Canine Kingdom

Sad to say as much as I love the workers there and the way they treat my dogs. The new ownership isn’t the same. My dogs have been going for 7 years now and was affordable and understanding. Now they have completley ignited their “regulars” discount and now charge me over $30 more a day without even informing me or anything. Sad to say I will be finding a new affordable daycare which saddened me but 100$ a day is un reasonable for me was a great 7 years of memories!

My Larry has been attending canine kingdom for
Daycare and the occasional sleepover for a little over a year. We absolutely love it! He is a young boy with senior siblings at home who sometimes need a break for him, and he is always so tuckered out and happy when he gets home. I love all the regular updates and the staff are always super friendly and seem to genuinely like my dog. I took one of my older dogs for an assessment, which he didn’t pass, but they were incredibly kind about it and kept me updated and gave him lots of chances. I really appreciate the reassessment police and how much care they put in to admitting dogs as it gives me so much comfort that there is less of a chance of an accident between dogs that way. I’ve read other reviews being upset about that but I think it’s a really great thing! The facility is busy and sometimes booked up, but it’s for good reasons because they are so great. Thanks for always taking great care of my lare-bear!

Desperately wish we would’ve had a better experience here. Our almost 1 year old Aussie went in the other day for an assessment. We were a bit skeptic because you are not allowed to enter the building but our other friends dogs loved canine kingdom so we decided to trust them. We didn’t feel very welcomed upon arrival and the girl at the door didn’t even smile or say hi to our pup and seemed more concerned about us being able to pick up gus at their convenience. After 40 minutes we were told to come and pick up gus because he was anxious which reasonably so in a new environment with a lot of dogs, we wanted to leave him there longer to give him a fair chance to warm up but the texts we received concerned us so we had decided to leave work to pick him up. I tried to get more details from the first girl about his behaviour and we were told he did not want to interact what so ever and was “jumping up the walls” which is very unlike our boy. The owner very politely allowed us to see footage from his assessment which they told us they don’t normally do but for that we were grateful as the way they described our dogs behaviour wasnt adding up. Looking at the footage it was super sad to see our dog wanting to interact but was just hesitant as the other dogs had him surrounded at times (not in a bad way but anyone would be confused/hesitant surrounded by new people), I was very confused what the issue was as Gus did show some interest but understandably he was anxious but you could see he wanted to make an effort. Really wish they would’ve given our boy more time to warm up and more one on one time with the staff and more time with just a couple dogs so he could be more acquainted before entering the larger area, as I know he would’ve loved it there. I would only suggest this place if your dog is already well socialized with other dogs. The owner did hear our concerns and I hope going forward they try to spend more time with new dogs to comfort them in a new environment.

My Dog loves this place. She always has a smile on her face and now that she has a pal, she’s super stoked to play to her hearts content. All the people I’ve dealt with have been super friendly and professional.

I’ve been taking my dog here for the past few years and they are fantastic. The staff is always kind, personable, and efficient. My dog loves it. They separate the dogs based on play style/size which not all daycares do. Definitely recommend.

The staff here are so caring and compassionate. They really are wonderful to the dogs AND their customers. I will be higly reccomending this place to anyone who asks. They truly are a shining example of what a dog day care should be. Thank you to everyone who works there for all you do for our puppy and us.

I am sure this is a good daycare. When you call for information ask when they are booking assessments for. They are booking into December.

Be careful! They will asked you to do whole day assessment again if you don't go there over 30 days, even your dog have already been there over 1 year (We already spent $857 from Nov 2020 to Feb 2022.) and even you can't fit 30 days requirement because they are fully booked. That's all your fault. You need to do assessment again to get the right to make an reservation. If you question them with a question voice, they will terminate your service. But luckily, we have a lot of dog day cares with good reviews in Edmonton. They offer free assessment or half day assessment ($20) and also no reassessment policy. If you are very busy like us, I really suggest you try the other dog day care. They will keep telling you the other facilities doing the same thing. But I realized it's not true after I got more information about the other dog day care from my friends.
Here is our experience.

We want to book boarding for May long weekend. But they said we need to pass the assessment ($35) again then have right to book boarding for May long weekend. I asked if she can keep the space for me because it's long weekend it's easy to fully booked. She said " unfortunately, your dog need to pass the assessment first then you have right to book. Because it's over 30 days to come here so we need to do reassessment. " I told her I tried to book the end of March but it's fully booked.
So I ask if I can bring my dog for assessment this week. She said " unfortunately, not this week. " I said I really feel you just want to earn money from us. She explained it's police to help everyone play safe. I asked when She said "July" I was mad and raised up my voice " what are you talking about? " I want to make appointment for May, you want me to do assessment in July! " She said I can put you next Wednesday. But it doesn't work for us. Then I only can gave up. I didn't yell at her to ask for the other day for assessment. Actually, I almost cried
for so frustrating process to make an reservation. It's just a dog day care not applying a university program for my dog. They sent me an email to terminate service because I raised up my voice to question them. I deeply appreciate that. Because it made me to find the other dog day care which is willing to let me book assessment and boarding for long weekend at same time. I found most dog day care doesn't need to pay whole day assessment fee.

