I got totally scammed by the automotive department, A little leak in the steering wheel hoses cost me 2300 dollars, they charged for shampooing engine etc and said tie rod ends need replacing. Midas told me today that steering hoses are leaking and tie rod ends are worn and have a play. It has been only 14 months and the manager was very rude and abrupt and hung up on me saying hes really busy. We work hard for our money and 2300 is a lot of money and I spent it for peace of mind.

VERY RUDE STAFF OLDER BLONDE WOMEN WITH GLASSES AVOID AT ALL COSTS! SHE HATES HER JOB AND LIFE AND TAKES IT OUT ON SHOPPERS TRYING TO FIND THINGS

The store is generally fine but when they claim to have something “in stock” that’s only sometimes true. I don’t actually like having to take a gamble every time I drive all the way down here to buy something they say is in stock.

The Mechanic shop is worst service I have ever experienced. Customer service is horrible. I love the store its always great but the mechanic section is absolutely horrible.

Didn’t complete safety inspection; cost me THOUSANDS!

I dealt with the manager. Avoid him at all costs, he's a manipulative liar.

I brought a car to this location for a safety inspection, which I needed to get it insured. I was in a rush, as I need a vehicle for my job & the deadline was fast approaching. It was an older-model Toyota that seemed to be in decent shape (my mistake).

Firstly, there was a chip in the corner of a headlight. They overcharged for the assembly ($322.24), which I could have ordered online for less ($96.38). They wouldn’t let me do this. Secondly, they claimed that the horn didn’t work & hosed me for that as well. It sounded fine to me when I tried it; they claimed it worked intermittently.

After a few months, I sensed something was wrong, so I brought it to my usual mechanic. As it turns out, the transmission was on its last legs, the clutch was almost dead & the washer reservoir was smashed beyond patching, so it would leak when filled over half-way. All of these components were checked-off on the report by Canadian Tire. They didn’t even do a proper safety inspection, which I trusted (& paid) them to do!

I now have to sell the vehicle for a fraction of what I bought it for & buy another, which will mean draining a chunk of my measly life savings. Overall, I spent just over $1,000 with Canadian Tire; my mechanic said he could have done the same work for a quarter of that (not including the transmission).

I have never felt this used by a business before. They didn’t even care about it being safe to drive. Do not trust them! They knew I couldn’t take the car elsewhere, milked as much cash out of me as they could & didn’t even do their job.

Worst mechanics and customer service I have ever encountered. I would never recommend anyone take their car to this place for repairs.

As usual I went to pick something up that said was in stock online just to find it was not in stock. Then had to hunt for a employee to open a case for another item I needed.

Bob from the auto parts counter helped me find THE ONLY positive crankcase ventilation valve for my car in the Edmonton area. Thanks Bob! You made it so my car will last the winter!

I was looking for a specific item. Found it online and it told me the quantity and aisle it was in. Seriously easy shopping!

Like many others have said, do yourself a favour and go to any other Canadian Tire. Always incorrect stock levels resulting in numerous cancelled online orders for me and I am sure for many others as well. Good luck finding someone to help you find something or, at the very least, acknowledge your presence!

Great sales on kitchen stuff, got a great deal on a stock pot for my son for Christmas but couldn't find a lasagna pan.

This is my local Canadian tire (Or CT for short!) And boy does it deliver! This trip we came for Christmas lights, and ended up leaving with a little bird for our Christmas tree! We also came oh so close to picking up a roomba.maybe next time!

Canadian Tire stores are basically the same. Where they differ is in their floor staff and cashiers. These stores serve a purpose and this one is ok.

Unless I need something on a short timeline, I'll go to any other Canadian Tire in the city.

Their tire shop has screwed me over more times than I can count, the management was unwilling to help unless I had proof that I handed my tire sensors to the mechanics. Unsure how I'd prove that. They've mounted my wheels unsafely even when given clear instructions on the work order.

The self checkout always seems closed, and now they make you pre-pay for water and caps, meaning you have to stand in line at Customer Service before you can shop, last time it took a full 25 minutes to wait in line, I should've gone literally anywhere else.

Took my car in for repairs, abs sensor, car wasn’t repaired, or test driven. Shop could not follow simple instructions

Karl from Automotive taught me how to change the bulbs in my car. He was incredibly helpful and explained/showed how it was done as I had mixed up which bulbs I needed to replace and which preformed different functions (reverse, signal, brake) If you're a lady and want honest answers about autos ask for Karl! Customer service was amazing

Shopping with my 3 kids (one who happens to be Dennis the menace 2.0) and staff was giving the stink eye at every corner.had half a mind to let the baby do his worst.

I do not know about you people, but how can you not love Canadian Tire. Hands down the greatest store on the planet

Aidren, Bob, and the automotive shop all worked very quickly and effectively together to help me out in a jam! Always nice to see great customer service from another Canadian-owned Company!

After buying a kayak I needed a PFD (paddling lifejacket). I did not imagine it would be so difficult! After visiting many stores, Luke in St. Albert was of huge help. He went to the back to check on stock, and when there was none available, he helped me find one in another store. He even called them himself to make sure it was there. Thanks Luke!

Staff is very helpful. The stock I was looking for was not available so I need to go back for it, unfortunate that I need to make a second trip. Everything else was very good.

