I ordered a couple parts from here. I was told when they come in I will be called. 8 days go by and no call. In that 8 days I called 3 times and the phone kept saying no one can take your call. Get ahold of customer service leave a note to have someone call me. Still nothing. Finally on day 8 get ahold of someone in parts. They said the part was there. I lost 3 days of work waiting for this part and the guy said he didn’t care and the part is here and I can come and get it. Horrible customer service and I would give 0 star if I could. Do not go to these guys as they don’t care and the attitude when I went in to order the part was negative. Worse place.
The worst auto service ever. The service I wanted was changing winter tires.one of the tires was off rim, so additional service of that tire. So, I made an appointment at the official homepage with exact time three weeks ahead. When I got there, they told me the appointment I made had no meaning to them. First comes gets first service. Luckily (in my mind at that time), I got there very early, even before the auto service center was opened (9: 00am). They told me I was forth (or fifth?) customer in line. I said ok, and started waiting. I traveled far from home, so I didn't dare think about going back home and rest, so I spent my time at other shopping centers. I was glad when I saw my car went in the garage at 11: 30am. I went to the restaurant and ate something and waited around 1: 30pm. No call. I went back to the garage and watched them working for a while. I noticed that the staffs driving finished cars out, and I watched over four cars came out. I went to the counter and asked them, and the service staff told me they were having a busy day. I was so disappointed, I told him I would just cancel the service and let me get my car so I could go home. He told me it was already processing, but I did not see my car sitting on the service deck (I could see through the garage doors which has clear parts like window). He insisted me to wait, and informed me they have a waiting room, which is hiding around the corner that no one can see. I went to the other customer counter to refund all the items I bought from the shop during my waiting (I was so upset carrying items expecting my car done earlier), and told the lady about how disappointed I was. As soon as I went to the customer service and told them my disappointment, the auto service staff came to me telling me that my car was done. It was 2: 40pm. I tried to be a good citizen and customer, and waited more than 5 hours, then they don't give a FXXX, and when I get upset and raise my voice and complain, they start working. Even though I don't know so much about car repair, I know how easy and fast it is to change tires especially when you have all the professional tools and tires are already on rims. There's no reason my turn needed to put behind to others especially when I arrived early, had a tire changing service only and waited for 5 hours without complaining. I don't want to be a person who raise a voice to get a service. And additionally, it costed $151.63. I don't know why they inspected my entire car as well, since I bought it on March this year (Certified used car from dealer shop), and completed 6 month regular inspection last month. I did not ask to inspect my car at all, the staff I spoke with did not mention it at all. Were they looking for something to charge me and failed? Just so awful service. I will never go back there ever again.
PLEASE DON'T GO TO CANADIAN TIRE WITH YOUR CAR. Don't say you didn't know: I purchased winter tires on October 22 at canadian tire. They told me if I don’t install with them I will not get the 6 years warranty. So I booked appointment for October 31 at McKenzie Towne canadian tire. On October 31st I went to the shop at 7: 30. I waited until they opened, did the paperwork and I went home waiting for a call to pick up my car. Around 5: 30 I received a text saying: unfortunately we cannot installed your tires today. I returned the tires. I will never set foot again.
Well organized, decently stocked, friendly staff, and great prices. Buying online and picking up in store is great for assuring you get what you need. The return policy is fantastic as well.
Were going to charge $2100 for new tires and installation. Found it $700 cheaper somewhere else with installation included! Educate yourself before using Canadian Tire.
Amazing service. We were in town for a Dr's appointment and suddenly had vehicle issues. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of really quickly, so we would be able to make it home. You guys are awesome
Came to grab oil for my Civic and filter. Ended up getting synthetic 0W/20 5liter jug. Need 5.7 liters but they don't sell the 1 liter jugs of 0W/20 in that brand so got some Lucus instead. Great upsale tactic
When to go have my rear tires changed and it took 2 and a half hours. They also put the wrong tires on and I had to go point it out to them and have them put the right ones on. When I went to go leave they also did not put my original tires in the bed of my truck like I asked.
