I came here for a battery charger for my SUV. I asked the parts guy to open the shelf to get one for my vehicle. He asked what kind of vehicle I had and proceeded to tell me to buy another one that was 3x full retail price at $130 because this was the right one I needed. I asked if there was a cheaper one and he said "no". I purchased it trusting the staff expertise and when I got home I realized it was a charger for marine/boat batteries. Returning to the store for a second time, I was promptly told a firm no-refund on battery chargers. Horrible experience.

Everyone that works at this store is super condescending, worst customer service I’ve received in a long time.

Get better staff

Terrible. First, why attach a Mark’s Work Warehouse and a Canadian Tire to only place metal fencing in the doorway and lock the entrances? I’m not convinced this is to fire code.

Secondly, I went here to have my wheels retorqued and they refused to do it, saying they will not longer take the liability. So I am to find someone who is willing or just go to where I had them done initially, in a different city? Come on, ridiculous. How about liability from their refusal to help me with my tires - what if something happens to me in my car due to their refusal? Thought this was a common courtesy all garages offer. Looks like Canadian Tire is no longer part of that group…

Always well stocked and great deals to be had. 100% reccomend signing up for their points card

This store is old and dirty. So disgusting in here.
DO NOT do any in-store or curb-side pickup because the wait at the store takes longer than going in and getting it yourself.

Got some work done on my vehicle and was called saying it was complete. When the mechanic brought the keys to the nice woman working at the counter, I tried to ask him a quick question. He walked away, told me to f off and that he was done working on my vehicle.unbelievable!
Then driving around the next day while sunny, went to grab my sunglasses from their holder in the vehicle and they were gone (I know it's my fault that I forgot them in there when I took my vehicle in) but too blatantly steal is completely ridiculous!
NEVER EVER go to this horrible store! Completely rude, unprofessional, and will steal from you if given the chance.

Terrible experience unfortunately. I went to this Canadian tire as I lived in the area and my brakes started to squeak. I'm not much of a car guru, however I figured something was wrong with my brake pads since they didn't squeak before. I took it in and they told me I needed new brake pads and brakes. $700.00 later I got them replaced. In the span of the next couple weeks, the squeaking never stopped. I took my car back in 2 more times, once saying the brakes were normal and to give it time, and the second time saying there was something wrong with the pads and I needed to get new ones again. I ended up getting new brake pads on again and gave it a few more weeks as they still squeaked. They ended up still squeaking so I took it in for a 4th time. This time they told me the type of brake pads they put on were meant to squeak and I would just have to put up with it. At no point did they ask me what type of brakes / brake pads I wanted nor did they inform me that they would still squeak. So $700.00 and multiple visits later, I left with a terrible experience and my brakes still squeaking even though that was my only concern. DO NOT GO HERE.

This Canadian tire is the weakest one out of all of them in Edmonton. That's my opinion. They almost never have what I'm looking for. 2/3 times

Bought humidifier (Honywell). It burned my fingers as it is faulty and poor design. The store wouldn’t return it in two days, and insisted on giving me store credit. What a joke! Don’t recommend dealing with this store ever.

Horrible ppl at this store. Harassment and unhelpful. Never going to shop at any canadian tore again. Manager was also part of the problem.

I bought a set of tires two years ago when in to get a flat fixed and apparently the warranty is up after two years and no free flat fix so they charged me 40 dollars for a plug terrible I could've bought a box of plugs for couple of dollars terrible costumer service never again and I've always bought my tires there not anymore.

I recently purchased an item from the Capilano store on November 9. On November 20, I noticed the item on sale in the flyer. I went back to the store with my receipt for a sale refund (commonly given at stores). I was informed that I could not receive the sale refund as the purchase was made 14 days ago. Was told their policy is 10 days, much less than most other stores. The option given was to return the item and purchase a new one at the sale price, which is ridiculous. I ended up going to the South Common location and they had no problem giving me the sale price refund. I will not return to the Capilano location. Wasted my time.

After booking an appointment to get tires mounted, they took almost half an hour to sort out how to put my information into their computer. Despite having booked an appointment and detailed what I needed done, they then told me that they did not have the ability to program the TPMS sensors that they would be installing.

