First time shopping at Canadian Tire Fort McMurray Was nice & quiet Elder cashier was unfriendly Either than that I enjoyed my shopping experience It’s same as shopping B. C with older cashiers guess there just tired
Do not use the mechanic shop. Really simple tire change takes forever even with an appointment. You ask for one thing they do something else and tell you after its policy not to listen to the customer and then "play dumb" about it. They don't tell you policy to do whatever they want and not care about the customer. Its sad that Canadian Tire went from a trusted name to incompetent company.
Went there today. Ask an associate which isle the fans were in. Said she didn’t know. Told me to go get somebody else. Lol… great customer service. Went Walmart instead.
If i could give zero star. I would due to the unethical and uncompetent services we received. We went to Canadian Tire to look four brand new all seasons tires. The tire service department Frontline have a bad attitude that showing lack of interest to show us what is available and provide rude response regard to timeline for ordering. Bad attitude = keep customers away. We will never come back here again as we have found a better service representative from another tire company to walk us through from selecting to order. The whole process was on 5 minutes.
Placed order online-got the wrong item because they picked up the wrong item-so ended up not having the item because other buyer got them already.so disappointed.could’ve gotten the item if they do proper checking of the online order!
Ordered winter tires two weeks ago. I checked back after a week - they never call back. They said the shipment just arrived they need to sort it. I came back 3 days later, the associate said the tires are not here I said they are. He looked at the computer screen again he said he is sorry they are here. He made me wait 20 minutes, returned and said they don't have the tires. End of story.
I called on Wednsday about engine issue and diagnosis.and they gave me appointment for Monday. After 5 days of waiting i went there Monday they told me i dont exist in the system and gave another appointment for Wednsday
Terrible customer service here. Rude so when others complain about customers speaking up, there's usually a reason why. You want to serve customers? Then do so with some respect, you may NOT be the only ones having a bad day. I worked in this field for many years and I've never been rude or resting b*tchfaced ever. That look is terrible
Another terrible experience from CT. Parts desk is staffed by lazy high schoolers who can't bother to help and send you off with incompatible parts. I always try to support local, but this was the last time. You are going to continue to lose business to Amazon until you realize that people want good service from people they can trust.
EDIT: Response to owner's response. I called the number provided but it only reached an automated response with options to check my CT card balance, online shopping inquiries, etc. No option to speak to an actual person or voice my concerns. I called the store customer service who could not provide me with a corporate customer service number. Instead they said they would transfer me to the General Manager, but I was actually passed off to the department manager I had previously spoken to. To be fair, she listened to my concerns but said there was nothing she could do for me. She said she would pass along my concerns to the GM and Owner/Operator and that I should hear for them in the next day or 2 to see if there was a way to resolve the issue. It's now been over 2 weeks and I have not heard anything. This was your last chance CT and you blew it. You won't be getting any more of my business, in this location or anywhere else.
Brought my vehicle in for new tires, wheel alignment and to inspect/replace tpms. Got my vehicle back this evening received keys from parts counter (the auto service counter was closed). When I got in my vehicle and started it, surprise! The low tire pressure alarm appeared. When I proceeded to drive home knowing the service desk was closed I noticed the steering wheel was off center (turned to the right) while driving straight. Now, to waste a morning bringing it down and getting it figured out again. Shops/techs should be charged and payable to the customer the same amount per hour of time wasted for rework, maybe quality of work will improve!
Update. When I brought my vehicle back they had to reprogram the tpms. No mechanic available for 4 days, but an attendant in the garage was in contact with the mechanic and said they couldn't do anything about the alignment due to a level kit on the vehicle and said my truck needed aftermarket bushings to get it in tolerance. I brought my truck to ford due to the lack of confidence at the shop. Ford checked the alignment on my vehicle and found that it wasn't adjusted correctly. Ford made the required adjustments to the alignment. They also corrected my steering wheel. All I asked in return from customer support was to cover the cost of the alignment from Ford seeing how I already paid them. They can't seem to cover that. I do not reccomend this shop for any automotive work!
I rolled into fort mac with a disastrous car issue from another mechanic shop on canada day, next day I called all around town and apparently not a single shop seemed to have any time or mechanics available due to a long weekend (weird for a friday.) and after trying everywhere I gave the auto repair office at this location a call and they booked me in same day and had the issue located and parts ordered to have it fixed by saturday. Very professional shop, fantastic customer service with the offering of different price points for options of repair, fantastic choice for stranded travellers or locals in need, of all canadian tire locations this one can certainly truthfully claim to be Canada's garage.
I had some issues with my last service but I'm happy they tried to contact me several times and followed up about my experience which makes me really happy.
Love Canadian tire. It's a one stop shop and recently tried the frank brand toilet paper which was a great purchase. On same level as the Costco brand.
Terrible. They wanted me to show them an ID to return an item I bought with a card number on the receipt. I will be calling corporate headquarters on monday and putting in a complaint to the BBB
The new store looks great! With so many changes it was hard to find the things we needed. It would be nice if the staff would take you to the item rather than simply directing you to the aisle. There were a lot of employees around but they seemed busy doing their own tasks. The staff in the garden center were amazing tho!
Glad to have the local Canadian Tire open. I found the staff much more knowledgeable of products and service much better than before the flood closure. Please keep up the level of service.
Missed our local Canadian Tire because of the flood in May here in McMurray, had to shop in the town of Athabasca were we have our summer place, finally they reopened. Happy now! Love the newly renovated store, good stuff, good prices!
Employees who are less than eager to help, customers who obviously did not get dressed up to go out. Not as bad as a Walmart. Good selection of product. Reasonable prices. Nothing eventful.
Staff are only good for telling you what aisle to go to.most of the time and if you can find one. I wouldn't rely on too many of them if you have questions or need suggestions.
I don't know of another option, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say.you should get snow tires here, because let's face it, you'll need them and you are either going to have to ride a snow machine or risk your life putting off what is inevitably your best chance of making it home safely. At the very least, call for a quote.
This location falls way behind all other Canadian tire stores I've been to. It is extremely disorganized, they stock is all over the place and makes it hard to maneuver through the isles. The staff seem irritated to perform any type of customer service, and really don't seem well trained. It has not gotten any better over the 8 years I've lived here. The shop is decent thus the 2 star rating.
Horrible! Customer service tried to buy a battery for my bike. Because there was a couple ppl behind me I felt rushed out. Guy looks it up sorry we don’t have that one in stock. Don’t offer to order it for me or anything just a blank look at me. I said what ever I’ll go to NAPA.
I always buy cookware from this place and look for sale price. There is always something on sale. Lacoste is a good quality frying pan. But T-Fal is not good for me. Variety of cookware is available always. Their garden section is very good and big too. Sports items are also available and have a good selection. Automobile section is only open for limited time. Need to schedule a head of time. We always buy auto cleaning accessories from here. Hardware accessories collection is good too. Good customer service. Store is always very neat and clean. Lots of parking lots including para parking. There are few automatic checkout which I don’t like. Recommend others to try this store
