Calgary West Central Primary Care Network

One of the nurses (or receptionist) raised her voice at me when I came in and let them know I was there for a referral from my doctor. She told me”we need to call you, you don’t just show up. That’s not how this works”. I myself am a 35 year old nurse and am disgusted at how we were treated. I don’t deserve to be chastised like a child when I am sick and pregnant. It has been 4 days and I still have not received a phone call although they confirmed they received my referral.

I have been to PCN a few times when I could not get into my GP. I have to say that I have only had great experiences with the Drs. That I have seen. Today I must give a shout out to Dr. Andrew Jun. His patience time and knowledge was very appreciated. He takes the time to listen to his patients and does not rush in diagnosing. He listens to his patients. That is a great quality for a Dr.to have! Thank you!

This was the best doctors office experience I've ever had. The staff and doctor were absolutely outstanding in helping my daughter. This facility sets the bar for what others should be! Thank you!

Edit: what at first came off as unprofessional, I later realized was only protocol. The issue here came strictly from miscommunication and misunderstanding. I sincerely appreciate that I was reached out to after my initial complaint as I felt we were able to see each other’s viewpoint and my concerns were clarified which was especially important to me. I have chosen to remove my initial complaint with respect to the doctor and Calgary West Central Primary Care Centre, as my case simply boiled down to miscommunication & misunderstanding. I understand the health care system is very demanding on its own and what with the ongoing virus and constant changes in protocol, I can only image it causes further strain. Thus, my only comment would be to perhaps take the time to ensure as patients we are aware of what our appointments entail (especially when we are young adults and new to this) and what our doctors can / cannot do for us, including any protocols that might impact our meeting. I thank you again for your understanding and for taking the time to reach out to me.

I went today for i&d with local freezing and it was the very best service. I am so glad I was referred to this exceptionally clean center so quickly by my family doctor when his clinic closed earlier today due to staff member testing positive for covid.

Noku helped me today and she was so friendly and helpful. She explained everything in simple sentences and was attentive to my follow-up questions. Thanks Noku!

Staff are super friendly and helpful. I had some emergency last week, thanks to the girls here I’m all good now.

The staff was very understanding and friendly. Dr. R. Walker is one of the best Dr.in the city. She is very caring, professional and knowledgeable.
