Canadian Tire

I've had several issues with automotive here and somehow I never learn my lesson. I purchased a full set of brakes preemptively for my vehicle and when I went to change them a year later I discovered they'd given me the wrong set of pads somehow. The automotive (maybe manager) seemed like they'd exchange them but when I went to customer service the manager was not as nice and she said that's my problem and I should've returned them the next day. This was just today's issue. I've had so many over the years.

Friendly staff, well organized place. The app really helps you find things in store while you are shopping (doesn't just say it's in stock, it tells you what isle and how many). The only real downer is that they have 6 tills, but only one is ever open, maybe customer service. But often there are 2-3 employees standing there talking.

This store is a very good addition to Sylvan Lake. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Simply cannot comprehend the lack of customer service in this establishment. Worst canadian tire around.

Tried to return a defective product within the time frame of returns (only a couple days) and within the warranty of the product. Manager refused to return defective product leaving me out $900 and no insulation in my home. Maybe if he had bothered to look and listen like the cashier did, he would clearly see there's a problem, I'm experienced with this product, it's a manufacture defect. I would have gladly exchanged for another as this was a blown hose destroying my floors, and heater I had also just bought which almost caused a fire (chemicals are flammable!). Never again will I bother at this location, I didn't drive from Red Deer to be ripped off and treated like garbage. Thank you for wasting my time, and money!

Terrible. Gotta be the worst Canadian tire ever. Nothing ever in stock when the 2 other stores in red deer have plenty. Nobody works here. Only one person on cash @ the “customer service” desk which makes returns a priority and not the people who have been waiting in line over 10 minutes wanting to actually spend money. Apparently we are not customers in need of service. Need to put a stick up beside the owner and other staff to see if they are actually moving. Id advise not to use this location if at all possible. -5stars. #dobetter

Last minute shopping for parts of my car staff allowed us to grab it quickly even though it's closing time already.

Me, my husband and my 3 children came in to buy a thermacell mosquito repellent. We were there on August 9th in the evening around 7-8pm. My daughter grabbed a mosquito repellent and was playing with it and sprayed it unbeknownst to us. An older lady with short hair blonde hair ran up to my daughter SCREAMING at her to not play with it unless she was purchasing it and proceeded to scold her. I agree. It was wrong of my young 6 year old daughter to do what she was doing, but to SCREAM and frighten my daughter is unacceptable. She was burrying her face between my legs and crying she was so scared as the lady continued screaming at her. Leave it up to me to discipline my child accordingly. What should have happened was you should have informed me without having to scream at my daughter. Unacceptable at all costs. Abusive as well

Poor management. Go somewhere else
Returned a hose that had a lifetime warranty 3 weeks after buying that had a hairline leak at the female end. Was not able to find my receipt. Judith at the returns counter did her best, but then management would not support me. Told me to come back during regular daytime hours to talk to someone in the office and was told that because I didn’t have the hose with me anymore they couldn’t do anything (they threw it out and acknowledged that). Received a snarky response from the general manager calling me a liar. Poor customer service overall. You’ve lost my business. I gave you multiple chances to make it right.

Got a flat tire and the staff helped me repair my tire! I thought i had to buy new ones but they insists on repairing it.

The one manager was very arrogant and would not let me buy a butane torch for soldering. Then proceed to follow us out.

Absolutely rude people. Tried to return a saw with a bent blade, and wouldn’t return my money, put it on a refund card good for a year.

I went in to buy a DeWalt set expecting just to be in and out in 5 mins but turned into waiting 15-20 mins cause the website showed a different price for the same model number, the manager was pretty disrespectful, definitely will not be here at this store again

Marissa (Cashier) is amazing. She answered all my questions and was very friendly. She has single handle resorted my faith in Canadian Tire. It went from a 3 star to 5 star in Sylvan Lake, I will be back again now

I went to buy a folding table they showed on sale for 24.99 got to the till it wasn’t on sale anymore and they wouldn’t honour the sale they were advertising on top. Won’t be going back here again

Went in to buy some play sand.went to cashier (not her fault, she was just doing her job). 10 bags rang in at 7.99 each, sign outside above sand says 6.99. Asked if they were going to honor the price.big fat NO more than once from cashier's manager. I know it was only $10 but $10 is $10. As we walk out the garden area lady says oh the price went up but we didn't change the sign, you guys can have it for $6.99. Too late we drove over to Walmart and got it cheaper than the $6.99 and much better customer service. Will think long and hard supporting this store again.

I was looking for a part for a battery to get a Seadoo started at the start of the season. The guy working at the automotive desk went way above and beyond to help. Thank you.

Went there to buy a dethatching lawnmower blade, the products went significantly up in price to almost 60$. Lowes charges in the 40's$ for the same product and it's not on sale

I just got to the store 4 min.late. I just had to make a quick little return on a car bulb, the staff would not let me in despite recognizing my presence. I drove at least 15 km for nothing. Their staff do not care at all about their customers obviously. I'd like to give them 0 stars. And it looked like the manager who came to the door to make sure they were locked, he just glanced at me and proceeded back into the store. Thanks for nothing.

Staff is incompetent and manager on duty was the most ignorant pr! Ck I've ever dealt with! No accountability for their incompetence and good thing I checked my receipt before leaving because I was overcharged by the under trained "customer service" desk agent.if you can even call it customer service! This is the worst CT store I have ever been to! I will be canceling my CC with them tomorrow because I'm so over the terrible treatment and even worse customer service! I'm done giving them another dime

Carol and a floor associate did their very best to find and track down a seasonal item today but couldn’t find it as it was still tucked away until spring … Carol called a sister store in Red Deer - several times - and had them touch one they had in stock! Over and beyond and grateful for her help! Thanks Carol! Appreciate you and all your efforts!