While I was waiting, the service advisor told me that they had been missing their service manager for the last 5 months. Based on the chaos and lack of organization that I observed, this seems entirely likely.

Cindy was very rude and violent towards me when I was shopping there. I will never return and you can enjoy less sales.

Big store with lots of stock. Always have some sort of good sale on and the store is pet friendly! Definitely recommend coming here for the shopping experience, not too sure on the repair side as I haven't had to use their automotive repair services.

Called this Canadian Tire auto dept 4 times today to make an appointment to get 4 new tires and the brakes done on my truck but they keep hanging up on me. They would answer and ask me to hold, I would hold on line for 3-4 mins then they would pick up the phone and just hang it up. I though they may have pressed the wrong button or something so I called back and the same thing happened again. So I called back again and same thing, called back a again waited on hold for 5 mins and they did the same thing AGAIN and hung up on me. So after the 4th time I quite calling and called fountain tire. They picked up the phone right away booked me in and I ended up spending $2857.63 there. Your Loss CT!

Very slow in changing price.
Bird seeds did not have any price.
Lots of staff walking around but no idea where things are.
No shopping carts were to be found in store.
Had to buy out door salt in pails 2 of them and other things.
Took me over 15 minutes to find a cart.
Bought 2 pails and left the store, did not do any extra shopping.

Customer service said she hoped i end up in the ICU. I responded accordingly. I will never go to any canadian tire franchise for anything again. Amazon has everything. They've already beaten you guys. All your trash merch is from China anyways so its not different at all. Bye felicia.

This store does not honour mask exemptions. They will refuse service and demand that you leave immediately. They don't care if you have a medical exemption, they won't accept a face shield as an alternative, they won't even offer you curbside pickup. If you're not wearing a mask, they don't want your business. They don't make any effort to accommodate or even to be polite about it. In my encounter, they claimed that I was breaking the law by entering the store without a mask. They clearly have no understanding of laws or mandates or customer relations. I've spent a lot of money in this store over the years, and now I will never return. So it all worked out well for everyone. They don't need to respect my rights, and I don't need to buy their merchandise. Win Win!

This location (Capilano) is not honoring mask exemptions. They are more than willing to refuse you service.

The website said it was open till 7 PM but when I called the employee said it was closing at 4 PM. If the automotive dept is working at different times it should be shown that on the website. Employee was friendly and offered to help me on another day.

I found what I was looking for and was on my way. Thanks to the staff for helping me get the item off the top shelf:)

I like the curbside pick up at this location! Very fast, friendly, and efficient service.
Inside usually has a long line to pay or get keys cut so I would recommend curbside pickup

Staff is nice, but told me my appointment would take 1 hour.after 1.5 hours passed I asked how long it would take, they said it was almost done.it took another 3 hours after that.they did not call me once it was done either. I saw it was in the parking lot so I picked up my keys.if you have somewhere to be, don’t come here for auto service.

It's Canadian Tire. Stores are prettyich interchangeable, but the nice thing is this store usually has stock on things they run out of elsewhere.

Would not recommend the auto service. Got quoted a certain price for a timing belt replacement and ended up paying double the amount then first quoted. Also had the appointment booked on a Tuesday at 10: 00am, guy said it would be done within a couple of hours, called back at 4: 00pm since no one had called me to update me on the status of my car. Was told they hadn't order the part yet and would have to keep my car over night. Next day still no update on my car until finally I call once again at around 2: 00pm (put on hold for 7mins) for them to let me know my car is ready for pick up. Worst experience I have ever dealt with in customer service/auto repair service. Don't get your car fixed here!

I came in at 4: 55 and needed to get the tires of my moms car tires retorqued so we could drive it to Grande Prairie that night. I spoke with Omar in the service department who immediately came out and helped us. While doing so he also diagnosed a brake problem for us which helped us avoid problems during the drive. I was very glad we stopped in there and further pleased in the fullness of the assistance I was given. Well done Omar, you’ve been my super hero today.

A very helpful staff person who took the time to assist me in finding a new item which had just been delivered to their wearhouse.

Definitely worth the trip as I will certainly be making a return trip.

