Worst Canadian Tire in the city.

They sold me tires that were too small for my rims, and then refused to return and refund them even though they’re the ones who sold me the wrong size. The tires were never even touched after I bought them and they still wouldn’t return them.

I ended up having to speak with corporate who told me and I quote “I’m very sorry, you’ve been misinformed, you can definitely get a return and refund, we’ll have to contact the store and see why they’re refusing. ”

After talking to corporate and a few store managers they reluctantly let me return and refund them.

To add insult to injury, when I did finally find tires (from a different shop) that fit my rims, I decided to bring my car to this Canadian Tire to have them put on since they’re so close to me. I called the store a day in advance to make sure they were doing daily drop offs for tire swaps and I was told “yep no problem just bring your car in when we open at 8am and it should be done around 4: 30pm.

So I wake up early the next morning, bring my car and tires in to drop off at 8am, and when I go in to pay I’m asked “are you ok with leaving the car with us for 2-3 days? ” - huh? No…I was told I could drop off at 8am and it would be done by 4: 30. That’s the only reason I’m here so early.

The employee didn’t care what I was told on the phone the day before and simply shook his head and said “nope, can’t do that. ”

I still don’t have winter tires on my car and it’s been like 2 weeks. Their service has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. I can say confidently I have no intentions on going back here. I’ve literally been going to this Canadian Tire for my entire life but at this point I’d much rather drive across the city to a different one.

This place is a joke. Avoid it at all costs.p. S. MegaTire and Car Salon have been absolutely amazing to deal with. Go there for auto service instead even if it’s an extra 30 minute drive. Completely worth it.

There's just so much interesting stuff in here! You end buying more than you planned for. Staff are friendly and helpful. The place is clean and well organised. Christmas comes early here, I'll be back for sure.

The Staffs at the Customer Service are irresponsible- rude! I try to return bunch of items - Everything was fine until the last item she said: ” I scanned the receipt and it showed it was returned, I still have a lot customers waiting”- so who i im? How come it was returned while the item still in my card and where is return receipt?

They overcharged me for the labor fee, and they said that I need to replace at least two tires. It seems like they are obsessed with money. Canadian Tire $700, but Costco $140 lol

I went for a regular oil change to this store because I got a free coupon from a friend of mine. My vehicle did not have any issuethen they called me from their auto shop and recommended me an engine wash and steering wheel inspection for diagnosis any leakage. According to them there was a small leak. I trusted them I gave them permision to fix it. I paid about $300 for their service.
Now my vehicle leaks like rain. My car heater does not work. Canadian tire auto service damaged all my steering wheel and heating system. No body can undrestand what they are doing there.they are not able to find the problem and asked me another $1000 for fixing the damage which they did to me. I brought my car to other profesional technicians and now I end up having all steering wheel system including pump to be replaced and it will cost me at least $1500!
I complait and auto shop manager treated me with disgusting behavior.

This was one of the worst experiences I've had at Canadian Tire. When I first arrived I was helped by a sweet woman from parts who helped me lift the 80 pound jack into my cart, but when going through the checkout the cashier dropped the box back into the cart after scanning. This ripped an entire piece off the side, she did not apologize and did not seem to care at all. I stopped at the customer service desk to ask for a different one and was told to grab another cart and go back to parts. Parts then directed me to a middle isle where they are stacked. Every single box is broken and ripped. I return to customer service to retrieve my purchase as it was slightly less destroyed then the rest, just to stand there waiting for them to hand me back my receipt. This took 35 minutes. My whole lunch break was consumed with running around this Canadian Tire because no one could be bothered to help me. No apologies from anyone.

I wish i could give no star to this place. I went to their auto service on friday evening (today). There was this guy sitting at the front he is a leftie and ignored me for a long time and when my turn came he acted as if he did not want to provide any service. When someone comes to you guys with an issue with tjeir vehicle please try to be nice and helpful and not disrespect. I live nearby but am never giving my business to this place. Sincere request to the owner that please correct this kind of staff.

First, I normally never write negative reviews, as normally stuff gets sorted out when there is an issue. I ordered a piece of gym equipment. Received an email that it was ready for pick up at 8: 04am, went to pick it up at 3pm and was told it is not ready, (no email to state to not come). Apparently it was not brought down and they had no-one to drive the forklift. Phoned the Manager, and was told the same thing, I was also told I wouldn't understand about staffing issues, told oh well nothing could be done, told I wouldn't listen to the excuse (and at this point rightly so), I was told to come back again (as my time and gas is not valued as a client). No solution provided, just drive 27kms one way Again the next day. No idea if they will have staff tomorrow either. Customer Service is awful.

