Callingwood on 170th Apartments

So far I’ve loved living here I’ve had very little issues within my own apartment the only downside is there’s only one washer and dryer on my floor and it’s impossible to do laundry lived here for about 5 months and have managed to do it maybe 4 times and that’s at like 3-4am. But overall it’s a good place to live

One of the worst managed apartments I’ve lived in. No security, rarely clean and people have zero respect. I’ve called and called about people blasting their music at unreasonable times and nothing has been done. I do not need to hear or feel others music at 5am in the morning. Just awful.

Keep looking for another place. This complex is bad. Bedbugs, sketchy homeless people scanning the hallways at night, rent is WAY to high for a place like this. Apartment is old and no landlord around until rent is due.

Not safe or clean and its noisy 24/7. People knocking at your door begging for money! Underwear in the parking lot.

Marjorie Overton is the manager who served me. I found she was very friendly, polite and knowledgeable.

Honestly, 100% the best apartment complex I've ever lived in, and probably one of the BETTER management companies in the city!

I just moved in this place and I'm disappointed in how I was approached by property management. I'm being asked to pay for a power bill that was for before moving time and also I have been in this place for less than 2 months and I have cockroaches and most of my furniture is new! I'm here trying to save you headaches, so do your homework before trying to move in this appointment location.

Marge was amazing the whole 3 years I’ve lived there, had no issues, always took care of things if anything need to be fixed etc.

The apartments are also close to all amenities!

Management very very shady, full of lies and conniving ways, do not trust the Management they will screw you over and make lies up in order to satisfy and meet their agendas. Some tenants they rent to are very questionable, drunks sleeping in entrance ways, people always trying to break into the apartments or asking to be let in. So much more!

I've been here for almost 5 years and I have no complaints. Nice management and the best part it's affordable, specially under these hard times. I also like this location cause all amenities are within walking distance. Also main bus routes are outside your door. I recommend this place to anyone that needs a place. Can't stress enough about the fact management are very friendly and willing to help in these hard times and also if there's anything wrong with your suite they're quick to fix it.

I’ve been living here almost 4 years and I love the neighborhood and the people living here are respectful tenants, and if anything needs to be fixed it is usually done in a prompt fashion. The staff is very friendly and are there for your needs.

Great experience with management and maintenance. They were always readily available and communication was great.

You will get a nice clean unit when you get started here and the landlord does any maintenance you need whenever you ask. The grounds are nice and well kept, summer and winter. The parking lot is swept and well lit. It’s a good location and it’s a nice place to call home.

Apartments need alot of repairs, people in lobby or hallways after hours and weekends, smoking pot and drinking. Hallways need to be repaired (cracked walls, painting, new rugs) For the high amount of rent we pay, should be looked after much better

Lived here years ago. Laundry was broken for months and had to use a different floor's machine's. Never got my damage deposit back

I just moved back here again and I'm happy I did. My place is beautiful and so much cleaner. And my so is much more happy as well as he can actually go outside and be with his friends. And the ladies in the office and the maintenance are always on top of things. And my other son is moving into a bachelor and it is huge and beautiful he is so happy from where he was living to this new place

I’ve lived in a few apartment buildings over the years, and can honestly say that it’s been a pleasure and breath of fresh air living here. I’ve been here a little over a year and have had zero problems. The management is amazing, Jennifer and marge are both amazing ladies and if there ever was a small issue they are always quick to address my concerns and do there all to make sure their tenants feel comfortable - they go above and beyond. Also when I moved in, my suite was completely renovated and move in ready. Which was nice for me, because some of the other apartments I had moved into in the past, hadn’t been this simple and stress-free moving in. The building is regularly being cleaned, they are just on top of it and I love that! Best management I’ve ever had hands down. Good job Kelson Group and Callingwood Apartments on 170th!

Manager Jennifer is professional and good at her job but it's the building and the head office needs to make some major improvements.

BED BUGS AND POOR MANAGEMENT
Bed Bugs: Recurrent! Bed bugs live within the walls and come out for a walk when they like. Cheap company trying to save money rather than fighting it, they are always inspecting rather than treating. No privacy since the bed bugs crew comes often for inspection. Buildings have bed bugs since summer of 2017.
Management: A team of no brainers. May be they need some schooling on property management.
Maintenance team: Always late or doesn''t come at all.
Hallways: Always dirty and stinky. How will bed bugs not be comfy and moving to different apartments.
Environment: Homeless dudes roaming the premises. Be prepared to see one emerging from inside the dumpster.
It's better to be homeless than live here. Total waste of money. Don't make that mistake please. If there was an award for Best west side ghetto they gonna take it for sure. One star just because I cann't post with zero star.
