Pretty unimpressed with the service & kind of wishing I read the reviews prior to bringing my car in. I had an appointment book on Monday July 3rd at 11am for an inspection. When I called at 2pm, 3 hours after the appointment time, no one was really able to give me any information on what was going on with my car or if it had even been looked at. At 4 pm, they called me and told me that they had found a couple issues that needed to be fixed…5 hours after my original appt time, so I don’t really understand what the point of having an appt time is when my car isn’t even being looked at until 4-5 hours later. When the lady called me at 4pm, she told me they needed to order a couple parts for what needed to be fixed to where I then asked if my car needed to be kept overnight so I could make plans for transportation to work the next day. The girl on the phone replied with a tone that no, it will be done today & she’ll call me if anything changes to keep me updated, I thanked her for the call. At 7: 15pm I called to get an update on my car as I haven’t heard any updates in the 3 hours since we last spoke & the new lady on the phone told me that the parts needed to be ordered so it won’t be done till tomorrow. This is all fine, I understand things need to be ordered and might take some time but what annoyed me was I specifically asked if it needed to stay overnight & I was met with a rude response telling me no And if anything changes i would be called, which I was not. I was told she would call me in the morning to give me an update. It was now 12pm the next day by the time I decided to call them myself as I haven’t heard anything yet. The girl on the phone said she doesn’t know when it will be done but knows it’s being worked on. I then confirmed it is 100% being worked on as I have no trust at this point. 4 hours later it is now 4pm & I haven’t heard anything, so again, I called them myself. The girl on the phone said it was just done that moment…pretty convenient my car is done the moment I call…it was probably ready earlier & no one bothered to call me, AGAIN. She also told me on the phone that the technician working last night had to go home & had to finish this morning which is why they needed it overnight. So which is it? ! Did the technician need to leave or did you need to order parts? Either way, I obviously wasn’t getting the full truth. When I went to pick up the car, not one person apologized for the bad communication or inconvenience this caused on my part. Overall, this was a terrible experience & I’m deeply unimpressed with the lack of communication the entire time. Was told the wheels need to be torqued again after a certain amount of kilometres but I will be doing this somewhere else, as I will never be returning here. No kidding their rating is so low, I would give 0 stars if I could.

Not only does this Canadian tire suck but the number they reply to all complaint reviews is literally just their triangle rewards number? Do better.

I dropped my car off at Canadian Tire at 11: 30 am to change tires. I was told to pick up the car at 5 pm. I got here and the car is not ready. They said the car will be ready at 8 pm. I've never seen a worse attendant in my life. Bad service. I don't even recommend it to my enemy.

Always love this Canadian tire. I had to get paint and the staff directed me to exactly what I was looking for and helped guide me. Awesome service!

I have came here alot and the employees are very kind and helped me with exactly what I needed. They have great deals and there is an employee who has helped us a lot with finding things and makes our day! This is a great store and we will be coming here more often:)

Booked a tire change appointment for 9: 30am 3 weeks ago and was told it would take an hour to do. When I got there they told me they would need it until the end of the day.

If you have all day to leave your car there then this is the place for you with no guarantee that you’ll even get it by the end of the day. If you want to be efficient I would go elsewhere and if you want good customer service I would also go elsewhere.

Got my keys back because they could not give me a reason why they scheduled me in so early just to keep my car all day.

I won’t be taking my car back here again. Their service is slow, customer service is less than desirable. Lost a customer who’s gone here for years so great job!

Extremely disappointing. The auto shop was running at 110% and there’s no supervisor or manager to be found to assist. Clearly lacking leadership. I feel for the employees.

People at the self cashiers are arrogant and insulting. They speak to me like I'm a moron and then they talk smack with each other about me afterward and I can hear them clearly! I had a mind to go back and cause a huge scene. But waste my time on pathetic workers at your store. I'D rather just write a honest review. Such poor people skills. What poor service!

I need to rant and get this off my chest because this was one of the worst Auto service experiences I've ever had in my life. I ordered a set of tires and wheels online, thinking it would be easy to have them delivered to this location and serviced right there! Oh how I was wrong.

First off, the website said the wheels and tires where in stock. I ordered thinking it would be a few days wait. A week later.still nothing.two weeks later.still nothing. Everytime I called it seemed like no one had any idea what was happening and couldn't tell me when I'd get my order. One time I called for an update and the guy told me "no.you only ordered wheels, we can't service with just wheels and no tires", sir are you seriously trying to gaslight me and tell me I don't know what I ordered? Turns out they weren't actually in stock despite the website saying so, just lovely.

