WORST SERVICE
I’m customer form last 4 years
Tomorrow I take appointment for change 2 tyres of 12: 30.today I give car keys at 12: 30. They said to wait 1 hour and after 1 hour my car still parked outside they don’t do anything in 1 hour on front desk guy (Manson) aruguments
Again at again and I just tell him you need to inform me if you need more time but you don’t inform me anything. They said you can take you car keys sometime it’s happened.they spoils my schedule.
They don’t said its my fault etc they speak wrongly some time its happen im not able to do anything the said now I need more 1 hour they don’t have manners to deal with customers. They take car 12: 30 & give back 3 o'clock. So there is no system.

Went in to try and redeem my purchase for triangle points since I forgot, was told I'd have to return item and re purchase it. Is this nuts? No wonder the website makes it impossible

Usually have what you need, my only complaint is that its difficult to find someone to help you if you need assistance. Hire more staff or more visible staff that dont hide from customers so they dont have to help anyone.

I mean it’s a Canadian tire, service is good and the place smells fondly of tires. As you might expect it is a wonderful place to go if you need mason jars labeled “decorative” that only seal for 6 months.

I have common sense and good at logistics and following instructions and read well.but this store has no staff and misleading signage on a 16' section. When I finally get someone to assist me in confirming the signage, I get attitude.
Not the typical Canadian Tire standards here. I personally would choose a different location and will not be returning there.

I have been shopping at this store since it opened up and it's close to where I live. I go there to shop for my household & garden needs as well as I use this store for RO water refills. This store has not been maintaining the water station despite of charging premium price for water refills. The rinse and sanitize station does not work nor does 2 of the 3 water fill up station. Out of three stations only one is functioning presently. Its unsafe, unsanitary and the apathy to upkeep the station has been horrendous. I waited at least a month to see any changes made before writing this review. I personally wouldn't be visiting my neighborhood store anymore rather fill in at Sherwood park as the water refills are only 99 cents if you spend upwards of ten dollars there which is very welcoming. There water station is clean, organized, sanitary and all stations including rinse & sanitize operational.

Canadian tire/M. T. C.was a quick shop as usual they always have a great selection of everything. YES they have a decent size of sil baking sheets.on location very good parking crazy size in and out when driving is good oh yeah they handle the big lines extremely well.

In short, we went in for 2 tires. We ran into incompetent staff that lied to try to cover up their mistakes. Skip the service department here.

We called them two weeks ago to see if they had the same tires we currently have on our AWD Equinox. They said they had 30 of them, so we made an appointment and asked that they put 2 tires on hold. Also booked an oil change.

Yesterday my wife and daughter dropped off the car and stated that we needed 2 tires changed (2 were bald 2 were only 18 months old with minimal kilometers on them.). My wife had a note with the tire size and model we needed. She showed it to the service rep and made sure they understood what tire we needed.

Hours later they called and said we needed 4 tires as the vehicle was AWD. I stated they could put on the 2 we ordered as the difference in tread thickness should not be an issue. They refused, stating "we don't do that". I asked how they could explain that they put 2 tires on the vehicle less than 18 months ago. She changed the subject and stated that she had spoken to everyone in the service department and that no one felt it was safe to do it. I asked her to put the tires in the trunk, so we could mount them ourselves.

We went to pick up the vehicle. The service rep stated that they had put only 2 tires on a AWD vehicle with different tread wear recently and that it came back within a week with a fist sized hole in the rear differential. I asked why my car with bald fronts and new rears didn't have a hole in the differential? It had been that way all summer after all. He changed the subject. I again asked how he explained the 2 tires this location had put on it 18 months ago. He changed the subject stating that the store has new ownership as of a year ago, and that policy had changed. I paid for the tires and oil change and left.

The tires they put in my trunk were winter mud and snow tires with an extremely aggressive knobby tread suitable for off-roading. They were essentially the opposite of the touring tire I owned. I went back in for a refund. The service rep stated that my wife had not specified what tire we wanted. I showed him the note she showed his counterpart. He changed the subject stating that the tire we had on the vehicle was discontinued and that no one in the city had any. One would assume that they would at least ask what tire we wanted? I thanked the tech for wasting my family's afternoon as I left.

