Great experience today with a lady “Joy”. Meticulously taken care of each minute details of hair cut although she is brand new on the floor. Clean shave of my bear was a wonderful experience. I hope to see her success in this profession.

I go here every three to four months and each time I have had an amazing experience with the barbers I've had. My latest one was j fade and he did such an amazing job

My recent visit to this barber shop was fantastic! The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring I felt at ease throughout the entire haircut process. I appreciated how they carefully listened to my instructions and translated them into a stylish and well-executed haircut. The level of skill and attention to detail was evident in the final result. I left feeling confident and satisfied with my new hairdo. This is definitely my go-to place for future haircuts!

Great service! Free! Kind and thorough. Honestly, I get better haircuts here than the various places I go to. Last haircut was absolutely amazing. They take their time and then the work is double checked, so you get a high attention to the quality and end result. I support this school mainly because of the excellent positive reinforcement I hear each teacher give to the students which makes me very comfortable as a client. Easy to book online (recommended you pick the first shift in the morning, 10: 00 so to be attended closer to your booking time).

I went for a walk in haircut and was greeted quickly. The student barber Talon was super friendly and exceedingly considerate. He asked numerous times throughout the visit if i liked the way it was looking. The instructor was also positive and caring, modeling how to achieve the look I was going for and coaching the student. Overall I am very happy with the experience and recommend the opportunity to get a free haircut.

I’m speechless. This is honestly the best hair cut I’ve gotten in my life till now! I got a free cut today from Abdorrahman who was being guided at times by the professors there. One of the professors also did some finishing touches on my hair, and all together they did magic.

A bit of a condescending receptionist. What is with that type of behaviour?

This school is the best if you want to get into barbering. You learn everything you need to know about being a barber and you also get to learn more about hair products. The instructors (Jp), (Chad), and (Gabby) has helped in many different ways, they've showed me how to fix my mistakes, how to build a clientele, how to properly communicate with my clients and they have helped me gain that confidence and pride in my work and I didn't think I would have. They are truly the best instructors you could ask for and I'm very thankful that I had them by my side as instructors and friends. This whole experience was something I'll never forget, and I definitely recommend this school to anyone who wants to become a barber.
The principle (Simone) is honestly the best teacher you could get, she'll always take time to give you a 1on1 session if you need help and she will always tell you what you can do to make it easier and more comfortable to you. She's someone you end up really connecting with and someone that can make you laugh no matter the conditions.
The Admin (Dion) is so friendly and she'll help you purchase any product needed and she's such a great person and she does so much for everyone, this woman needs an award for doing what she does.

My recent experience at the Canada School of Barbering in downtown Edmonton where I had a haircut, etc, was excellent. Professionalism is the culture prevailing in the School. I sensed this from the service I received from the lady at Reception, to the Instructors, to the student who did my haircut and whose name is Josen. He was guided by his Instructors who ensured that Josen was learning foundational barbering basics, texturizing techniques, etc, while making sure that he was having fun at his craft. They also used products that made my hair feel great. Thank you so much, Canada School of Barbering, for the haircut, etc, and for putting a smile on my face.

I couldn’t tell you how grateful and amazing my experience was with this group of amazing individuals. Over the span of 4 months I learned so much, I’ve had lots of experience before coming to the school which was amazing but i learned all the skills I wanted to. For example I wasn’t the most comfortable with doing layer haircuts. When I came to The Canada School Of Barbering I’ve learned a couple new ways how and am a super confident in my skills. I met some amazing friends that I didn’t think I deserved but I got anyway:).

Jp: Jp I’m so glad we met and u have been such an amazing friend to me, whenever I needed someone to talk to you were always there and made me feel so special, your energy was amazing and I’m so glad I could learn from someone like you, thanks brother!

Chad: You are one of the kindest human beings I have ever met and am so happy to have met you. You have been a huge inspiration for me and are such a great friend, and I look up to you! And your fades are so “deadly”

Gabby: When I first started at the school Gabby was the teacher who checked the first haircut I got there. She started as part time while also working super hard at her own business. She helped me learn so much and it was such a pleasure to meet her. Her positive vibes are such an amazing addition to the school.

Simone: Simone was the very first face I met when I started the course. While I was out in Edmonton I was staying by myself in an apartment. Simone would offer me so much food so I wouldn’t be hungry for dinner she’s so kind and has such a good heart. Simone is the head educator at the school and is a genius when it comes to hair and the behind the scenes of barbering!

Dion: Dion is the admissions advisor at the school. She deals with all the hard stuff and I couldn’t give her more credit for it. She works so hard everyday and it’s so inspiring to watch such a hard worker do her thing. I’m so glad we met and you have been so kind to me over my 4 months away from home thank you for everything.

If you ever want to learn barbering go here, you won’t find a better more effective way to learn the trade. Not only is the school its self amazing just being in the building is such an amzing feeling. Thank you

I am a woman with very curly hair which is the misfortune of female hairdressers in general, but this young man from beyond, still a student, gave me a haircut with layers, which no confirmed professional female hairdresser has yet did not know how to do so far! Their supervisor is also extremely kind and remarkably professional. Hats off Garrett!

Got a really good cut, the student was very patient and passionate.the instructor was very nice and helped a lot along the way!

