Canadian Islamic Center - Al Rashid Mosque (Masjid)

We are thankful to have a place to be able to say goodbye to our beloved ones!
40 years ago, there was no such thing. And if there was, it was very limited! Allah bless those who made this happen.

Beautiful heritage place and must visit for Edmonton visitors. This place has history and proud to pray inside the oldest mosque of Canada

The brothers and sisters at the Al Rashid Mosque were immensely helpful and kind after my father passed away. Thank you so much for embracing me and my family with kindness during my fathers Janazah. May Allah SWT grant us mercy and bless us all.

The Imam is very nice, polite, caring, respectable and respectful. He doesn't discriminate. He treats everyone equally. He also very much knowledgeable of Islam.

Clean place and very friendly people mwas working here doing a popup shelter for llextrrme wether and it was a great place for participants

This is the oldest masjid in Canada although its current building is not that old. Very welcoming environment

Allah SWT protects our great mosque

The first El Rashid mosque built in 1938 was built two blocks away from where I was born, the mosque on 113 Street was built two blocks away from where I grew up. El Rashid mosque has a very special place in my heart. I became a Muslim 8 years ago

Recently started family program on Every Firiday night. Please participate and contribute the new event.

This place does not have a designated area for women to pray. The upstairs is occupied for a school and the gym area although is meant to be for women to pray in it consistently does NOT have the carpets laid out. How this is happening is beyond me. I have decided my husband and I will NO LONGER donate to this mosque as it has been made clear women are not welcome.

Lovely Islamic Centre. The ablution (Wudu) area is so neat, clean and tidy and deserve nothing short of 5-Star!

Great services, clean, and well maintained, a perfect place for worshipping Allah, may Allah bless the people running such an organization

The people are do nice they bring you in like you are one of the family and I love learning about Islam.