As an avid party planner, Party City was one of my fave places to shop! The Party City staff and selection in this location is beyond poor quality. $30 for helium in 6 balloons and the helium doesnt keep the balloons floating longer than 6 hours, super disappointing to say the least. Staff have different priorities from what it seemed yesterday. I purchased this balloon order, was advised he couldnt start it right away as he was finishing something. Went to get other stuff in the store, come back and hes walking around, talking to his friends, i mean 5 of them were standing at the till chattin.so we stood off waiting patiently. I notice, one balloon bunch is missing the happy birthday balloon, quite obviously the most important balloon, had to ask about it, then have them dead laying on the floor 6 hrs later.super poor quality. Never shop there again!
Seems to be the messiest of all the Canadian Tire stores I have shopped at in Calgary.
I witnessed a bunch of young staff standing around and talking with each other and ignoring work. One of them knocked a box off a cart of inventory and then just kicked it aside.
I found only one for the items I was looking for but the store experience wasn't great.
The rent-a-cop here was a cross between paul blart and pure pyscho; i feel sorry for the poor cashier who has to suffer his bluster as she works to ring-up customers. He was just obnoxious. Do you really need this sort of security, Canadian Tire? It is very off putting. Experience was otherwise fine.
Very busy place, probably went to shop the wrong timing or probably thats the only location in that entire community, because it was so very busy with people everywhere and staffs were overwhelmed with activities. Had to find the stuff I was asking the staffs myself as the 2 guys kept sending me to the wrong stall/aisle.
I had an appt.made for 5: 00 for a simple tire rotation. Upon arrival I was advised it would be at least 2 hours, "maybe 3". They should notify you when making the appt that you will need to leave your vehicle if they aren't going to honor appt times. I was able to pick up my vehicle 3.5hrs later with no explanation other that that they were busy.
I got my vehicle home and when driving for the first time two days later there was a loud banging an shaking noise from the rear, they didn't do up the lugs on my rear tire! It almost fell off while driving, thankfully wasn't on the Deerfoot. Was able to pull over and tighten the free spinning lugs in time before me or someone else got hurt.
I called to speak to the service manager, and no reply for one week. I decided to take my complaint above that level and called and spoke with a duty manager, who took my information to provide to the Centre Manager and I was to be called back that that day.
It's now 3 days later and nothing. I never write poor reviews, but not only is this service and accountability terrible, the poor mechanical work even on something so simple put me and others in danger. Beware!
Staff refuse to price match other canadian retailers if not currently in stock in a calgary store. Went to another canadian tire and they did it no problem. 0 stars will never come back here. Go to another canadian tire if you need something.
Always a great place to shop. They have basically everything and great prices. Big fan of their Mastercard and 0% financing for 12 or 24 months. Only 4 stars because they forgot my tire install appt.at 730 PM. Was quite annoying unfortunately.
Great store, usually always find what we go in for. I do the vehicle maintenance for our trucks and SUV. So it great for the deals on oil and other part needs.
Going in was nice, they had their tire selection out and prices for different sizes displayed, but when I got up to the counter the tire department sales men seemed condescending and made a rude remark that made me not want to get tires from there
Bad inventory. Drove all the way to McKenzie to find that item which was available at their website. Staff that I approached are unfriendly. One of them gave wrong aisle directions only to find out items not in their store.
The staff were very attentive, extremely knowledgeable. I found an authentic ice box (fridge that uses blocked ice to keep food cold) in rusty condition and 1 tapping screw missing in hinge, was able to get all I needed to restore it.
UPDATE: tried to call the number provided and no answer from their corporate customer experience team. I tried.
My two stars are shutouts to the two staff in the auto department who helped me get a dog bed I was looking for - they were the friendliest. Other than them, this was probably the worst Canadian Tire experience I had at this location today. It seemed like they were understaffed as there was no one available or could be found when you needed help. When I found someone, they were of course in a completely different department so understandably, they had to call someone else. I went through countless people because the person that I was sent to go meet wouldn't have their scanner or keys so someone else needed to come. At check out, the cashier wasn't very friendly - probably because she was stressed with how busy it was in the store. I spent quite a bit and even then, no thanks or anything. Regardless, you're in customer service so a little effort from everyone wouldn't hurt. I'd recommend a different location than this one if you're looking for an enjoyable experience or just order online so you don't have to worry about what kind of help (or lack there of) you'll get.
