I would not recommend this store to anyone. I brought my car in for oil and tires, and when I got it back the center console had somehow popped out and was "not secure. " I thought nothing of it until I was driving home and could no longer put my vehicle into reverse. When I called to ask what they had done to the console the answer was "nothing" "it was like that already and I told you it was not secure" and "it would not go into reverse the whole time we had it too; we had to push it in neutral. " when I asked why they would not call me to tell me this or inquire if this had been an issue in the past the answer was "we had to get the car in and out" and "we were busy. " I was also seated in the store for 2 of the 3 hours they had the car in the shop and there was zero communication. It is also frustrating that there was zero accountability or even curiosity toward the issue. Luckily, a phone call to a mechanic shop was able to diagnose that the console had been reconstructed incorrectly after it had been taken apart.there were also items from my center console cubby that had fallen into my shifter box that were left there.

I get that accidents happen, but the blatant disregard for the issue, lack of accountability, deflection of the issue and zero interest in resolving it just is not okay. I would not take it back to their shop even to have it fixed for free because I can't trust them if they did not even realize it was put back together improperly.

Worst Canadian Tire in the city. I bought winter tires at this Canadian Tire online and they were not ready when I arrived. I bought them a day before and the same day I received an email saying they were ready for pickup the next day. So I proceeded to book a tire change appointment for the next day, as stated in the email I received. When I arrived I was faced with a rude and unhelpful employee who said that only 3 of the tires were available. On top of this I called several times for hours and no one picked up; to add to the horrible customer service. The employee proceeded to tell me that I can purchase more expensive tires that are ready (even though the tires I paid for should be ready according to their system), and that he doesn’t even know if the tires I bought are in the back, and he can’t go check because “it’s not my department to go back there”. He also said that you and 100 other people also are trying to get tires, quite rudely, so why am I receiving an email stating that they are ready? The customer service and updates were abysmal. I will never come to this Canadian tire again. If the tires are not available then I should not be receiving an email saying they’re ready for pickup. This was the worst auto shop experience I’ve ever had and I would recommend everyone to pay a bit extra and go to your local dealer or Costco where they treat you with respect and actually do their job.

Wish I read the reviews before booking at this store! I highly recommend not booking your car in at this store. The counter staff are very grumpy and don't want to be there. Also they are very money hungry and do not care about customers returning at all. I've had good experience at other Canadian tires but this one is the worse shop I have been too! Save your money and go to a shop where they care about the customers and not set on taking as much money as possible!

Made an appointment to check my car out in the Auto service at 9 am. They had me wait until 2: 40 pm just to do a sloppy look over. They told me there was more damage than there actually was. I paid for them to make an inaccurate diagnosis and waste my entire day. Not sure why they would make an appointment and not even touch my car until 2pm. They never followed up with me about whether they even had the parts, as they said they would. I will never return to this location.

Such a friendly place. As soon as I walked in they assigned a speachless shopping buddy to follow me around like a wagon. My son noticed too while he shopped separately. He thought my store shadow was hilarious. If you're lonely this is the place to hang.
Lots of stock but organized like a garage sale. Couldn't find an 18 inch Bosch winter wiper blade or less than a 25 pk of 1000 or 1500 grit sandpaper. Check out a disaster. Staff untrained on promotions. Caused huge mess and time hole. CTC still a great store overall. This one less so.

Stay away from this store. December 24. I ask an associate about a return policy on an item. He said I could not return the item if I open it. I said ok. I decided not to buy it. I Put the item on the selves beside me. We were close to the cashier and the original shelve was all the way at the back. He looked at me and said something i could not hear him so I said pardon me. Then shouted at me to put it back where i got it. I said wow. Thats nice customer service. I said no. Then he keeps harassing me and shouting in the store. Then he walk away. That is how Canadian Tire treat their customer and on Christmas eve too.

