Canada Post

Worst business hours, they close when most people get off work, which results in a pile up at once or others not being able to even see a representative. They refuse to have garbage for flyers. When asked about getting one, they said you could opt out of Junk Mail. So I opted out. I still get junk mail, and there is still no garbage for papers, lol.

For me, it is time to seek a new Canada Post location. Similar to most of the reviews, I have been met with a very unfriendly, nearly combative staff more often than not. The fact that they are a federal "service provider" has been lost within this group. It doesn't seem to be a localized issue, pertaining to one employee as the level of service, or lack thereof, is consistently poor amongst multiple service agents

I like the post office and I know most of the staff who are very friendly and do there best to help people but like all places these days it would be nice to have 2 people always at the counter during busy hours of the day.

This post office is no longer sufficient for a growing town. Often you will be waiting in line for over 20 minutes because they only run 1 till. 8/10 times the workers are unfriendly.

I'll second all the bad reviews I have yet to have a positive experience at the post office.

Born and raised in Blackfalds and I've never had a bad experience at the Canada Post in town.
Staff are always friendly ans helpful even though they put up with so many angry and frustrated people on a daily basis!

It's got to be one of the MOST unhelpful offices in the entirety of Canada Post. I'd give 0 stars if possible.

This is now the 3rd time I have rushed to make it before 5: 00pm to get a package and the office has been closed. It is 4: 43pm and the doors to the front desk are closed. The sign on the door even says 'holiday hours til 5pm'.

Most days I would rate this establishment five starts. Not today. Rude customer service. “Technically I don’t have to help you” I was told by the lady behind the front desk. Went to pick up my package with my ID and box number, like I usually do. She would not even look it up on her system and told me I needed to have the slip.

Why do you have to be so rude? I just wanted to buy stamps. Will be going to Red Deer Canada Post moving fwd. Sorry I took 2 minutes of your day.

Would like my mail to come on time like last year. Every time I expect a government payment that's mailed out it is a day later every time. People depend on that money to survive

This is a post office we have used for years. The staff have always been welcoming, kind, and helpful. I've even had circumstances that prevented me from picking up a parcel and they worked with me to ensure that I was able to get it. Kind communication goes a long ways towards building a good relationship with your postal workers.

There have been many changes and adjustments as Blackfalds has grown far beyond the capacity of its tiny post office, and the employees have met them head on and worked hard to do their best with the space they have. Despite the discourtesy of mailbox subscribers who, at times, somehow feel that the post office functions as their personal space to sort their mail and leave what they don't want strewn about at all hours (for shame!), it's cleaned up and ready to go for the next day.

At times there can be very long waits as this outlet is not equipped to assist more than one person at a time if folks need to have a transaction rung through. A lack of equipment or inadequate staffing hours provided by the employer is not the fault of the employees or of the manager here.
Be prepared to wait and have a kind or encouraging word ready for those who work here. And if you happen to be in and there isn't a line, that's the time to get things done!

I've never had a good experience in this post office. This post office is the definition of disgruntled postal worker. They held my package because the wrong postal code was on it so the lady could give me trouble about it. Sending a package there is a nightmare as well better off driving into Lacombe or Red Deer for sending anything you'd need a post office for.
