Canadian Rockies Experience

We had an absolutely wonderful trek with our guide Jasmine. We did the Larch Valley trail and ended up going all the way up to the Sentinel Pass. Jasmine was so knowledgeable about the area, topography, wildlife, mountain ranges, etc. She was very thoughtful about checking in on pace, break stops, guided us on when to use our poles, etc. We are early 40’s and athletic but not regular hikers at higher altitudes so needed some guidance as we traversed the higher areas with light snow and a slushier trail. Would absolutely use Canadian Rockies Experience again and felt the price was well worth the experience we received.

I’ll keep this review sort of short! But WOW what a place! My wife and I came into Banff on the Rocky Mountaineer in the evening and checked into Peaks hotel & suites. Great hotel & location.

Laura from ‘Canadian Rockies Experience’ planned our 4 day itinerary including an airport transfer on the 5th day. From the get go, the itinerary shared was what we were looking for with just a few minor adjustments. After that it was smooth sailing!

A very personalized tour with excellent new vehicles. Over the 4 days we had Tony, Kelsey & Kyle as our guides and driver. We did all the major must sees such as lake Louise and the emerald lake, the Banff Gondola ride/tour etc.but also a lot of extra stops along the way because we like nature photography, so all the guides were excellent and patient in pointing wildlife out. From mountain goates to pikas, we managed to capture them.

I would highly recommend Canadian Rockies Experience to anyone looking for an intimate, private and memorable adventure!

Our hike with Andrew was the highlight of our 2 week trip! I was a little nervous as I’m not a regular hiker but my goodness my nerves disappeared soon as we set foot on the trail. Andrew had everything we needed, plus a TON of knowledge. We learnt so much and found the day tailored to us. The picnic lunch was also so great. Highly recommend this experience.

Andrew was an excellent and knowledgeable guide and knew exactly where I could manage with my mobility scooter. Thanks for a very enjoyable tour!

Laura was very helpful in helping me figure out the best 3 day itinerary for me and my family to ensure we were able to fit in as much as possible and meet everyone's wishlists.

Each day's tour was unique and the guides (Andrew, Tony, and Laura) were all outstanding.very knowledgeable and personalble and shared with us some great stories. They knew all the special spots to stop at and where to get the best views. (Ie. Spiral train, Marble Canyon) They even had umbrellas and walking sticks at the ready for us if needed.

Definitely the easiest way to get around and see all the gorgeous sites without all the hassle of parking and driving. No waiting in lines for shuttles. No getting turned away because parking is full. We got to sit back and just enjoy it all with no stress.

We will definitely be referring them to all our friends who travel to Banff area in the future!

This tour of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake in Banff was a dream experience. The six of us were taken great care of by the finest tour guide any one of us have ever experienced. Ask for Tony. He not only provided hot beverages and pastries for the journey, but also stopped several times for surprise sites, and ended our trip with a spectacular juggling act! He was warm, well informed and efficient. Thanks Tony!

We spent 10 days in Canada, and by far, our best day was our tour with Canadian Rockies Experience. Our tour guide, Jill, made our day exploring Lake Moraine and Lake Louise incredibly special. My husband and I were traveling with my 80 year old parents. Jill did a great job setting the pace for a day they could navigate and enjoy. The lovely added touches were very special- coffee and croissant after a hike around Lake Moraine and up the rock pile, snacks in the van, and knowledge about the area. Our train trip had been cancelled due to the forest fires, and the company gave us a special gift of ice wine to start our wonderful day. Seeing Banff National Park has long been a dream of my parents, and I appreciated CRE’s role in making it happen! We ended our day with afternoon tea at the Chateau. I definitely recommend taking a private tour like this one with CRE to see Lake Louise and Lake Moraine! As we were leaving, large groups were arriving. We were so glad we had less tourist traffic to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Laura was also great in helping me plan the excursion, and Jill was an incredible guide.