Great location, good size, layout is reversed (automotive to the right) there's also a party city inside which is a little different.you can find your typical dollar store party items. Staff is helpful, I just wish there was a gas station at this location!

Customer service said they don't know how to do it and sent me to the auto desk, they then told me that's customer services job. Went back to customer service who still couldn't help me.
Interesting comment from guy at front desk as well, who told me he would "lose his job if he helped me with that". Your telling me you would lose your job for providing good customer service and helping someone out, yea okay lol. Would you lose your job if you went to grab something for me from the back as well? Learn what customer service is.
Took my car for alignment, after the job done the alignment was terrible with car changing lanes if you let go the steering wheel carefully. Brought the car back and job re-done. On same week, brought a flat tire to be fixed, they refused to fix it saying it was too close to the wall, while in fact it was 1 inch from wall and in between the threads. Took to another shop and the tire specialist laughed at the CT diagnostic and promptly fixed it. Very surprised with CT trying to push new tires instead of fixing a perfectly fine tire. Unfortunately I lost any trust on the auto services and will not be bringing my vehicles back.
Called auto service to get work done on my truck. Sat on hold for 47 mins and then they hung up on me. Don't bother wasting your time, other locations make your calls priority.
The automotive department ripped off and scammed my family multiple times. The most recent one, I noticed that my front right turn signal was burned and I needed to get a new bulb. They sold me the wrong bulb twice and the second time when I went back and explained to the technician what's happening he told me that it's not the bulb and most likely a wiring issue. He then explained to me how they charge $114 an hour and they would need 4-5 hours to fix the problem. I went home and decided to switch the bulbs around and what do you know the problem went from the right side to the left side. So I knew right there and then that they sold me the wrong bulb again. I returned to the store and bought another bulb and what do you know one of the bulbs was burned. The bottom line is they tried to charge me hundreds of dollars for a $6 repair.
I came this morning to get my tired fixed. They send me a message saying my tire was not repairable and that I should buy 4 tires as they didn't have the same type I have, It was going to cost me around $1,000. They said the puntured was close to the edge and that my tired was fixed one time before which is wrong because it was the first time I removed my tire from my SUV. Whatever they said didn't sound right. I went to integrity tire in Dauglasdale and they said it was not close to the edge and they repaired it for me. It is ok to make mistakes we all are not perfect but my recommendation next time double check your tires evaluation before talking to the customer. I won't bring my car here anymore. Also staff in the front looked like they didn't care about their job.
I was looking for 2 floor fans, it said there was 6 in stock, but really it was out of stock. Online I cancelled my orderes more then 24 hours to possibly pick up. This store seems to have a staff issue. But I still like CT. Sorry for this store, hope you doo better soon
Dropped my vehicle at the auto shop a few times in the past due to convenience, this last trip will be the last. Auto department had my car for 5 days with promises made to resolve and turned out nothing was completed and I had to go into the store to get my update as everyone appears to be on lunch when you call. From them having no record of my vehicle being in the shop for 5 days, to leaving a few messages with rep and manager requesting update and no call, to going into the store and being told by rep and manager that my order was cancelled for what ever reason and yet no call or update was ever provided to me. If I could give no stars I would. Avoid the headache when servicing your vehicle look elsewhere.
Wouldn’t help my stranded wife and daughter with a flat tire in the snow storm today. Said they would only help her if she bought 4 new tires from them. Extorting people in need should be a good business policy.
Took my car to the 130 Ave location. Asked for an inspection and to find any problems and let me know. They took 5 days to do an inspection and call back. They told me one issue and then I had to tell them numerous times about multiple issues I knew exist that they didn't find in their inspection.
They would call me to update me and then I'd have to ask if they looked at the other issues and they would pretend it's the first time they heard about it even though they should have documented it In their inspection and when I told them numerous times.
While completing the fix they broke stuff then charged me to fix it and instead of using next day shipping for parts they'd break they would take two weeks to come in.
After receiving my car back I'm not sure what I paid for because everything that was supposed to be fixed wasn't.