Found a Ring Chime Pro online at Canadian Tire at a good price. 3 days later, they tell me my order is cancelled because they cant find the product. Apparently they had been looking for it for months according to the message left on my phone. Why didnt they delete the item from their web site, especially if they dont even know if they have it. Now, I may not get it in time to add to the Ring doorbell for a Xmas gift, plus I am paying a lot more if I am lucky to get one.

When in to pickup an online paid for order and was told my order was sold to another customer! Which I had paid for and drove from out of town. I was also told my order would be available for pickup which I was definitely not available when I arrived to pick it up.

Brutal service. They cancelled my Christmas present order because their stock wasn't managed properly. Customer service is unable to provide any service. The corporate website is a joke as is the main phone help number. Im done with Cdn Tire. This hasn't been my first negative experience with the company but it will be my last. Cdn tire will never receive another cent from me.

Poor customer service. Unorganized. They cancelled my online order because someone failed to secure it and they ran out of stock. They made a refund the morning after. They don't update the quantity of items on their website for this location. Staff are lazy and don't care. If I could, I would give them zero stars. Especially, their customer service at head office. Equally, if not more, lazy and would rather pawn you off to someone else or another department.

Place was kinda dumpy compares to other locations. Got there at night and the parking lot lights were no on. Felt like I was gona get mugged on the way in. Inside they seemed to be out of alot of stock. I'll keep to beacon Hill location.

BIG thanks to the friendly and outgoing young gentleman (didn't get his name, sorry) who offered assistance on my way to the self-checkout, and thanking me for shopping there. Also, big thanks to the lady at self-help checkout, your friendly gestures certainly leave a lasting impression. But, NO THANKS to the rude middle-aged lady (sorry, didn't get her name either. I was too upset!) by the wall sealant section, who "helped" me find what I'm looking for. When I looked at other sealants, proceeded to yell at me, "Those aren't for walls! " Well, sorry for being a clueless customer, but is it wrong to browse through other items for educational purposes?

Because of this ONE individual, I have to rate this lower than 3 stars.

This location is larger than some of the other franchises, it's usually a safe bet that they have it in stock. They do have a decent stock of outdoor stuff but not as well as the Southland location.

It's a good experience to shop in this store. Once I stepped in, a young service man already greeted me and offer to help me. It made me located my product within a minute. The. Self check out attendant also helpful.

There's no other store in Calgary that I know, that requires me to leave my backpack at customer service, and please don't tell me it's "store policy" that's an excuse not a reason. I don't care how many cameras you have at CS, how safe my back pack will be there, it's inconvenient and yet another cue to sit in. My backpack is my shopping bag!
You ask for purses or strollers to be left at CS? I don't think so.
Walmart is across the street and Amazon delivers you know and there's many other places where I can buy what I need and I will.
If you are so concerned about theft, I hope you can find another way to protect yourself.

Definitely felt some attitude from the "greeter" at the front. Sir, I apologize profusely for having the audacity to come in 15 minutes before closing time. Couldn't find the one thing I needed, as the section it was in wasn't well organized. It was worth the drive to the Deerfoot City location for a better and friendlier store.

As I arrived into Calgary my van brakes started to grind and I knew that I had to do something. The first shop (not a Canadian tire) I called said they would look at them in 6 days. That was not satisfactory so I called Canadian Tire on Crowchild first thing the next morning and explained my problem and that I was traveling and would sure like them looked at that day. The service rep checked his schedule and said to bring it right in and he would do his best to get it out that day. I brought the van in and by 2 30pm it was all fixed up. Yes it cost me more money than I might have spent on doing it myself in my redneck back yard, but when I drove away, the brakes where like a brand new vehicle, much better than they have been for a long time. And same day service is worth a lot when you are traveling. Very pleased with the service.