Store is a nightmare, stock is poor/all over the place. One star goes especially to the auto service/parts side. I would never let them work on any of my vehicles. A funny example was last month when thred employees couldn't figure out for the life of them what a tailgate latch pin was, even after I showed them pictures and explained the part and its use. As for the rest of the store it seems there's a few good employees/managers, but most of the employees I've dealt with are careless when it comes to customer service, incompetent when it comes to the simplest questions, very under-trained (I worked at Canadian Tire, it's not rocket science), and very rude in general.one good employee I usually go to get help from (as he actually cares about customer service) is the tall blonde bike guy. He always seems to be able to tell me where basic things in the store are, help me find or unlock whatever is needed and has a great attitude/work ethic. I've dealt with a couple managers about returns on defective items (just to swap out for a non defective item) and they've been great.

I was ignored by the clerk who was to busy picking her nails. She was uninspired to strike up a conversation about my camping toilet paper and didn’t care to much to bag it. I had to remind her that you had to press a button to trigger the machine that I was going to pay with a card. Overall was good though maybe lol

Was moderatly busy, masks required, didn't require vaccination proof, it's been a while since I was in the store last and they've moved and changed things around which made my visit slightly longer than I'd expected, and the check out line was kind of slow moving

Went to find a pool skimmer and although their online inventory stated they had 8 left they were unable to find any In the warehouse due it being a mess/ unorganized. I've had this issue with other products with this Canadian tire. It's so frustrating.

Terrible experience doing online purchase for store pickup. If your item isn’t in the lockers you are directed to customer service line up along with all the people returning items. Waited 30 minutes to pickup.
Should be a manager pulling those customers from the lineup and expediting them. 2 people ahead of me with the same poor experience

Used to be the only place I shopped until I found out that the refund cards expire. I had purchased something lost my receipt and they did the return to a gift/refund card and I never thought to read the back assuming it was a gift card. Went to purchase something and was told my money expired. Would have been nice they mentioned that during the return I probably would have spent it that day.

Tried to call and ask if an item was in stock and was left on hold for over 25 min. Very frustrating.

That "Guy" guy next time he is addressing to me the way he did, I am passing him throught the front window of your store.

I am writing to thank you to Ken & Christian (young techcian). Thanks to their integrity. Ken has clear communication and Christian is very nice. Highly recommend to everyone. Definitely, I will come back.

Always wait for the flyer and stuff you want to go on-sale. As for being a great outdoor store. You need to have some stock for that to happen.

Staff at this location are never customer service focused. Lots of joking and interaction with fellow staff members while customers wait for service. Stock boxes and carts filled with product line every aisle with staff making no attempt to clear a path for customers. Stock should never be done on the weekend when more shoppers are expected. I wish I could say that this was a one time experience, unfortunately it's been the case every time I visit.

Love love the young lady in the middle cashier today, I told her that I was in hurry because I need to get back to work and shes so friendly and so sweet she knows how to sell the product so well I didn't even need to go outside and spent another hr looking for what soil I needed Good job Canadian tire. Im so happy with my visit today I love workers like that who knows how to sell the product so well. Will go back again and hoping to meet the lady who helped me again.

Poor service on my car, it started rattling as I was driving away and I came to find the exhaust system had fallen out. The manager/Guy was rude when I asked him about the issue

They don't know how to honor scanning code of practice. Found an item I wanted for a really great price the price tag said the name that was on the box went to check out rang up as a different price I told them where I found the item they said nope it's not that price. I mentioned scanning code of practice and they said nope it's not that price. Very bad service.

Worst customer service experience ever! Bought a new ccm bike for my son he only rode it a few times it completely fell apart. They would not repair it or refund me.

Brought in for a broken door handle. They broke the replacement. Four hour wait. No apology or thank you for patience. Do not recommend.

Browsing today however still managed to make some purchases. Store was well stocked, items priced and aisles reasonably clear of obstructions. Staff, whom I interacted with, were helpful, leading me to the requested item and the cashier thanked me for the business at checkout. Overall, a nice shopping experience was had.

Parts and repair staff are professional and place is well organized and neat and not overcrowded.

Looked up what we needed on website which also told us where to look and how many were in stock. Worked perfectly.

I love Canadian Tire! I love that some are locally owned. Great locations with a great assortment of items to choose from. What I don't love are some of the employees. Nothing frustrates me more than approaching an employee and their going to do anything in their power not to make eye contact or acknowledge your presence. Store managers need to sit down with their staff and remind them who actually pays their cheque. Not the owner, not the manager but the customer that's in the store and actually wants to spend money. Stop what your doing or what I find more often than not is talking to another employee and acknowledge the customer and ask " how may I help you". The economy in Alberta for the best part is in the toilet. We have an enormous unemployment rate at the moment. Let's get back to real customer service. CT has a number of competitors that do actually train some of their staff better than they do. CT has a lot of staff and from what I can tell must be doing enormously well as customer service is not always their priority.

Love this CT store. Manager Gord and all his staff are always pleasant and very helpful. The store is generally well stocked and find what we are looking for. Store is nicely displayed and organised.

Always good deals and service at this CT. I go to the paint kiosk if I need help. They have popular brands that you are looking for including camping items. Never buy unless it's on sale. Otherwise you will overpay

Scandalous Gas pricing! Beware of high gas prices in the morning and evening. I’ve been filling up my fleet of work vehicles here for years but this year they are losing a lot of my business. I won’t be supporting this establishment until they stop unethically raising the price of fuel as much as $. 13 in peak hours. They are praying on customers that aren’t paying attention to prices.

Seriously the best service from the auto repair shop. The front desk guy with the white beard and the mechanic that worked on my grey jeep compass today were knowledgeable, patient with my questions and honest. The best auto service part of a c tire I've been to. These guys deserve some positive recognition from the boss.

Waited for 6-7 minutes at the service and parts counter before someone finally asked if we needed help. When we did get help the employee seemed stressed as there did not seem to be enough staff working. But the lack of staff seems to be an issue at other stores as well.
