Canadian Pizza Unlimited & Shawarma High River

Experienced horrible customer service after phoning to clarify why one of our pizzas came not as we ordered it. The man on the phone was EXTREMELY aggressive, yelled at me, called me an idiot and hung up. I have always been a CPU fan anywhere I travel but will never order from the one in High River again and would recommend no else support a business that treats their customers so horribly.

That was hands down the worst experience I’ve had at a CPU in my life. And I’ve eaten at dozens of them hundreds of times.
Went in at 5: 50 on a Thursday night for 2 slices of pizza, they only had 1. Asked when more slices were coming up and the guy behind the counter told me there wouldn’t be. If I wanted more than 1 slice I’d have to order a full pizza because he didn’t want to make anymore slices in case a few didn’t sell in the next 4 hours then had the gall to give me a dirty look for not tipping him for my 1 stale slice.
I just started working on a 4-5 month project across the street and Instead of grabbing lunch/dinner at this location 10-15 times a month - now I’ll never be back. I have to seriously question the quality and freshness of ingredients at a place who’s worried about selling 4-6 slices of pizza over 4 hours at tail end of dinner rush.

I've been to this location before for a slice. Bought a pizza on that visit a year or so ago. Fresh hot pizza and great service. This time, the Piccadilly was cold and stale like it was served from the previous day. I ate it but not as good as fresh slices. Slice size in the last two years has gone down also, but the price went up. Aidrie had smaller slices than red deer and high river. At some point, high river changed to the smaller Alice format. Kindof disappointed. Seems like everyone is charging more for less. How they fix it soon.

Food was so good. Staff were very kind and reasonable and prices were low. I ate the shawarma and it tasted very good. Restaurant is very clean and organized.

This is some of the best pizza, fries, and wings I've ever had. They were warm and tasty and the customer service was very good. They took only 10 minutes to make all items. Would definitely come here again.

This place is very good pizza and good customer service. Pizza had lots of sauce and tasted very good. It looks like the negative reviews are from their competitors judging by the number of likes on the positive reviews compared to the number of likes on the negative reviews.

Today I went here to get lunch- and I didn’t end up ordering - here’s the story- the place was locked upon arrival and then the guy working there pulled up and said he’s here and can take my order. I went in and observed him take off his jacket - he told me he would be a minute then immediately went and started making pizzas that were ordered while he was gone. Throwing around the pizza dough- he was right back to work without washing his hands I was stunned and just said I had to go.

Great pizza.they deliver very quickly and the orders are always accurate.i like the ability to buy slices quickly and for cheap price.

Everything was clean and the staff were friendly. All the negative reviews must be from competitors as the employees are so friendly.

Stopped for a couple slices of cheese pizza. The gentleman across the counter was delightful and happy to make two fresh hot slices of pizza for my wife. It was unbearable driving home with the incredible smell of those slices of pizza as I cannot eat them. My wife said the pizza was amazing, hot, fresh, tasty, and we will be back for more.

Very nice and clean space with multiple options to eat. Freshly made delicious pizza. Also tried shawarma and samosas.

Recieved expired pop!
Says it expired in February. New to town and will not order from here again. Unlimited toppings they should call it unlimited skimpy toppings cuz there wasn't any on ours!

Unbelievably rude customer service. With no follow up. Horrible food, can't believe the place is open.

I found this to be ok food it was the delivery charge that I found Appalling, was charged $5 extra for delivery, and the driver added his own $5 tip as well, after I told him no tip. I will never order from this pizza place ever again as a truck driver I order out many times a week and to be robbed at the side of the road is very sad.

DO NOT ORDER! Unreal customer service, very rude! Paid $2.50 for extra topping, couldn't even find 4 on the whole pizza. We called to complain and the manager said that he made the pizza himself and the topping was under the cheese, so while on the phone we pulled the cheese off and nope not there. Hufsais argued us and then hung up on us! When we called back we asked for head office's number and he said to look online. We had to call another location to get this info. Will NEVER order again,! Also, donair pizza had NO sauce, brutal customer service and pizza is not as advertised.

Amazing Chicken Shawarma - reasonably priced complete with friendly service. What more could a person want!

Good pizza for a very good price. They serve halal meat which test great. Friendly and welcoming staff. Don’t miss it if you are passing high river. It is worth giving it a shot.

I've ordered here once, and it will be the last. Worst experience I've ever had ordering food. I placed my order online, no issues there. Recieved a call shortly after from them to confirm my order. The man was impatient, rude and unpleasant. Aggressively asked me what I meant by "medium" wings. Obviously annoyed with me, despite the fact that I chose the option from the choices on their online menu. After confirming the apparently unclear order, hr abruptly hung up on me without another word. Horrified by the astounding lack of civility.
Fast forward to picking up the order, in person, was met with the San me contemptuous attitude. Barely said a word and might as well have pushed me out of the restaurant.
As a strong finish, imagine how the food was. We ordered two DIFFERENT bread stick-like items, and instead was looking at two identical items. Neither of which resembling either of the dishes I ordered. Overcooked, bare and tasteless. Our wings were acceptable, only because they weren't burnt or undercooked. Some of the most simple wings I've had.
What of all was the "Donair salad", regret ordering out of virtuosity. Had about a quarter size serving of sauce, unappetizing veggies and the meat was questionable. I was scared I'd get sick of iate it.
Never in my life has a buisness been so overwhelming terrible I will never take my buisness here Again. The man I dealt with should not work in costumer service, or with people at all. Unacceptable way to treat anyone in any situation. CPU should be embarrassed.

Extremely rude service, plus they got half my order wrong. Burnt bread with no seasoning which was supposed to be cheese bread, Will never be returning.

Ordered the Donair pizza, and was completely disappointed; 4 pieces of donair meat a medium pizza is NOT unlimited toppings. Barely any donair sauce. What you get is nothing like advertised. Never ordering from there again. It's too bad because when they first opened it was not like this.

The franchise is pretty good, this location is clean. Prices are competitive. They have good deals on combos so check that out as well as the walk in specials. Over all a good pie.

Watch out for 4 hour old pizza slice and the un willingness to make it fresh. I want tomato paste not a dried up tomato powder.also you may pay for extra topings but will you get them probably not.

Was not impressed. The state unlimited toppings, we bought a donair pizza and it was a large pizza and I would be lucky if there was 4 pieces of donair meat. Wings were good but not the food was not worth almost 50 bucks. Quite disappointed and won’t ever spend any money there. Tried to contact them and never did get a response.

Pizza was delicious, and excellent service. Had delivery, and they arrived 10 minutes earlier than expected. Paid with credit card and the guy left. A couple of minutes later he came back and said he had overcharged me and gave me $$ back. Now that is amazing service.

Ordered pizza and wings, wings were great pizza was tasty but honestly had 10 pieces of donair meat on a donair pizza? No feta was added as ordered nor were there any tomatoes. Even tipped the guy working, made a complaint and haven’t heard anything from them. Very disappointed and yet one more place in high river that won’t get anymore of my business.
