The workers are not hounding you or following you as you look around, which I love. They are helpful and really available when I needed help. A lady named Alissa assisted me when I needed shoe sizes for myself and mum. She was delightful!
Great store but no public washrooms makes it uninviting and posdibly hostile. I'm spending hundreds of dollars but I xabtbuse your washroom? Do better.
Closes at 6 on week days, even during holiday shopping. Terrible management decisions like this will put this place out of business.
The staff is awesome though and the inventory is excellent (for my tastes at least). They just need some better high level management making more sensible decisions.
Staff was so friendly and helpful. Never been here before. Items seemed a tad expensive as I would compare some items to other stores. With that being said, they did have some really good sales on items. They get a 5 still. I really felt welcomed and all my questions were answered.
I was a bit worried it change alot with the name change but it still a great place. Seems they got rid of some of the lower end cheeper stuff but brought in more quality items. Stop in for a tour!
Was served by Will. Such an asset to the Breathe team. Best shoe buying experience ever! So good to shop at a store where staff really know their products.
Great store! I have shopped here for years! Well before the name change. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great products, and they can help you pick the right backpack for your needs, and the right fit. I will remain a regular customer in perpetuity
Got curbside pickup except I got the wrong order and ended up having to go inside to correct the mistake. Overall my experience with Breathe has been good.
Every time I go here, the staff are always helpful, they look around for the exact sizes you need, and they LOVE dogs in the store! Seriously. If your store doesnt allow dogs, you are missing out.
I've been so impressed with Breathe/formerly Campers Village and they products that they carry, that they should be everyone's "go to" outdoor store.
Forgot my iPhone in the change room went back later and a girl working there said she checked the lost and found and where they also put valuables, I get a phone call seriously OVER 4 months later literally, saying Teresa we have your phone it was in our safe you can pick it up, I’m like really you didn’t find it in your money safe for literally months, they didn’t offer me a discount nothing, and I was out $800 dollers cause so much time went by and I had to sign up for a new iPhone from Telus, funny thing is my phone had ID in it and I’m in their computer as a previous customer the whole time and the best part I’m an old employee who used to work there seriously the manager needs to be reviewed just saying cause I know the procedure for checking lost and found, safe check and another area needs to be checked
Great staff and knowledge not as big of selection as MEC but product line are. Equivalent if not better in some area friendly staff have a real FORD style business the only thing Is gear is above average prices compared to box stores with the same product but not a deal breaker. Improved on the must have a receipt would prefer an email option in the future if going paperless is still the trend I wish we could do half stars on this lol
I've been shopping at Campers Village for years, alternating between the south and west locations. It's always my go-to place for any outdoor gear or apparel - the staff are always super friendly, helpful, and knowledgable and spend the time to truly help you find what you need and what will work for you. They've offered amazing workshops and events over the years, discount on Parks Canada passes, and a birthday discount! This location is small but mighty!
Alright, first off this is locally owned, second they have excellent and friendly staff who helped us a great deal, from fitting hiking boots to backpack fitment and sleeping pads. Don’t let their size fool you, they have all-of-the-things. Added bonus, they aren’t a giant soulless corporate entity. Now sometimes shopping at those places is unavoidable, however Campers is my first stop and often my last stop and I thank you guys for doing so much to outfit our family. Shop local.
They had shock cord to repair tent poles. You would think this is a common hiking issue and other stores would carry it, right?
Nope, I went to 4 stores and Campers Village was the only one to have it. Major points to them.
They also have a sign letting you know they allow dogs. Not sure if the other camping stores are as accepting of the four legged campers. Needless to say campers village will be getting more of my business.
My wife and I went to campers village yesterday to see what they had for good walking shoes. The staff was very patient and helpful (Nate). We left with great shoes.
I came into this location specifically and was BLOWN AWAY at the hospitality of everyone working! It felt like a little family in there, one gentlemen (sorry I forgot your name) was even coming up and making jokes as I "addictively " shopped around with my gf lol.