Staff didn’t seem very willing to help, and didn’t care enough to provide correct information regarding which car headlight bulb I needed. The lightbulb that I actually needed wasn’t even in stock. The Dalhousie location is so much better.

Standard Canadian Tire with large parking area and store. You can almost find anything you need in this store not including foods. It has service center and usually not that busy. It has garden center that's opened during summer.

I recently returned my purchased kitchen item, because I tried it out and concluded that the function is not good. The employee (return desk) that attended to me was very rude and impolite. She Unpacked the item roughly and did not pack it back properly basically throwing us the undone box. Passively aggressively telling us that the item cannot be returned. She acted like we were trying to abuse the return system, when in reality I was just honestly dissatisfied with the product. Very rude customer service. No patience!

I've taken my car to Canadian Tire once for a repair and I said I never go back.after recently relocating to AB I needed an out of province inspection done, decided because I don't know any mechanics here yet I'd go with CT for this.well I feel super taken advantage of and will NEVER be bringing my car here for any kind of service. I mine as well just buy a new car for what they're saying it'll cost me. Oh and the bonus $100 in other fees I was charged for shop supplies!? Didn't know I was paying for rags and gloves etc. Feel like that's a bit far fetched. Well done Canadian Tire, well done.

Do not take your cars here ppl! I've seen many many reviews about the shop. Kinda wish I had of read these before I took my car in

Did a coolant flush at this location. Good thing I checked the coolant level when i got home. The technician didn't even refill the reservoir to the minimum line. I had to purchase some coolant and top-up myself. Poor service quality and lack of attention to detail!

Just an absolutely horrible experience. The auto centre is useless. I went there with a flat. Buddy at the counter was more interested in explaining costs to me than fixing the problem. I just wanted a plug put in the tire.said he wouldn't do it.go get it fixed and come back.take it or leave it.no solutions.forget this place.don't waste your time or money.

Worse experience ever. Had a price tag for fresh plants on the shelf and when asked to purchase it for the same price they refused saying they havent put the price tag for the item I was purchasing. Very misleading. Had multiple people dealing with the issue including someone seem to be the manager in garden/tropicals and basically saying they cannot honor the price. There was no price tag for the item anywhere else in the building. To make things worse, an associate by the name Casper was trying to ask me to "calm down" and suggested to put the price tag right away and asked what I'm going to do then. I still waited to speak to a senior manager at which point I realised they're all trying to gang up on me to cover their mistake. When I was leaving the store after paying the wrong price, Casper says "I hope you got your $4 back" (which is the difference of the price). Definitely not the way to deal in a conflict. Before posting this review, I went through some of the previous reviews and it's no surprise I was treated this way. Go here only if you know what to get and dont ever ask for help. Brick and mortar stores are hanging by a thread already and experiences like this makes them closer to be extinct!

I bought lot of indoor plants from them. I specifically asked about return policy at the check out counter. It was told to me that they will take it back in one month as long as I return to same store. Today when I went back in 3 weeks the lady at counter showed me rules saying that they have No Return Policy for indoor plants. It was frustrating experience. Overall Canadian tyre returns have become headaches as compared to Home Depot n Walmart. Though they claim returns are easy and acceptable, it is not easy. 1. Today I found out no Indoor n annual plants return 2. You can not return plant from one store to another store even it is perennials 3. For other goods, if you try to return goods fro. One store to another store they dont like it as the store looses revenues. One of the csr was very from South Calgary store was blunt on expressing store policy. So Buyers Be Aware before you buy.

I bought a hanging plant basket yesterday and when I brought it home I discovered the plant is nearly dying so I brought it back to the shop for an exchange.
The staff said no refund or exchange for plants!
I said I bought it only two hours ago, I didn’t even do anything to it.
She said no refund no exchange! It is our policy!
Then I said I will never come back again.
Home Depot is one year guarantee for plants. I am so regret now why would I bought flowers from Canadian Tire?
The plant cost $ 26.00.
I would have give zero star.

