Canada Diagnostic Centres - Westgate

So I went into CDC in the Westgate Clinic today.
Not a soul was in there except the girl behind the desk. I said, wow no one is here, she said yes it's quiet. So I asked to make an appointment for a steroid injection that I had a requisition for. She told me I had to call the phone number on the requisition form which she of course highlighted so I knew which number to call. (I know which # I need to call)
But I was in the building at a doctor's appointment in the same building prior to going there so thought I'd just go there to book instead of calling that number.
I said well I have come in here before and booked my appointments, why can't I do that now? She told me, well because I'm by myself.
But.there was not another person in there at approximately 9: 40 A: M.
Went to my car and phoned to make an appointment. Just ridiculous that she would not just make the appointment for me.
It's not the first time at this clinic that I have had shoddy customer service. And if I didn't need to go here I definitely wouldn't bother, but I have always liked the doctors that have given me my injections at this clinic.

This was not my first time at Westgate Diagnostic Imaging and I have never had anything but a pure positive experience and the staff have been friendly, positive & professional and made the whole experience positive. I could be going to another center but I would rather drive the distance and be with these professionals.

Beautiful facility. Appointment was within 10 minutes of the scheduled time. Front staff was friendly and the lady doing the test was amazing. Highly Recommended.

The staff were very clear in explaining the process for my procedure. I was apprehensive and anticipated the injection to be painful but Dr. Hoa was fantastic, making the whole experience so easy and positive. Thank you to all the staff for their professionalism and courtesy.

I was booked at the Westgate clinic for a number of screening and baseline tests. I was booked within a week of making the call. The booking agent was pleasant and helpful and the front desk staff was professional and pleasant. I had Joanne as my technologist. She was professional and knowledgeable and kept the mood light throughout the procedures.
My only complaint was the gown that barely fit. I had to go back and forth between departments and feared I may traumatize someone if I fell out of it. Joanne was helpful with that and assisted me in keeping as covered as possible, but the worry of keeping it closed definitely brought the overall anxiety of the appointment up a notch.

In the past year I have had occasion to visit CDC Westgate a number of times. I have always been able to get appointments within a short time of asking. The service from the front staff, technologists and radiologist have always been excellent. I particularly appreciated that when, on one occasion, the results were unexpected, Dr Ho took the time to speak with me personally.

My wife came to this location and was very unpleasantly surprised that her ultrasound was performed by a male. She was too shy to request a female on the spot, but still, the office should obviously provide a female for female procedures. The male was professional but rough, my wife said with the machine. This is more of a review to warn people to request a female is needed and not to assume you'll get on. Also, for the diagnosis center to use their brains when assigning people

One of the staff named Brandi thinks it okay to push aside someone bf so that they couldn’t see their gfs ultrasound photo of my son. I find she’s rude and makes going to that clinic very uncomfortable for me

I had a cortisone shot, did not feel anything. The staff are very helpful and pleasant and explained
everything. I recommend the Westgate Medical clinic.

Twice in one week I went in and received timely and thoughtful service. The staff were excellent, knowledgeable and kind. They were able to get me in for an appointment quickly and easily. The office is clean and allows for good distancing. Even being the next patient immediately after a grumpy person who complained loudly about having to wait when he had missed his appointment time, the staff were friendly, polite and went out of their way to treat me quickly and with great care.

I had cortisone injections in my back when I thought it was just freezing being injected I was informed we were done. It was amazing fast and pain free. The staff was professional and explained everything in detail to me. Thank you.

So disappointed that Dr. Halliday is no longer with you. She is the kindest most caring Dr. I have met I along time. So happy she is now at Glenwood Radiology. I will continue to be a patient of Dr. Halliday.
I will never support CDC again.

I was booked for and external and internal tests. I was taken to the change room by a female staff member. I was retrieved from the change room by a male technician. There was little if any discussion of the procedure by the technician. The technician proceeded with the external test, and I felt somewhat uncomfortable as I had never had a male perform the test. It was dark in the room and it was just uncomfortable. About 1/2 way through I asked the technician what was left to do, and he said a bit more external and then the internal, which he added he could do if i was ok with that. I said firmly that I wasn't and preferred a female to do the test. And thats what happened. The problem with the whole situation, was at no time was I told that I may have a male technician, or given any such option of a female. Only when I questioned was this offer made. In addition the technician did not go over the procedure but just got right to it. I will never use CDC again.

I was late and they still accommodated me. The staff was incredibly nice, opened the doors for me and everything.

Waited for over one hour for an xray. Looks like the steroid injections trump other procedures since they must be a big money maker for this clinic. The people that were getting this procedure done was put ahead of me in the x rays These must be repeat procedures while my xray is a one time procedure. Someone that has to get an xray usually will be in a lot of pain but I am sure that other procedures make quite a lot more money for the clinic so it does not matter. I have had xrays done at other clinics and have never had to wait so long. I kept hearing the name Dr. Murray so he must be in charge and I think must be the one that dictates this scenario. They were making all sorts of excuses but basically they take care of whoever will gives the most repeat business. Do not go to this centre if you want any sort of service to look after your health. I will tell my doctor not to recommend patients be sent here for tests.

I was scrolling to look for your guys’ phone number and I came across these reviews. I can side with the good because I have had amazing service. Everyone was polite, kind and helpful. But unfortunately, I can also see the side of the negative comments as I have had issues with some employees. I am not confrontational so I do not say anything. But I have heard your employees gossiping about patients or making fun of them. Which I believe is very wrong. Your patients should feel like they are in a judge free environment especially when comments are made about looks, weight and so on. Or talking about their weekend in a very dirogatory manor. The comment that you replied to as being fake just may be that. But at the same time I can also see it happening. I’m not an individual to single someone out, but I do see it as possibly being true as I have had issues with her before. I would be more then happy to email you about it like I’ve seen you said on all the other reviews to share my experience.

I had my obstetric ultrasounds at westgate and had an amazing experience. I felt very at ease and well taken care of. The front desk staff was so friendly and the ultrasound techs were fantastic.very happy with my appt experience. Absolutely will recommend!

Horrible experience. Came in for my appointment dealt with some young girl named Kiara and she was absolutely horrid. Was nothing but polite and she was incredibly rude and acted as if she was better/she didn’t have time for me. I ended up walking out cause I was so baffled by her. You guys really need to check over your employees and how they approach patients. I understand health care field a lot of people are short tempered. I work in that field to so I understand but you don’t let something come off on your patients. It’s unacceptable and brings your professionalism down. Looking at the reviews I wasn’t the only one who had issues with her. Hope you guys take a good hard look at her.

Very insulting, rude, vulgar and offensive people. Young girl at the front counter is the worst.

Clean clinic, tentative/caring staff, and timely appointments. Exactly how a medical facility should be run.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This was the worst experience I have ever had in medical office in my life. Kiara Hare, young female at the front desk was so aggressive and disrespectful towards me and others that I made a comment that she should be more polite. After that she started raising her voice on me. When I was trying to calm her down, she warned me that I could be removed from the clinic and started making my life difficult.
Her female supervisor was not much help also.
I called David Wetter one of the bosses in Calgary. He was not concerned about that at all and kind of blaming me. He was a smarty pants, also very disrespectful. It looks like all those people working there are a little different.
Avoid if you can.