I've brought my vehicle here twice now to get serviced. Both times I found them to be efficient and friendly enough but most importantly they were able to finish my vehicle in a very timely manner

No disagreement here, Roj. I think it's fairly obvious a review starts with an opinion. Every reviewer formulates an opinion of a property during their visit based on the experience they had there. What matters is the "why, " not just the "what. " A recent thread about decreasing the minimum count uncovered that you can make 200 characters in 2 sentences or less, and yet, these people still complain that they're being forced to ramble on about nothing to meet the requirement. I don't understand why it's so hard to tell us what you ate, what your room looked like, how the waiter treated you, or what you saw. If you just do that, you'll at least double the minimum. The funny part of that previous thread was that the OP hit about 300 characters in the opening statement. The point is, there's a difference between not being too wordy and not saying anything at all.

Here are MY guidelines for writing a review, above and beyond TA's:

1) Use complete sentences, not fragments.

2) Every opinion stated must be accompanied by at least one fact to back it up.

3) Do not simply use adjectives like "good" or "bad, " or any variation of such. Use descriptive adjectives like, "clean" or "salty, " etc.

4) If you cannot remember even a single detail to include in your review, do not post a review. Post a Facebook status. On Facebook.

5) Save your angry, snarky rants for Facebook. Or Twitter. Rashard Mendenhall is looking for a few more followers

I find it helpful to look at their website prior to visiting, so you can find out the quantity of the item as well as the aisle of the product (s) your looking for.

Very upset about this store. No covid spacing, far too many people inside. We had to leave soon after arriving as we couldn't get down the aisles safely. They're supposed to be limited to 10 percent of fire code capacity. Definitely way over that. Poor traffic flow in the store, no staff helping out. Dangerous!

If I could give a 0 star I would! The service department is very very shady and take full advantage of elderly people that don't have much of any mechanical skills.please don't take your cars, to this location they will take your money and sell you on parts and service that is not needed. CALL ANY OTHER SHOP BUT THIS ONE!

Based on information from the Canadian Tire app, I attended this location to purchase one item specifically. This particular store was a 30 minute drive from home. Not only did they not have the item, but their suggestion to me was to drive to another location to find it, or pay to have it shipped. Very unimpressed. The manager I spoke with was polite, however completely unable to resolve the situation.

Public washrooms are closed. I like to leisurely wonder the store to shop it out. Today I was looking for a tub and shower set and wasn't in a big rush. Being of an age were it's never good to be far away from the facilities when nature calls. And sure enough when headed to the checkout nature came a calling. To my dismay they were closed with pallets of product blocking them. I set down my $252 tub and shower fixtures and about $75 worth of miscellaneous stuff and went to Home Depot at Crowfoot were they provide a great customer experience. If you're reading this, I suggest you go there too. Dalhousie Canadian Tire obviously doesn't is more concerned with their convenience than your comfort.

If you have some money burning a hole in your pocket I'd recommend getting your car in her for a service. Not only will they overcharge you, they will also go above and beyond to break something on the vehicle and then charge you labor to repair it! The gentlemen working in the automotive shop are both condescending and rude which makes it quite a wonderful experience overall when you go to pick up your vehicle expecting to pay the quoted $150 and receive a bill for $500 instead. Better yet when you attempt to contact the general manager here to discuss your superbly negative experience he will not respond to numerous phone calls.

I would highly recommend getting your vehicle serviced almost anywhere else, and really wish I had read more reviews before going here.

I sent my Smart Car in for a battery change yesterday. I don't even know the names of the gentlemen I dealt with when I picked up the car, but I had great service. My poor car was running terribly but running perfect now, and the battery even survived the cold night without requiring a jump start

The tires I bought here are decent and at a good price. The service putting them on was poor though for a few reasons. I was told that my front left outer tie rod needed to be replaced and that they would do it for $350. I took the vehicle to another mechanic for a secound opinion after purchasing the part. I was told by the mechanic that there was nothing wrong with the outer tie rod and the inner tie rod did need replacing. It's a good thing i got a second opinion instead of letting Canadian Tire replace a part which didn't need doing. Also the alignment machine was broken when I got my tires put on, so I needed to do it elsewhere, which cost $100.