And the cherry on top, after I finally bring my car in to service it, they install the wrong tires. Yep. No idea how you mess that up. So I had to leave it for another night.

Please please please, if you are thinking about getting auto service from these people do not do it. Avoid at all costs. Canadian Tire is not serious about getting things right with their customers and they clearly just have not a clue in how to run a service department properly.

Large Canadian Tire location with an equally large outdoor area, at times more products are stacked unpacked than on shelf's making it hard to find items.

Terrible service. Changing tires took more than 24 hours. Left the car in the morning at 7: 45 and it was promised to be done by the end of the day. No calls till 18: 30, then I called - the tires were installed on the rims but there was nobody to put them on the car. It says the shop works till 21: 00. Bulshitting about the brakes and the need of alignment. My dash camera was hit by an employee and disconnected! The new tires were left with 20 psi instead of 33 psi recommended by the my car maker. Very very bad experience.

We were in the store to purchase lights for our Holiday Tree. There was a large variety and we were unsure as to what to buy. Avery, in the next section over, had her arms full of boxes. She dropped everything to come and guide us. It was clear that she knew what she was talking about, from her time in Customer Service. She mentioned that the ones we were looking at, had been returned often, and she recommended the Nova lights. They were much more expensive, however, her conviction about the other ones, made our decision clear. Avery is the type of customer service provider, that every store should have! They wouldn't tighten my girl's tire at a place called Canadian TIRE. So instead they'd rather her drive her vehicle with a loose tire over 30 mins to the original mechanic cause thats SO safe. Wonderful service:)

This is my local CT and I come in here often. 9/10 times the product I am looking for (that says it is available online in their store) is not there or not in stock at all. Staff make no effort to ask if you need assistance and I’m always having to hunt someone down to help me. Honestly just a frustrating experience and waste of time.

Auto repairs: do not bring your car here for servicing. Over priced. Have no moral or standard of service. Brought my car into nw location and they charged me to check my tires and repair them. They didn't fix the 1 of the 3 problems, when I called back to the NW location I was told I could go to the SW location for warranty (I live closer to the SW). When I arrived at the SW store they told me I would need to pay again or go back to the NW location. I walked out. Not how you do business. Will never step foot in here again.

Beware, however, as many leave that room a completely different person, if you can still even call them that, than that who walked in. Very Poor customer service. Was there for about 90 mins and not once did a single staff member approach to help me, even thou my hands were full and clearly interested to purchase more. Oh well their loss

Was looking for a food processor. Found it, but needed help lots of employees around, but only one asked me if I needed help. Her name was Anita and she was great! She grabbed a ladder and climbed up to grab it for me. I was very impressed with her customer service and how friendly she was. She changed my opinion on this location.

Terrible, saw Coleman instant up tent online, could pay but not pickup until 1230. No good had to leave at 11.1 available isle 53. Drive to store nothing in aisle 53. Spoke to clerk who said that he doubted I was right about 109.99 price. Had to pull website up on phone and show. He looked around, no we dont have one but our Pacific Mall store would most likely have it. Most likely right, 35 minute drive not happening. He said there inventory system better then his. In this day and age with ERP totally inexcusable. Canadian Tire horrible.

It seems like they have increased inventories a lot lately at this location. They have a good air hose with good pressure. Which is nice and much appreciated. Staff has always been helpful when you can find someone.
To much reliance on the self pay. I hate those friggen things. But hopefully stores will get back to serving customers again. So, other than that, it's a canti. About what you would expect.

Overall the service was great but I feel like they could've used a second cashier at customer service it was a long wait. Solid 15mins. There was a few in front of me but things could have been faster. I'm not mad a the cashier she did a wonderful job I just feel there were staff limitations, but could be because of covid. The lady was able to resolve my problem pretty quick, mastercraft tools and lifetime warranty is amazing!