On the way home I called the next closest Canadian Tire and asked if they had my tires. They stated the name of that tire had changed, but yes they could have my size in a couple of days. I asked about mounting only 2 of them and, as it should be, he stated as long as the tread thickness is close enough it would be no issue. An appointment was made. Excellent knowledgeable service at that location.

To summarize, someone forgot to put tires on hold. (No Biggie but be honest). They didn't know the tire had been rebranded. They lied about the tread thickness being the problem to try to cover up their mistake. After I angrily asked them to put the tires in the trunk so I could mount them, they randomly chose tires for us that would definitely destroy the differential if mounted. Multiple people were involved and knew the whole story.

Skip the Millwoods Canadian Tire Service Center. What a disaster.

BTW, I had Capilano Canadian Tire put 2 tires on today without issue. Helpful and friendly staff.

I really don't like going into Canadian Tire. On Sunday I witnessed a customer enter a screaming match with an associate. The associate broke down after the altercation and left the floor leaving a line up of customers. Another associate expected the customers to wait in line for someone else to come take over. #1 this customer was apparently an issue with other staff members and should have been asked to leave when the first argument took place. #2 the customer was a jerk of the highest order and nobody should have been left crying. #3 where was the store manager when this was taking place? I'm not kidding when I say the whole situation was just gratuitous abuse of the staff member and I felt genuinely bad for her.

Other incidents I've had while shopping at Canadian Tire Stores have included long line upside at the parts department. Cashiers yelling at customers because they're feeling rushed. Security guards demanding receipts from customers who are loading 150 lb bags of paid for Peet moss onto garden carts and refusing to help. Crowded ailes that don't leave room for social distancing and the list goes on.

These are first hand experiences and all that have happened to me in the last 18 months. When you attempt to call and complain or contact someone there is no number to call. Kinda done with that franchise and will shop anywhere but there wherever possible. The only reason I went on Sunday was because I needed batteries for my key fobs and it was early morning. The line up/altercation was at the parts department and frankly the last straw.

Went over to the parts department to ask about oil for my van.
I stood in line for 30 minutes behind the customer the cashier was dealing with the person ahead of me.after standing in line for 30 minutes and I get my turn the man looks at me and says I can't help you I have to go over to that line and help everybody.
I said I have a very simple question and I've been waiting here for 30 minutes and no one else was in the line when I got here.
The absolute worst Canadian Tire in Edmonton every single time I go there to talk to that parts department they are so ignorant and rude!
I will never come back to your store again

Poorly stocked and poorly run. The Canadian Tire app never seems to have the right information for just this store. Buying anything that's locked up is a trial, because none of the staff seem to have keys. You're forced to wait forever while they check the warehouse.

This place used to be good, but nowadays, save yourself the hassle and go to the South Common location.

Poor customer service. I went for price match the product I got 2 weeks before same product is now 50% off. I requested to look into it. The manager was so rude. She didn’t talk to me and went in 15 seconds. Never ever buy anything from them. They lost one customer and I don’t know how many they will.stay away from this store

No one around to ask for help. The app does not tell you the location of the items. Customer service at the auto parts is even worse, the cashiers passed by me twice and kept me waiting, she finally came but she was the rudest I have ever met.

The store itself is consistently well stocked. The South Common store has more variety but that is because it is a larger store.
The automotive department is backed up and low on supplies. Even trying to order between stores was turned down for shocks and struts for Mitsubishi Cars and Kia cars. Back order is all that could happen. Possibly due to the time of year as variety in snow tires is also in short supply.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The woman at the part department is really angry and rude to the customers to the point Ive seen her yelling at people. I dealt with her 3 times the first one she try to give me attitude but I didn't take it and took her forever to get a part, when she was going to handle it to me she dropped it on the floor and you could tell she was very p! Ssed FOR NO REASON.

She disappears for a long time looking for parts and keep people waiting in line just to tell you that they don't have it and you better off going to Napa or starts chatting with a coworker still not caring about the huge line waiting for parts SHE DOESN'T GIVE THE EFFORT TO CHECK FOR YOU IF IT ACTUALLY IS THERE OR WHETHER SOME OTHER STORES HAVE THE PARTS. If you don't like your job just get another one and give the chance to someone who cares.