I came in to purchase many items for my vehicle and a gentleman named Dan in the mechanics parts department helped me out (the gentleman with the mustache mask). He deserves a raise. He was very kind and polite helped me find everything and he is very knowledgeable. Please treat this man as one of your best employees he deserves it.

Drove 40min to the store after checking the hours on the webpage. I got to the store and discovered a printout on the front door that said they changed the hours, and the store was closed. It is 2021, not 1980. I would suggest updating to store hours on the webpage. Lots of angry customers in the parking lot.

The store itself I have no issues with, however in the parts department, I do. I have called the parts department on several different occasions, multiple times. Not ONCE has someone picked up the phone to assist me. The parts department has entirely lost my business and I will be taking any and all business elsewhere.

What a gong show of rude and incompetent people. Famous quote from Steve the manager: “If you don’t like it, take your business elsewhere! ” lol. We made the mistake of taking a very common domestic Ford vehicle in for a $100 generic insurance inspection with a specific checklist of mechanical items to be inspected as provided by Canadian tire and the insurance company. Car failed because of a cracked windscreen. Had the windshield replaced and new tires were installed to boot, as they looked worn. 2 weeks later, and another $100 inspection, we are told it has again failed this time due to the side marker light (not the signal lamp) and all of the suspension was no longer safe. They claimed all 4 shocks at once in a two week period had expired. Amazing. Even more amazing was their balloon style quotes. First they quoted $500, and then $600, and then later on again within the same day $1652 plus another $100 “inspection” by a “certified” mechanic on top of that. Went home, bought all around suspension for $376 at Bowness auto, took 2 hours to change propped up on jacks in a home garage with basic tools. They wanted $57 plus parts to change the running light bulb. It is three small clips, it took us under 2 minutes to pop a new bulb in. Unbelievable. We will be taking it elsewhere for the final “inspection” without a doubt. Run!

I cannot imagine getting one more item into this place. There is stuff everywhere. Good I suppose as they will have what you need. It feels junky and claustrophobic. The auto department is deadly bad. Do NOT take you car there. The repair work is marginal at best.

Are you having a good day and need it ruined? This is the store for you!

Walk in needing one item. Find said item in the tool department, but it is locked up behind a cage. No problem, just find the person staffing the tool department. Person doesn't seem to exist. Instead the store is staffed with a handfull of people who have to cover the entire store.

Through observation I determined that their only task is to move things around while minimizing interaction with customers.

However, there is a large sign stating that if you need help to press a button. The button acts like a quick dial to the staff in the tool department. It rings and rings. It is worth remembering that this person does not exist.

It then gives up and rings the switchboard. The way the call was answered indicates that they operator has no way of telling that this call originated within the store.

I politely make my request for someome to open the cage that is keeping my desired item away from me. I am told that she "will let them know".

Ten minutes later there is a page over the sound system for help in a different department. Five minutes later a staff member walks by. I make my request to have the cage opened to a real live person. All I get in response is "In a minute, I have to go to this other aisle first". I noticed that it was the aisle that the page was made for. I never saw her again. She might be dead.

I wait. Then I press the button requesting help again. I have an similar conversation to the one I had before.

Twenty five minutes after the original call a staff member walks by. I stop him and ask him if he can unlock the cage. Without saying a word he walks away, but he did return with the key!

He has to walk the item up to the cashier as I obviously can't be trusted. This five minute shopping trip has now been extended to half an hour.

If you are looking for friendly knowledgeable staff and an efficient shopping experience, look elsewhere.