I had my tires rotated at their Service Centre, even though as a Snap-On Tool dealer I knew that the consensus among dealers was that Canadian Tire was the bottom feeder of the automotive repair industry. However, I thought that they could handle something this simple.
I asked the service writer to torque the wheel nuts to 80 fps. I was rudely informed that the mechanic was so good that he could torque accurately without a torque wrench. After my insistence, the mechanic torqued the nuts without first loosening them off, thinking that I'd be stupid enough to not notice. When I torqued the wheel nuts myself, at a later date, the readings were from 35 to 115 fps. This uneven torquing can cause the rotors to warp when heated due to hard braking, something the service adviser didn't understand or care about. More brake rotor sales?
I've had many mechanics claim that they can use an impact wrench to 10fps accuracy. I have had many free lunches from mechanics who always lost that bet.
And to Customer Service: Please don't demean yourselves, by asking me to phone in because you are so upset about a bad review, and want to make everything rosy. If you were that concerned, you would have improved your quality of service long ago.

Finding help was a challenge, but once I found it, it was good. Noticed lots of people looking for help. There were lots of 'red shirts' but they didn't seem eager to assist.

Auto service staff are rude. They don't even look up to acknowledge when you walk in or even say hi until they are ready to help you. Booked an appt to get my tires changed and was told it would take 2.5 hours because the shop was already full, so not too sure what the point in making an appt is for? Re-booked my appt for the next morning as I had to work that evening and told the guy 8 am was too early as I work late nights until 2/3 am. His response was "don't we all, I've worked later hours than you" Will not be returning to your auto service center.

I had the BEST customer service ever. Was looking for a certain cooler that I saw on sale yesterday on line, asked a member to help, he said the sale was off as of this morning. So I bought a smaller one on sale, and as I was getting into my car the guy ran over and said that if I bought the other one threw customer service they would honor the sale price. This guy went above and beyond service. Awesome service!

Online product was showing 50 in stock. But after reaching there, I didn't find even a single one. No one helped me for 30 minutes. At the end talked to the manager. He said yes we have it in stock and told me to wait at the customer service while he get the item to me. After 30 minutes he came back empty saying item is out of stock and suggested me to buy another expensive item or go to some other CT location. I wasted full 2 hours for nothing at CT.

It’s in the smaller side of Canadian tire stores. Carries almost everything your looking for. Feels cramped and lighting is dim. A lot of the sporting goods are all over the place and not in proper order.

Virtually unable to manage inventory. Twice in one week their website was showing a product well in stock, called to confirm they had it, got confirmation, drove to the store and they were unable to find it or never had it in the first place. Store is a complete mess. The people working the floor appeared overwhelmed. Shop elsewhere.

The Richmond Road location has good inventory like the other locations but the staff are more helpful.

Update to my review, purchase at fuel station next to the store:

* convenient to where I live and shop
* easy access and exit to from the main roads
* price is less for premium compared with Shell, PetroCanada, Esso
* a senior Canadian Tire employee I met on an airplane trip said the fuel quality us the same as the above
* get Canadian Tire money!
* my phone number is acceptable to get access to Canadian Tire money purchases if I forget my CT card
* staff are very polite and helpful, such as Sue, who served me today

Got store pick up. Easy and friendly. Just don't do the lane for returns and go directly to the exit where the pickup are.there is a very small sign saying it, though then there is a full wall saying come here (but difficult to see from the entrance)

I bought a Dyson vacuum today from this location. I asked for a price match from one of the department supervisor who was less than helpful. I decided to ask if a store manage was working and I was directed to speak with Darren. I explained to Darren about my unpleasant and disappointing experience I had with one of his department supervisor. I explained my reason for buying my vacuum at Canadian tire and showed him the price match I was expecting to get from them. Canadian tire is usually a very easy store to shop at and deal with so this surprised me. Darren without hesitation went to the aisle, grabbed the Dyson and returned promptly to customer service where the staff was already taking care of my order. Darren apologized on behalf of his department supervisor and stated he would speak with them.

I did not ask for the supervisor to be punished etc, but I did go into details about what the supervisor said to me which I will not post as it my issue was resolved.

So in the end, I was very impressed with Darren and my experience with Canadian Tires price matching policy. I would not hesitate to shop there again for any other of my needs.

I would give a 5 star but the supervisor was very very bad.

I was shopping for a Leatherman Multi Tool. The associate was more concerned to stand by the ice skate blade sharper as it was closed and running than to help me. He did look up and found what I was looking for and showed me but them just went back to standing by the machine. He wasn't interested making a sale!