They finally refunded me a $20 gift card. That’s not too bad.

My suggestion would be that you work on communication between employees in regards to paging over the intercom for customer assistance.
Normally I know what i am looking for and don't require help, however this particular time I had a question, as I was not familiar with the item. (I wanted to make sure I was buying the correct one)

17 minutes and 2 pages for assistance later, not one employee stopped to help me. Im going to assume it's because they are not familiar with that section, but i feel they could have still asked if I needed assistance or specifically paged whom ever worked in that area or was familiar with it.

Their appointment time is like a joke. I left my car for a simple oil change. I was told my vehicle will be ready after 1.5 hours but nothing was proceeded after one and half hours. What an awful mess

Really? Ordered online and my order got partly canceled because there is no stock just so that I can come in and find the item on aisle 58. What is the point for curbside pick up if I have to come into the store? So I went in for pick up and the stuff wasn't even ready! Does your staff need retraining or get fired? Complete failure.

Edit: This was one of the better Canadian Tires in Calgary.

Have had a struggle with their pick up in-store service. The estimates on their websites should not be trusted.it's been 3 hours since my order was supposed to be ready to be picked up, and still haven't been notified it is ready.

Took over 15 minutes to receive my order once it was finally ready, at 9am the next day. I could have picked my own order in the time I wasted waiting and calling to ask about my order.

And.if you have a problem with your order, their only recourse is to waste more time on the phone.

It was so packed with products in every isle there no way you could social distance with anyone, I feel bad for someone that might have mobility problems or even someone with a stroller would struggle to walk through here. Employees avoid you, oh and ALL the plants outside look like trash.

I got a.pack of solar lights pathway type.pack of 6 and I don't remember the price I paid. I was very excited that I had to be disappointed coz none of them lit up.none of it.it's 14 May and it's was very bright sunny day and yes none of it lite up. What should I do. I trusted this product so much that I threw and got rid of the receipt and box. Do now to CT Beacon Hill location will be give me a refund and do something?

I brought in my manual car to address a tire leak. I recently upgraded my shifter so it felt incredibly tight. However, after I took my car back, my shifter feels way more loose than before. It leads me to believe the apprentices don't take care of customer's cars and are actually very rough with it.

This location is terrible, I brought my vehicle in because it was shaking and told them I think I needed an alignment but I wasn’t sure as I don’t know much about cars. They did the alignment and ended up charging me $500 to fix another part/do the alignment. I don’t remember what the part was off the top of my head. They told me they would be doing a full check of the car which I interpreted as actually checking the car/seeing why it was shaking. My car was still shaking so I went to another location to get my tires balanced and was told there that Beacon hill should have done a full check of the car but didn’t and only checked fluid levels/tire pressure. They offered to do a ‘free inspection’ when I complained which was pretty much just someone driving the car and confirming it was shaking and stating I needed new back tires (again something that should have been caught initially in my opinion). I got a call from them after they did the tires trying to to get me to get an oil change despite me getting one less than 2 months ago and trying to get me to get a wheel alignment again even I tho I had gotten it done at their location not even 3 weeks prior. They also stated I needed to replace a ball joint which I believe should have been caught on one of the previous ‘inspections’.

I understand I don’t know a lot about cars but I spent a lot of money here and I honestly believe they were trying to rip me off. I wish I had just gone to another mechanic. I usually don’t leave bad reviews but this place is terrible, don’t go here.

Probably zero star for unprofessional mechanic team work.today I took my car for changing the winter tire and I had my summer tire already on rims, but unfortunately they didn’t fix one of the tire properly and they told me they did full inspection!

Very poor customer service!
When I entered the store with my mom, the employee immediately went to check my mother's backpack, believing that she stole something. How are we able to steal something before we even had time to walk around the store. In addition, they had to embarrass us in front of other customers and employees by accusing us loudly in an open area.

I do not recommend shopping here unless you want to be accused and disrespected.

DO NOT GET A VEHICLE INSPECTION HERE OR REPAIRS. I went here for a vehicle inspection and they told me I needed 5k worth of repairs. I went to Knibbe in Crowfoot they said my car is perfectly fine. Please go the the guys a Knibbe.they take good care of you. Canadian Tire will rip you off hard. Good thing I got my car checked at Knibbe.