Absolutely terrible service, the rude service manager behind the counter was not only rude and his whole demeanor showed he does not care about customers
when someone who is in a managenent position and tells someone who has been waiting 90 min for a service that was only supposed to take 45 min to "take your business elsewhere and get out" when i simply asked to speak to the one working on my car.he rudely replied with no and told me to get out

after receiving my car the tech said my one tire appears to be low if this was topped up with the nitrogen I had been waiting a long time for why was it low?

bottom line the service manager named STEVE, is not paitient, understanding or even a nice guy.from the moment i showed up he seemed short tempered.why is someone like that even working in customer service?

i am just blown away at how awful i was treated. I even had made an appointment quite a while in advance.

I will urge others to try a different canadian tire location as this place doesn't seem to have the first clue on what customer service is all about.

Appalled at the level of customer service at this establishment.
When I called at 5: 40 The customer service rep. I spoke with physically walked to the automotive counter to let them know I needed an answer regarding inventory due to the situation I was experiencing this evening. I sat on hold for over 25 minutes only for an employee to answer at 6: 05 and tell me they shut off all their computers and anyone who would have been able to help me had gone home because they closed at 6pm and that the manager was "too busy" for me. Thanks for ignoring a potential paying customer who would have previously recommended Canadian Tire. Now I will NOT recommend them at all!

Now I just love this place - the truth is it used to be a disorganized, run down, frustrating llace- but it has had a major, major overhaul. And I mean MAJOR. This Canadian Tire is very organized, very clean easy to navigate around the staff are now very well trained and knowledgeable and can direct you in almost any right direction anytime. The brand names are great and Canadian Tire has incredible service and warranty and return policies. I absolutely love what they've done to this place in the last couple of years. Huge turn around and I now come to Canadian Tire at this location before I go to Walmart, Rona or Home Depot or any other place. If I can get it at Canadian Tire I will now come to this location. I also have the triangle rewards MasterCard and it is absolutely incredible I love the features, the benefits and the advantages of equal monthly payments with no interest which allows me to get everything I need and afford it without being penalized for it. Thank you Canadian Tire and especially this location for making it by go to location for all my household needs and yard needs.

Very upset. Actually Not worth a single star!
Ordered winter tires 4 weeks ago. Got an appointment made for 2 weeks later to get tires installed. Took time off work (lost money) to be there for the scheduled appointment and when I got there I get told the tires are not even there yet. One of the first things you get asked is to provide a phone number. You can't phone to cancel? !? ! So I'm told I will receive a call when tires are arrived. 4 days pass.nothing. I phoned them to find out tires had arrived 2 day ago. That's not were it ends. I made a 2nd appointment on a Sunday to not loose anymore time at work. I dropped the car of at 10 am and got told it would take 1.5 to 2 hours. I went grocery shopping in the mean time. At about 11 o'clock I received a phone call to make sure these are the tires a want installed which I confirmed with a simple yes. Coming back to pick up my vehicle at noon (2hours later) to see that nothing had been done yet and being told that it would take another 2 hours. Needless to say I am taking my business elsewhere.

I bought new winter tires and rims for my new SUV, I spent over 1250 for them. Carey was helping me find the right fit and booked me in to change my tires. I come 30 mins early the day I am supposed to bring my car in, when I got there I was told I didn’t have an appointment but they got me in to change my tires. Waited for an hour at the store and then was told they couldn’t find my tires! They called me a week ago to tell me to pick up my new tires, and I told them to leave it at the shop since I will be getting them put on later in the month. During this incident, they weren’t in a rush to find them, leaving my file on the counter while helping other customers, I had to go to the counter to ask why are my tires missing and what’s happening. Finally they found my tires and put them on. It took 3 hours for this entire fiasco to happen when it should’ve taken less than an hour to get my tires changed. I’m not the type to review businesses but for me to be spending over 1200, it’s justified. I have filed a complaint and have heard nothing from the store managers.