Stay away from this auto shop.they broke my sensor on my rim when installing 4 tires i bought from them then saying its my fault and i would be charged extra for it.i went to another CT shop and explained the situation with paper work they said they would fix the problem no charge but it wasn't done there and every shop is independently run, i have contacted head office CT they know about it and would not replace the broken TPM sensor at 60 dollar part even after i spent buying 4 new tires and labour to install.i do not respect them whatsoever and encourage anyone to think twice before leaving your vehicle with any CT unless you want a wrecked vehicle in return even after paying hundreds to them they are SOBS

Purchased tires on sale. Had to book an appointment for installation. No problem. Arrived early for my appointment for tire installation. I was told I had to leave them my vehicle for 4-6 hours. Not sure why it takes 4-6 hours to install tires. Or, why book an appointment? I left immediately. I drove to Canadian Tire McLeod location. Had the tires installed within the hour I left Richmond location. Thank you Canadian Tire McLeod location, you provided great service.

Last week I went ther to replace my tire from winter to all-season. And I booked the time at 1 on Monday.
So I left my car there and they said you would come back to pick up my car after 3 hours.
So I went back at 4 o'clock, but they didn't start any process until that time.
So I couldn't change my tire. There is terrible service at all.

I was there for uber inspection vehicle I have new car whit 2000 maillage and already I did the inspection in Edmonton and everything is perfect, but I need inspection vehicle for Calgary cause I moved to after he done he said you need to change the tire hahahah
I don’t know if he want to make business whit car has no issue, so the inspection failed, I ask the agent if it’s possible to change my plat license and he ask his manager and said yes, I sign for the amount that I will paid for inspection vehicle, and when it’s done they give me another check whit fees 14 cad change license plat at least he need to let me know that I need to pay.
After I go to another garage I did the inspection vehicle and it was perfect, he was wondering why Canadian tire ask me to change my winter tire hah

A hole opened up in my exhaust that made it deafening to drive my car. I took a brief look under the car and the tailpipe had broken off at the flange for the muffler. I took the car into the Canadian Tire Automotive Service Centre today to have them repair it. They insisted I needed a full exhaust inspection even though the problem was evident within 30 seconds of looking at it. Then when they called me with the estimate, I was floored! They said I needed to replace the entire exhaust system right from the manifold back, potentially costing up to $1700! I said no thank you and took the car to a professional muffler shop where they showed me how everything was still in good condition and all that needed to be fixed was a new flange welded in place. $260 and 30 mins in that shop the car was fixed and I was on my way.

Buyer beware, had I not had the wherewithal and some knowledge about what actually needed to be fixed this Canadian Tire automotive shop would have taken me the cleaners!

I struggle giving 5 to any mechanic shop, not because I have a problem with mechanics, but I always end up with more than expected. But, I think that is the nature of automotive repairs.

In any event, dealt with the shop the other day, and had a great experience with a mechanic named David. He was honest, detailed, and a great guy. The lady at the counter (whom I forget the name of, probably close to 50, albeit a total guess) was awesome as well.

I have wrote a good review about a Canadian Tire before, and I meant it. They get a lot of bad attention, but I think it is a numbers game. I. E. You fix way more cars, you are going to mathematically get more complaints.

Canadian Tire has yet to make a mistake for me, just my experience

I found a good sale on tires here but wasn't too impressed that they had to install the tires or they wouldn't honour the warranty. I was even less impressed when I had to leave my car for 2 days. That being said I did purchase the extended warranty as they do have a really good warranty program.

I’ve been dealing with the Canadian Tire at Richmond and they were TERRIBLE at customer service!
I bought a specific kind of paint there, when I went back they were all out order not coming in for a month. Weren’t willing to give me another similar paint at a small discount because of the inconvenience. When I called to see when the order was arriving, u was put on hold for half an hour!
THEIR CUSTOMERS SERVICE SUCKS!

Junior, sports manager, sport department, helped me with finding out my skate shoes size in other locations. And one lady, guided me to the right way and answered all my questions very patiently.

If you need auto parts and decent service go elsewhere. I have visited the auto parts desk several times over the years. Without fail I end up waiting more then 10 minutes just to be acknowledged even when there are no other customers around. When I finally get the attention of someone in the back they act as if I am bothering them and often are not much help.

Last week I bought a bag of sand. It was sealed and described as SAND. In previous years I have purchased sand and got good sharp granular sand that works well as ballast and to use for traction is stuck on ice. This year's product is finely grained such as one would find in a golf course bunker or a child's sandbox. This is not the product I was expecting or wanted.