Been to many Canadian tires that were great, the Mill Woods location in Edmonton is not one of those. The Canadian tire app told me the wrong headlight to buy and it didn’t fit in my car. I only got to find this out after the bulbs didn’t work. The return desk at Mill woods was unprofessional and unhelpful. The worst part is it never registered to the return lady that her store told me to buy the wrong light. I probably would have had better looking this up on a random website. After all this I call the Leduc location and they were more then will to accept the return. You deal with a Cheap Canadian tire location I guess you get the cheapest service too. You will never have my business again. Save the false “ We’re sorry to hear this” reply don’t want to hear it.

Absolutely never get your keys chipped here, absolute waste of time, it’s like they had no idea what they were even doing. Kept on saying it take five more minutes I was literally there for about an hour and 15 minutes.

Personally I found the configuration of the store to be quite confusing and illogical, but that is my only complaint! Great staff, clean store, I was in and out with exactly what I came for in less than 5 minutes. A nice surprise compared to the South Common location.

Shop some garden stuff went for a price match.lady went on computer search then second lady came search then third it took ages. I felt like I am a scammer.plus rather than money they will charge you your time so better to pay on regular till and move on.one item price was not matched because it was bit different that I totally get it (just to let you know I am not mad for this reason it was just $1 difference its cheaper on LOWs but I didn't bother to mention because I knew it will be more time waiting). So heads up if going for price match plan some 20-25 mins extra (bring some snacks). Auto service department - I don’t want to criticize the employee I was dealing with because I do believe he was trying his utmost, but the rest of the service department just seems terrible.

I came in for an oil change and for the tread depth on my wheels to be checked. Pretty routine and something I’d do myself if I had the time. They completely didn’t check the tread depth, yet they changed an air filter and oil filter they knew would get them paid.

The employees at the front desk, except for the one who took care of me, don’t even acknowledge anyone when they come in. The manager was insulting the new employee in a condescending tone right in front of the customers.

All in all, this place is a mess. I work in the automotive industry and though I don’t like the move to automizing fixed ops taking away a lot of people’s jobs, it’s experiences like this where I wish it would.

Returns in this location are like a nightmare. Went to the parts desk to return an faulty car part. Manager at a parts desk was on high tones from the very beginning and told me to go off to customer service. Girls at customer service were helpful, but then the customer service manager showed up. Absolutely useless, terrible experience, and extremely rude! If that's the way Canadian Tire chooses to deal with their customers, they better fix it before they lose all of them!

Utterly disgusted. Warning: dont read this if you are eating.
I just left the Millwoods location. While in store, in the outdoor living section of the store, as I walked down one of the MAIN isles, I looked to my right just as a man (who later told me his name was Dwayne, the STORE MANAGER) BLEW HIS NOSE without a tissue paper, directly onto the floor, or onto the lift, which he was standing on. One thumb on one nostril style. I was lucky to see every detail, so, no lunch for me today thanks. I cant get the image out of my mind. The other staff were helpful in giving me the number for a superior, but no one is answering. At any time, this is obviously incredibly disgusting and disrespectful (poor other people using the lift or who step in it. But during covid? Never shopping here again.

Bought a bike and the tire was warped so brought it back to get fixed and it was the worst customer service in my life, I would not recommend to anyone to by a bike or any machine from them. In all my 20 years in customer service and foods and hospitality, millwoods town centre CANADIAN TIRE is worst.

This store seems to be following different return policies than any other location and when I spoke to the manager on shift to try to understand why she was very rude and spoke down to me. Hopefully she at least treats her staff better than she does customers.

Went to a different location on my way home and they were happy to help me, so obviously it's this one location making things difficult for people.

It has become very stressful for sealed and packaged returns at this store. The returns associate was oblivious to her surroundings. While doing the transaction, she sauntered to another counter to pick up something utterly irrelevant to my transaction and then took her own sweet time talking to colleagues and completing transaction SLOWLY! Looks like she was not thorough, she was LAZY and unconcerned!

Every time I come here, I am stopped by staff for a different reason. Backpack too big, but three people with back packs walk by me as mine is being put in a locker. I have never spent more time shopping than it takes for them to lock up my backpack
If it's for theft prevention, you should lockup bras, wallets, strollers and pockets.

