What a bunch of jokers work in this location. I booked the appointment for my auto service for Windermere Currents Edmonton location 8 am Saturday morning. As soon as I reach there I was told they don’t honour online appointments. I was told they have some system glitch that allows people to book appointments. But in reality it’s first come first serve basis. My dissatisfaction is they released me that they are doing me favour by fixing my car.is no appointment. I probably wouldn’t book the appointment to waste my and there time. “Guy at the front told me it’s franchised and we are part of corporation. So we have our own set of rules we don’t follow corporation rules. It’s first come first serve exactly his words” The front desk is not friendly at all. The guy speaks he is doing favour to everyone who is coming to ask anything to him. Bad bad experience. If it’s franchised then these kind of workers are giving bad name to your corporation. I know nothing is going to change. But at least people should know what are doing to deal at this location. Again there is no appointment thingy there. So make sure you go and get it fixed. It’s first come first serve. No Appointment what so ever. It’s just everybody trying to get the money and your time. It’s franchised not a corporation. You have to listen to front desk bragging at auto service. They will flex and can be rude to you. Enjoy your day at Canadian tire. Make sure you don’t book the appointment. Enjoy. And please Canadian Tire don’t write a number to call you. I have tried your 18 number to file a complaint. You 18 number doesn’t work.
I called the automotive service department to inquire about getting a block heater installed in my car. His response, word for word was. “Go to dealer” and I replied, “I’m asking if you can do it? ” He replies “we don’t want. ” in very broken English. So I called the different Canadian tire location and they said they can do it. No problem. Weird…
This place is huge! Has pretty much anything you need whether it be tools, automotive, household, sports or even pet food and accessories. The staff are amazing and always helpful! They just gotta get more pet toys that's the only negative thing I have to say about it
They will actually do as requested. Many tire shops today will tell you it’s their way or the highway. It's nice to have somewhere to go to get things done.
This Canadian Tire location is disappointing. Maybe it’s because I compare it to the South Common location. I thought for a Windermere location it would be a lot more high end. Overall it does the job but I avoid this location unless I have to go for inventory reasons
If your guys need more people do your paperwork, please go to tell your manager. Don’t complain that to me! You understand but I can’t! Bad time, bad experience!
Very big location! Spacious with a ton of the things we needed. We lived really close to here and loved it and now we come back whenever we are on the south west corner of the city. The only other Canadian tire in the city that’s better imo is the south Edmonton common one.
I have replaced 4 tires for my vehicle at CT Windermere. After replacement I have noticed all my Rims are scratched and Chipped. My vehicle was quite new and had perfectly fine Rims until I replaced the tires. They also damaged one of the TPMS, but after so much fight with Manager, he fixed it, but it doesn't work still.
When I told about this to the tire centre manager he was rude and not willing to accept the faults. I was thinking, since it's Canadian TIRE, they are tire professionals, but they are not. I made a mistake taking my vehicle to them, but never again. I have learned the lessons
Called to ask questions about a brake caliper replacement part, and Jakob was very helpful. When we drove to the store he had the part waiting and was very cheerful and professional. Great service!
I just spend 32 minutes in the Windermere Edmonton store attempting to purchase a $400 BBQ. I attended the store at 814 pm on Monday night, and after waiting for ten minutes in the seasonal department I flagged down a rep and asked for help. He stated he was helping someone else and would be back. He did not come back, and I observed him helping different, customer that arrived after us. I found a second rep and pointed directly at the bbq and told him I wanted to buy that one. He went to the back to retrieve it. As we waited I heard a female voice calling reps to customer service for carts twice, and then on the third time the same voice listed several first names, and added an angry NOW to the end of her direction. 5 minutes later I see my rep pushing carts with someone else, and he shuffled over and said someone else would help.no one else arrived. So just over 30 minutes later, with $400 left in my pocket, we left.
Customers are priorities, if carts are low one person can fix that.three years later and they still can't staff the store properly. I hate self check out, but clearly that the only way customers are going to get out of the store in a reasonable amount of time.
I am happy filipino workers are happy working there. They were all having fun in between isles. This is the kind of workplace I would dream of everywhere where employees have fun with each other. Have you ever walked in the isles of Walmart? Feels like, workers are not happy to work there.
Very bad experience at the repair center. They quote a lot difference than what they charge. Took them forever to fix a small thing. Everyone tells a different story. Very bad experience.
I was at the garden center this morning looking for tomato plant supports and only saw the bigger ones. I asked the gentleman working there if they had any smaller ones. I was expecting him to give the usual response I get whenever I ask if something is in stock - "sorry we only have whatever is out here ". To my surprise he said, "we received some yesterday, I'll go check in the warehouse". This is a great example of exceptional customer service. He came back a few minutes later with exactly the size I was looking for. I thanked him and asked the cashier what his name was. Thank you very much, Liam for your help this morning! It may seem like a small thing but it made a huge difference in how productive my weekend was going to be.
Had to do some searching to get help. I felt bad after seeing the foul look on a workers face because I was taking them away from stocking. Last time I checked, Canadian Tire was in the retail industry. You know, I buy, you sell. Everything else should come second. It makes me miss Rona. Their customer service is unreal. Always looking for customers to offer a hand.
Defiantly my go-to store. I like the location. Lot's of stuff! I like that you can look up where things are by the small tablets around the store. The staff are always very friendly too.