I was super interested in the BIO light that was on sale and the manager Sarah was not only knowledgable, but she even opened up the box so I could see how it worked before buying it! Fantastic service and I look forward to coming back!
I love the old Campers Village which had less clothing and shoes and more of camping supplies. If you need camping clothing then this place has lots of it. If you are looking for supplies then you might be out of luck. They do have some newer gadgets but not much. The west end location has more room and more supplies but still not near what it was years ago.
They don't honor mask exemptions and try to force them on you, comes to show they also don't care about people's rights setforth in the charter and discriminate against people that can't wear them do to personal reasons protected by PIPEDA
Awesome place and friendly staff. All members of their team were willing to help in every area of their store. They also have a great selection for all your outdoor needs!
Everyone was friendly, wearing masks and incredible about cleaning areas. I was greeted and asked if I needed help right away and nobody was pushy. I'll be coming back.
I highly recommend Camper's Village south. Tyler is amazing! He is patient and knowledgeable. We came in to find hiking boots for our daughter and he gave her all the options, brought out many for her to try and gave us all the info we needed to make an informed decision we are comfortable with. I wish we had started our hiking boot search here, it would have saved time from the other stores we tried and didn't receive any help or guidance. We will be back!
My puppy loves this location just as much as I do! She hates coming out with me but she always gets so excited when we stop by here. A huge plus is how all the staff are so great with dogs and every single one of them is able to pronounce my puppy’s name correctly. I really like the selection here as well. Yes, I could probably get my hiking needs somewhere closer to home. And yes, there is also another Camper’s Village in the city that’s easier to get to. But when the customer service makes even your dog fall in love with something other than food it definitely solidifies store loyalty.
Always friendly knowledgeable staff. High end products that mimic you get what you pay for.never had a bad experience with service or product i have purchased from CV.
Great experience so far I am in the market for a new outdoor store since MEC has gone completely upside down. This store had no unwelcoming military security guard at the entrance the staff are welcoming and just helpful enough and they don’t mind if you browse.
The products are of high quality (you get what you pay for life lesson) and it has a more local feeling to it. I would love to see local products highlighted along side the made in China products.
I haven’t had to return a thing so I can’t comment on that aspect.
I just want to say I was blown away by the quality of service today. Tyler, one of your reps, was so kind carrying everything out to my car, and very helpful in locating other odds and ends I was looking for. Honestly the entire staff were too notch. I really appreciated that everyone was wearing a mask, and the other COVID-19 precautions. When other stores have seemingly forgotten we are living through a worldwide pandemic, Campers Village obviously takes the safety of their patrons and staff seriously. Thank you so much!
Bought this griddle and in 1 single use it's all rusted not worth a penny. I had seasoned the griddle very well at 175°c with vegetable oil and wiped clean when cooled before my first use. Camp Chef 16 x 24 Pro Griddle SKU CACSG90 $139.98
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good quality merchandise. Good selection. They have a travel area that has a lot of handy items for travelers. I recommend this store.
Helpful, knowledgeable staff. Offered facts and personal experience opinions. Even offered suggestions from the clearance rack. No pressure, no upsell.
My husband went there to find winter boots during the friends and family event this past weekend and recieved zero help. There were 2 other customers in store and 2 associates working the footwear section. This location used to have knowledgable and helpful staff, now they are barely trained and disinterested. Very disappointed, we will not be returning.
Good service here and great product. I personally prefer the co-op though, since they have more robust sustainability practices and warranty. I use this store as a back-up if my primary source doesn’t have what I need.
It really is a village of camping supplies and goods. The people here know their stuff, or they are really good at BSing. I recommend this place to all. All. All.
Love this store. We never pass through the south side without stopping in! Well stocked (love all the food!) and the staff are super knowledgeable AND friendly, which is the best combination. They always give our pup a warm reception and treats too, which just makes them even more awesome!