I went to the store today. It is a pandemic, and our numbers are out of control. I expected to wait in line outside so they could control the crowds and keep people safe inside. However, no one was lined up as everyone was allowed in. Inside it was very crowded, no one (including the staff!) were following the directional arrows. I felt very unsafe, and I regret going to the store. Please adjust your safety measures in your location- and tell your staff to follow the rules that you have and encourage others to do so as well. I cut my trip short because of it and was stressed the whole time I was there.

Brought my car in to change over my tires to winter tires. I had an appointment, and was booked for 1 pm, it is almost 4 pm and I am still waiting. There is a guy in the tire center named Randy, who is very rude and belligerent. I basically watched him talk super loud and down to what looked like only minorities. He is extremely abrasive, and rude. I am normally very tolerant of everyone, but this guy is just too much. I will never bring my vehicle to this location ever again. Whoever is in charge of the tire centre needs to look who they have working here, if you hate your job so much, then LEAVE. The other guy was super nice, and thank goodness I just had to deal with him, I would have left otherwise.

I drove to Cochrane to get some shelving as Beacon Hill did not have the stock. While there I completed the rest of my shopping including getting 4 keys cut. Unfortunately 2 keys didn't work, but Beacon Hill manager refused to recut them, indicating I had to drive all the way back to Cochrane. I spoke with Cochrane customer service and he mentioned that they always fix other stores keys, no issues at all. Terrible service at Beacon Hill.
Looking at recent reviews, it seems there is a real issue with this stores customer service.

Nice store, but staff are clueless, you waste a lot of time going in circles and don't bother asking questions, as I have yet to find someone to know what my question is, and No this is not about racial stuff, it's about staff not trained properly, they truly have no idea, they are just people with uniforms all over the place.

I love this Canadian tire. The only downfall is that their customer service lady is super rude and not helpful at all over the phone. Usually when you go in same day and she talks to you she says “oh yeah- you called earlier! ” And is then helpful, but never apologizes for being rude and not helpful over the phone.
Last time I called she didn’t listen, kept interrupting and then said “there is literally nothing I can do for you”. Lol worst customer service person ever.

Tired of going to this store. Nothing is actually in stock if it shows inventory online. Looking to buy a couple of ice fishing rods and they are either, broken, reels missing, tips snapped off and just not having the inventory that appears on line. Customer service is so incredibly slow but maybe thats a business ploy so you run out of time and can’t return merchandise. Also tired of being shaken down by every charity and wax dealer outside the exit. When you can pretty much get every product they sell but better quality on Amazon and way way way easier returns, if needed, its actually surprising they are still in business. To the manager, go look at your ice fishing rods and tell me that’s acceptable.

I’ve been visiting this location since 7 years and I rarely use customer service and this time I had very bad experience. I bought skates from the country hills location. They did not fit well so I ordered new ones and picked them from beacon hills location. The customer service were very poor with very little communication telling me that these skates were dirty and they will not return them. I told them this is how I bought them. They did not bother to show any appreciation for a 7 years customer. I went to country hills had better experience and got my refund. From now on I will look for items in Amazon first and will try to limit my visits to Canadian tire.

I feel really sorry to say this, but after 4 years of interactions and observation I know I'm being fair based on my experience.

The only reason why I keep coming back to Canadian Tire is the possibility of financing using the Triangle card.

As a customer, I feel that I'm doing a favour to the store associates. They are not there to solve my problem: they are there to make sure I'm asking the right questions and doing as it pleases them.

I had several interactions in different stores and the issue seems to be company culture. I do understand that those people receive minimum wages and that they are working on the weekends, this is why I never complain in the store. As a career executive, I know it's not their fault: it's the leadership team's fault.

I will keep coming back but less and less, especially if another store starts offering to finance in 12-24 months, unless I see a huge improvement in customer's service, especially in auto parts.

I will give a last shot in a couple of weeks. Again, just because of the Triangle Card.

Ran out of Christmas lights for my tree. Since these are seasonal, I wasn't able to get the lights I wanted but considering Christmas is next week, that is not surprising. They still have some lights left but selection is very limited.

Aisles are tight due to all the stuff stacked in the middle. There is no rhyme or reason to items for sale in the flyer. Some not to be found at all.

Great location and great customer service. I have been to the one by Pacific Place in Marlborough, it’s horrible, it’s absolutely ridiculous. May be Canadian tire should cross train or do something about it.