Good haircut, nice people, easy booking, no problems. I got a fairly dramatic hair change and the cut turned out well. The instructor assisted the student with the cut, just expect the cut to take longer.

I got a haircut and beard trim done by Laura, an aspiring student barber. She outdid herself and so far I feel it's my best haircut in the recent year. The registration and attendance were smooth. I'd like to thank the School and Laura personally for outstanding service.

First semester was awesome, but second was a nightmare, I don't and won't ever recommend this school to anyone learning to be a barber

Colin was professional, friendly, and did a phenomenal job cutting my hair. Easily on par with high-end barbershop work. JP (the instructor) was attentive and provided guidance and double-checks. Overall, a great experience!

My only critique is that they are basic.
They took what I said and asked for and simplified it.

If you want a quick, clean, simple haircut, I recommend them.

I set up a meeting with one of the instructors there and they kept pushing me to pay a deposit for the course, I felt very uncomfortable with the service. They offered me a free haircut by a student barber which sounded good to me and it turned out terrible. No instructors were near them and didn’t even bother fixing me up when complained. Very bad experience. STAY AWAY

I’ve been going to this place for the past 4 years, honestly there’s no doubt that they have the best barbers in the city especially Ahmed! I won’t let anybody touch my hair but him lol he’s amazing.

I stopped by yesterday for a haircut and a shave since it was free. I got razor cuts all over my face. I look like I just got back from WW3.

Nice place, got my beard lined up last week by one of the students, got some minor cuts but I guess they say you get what you pay for which is true.

Ahmad provides an unreal service and does a great job cleaning you up! Have been there a few times, and he’s always been polite, easy-going, and cuts my hair exactly how I like it!

Devin Chase gave me phenomenal service, was really easy to work with and gave ma a great haircut. Definitely coming back for another one the next time around!

I usually use the free week haircuts and or shave. Not because I'm cheap but because I know how much the students appreciate having clients to prepare for their exam.

It was my first time at Mr Barber School in Downtown, when I got the haircut done it looked decent due to their big mirrors but when I got home I realized how pathetic haircut it was with uneven hair on the top and the sides. For the amount of money that was charged it was highly disappointing and I would not recommend going in there. The master barbers are highly untrained and I don’t know how they became so called master barbers. Surely the guys over there have no coordination amongst themselves and no motivation to give the customer a decent haircut.

Went in today for a cut. Super friendly staff and the student that cut my hair was awesome. Thanks for the fresh cut. And props to the tiny student that made it a good experience.

Can't say enough great things about this place. Very professional staff and a very chill welcoming vibe! I highly recommend getting your haircut by Ahmad. He is a great guy that does a killer job every time.

I’ve been here a couple of times and tested the waters with different barbers
They all have their own good qualities but my favourite this far is Alex
He is professional and takes his time with clients to make us feel comfortable and taken care of
If I ever get a bad cut I come straight to him no matter where in the city I am to fix me back up because he is that good
I recommend everyone to come to him and anytime I get a complement on my hair it’s only after I cut with Alex

I didn’t even know I was getting a haircut by a student. Took like an hour and a half to do the cut and it wasn’t even that good. Ended up coming out with blood on my neck.

Amazing service. Very very happy with my cut. Second time going, first time was a walk-in, this time I booked an appointment with Ahmad. Quality work. Found my regular spot. Strongly recommend.

DEVIN did a great job on my hair today.it was my first time going to the barber school.devin did such a good job that there was no hair in my clothes. I was satisfied and i will go there again.

Im a current student at mr barber school.and I must say coming from a total different background of work to learning how to cut hair was scary.but once I started the staff and the teachers were very friendly and patient with the students.they have a system that teaches you how to learn the right way and an easy way.and a good atmospher they make sure you understand the course of the day and answer all your questions in a way that makes you understand how to achieve a good hair cut in very happy i took this course and I feel confident when im ready to start my New career that ill be successful due to how they teach you if any one is really thinking of changing there career into a barber life style I recommend me barber school 100%.

It was a great experience and I learned so many different techniques for cutting hair. Moe has a big heart really cares about his students and their careers. Simone is very knowledgeable and is always willing to help. Bryce is truly a skilled barber and always has a smile on his face. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone who is interested in becoming a barber.

Service was fine, quickly got in and got my haircut done. When I got back home noticed that my side burns were cut VERY unevenly so I shaped them up myself. It's a decent haircut but I'd recommend getting the students, they're cheaper and give just as decent of haircuts as the "masters"

Great place to get your ears lowered! Anything from a trim to even a shave! To a Kojack (Head Shave) they've have Master Barbers to Student Barbers, you're pick!

Worst experience. Guy working at desk finished texting before talking to me, I went for a simple beard trim and could have done much better. Extremely uneven on the left side. Person who did beard trim didn't seem to care.

Not highly recommended for a mens haircut, this guy named ALI, a “master barber” on this place leave me a poor quality of hairstyle, he leave a overhang hair from the both side of my hair, it didnt turn out as what i expected it to be. I was telling if him if he could blend it through to that top part of my hair but he has some stupid reasons that he cant do it. Such a dissapointing place to get a haircut. Never gonna come back to this place again.

Best barbers in Edmonton. They care about the details. Every barber I've used there has done an amazing job. Great hair product recommendations. I've never felt as confident in recommending a barber as I do with the barbers here.