Great SERVICE thanks. Could not the item I wanted so asked at Customer Service, the store I was in was out of stock, stock rep gave 2 other stores close by that had them.

I've been going to this store for years. I have never had a problem until recently, The hardware manager has no idea what his doing. He had to ask a young man who was not a supervisor or manager to help him. Seems like he has no Canadian tire experience and no training he is supposed to be a manager but has no clue about simple things in his department. Normally the managers are very knowledgeable, but this gentle men didn't know anything about his department or the stores policy's.

Not safe, poor parts and poor service. Just needed the end of my block heater cord replaced. When I arrived for my appointment I was told it would take half an hour. After 45 minutes they still hadn’t started. Waited another 40 minutes until finally done. The next day the part they put on had shattered and when I returned I was told they would replace the $3 part for free but I would have to pay an additional $45 for labor for them to re-do it. On top of all that more than one staff person was not wearing a proper mask and one of them was the person who got in my car to move it. I ended up going elsewhere to get the job done a second time.

Smaller then the Manning location but that dosen't change the awesome staff. Great location yet quiet. Definitely a good stop for something quick or a longer list.

Now this one is the old favorite. Y'all are friendly and it feels like home. Lol. Right In the old backyard. This location always has soap at the door. Unlike the stupid huge store in South common.

Poor atmosphere, hard to find help, and was accused of stealing, receipt proved them wrong. Place is a mess!

Diana was very helpful on the phone and put something on hold at customer service for me. Customer service also very helpful.

My daughter was looking for her first pot set and knife set. The associate that helped us was absolutely helpful and took her time. I wish I knew her name so corporate knows she's great!

This canadian tire is usually quieter than the other canadain tire stores on the east side of Edmonton and in Sherwood park. They always have what I need in stock as well.

Spoke to a guy named Matt. Seemed to understand my problem. I just hope his supervisor follows up in the morning. I placed an order September 25, $346.48 the guy said. Been waiting and waiting, today, finally I call and they don't have a record of it? Only she can go in the deleted file keep your fingers crossed. They are car parts and I need them.

Brought up a covid related question and was told they don't get paid enough to worry about that. I would be avoiding this store at all costs. Especially customer service where they obviously don't get paid enough to care about the health and safety of its customers.

Guess it depends on which Canadian Tire we are talking about Capilano CA tire has good friendly knowledgeable staff but is a small store with limited stock Kingsway CA tire is the same for CA tire stores with all the same attributes but lots of stock and a huge selection Westend 98 Ave 178 st Manning Crossing, and Emerald drive in Sherwood park

Heads up everyone and learn from my experience. Don't want this to happen with anyone. Long story short, sold me a $250 tool which I found out was used when I opened it a few days later. Went back to return it and they blamed me for using it! And didn't return my money. After trying to prove myself, only gave me an in-store credit because now it's been used? What a scam! I know, I have no way to prove this but saying your opinion by giving your honest reviews here should be deemed true. Needless to say, never coming back here! (Don't even deserve that one star). PLEASE check your items right away after your purchase them.

I needed to buy a jerry can, I found and bought said jerry can. Can't ask for much more than that. The cashier was very friendly too, which is always appreciated

You can pretty much find everything you need for your vehicle here.if not they can get it.will definitely return for future purchases.

Everything is fine except auto service department. Did not do due diligence, let me leave the shop with a severely dangerous car that should have been automatically written off for the safety of myself and others on the road, even after well over $1000 in repairs, only telling me to come back for more repairs, brushing over the severity of everything extremely, taking advantage of a young girl that doesn't know anything about vehicles. Had to take it to a proper mechanic to find out my rad was completely unattached and about to fall off from damage, rust damage so bad on the underneath side that if I was in an accident my car would have crumpled in, wyatt link was super loose, as the proper mechanic actually took me into the shop to show me everything that was wrong.
Canadian Tire told me rad was "damaged" not unattached to the point you could slide it around. They forgot to put oil in my car after an oil change, then when I returned to have it fixed they put the wrong oil in the car.
Fought for weeks for money back to only get $282 of almost $1900. Will never step foot in here again and do not recommend taking your car here if you value your life.