This is the worst store I've ever been to. Sad it has Canada in the name. No staff on floor to help you find what you're looking for. When you find one they give you an isle and it's not there. Last winter my alternator died and I had Canadian tire replace it and bought warranty. Then This winter found out it's not fully charging and I took it in, they want $150 for inspection $60 labor. Ontop of that when they replaced it my remote car starter hasn't worked since I only recently tried to use it and found out and they won't even fix that they want god knows how much for that. Not friendly and not helpfull at all.

I went back and asked for the manager or the boss of the lady I talked to. I explained him the situation and he arranged a mechanic to work over time to do my inspection.

Auto and parts has probably the worst customer service I’ve ever Experience I walked up to the counter and asked for an air filter the man then proceeds to argue with me saying that he already showed it to me, I told him I don’t know what he’s talking about this is my first time coming up to the counter. He then continues to argue with me in a hostile manner that he allready showed me the product. I then tried to make a complaint and they told me that he is the manager named Tom and there’s nothing they can do

For about 13 years I have never once seen an improvement in the customer service offered here. I feel bad for ANYONE who must return (or try too) any item they have paid for to this location. About 13 years ago, brand new out of the box my Dads never used.electric law mower wouldn’t even turn on.

He attempted to return it but hit a brick wall. The owner of this location wanted to try to fix it. Then wanted my Dad to drive around the city trying to find a place that would fix it. Like we are talking new just out of the box! In the end after a great deal of stress my dad decided to only speak with the corporate office.

I’ve had things stolen from my car while getting my tires changed, had them suggest I toss away good tires and just by new ones there. Refuse to my tires on.and once I took my car to another shop I was told my tires were fine to use and they switched them.

Last week I ran in there to return a roof rack (the staff wouldn’t help find the right one) so I bring it up and see the poor guy in front of me trying to make a return. (My dad even told me don’t even try with the millwoods store it’s awful) the poor guy even with proof of payment was refused a return because the cashier felt he had used the items (they looked brand new) she was snappy and rude.

I went up and in a sharp tone I was hit with. “did you use it? Because if you did I’m not taking it back” I said no but I had placed it on my car and could see it was to short. I showed her the side of the box I opened. The cashier opened the whole box with and destroyed it. She inspected it but to make sure I wasn’t a liar.and finally gave me my cash back (only pure luck here)

Be carefull when entering this store. I just moved into Edmonton and wanted to buy things for my new home. I walked in, put sanitizer on my hands and as I was looking up to see where I needed to go I heard someone behind me say, "Hey, you can't wear that backpack in here, can't you see the sign! " It was a security guard. I have no problem with their policies, but I did not like the rude, brisque way I was treated. Will not shop here again.

Tried to price match 4 LED spotlight with 2 other competitors, Lowe’s and Wayfair, and the manager, Bryan, was incredibly rude. Bryan would not accept the price match, and I had to show him Canadian Tire policy. Only then did he walk away and make his cashier finish the transaction. I ended up getting the discount. Not happy with the customer service.

We come to this Canadian tire because it is closest to our house. However, you can rarely find staff to help you and they never have more than 3 tills open.
Today it took us 20 mins to get someone to help us in the paint section. Then we stood in line at the tills and were told we had to go to customer service for price matching.because he paint guy noticed the wrong price coming up for the boxing day sale. Also only 3 tills open on BOXING DAY. By this point my husband and I (eight months pregnant btw) were very frustrated.
We had waiting 20 mins in paint, 15 mins for a cashier, and then sent to customer service and waited another 20 mins. Not impressed at all.

Specially for automotive sevice.the old guy who is at automotive service department.he doesnt even know what is customer satisfaction and moreover he dont even care about customer and they just want to make money.i wont suggest anybody to do any vehicle work from canadian tire.its worst experience for me.they just care about money not customer.they gonna show you its gonna charge this much but in the end the money amount is more than they said earlier.

The rating is only for the guy who was working on parts this morning, and there was less than one star rating I would've used it for him, The worse service I have ever got at a part department, the guy was so rude and arrogant, didn't care at all, and he was master know it all, not willing to help at all. Guys like this give a really bad reputation for the entire store, which I didn't even shop in.

Online ordering is a disaster. Pretty frustrating driving across the city to pickup something you've ordered only to find out that someone screwed up and didn't check or adjust the inventory amen it was wrong or someone received the stock onto inventory before they actually had it.

