgary would be very interested in what some (not all) of the drivers for this company are doing by knowingly overcharging customers. They would probably also be very interested to k ow that the company management is covering it up with lies.

Guess it’s back to Uber as with Uber at least it’s a guaranteed price.

The drivers DON'T WEAR MASKS!
Today was the 3rd time in less than 30 days, that a driver has picked me up not wearing a mask. Each time I've had to stand outside the taxi, ask them to put on their mask, and then wait on the road until they put it on. Today when asked, the driver put on a see-through thin bandana instead of a face mask so because I'm immunocompromised I had to refuse service and walk.

I had a cab today #137 at 9: 20a.m on Tuesday. The cab driver didn’t have a mask and refused to wear one and said he didn’t have to wear one. He was clearly sick with a cold and was sniffling and snorting the whole drive. He handed me the POS machine and I asked for hand sanitizer and he didn’t even have that and was grumpy I asked. Hopefully he doesn’t have Covid-19. Gross experience, take an UBER.

The cab arrived early thats good to me and he conversates well but the driver is not wearing mask even though there's a shield separating us. Isn’t a protocol still to wear a mask when you are our driving public vehicle? I asked the driver if he has a mask he told me he only wears it if the passenger asked. I hope you do action on this. It was a taxi, we gave the address in downtown Calgary to the driver where we wanted to go, we are not from this city, we were visiting Calgary, so we aRe not familiar with directions in Calgary. The driver dropped us off in a crossing in the middle of downtown and said he was not sure but our destination was one of the 4 buildings in that intersection. Then he pointed at one building and said it was that one, but it was not. We had to walk and walk to finally find our destination.

Its 50/50 whether your gonna get a friendly driver or a rude one.more often then not there rude.then when you don't tip cause there rude they give you dirty looks.well be nicer and ill tip.heres a tip customer service is everything.