Bought Purina Beneful Beef dry dog food probably 2 weeks ago. The bag was filled with maggots. I reached out to Purina immediately that day who were shocked and wanted to follow-up in all ways possible. I told my brother that night about my experience. He also has dogs and lives in close proximity to Dalhousie Cdn Tire. Before I could finish telling him my story - he said he had the same experience at the same store months earlier. He returned his bag of dog food for refund & his complaint was met with little interest or action on the part of Cdn. Tire's part-time customer service person. I did not return my dog food as I was so disgusted I just had to get it out of my house - depositing it as far away from my house as possible in a compost bin in the back alley. I do not think this is a Purina issue. They bent over backwards to accommodate and I have been buying their product for many years without incident. I believe this is a Cdn. Tire sanitary issue that needs to be addressed. I was with my daughter there last weekend to buy an xmas tree and after hearing my brothers similar complaint I checked the pet food isle. There are dead maggots on the shelving holding dry dog food. This store should not be selling food products at all until this issue is addressed. Nov 8 2018.

Auto motive section doesn't deserve a single start. Terrible customer service. Managers do not care if there techs/desk jockeys make mistakes. The last 2 times I've used them they created more problems with my vehicles they had before I took them in. Refuse to fix the real problem while they dig around and try to slime every dollar out of you. Does oil changes on cars that dont even run yet. Just to make that extra dime I guess.

The store is ok but there are never enough cashiers so plan on 20 min or more just to pay.
My biggest complaint is the car service, I took my car for a winter tire change and by mistake took the wrong tires. I asked them to buy new ones in the spot and they were very helpful with offering options but it was never mentioned that "In stock" doesn't mean "in that store". There was a big delay in one tire and they NEVER consider calling me to let me know. I was right there in the waiting room and not a word. By the time I asked, the tire was going to arrive super late and they didn't offer any options to help me out. I was in a panic since I needed to pick up my kids so left the store and pay for a taxi cab.my car was not ready until the following day.
This is not the first time Canadian Tire messes up with client service, decided to give them another chance and totally backfired.heard lots of complaints from other clients while waiting around, don't waste your time.it's not even cheaper.

Avoid at all cost! $185 and 2 hours to get my tires changed. Was told $25/tire and 30 minutes wait. Total rip off go anywhere else

I have been their customer for years. Never coming back after today.

Phoned in to book an appointment for a tire and oil change.

The appointment took over 3 hours (3hs20min to be exact) and when I came back for my car (nobody even called to tell me the car was done) they had only done the tire change, and the customer service representative (his name was Devon) told me I never booked the oil change because “he remembered the conversation very well” (his own words). Insinuating a customer is lying (when I wasn’t) is not okay.

Very expensive and terrible customer service.

I can’t believe management would send a senior citizen that works for them to collect shopping carts while two kids in their early 20s stand outside doing nothing trying to clean peoples car windows and promote a product. That is absolute bs to say the least. Not to mention all the yoyang people that work at this location that could go get the shopping carts instead of an old man. I talked to the old guy about this and he wasn’t very happy and told me that the young people are useless anyway. Seriously disrespectful to treat an old man this way and let the kids stand around and do nothing.

Auto service: Terrible customer service. Only concerned with when his shift ends. Lazy, rude and not helpful. I’d give a 0 if I could.

Found a nail sticking out of my tire, air is leaking so had you can hear it hissing. So I go in to get them to help me fix it so that I’m not stranded in the middle if nowhere. The clerk looked less than happy that I was standing in line. Then when I tell him what happened he says “we close in 20minutes, so no I’m not doing that. ” I ask what else I could do, is there a temporary patch that I could put on? He ignores my question and proceeds to tell me that it takes longer than 20 minutes to fix a hole, you have to put the car up and take the tire off and so, no.he wasnt going to do it. But I could leave the car overnight and they can do it tomorrow. I asked how long that would take and he shrugged and rolled his eyes!

I ended up calling AMA for help, and he fixed it in 15 minutes. So that means they are both incompetant and liars; both bad traits to have when their job is to fix your car.