I can meet a random stranger on the street and joke about how this place has employees that go are basically superhuman at hiding. I have lived by this one for years and have consistently had bad experiences. Next to impossible to spend money, because you can’t find someone to help you find items that are in stock, but not on the shelf. It took over an hour to buy a toilet when we walked into the store with the product code. Tried to buy a drier vent that they had 60 in stock.but none on the shelf and couldn’t find it. Couldn’t find someone to open locked cases more times than I can count. Couldn’t buy their by the foot mat because I couldn’t find an employee. If you find someone, they will not help you. They will page someone who will never come. If you are leaving empty handed, which in my case is more often then not, you can not escape through the main doors because of the renovation that traps you behind a long line of people lucky enough to find some items. But there is two cashiers during a rush and that line is not moving. Tip to escape this place: There is a door in the automotive area. This door is not wheelchair or stroller friendly. If you cannot manually open a door, you will probably die here. The Canadian Tire at South Common is heaven compared to this one (and is average compared to anywhere else).

Was great experience with customer service.one of girl at return and exchange name simranpreet she helped me alot to buy a treadmill. Excellent customer service and hv patients and nice way to talk.

Hit and miss on what staff you run into. There was no one in seasonal and I almost had to tackle any associate to get any help. The help they did offer was to page someone to seasonal. No one ever showed up after two tries. Seems like the only people there who have time for you are those who are promoting the store credit card and who won't take no for an answer. The only reason to shop here is that they carry items I want to buy. But I don't shop here for the customer service.

Fully stocked with friendly staff and fast moving check outs. Bright and spacious and they have Real Fraser Fir C'mad tree's 4 sale.

Worst service you can ever receive.
This should be the logo of this store. When you reach at customer desk in parts section you can literally see the grim on their faces especially one guy name Wayne. They will try to discourage you to purchase any thing with their best abilities. But today my experience was worst of all times. I purchased tires online and reached to pick up at their stated time. First he asked me to come tomorrow as he is the only person working so that he can not help me. Then he told me without looking anything your order is not ready go back and come tomorrow. I told him that I have received an email regarding my order that it will be ready by 4: 00 pm in store. Then he replied that these online people are stupid who make such claims without knowing ground realities. (Now it is responsibility of canadian to figure out ground reality) Then he asked me print proof of purchase order. When i reached back with the print copy of purchase order from my car he was gone. Then another lady was there after looking back my documents she went to another guy for help. But she came back and informed me that as he is now the only working in parts section so he is also unabke to help you so come tomorrow or call customer service for help. This little example can show the worst experience you can have with online shopping at canadian tire and pick up at store.

Store has all whatever u want. Electroncs. And electrical items kitchen stuff sports stuff bikes lawn mover snow plower garden. Essentials car and interior paints.they have car repair shop also work boots tools also

This CT always has what I need and can't find at other CT'S. I enjoy shopping here.
The staff are not so pleasant, nor helpful or even caring, but I don't come for the staff nor could care less for their attitude.
How hard is it to know where your merchandises are located or do a simple look up instead of just pointing and saying "it's down there" and making me walk the whole store only to find that it's on the other side of the store.
I do like this store and will continue to shop here cause they always have stock of what I need and
there's always parking available which I like.

Today I went here to find a camping chair that was almost completely sold out in the city. I had my 3 month old son in a wrap and my 2 year old toddler holding my hand. As soon as I walked into the store I was greeted by an employee who not only took me to the exact location in the store where I could find them, but when they weren't there actually spent 15 minutes looking in the warehouse for me. He then apologized to me for the inconvenience as he carried the chair all the way to the till for me. He went above and beyond his job for me today and it was a great experience because of it. Thank you.

That is new and biggest store in edmonton they sell bikes camping stuff gardening stuff plumbing sports stuff workwear choes tools electronics.they car repair shop gas station also

Went to buy headlights for my car, they were under lick and key, but what was insulting is that they would not give them to me to buy, they took them to the cashier. Its a $30 headlight. I get if it was an actual expensive item, but seriously? It says sorry customer we think you could be a thief. But hey, we still value your business

Very busy location with a lot of products, at times the tills are slow but the staff is friendly and always willing to help.