It was a lazy Sunday long weekend and I went to return a Unused item at Cdn tire Windermere. Misleading arrows at customer service I was waiting at Returns and cashier Sarah told me to go to register at Exit. I shop at Cdn tire Windermere at least 3 or 4 times a week and have done returns before. You can review my account She insisted I was at the wrong line and in fact argued for 10 mins about the direction arrows. Why? A simple apology would suffice as the return took 4 mins and she argued for 10 mins? Management.please follow up on the arrows from a Customer point of vision, NOT the cashier's point of convenience. Home Depot is a couple blocks away!
I went to this location for a seasonal tire change on Sept 21,2020. After 45 minutes, one associate told me that one wheel bolt is broken when they try to install my wheels.
I asked: what is the torque you applied, this guy asked several people and answered “ 100 lb.ft. ”
But the correct torque is 76 lb.ft for my 4 Runner. That’s why the bolt snapped into two pieces.
Then one manager told me, they are going to get the wheel bolt from somewhere else and fix my vehicle within the day. Fine. After 5 hours, they called me and I picked up my vehicle.
After that, on certain road, speed higher than 100km/h, I noticed the steeling wheel shakes. It was not too bad as 4Runner won’t go too fast.
Yesterday, I finally went to Costco to check my wheels after 6000 km. Costco techs found the wheel balance of two wheels were bad, one was way off balance. Costco fixed the problem at a reasonable price, $30. And Costco knows the correct torque number, which is printed on the work order.
Conclusion, It is a shame for Canadian Tire that they cannot even install tires correctly.
Probably the worst customer service at a canadian tire. Note, this was a tuesday early afternoon, few customers and plenty of staff.
We wanted to buy a rowing machine, and used the help button at the sporting goods area only to hear employees giggle and chat but not respond to us (sign clearly stated 2 way communication). Multiple associates walked by and said they would go find someone to help us. 15 mins later still no help so we went to customer service to ask for an associate. Was told to go back and wait, 20 minutes later still no associate, but finally one walking by and stopped to help.
The only pleasent experience was the cashier who was friendly and called the back to make sure the order was ready to pick up at curb side pick up location. It was not actually ready to go, another 10minutes of waiting. Sure we got it in the end, but clear communication goes along way.
Decent location has pretty much everything you need from a Canadian tire. Sometimes they are lacking in certain departments but other than that no complaints
AVOID >>> UNETHICAL & IMMORAL. Destroyed my points card and they Wouldn’t even do a return on a another points card, or a gift card on a big tool. They claimed it was automatically refunded to the original card which no longer even exists! Basically they rob you of money with their baloney points card system and that should be illegal! Its not cash and so then if its considered a gift card then it should have to go on a gift card at least if you lose or destroy your points card! But technically if a gift card is considered the same as cash in Alberta by law, then shouldn’t they be required by law to refund it as cash!?
Needless to say I kept my broken tool and walked out, refusing to ever buy from them again! DON’T buy their cheap worse than chineese made GARBAGE TOOLS ever! Support our local economy and buy good used second hand tools or go to gregg distributors for brand new tools and keep it truly Canadian!
This review is for the auto centre. I bought brand new winter tires from here and drove an hour from my hometown to pick them up and get them installed here. They put them on and tell me I'm good to go. $140 later I go and park, and an hour later I turn on my car and my tire sensor comes on saying I have a low, so I fill it up. I drive not even 30km and the tire sensor goes off again, so I stop to look and it's COMPLETELY FLAT. I could hear air escaping out of my tire. Of course they close early on Saturday so I had to put my dummy tire on myself in -40 weather I drove up on a dummy tire and had to drive back on the same dummy tire because they did not properly install my tires. Never coming back here. I wasted my time, money, and energy.
Got an email saying my Curbside pick up is ready. Drove there, only a PARTIAL of my order is ready. I have to drive there a second time the next day for another pick-up of the SAME order? !
Seriously, I put the order together so I can pick up everything TOGETHER in ONE trip!
Even the text message notification I received says order ready for pickup. AT LEAST reword ur text so I know only partially ready! NOT everyone lives close!
I like the idea of curb side pickups, and the live-tracking I get when I sign-in @ the pickup spot. But please update your system so customers do not have to come in multiple times! This is NOT amazon's more boxes = faster delivery. Thank you!
UPDATE: Canadian Tire cancelled my other half order, and said it's out of stock. Well, it's in stock when I ordered yesterday, and your online web page still says "in stock". Just BS.
5 Stars for the level of service by Joanna in the bikes department. She patiently helped me pick up the right size bike, seat & other accessories. I was also impressed by the friendliness demonstrated by her and another employee (don't know his name) with tattoos on his arm who helped me load the bike into my car. I've had consistent good service at this store.
Ordered WeatherTech floor liners for my Jeep through the Parts department! Staff were excellent and my floor liners were priced well and came quickly. They are custom cut and fit perfectly!
Fabulous inventory system. Find what you are looking for online go straight to where the item is in the store. Makes shopping super efficient and hassle free. In and out of the store quickly.
Always seem to have what I need. This one compared to a few other's around town seems to at least have a few more staff members to help you out if needed. Not having to play the hunt a staff person game when needed, lol. Good selection, good prices.
Called customer service got connected to a manger and put on hold then was hung up on all I wanted to know was if I can load my triangle card with the cash we get from canadian tire
This Canadian Tire has to be the largest, cleanest, friendliest Canadian Tire! Always has inventory, huge parking lot, lots of checkouts, and very easy to access. I highly recommend shopping here, eh!