Laura - as my wife and I await our departure from YYC, we are reflecting on our visit to Lake Louise / Banff. Hands down, the highlight of the trip was our day hiking the Stanley Glacier and short trip to the Marble Canyon. Mother Nature certainly provided the excellent backdrop; but Jasmine brought it to life with her seemingly endless knowledge. Her demeanor and kindness is flawless. It was truly a special day. Kyle was our guide and he made the day even better. We hiked from Lake Moraine up Larch valley to sentinel pass. This was our favourite hike in the Rockies. From the time Kyle greeted us with coffee and croissant - to lunch on the pass, the entire day was perfect. Thanks Kyle. What a wonderful experience we had with this company! They made our bucket list wishes come true! Tony our guide was so knowledgeable and interesting and made our trip so memorable! He always had time to stop and to take a minute to just enjoy whatever we were viewing. Would always be considerate of how high or how far or how strenuous the hike or walk would be! Our guide Tony Esteves was probably the most competent tour guide we have ever had anywhere in the world. He truly created one of the most interesting and enjoyable tours imaginable. Outstanding tour of Lake Louise and Moraine Lake

What a perfect day. We were promptly picked up from our hotel by Jasmine. Coffee and pastries welcomed us before we set off on our way.
Jasmine was personable, knowledgeable on all subjects and an absolute delight.
It was a fabulous and effortless way to see Lake Louise and it did not disappoint.
Scenery is so spectacular and picture worthy.
I would highly recommend this company if you are thinking of touring around Banff.
A little pricey, but after the wonderful day we experienced, it was worth every cent.

We are so glad we selected this way and this company to see the astounding sights of the Banff area. Pristine vehicle, charming and knowledgeable guide, with drinks and snacks to boot, we were waved into sights' parking areas as dozens of cars were sent away due to lack of parking. Such a relaxed and efficient way to get an insider's view of the best there is to see and do. No crowds, lines and waiting for shuttles. Laura does a prideful job with her company. Highly recommend having her make your time a memorable joy, as she did for us.

July 2023: had an awesome time with Kyle at Lake Louise, Moraine Lake, and Marble Canyon. The company provided us with pastries, snacks and water throughout the trip. Also provided us with car seats for my 11 month old and 5 year old. We never felt rush throughout the tour and we learned so much. Highly recommend!

THE PERFECT DAY in BANFF with KYLE!

My husband and I had limited time in Banff and wanted to make the best of it and see as much as we could without having the hassle of transportation, navigation, park passes, restaurant reservations, and much more. We were completely BLESSED with having KYLE as our Tour Guide for the Day! He was a walking encyclopedia of interesting knowledge and history of all of the places we visited, and much more. His friendly, gracious, and patient demeanor, only added to our AMAZING DAY! We visited waterfalls and all three lakes (Emerald, Louis, and Moraine) and experienced the BEST overview of the beautiful nature that IS Banff. The attention to detail was also EXCEPTIONAL! We had a private picnic lunch set up for us on a gorgeous clearwater creek near Emerald Lake. Kyle is also the master photographer, and never skipped a beat in taking our pictures. He even knew the Rule of Thirds! I highly recommend booking with Laura's company, and requesting Kyle. You will not be disappointed. It was our FAVORITE day of our entire trip, and likely the BEST day that we have ever experienced in our many travels!

We recently had the pleasure of embarking on a guided tour with Tony, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, Tony demonstrated unparalleled expertise, professionalism, and genuine passion for the destinations we visited.

Throughout the tour, Tony remained attentive to the needs of the group, ensuring everyone was comfortable and well-informed. Excpecially we had senior on wheelchair. He managed the logistics flawlessly, which allowed us to relax and immerse ourselves fully in the breathtaking sights without any worries, even with full extremes of the mountain weather.

I had SUCH a great time with the snow shoeing with the Canadian Rockies Experience and can't wait to come back. My friends and I planned a girls trip and decided we wanted to do something a little do a winter trip in Canada. We are all from the Southern USA and had so much fun braving the winter and snow. Andrew was patient, helpful and super knowledgable as well! We had an absolute great time and I cannot wait to return and I was so happy we did this. Thank you so much, and thanks again Andrew!

I always believe in investing in a good private tour during our travels, and Laura was exceptional in our 8 hour tour around Banff National Park. We covered quite abit in the 8 hours - and she brought us to a few beautiful hidden gems (away from the crowds) - places that we probably wouldn't have found on our own. She provided really interesting insights of the surroundings from point to point - and we've learnt so much during our time with her