The engine light is still on A leak that was supposed to be fixed which causes the engine light to come on I paid to have fixed which it wasn't. They didn't consultant me before charging me for two below average low quality tires and just charged me for them without asking, or matching the current brand tires I had already on there after asking if it's alright To go ahead with The car still makes noise when it turns right, but they didn't find that in their inspection and said it's perfect and wouldn't listen when I told them about it and just said there's no issues The driver side headlight didn't work because of electrical issues I brought up numerous times to be told "it's just a connection issue we used brake cleaner to rinse it and it's fine" by multiple of their techs and the headlight still doesn't work
Would not recommend taking your vehicle here. Besides taking their time to work on it, gets parts in and then not fix anything while breaking stuff. Leave you wondering what you paid for when everything on your invoice was never fixed.
Also, when I asked the parts department for coolant for a Silverado 2500 HD was asked if it is a 2 door or 4 door which I replied crew cab and the tech asked again if it was 2 or 4 door. I should have known then to leave the store and not purchase anything. I also ask about a pair of windshield wipers if they are compatible which I was told "yes those are the ones" then they were not the ones. Not only can they not fix a vehicle they also can't recommend you parts or have any knowledge whatsoever about anything. So not only did I waste my time and money trying to fix my car I also wasted time and money driving back to return the items I purchased their parts department said was compatible.tldr: terrible experience, waste of money and time
Had the alternator, belt and battery changed 18 months ago at this location. Car died and had to have the alternator and belt changed again. Even though it was still under warranty they charged me over $600.00 claiming the new alternator cost more than the one that was under warranty. But I love how they tell everyone that has a complaint to call a 1-800 number, they obviously don't care
Tire repair. The work done was honest and professional. Everything went smooth and fast. The store has everything possible and enjoyable. The store is amazing. You can find almost every trincat available.
After over 48 hours I just paid for diagnostic and service auto work done on my vehicle. Immediately once I got the vehicle home it still has the exact same problem. Got the vehicle back to CT and the only worker in sight did not acknowledge me while scrolling on his phone for at least 5 minutes, I had to interrupt him to get any help (which he seemed reluctant to do). We were refused a refund after paying $600+ for no results and no explanation. Extremely dissatisfied and cannot afford this.

Wouldn't recommend this place, if you're doing a buy online and pickup. Kid tried to blame me for ordering stuff, that they couldn't get to in the back for another 24-48hrs. Cancelled and went to another CT store, where they had everything I needed.
Great place to buy all sorts of winter gears such as sleds and ice skates! Helpful staffs too! Wow I bought new ice skates that were on sale and I went on the last day of the sale (usually lasts a week). However, they charged me the full price when I went to pay. But I told them that the last day of the sale was that day so he ran back to check with the manager and came back and honored the sale pricing lol. Amazing service!
Well stocked store with lots of friendly employees. Specials are always available when you are looking for them. Nice big parking lot that is easy to use. I also like how their website tells you which aisle your product is in and how many are available for purchase.
I got home yesterday and I could hear air coming from my tire and when I looked I had screw in my tire. I called Canadian tire and told them, they were able to get me right in. 3: 45pm I noticed the screw and was at home again at 5pm having dinner.they did a great job for me.
It's the Christmas season and everything is crazy busy. Was looking for a very specific glue product. Lot of empty shelf for glue product? Have to assume issues with shipping.

The store itself is great but I had to leave this review as a one star because around the end of September/start of October (2020) I brought my vehicle in to get some winter tires for my vehicle. The tires are of great quality but the shoddy and downright dangerous work done by the technicians cannot go unnoticed.
My tires were inflated not to the recommended pressure available in the owners manual or on the door card but to the maximum tire pressure printed on the sidewall which is completely unsafe and unacceptable. This is taught in the most basic high school mechanics courses and should definitely be covered in employee training if it is not already. Secondly, my lug nuts were so over-torqued that the threads were completely destroyed and I have had to replace the studs and lug nuts which hold on the wheels at another repair shop. Potential customers beware of untrained technicians and unsafe work. To the management of this Canadian tire, these issues should be addressed and corrected. Unfortunately my business has certainly been lost and I would not feel safe having any of my vehicles worked on at this location or any other because of this situation.