My pup has such a great time here. The staff are amazing! They snapchat so you can see your pup through the day. So cool

Love Canine Kingdom! They do online booking for daycare and grooming and take great care of our doggies. They even post pictures on social media of the doggies so you can see them playing with others.

I have been taking my pug here for daycare since he was old enough to attend! He gets so excited to jump in the car every single day and cries of excitement when we pull up to Canine Kingdom. I am so grateful for the peace of mind I have about his well being while I am at work or running errands. He's also been for several sleepovers and it has been a wonderful experience each time. The snapchat & instagram are also a wonderful feature - I have so many amazing photos of my fur baby! I am so grateful for Canine Kingdom:)

We have been taking our dog here for a few years now. She much prefers the company of humans so the option for the premium package works very well for our needs. Our dog is always happy when we pick her up which is great because she stresses out when away from home. The staff are great with her and we always know she’s being well cared for.

I was worried about finding a daycare for my dog because he has some anxiety + separation issues. After the first day, I knew it was the right choice. Bodhi LOVES coming to Canine Kingdom. When I pull up to call to let the staff know we're here, Bodhi whines with excitement - he just wants to get out of the car and into daycare, haha. He's always exhausted for the rest of the night so he must be playing his little heart out. Knowing he's in a safe space with staff who very obviously love dogs is so nice. Sadly we are moving + will have to find a different daycare closer to our new home, and I'm pretty certain nothing will compare to this one. The Instagram photos are amazing (!) - also, highly recommend just watching dogs come out and spotting their owner. It's hilarious and adorable.

Canine Kingdom is the absolute best. My puppy comes homes tired and happy. She is learning so much and loves to go. Canine Kingdom is wonderful and accommodating. Her sleepovers are filled with so much and I don’t have to worry when she’s there because I know she’s all taken care of and safe. Thank you CK Nova loves you!

I am torn about leaving a great review on here because itll be harder to get my dog in with more people trying to use this place.but they are incredible. We looked at about 6 different places, and none of them are even remotely comparable in the central/east side of edmonton. The owner and all staff are really really great, and have a fantastic response time! Our dog has been there about 6 or so times now and its a no brainer. We will be continuing with this place long term. Our dog drags us to get inside every time.

Canine Kingdom is consistently a top performer for the care of my dogs (Abby & Asker) and customer service for myself! This is my go-to for grooming and boarding. My dogs are always excited when they arrive at CK and are happily tired out after their overnight stays. Procedures are clear and followed each time and staff are pleasant and helpful to deal with. We will keep coming back! I also love seeing my dogs on the CK Instagram while I’m away - great feature!

I have taken my little dog there a few times now, and every time the groomer has done such a great job! Stewart always gets compliments on his haircut and i never worry when i drop him off. Even one time when i had to drop him off while he was going through some health issues, she took good care of him and cleaned up him nicely.i will always recommend this place

This was the first and last time I took my puppy for grooming, I wanted to try this place.
Not satisfied with grooming job, my puppy was still bit wet when I got him. I asked if they could trim his belly and genital area which might have taken only 5 to 10mins and they denied it, saying they are busy. They charged me $84 for shower and nail trim. I usually go to Puppy Love and they do a great job, even without asking for belly trim and genital trim they do for less than $84.
Wasted my money!

My sheltie looks better and better each time. I recommend giving them a try several times. Now the groomer knows my dog and it makes all the difference instead of jumping around from place to place just like a good stylist gets to know you and your hair

Really good staff and reasonable rates. Our dogs are always happy to come for grooming or a stay.

I have taken my doggo to a couple different places and he has never displayed the level of happiness and excitement as he does when we pull up to this place. They are flexible and attentive and play obedience/brain games with the dogs throughout the day!

Woody, our 3 yo rescued dog, loves going to daycare and we love that he is so well taken care of while we are away.

I can't say enough good things about the staff! The amount of patience and love they show your pups is unbelievable! They really helped my boy come out of his shell You know you have a happy pup when he whines excitedly all the way to daycare!

My puppy loves going so much that if he could he would jump out the window everytime he see's the building and when he comes home he is done for the day. All the staff that I have spoken to or met have been really friendly and very helpful especially when I have had to book a daycare day last minute.

This is the most amazing place you can take your dog for grooming, sleepovers and daycare. The staff are highly trained and so friendly. They love all the dogs they care for and also have excellent customer service. I wouldn’t go any where else! I’ve met Wael, the owner, and he takes so much pride in business
and I really appreciate the hard work he’s put into creating an amazing spot for our dogs! They feel like family to me now!

After 10 years we have found a groomer and haircut that both my wife and I, and our Maltipoo Mario fancies! He usually has behavioural issues after haircuts - has had no issues yet! Look forwarding to coming back again.

We have been taking our boy here for about 4 months once a week and he LOVES it. When I am taking him and ask him if he is excited for daycare, he cries and wanders around until we leave, just so excited to see his friends. The staff are all super friendly, know his name, know my name, easy communication (text, pet portal, phone, email) and overall just the best service. I brought in pupcakes for my boys birthday and they threw him a little party. They are always are taking and posting photos so you feel a bit included in their day. My pup is always tired when he gets home which is the best.

The staff is super amazing and it is such a relief to know that my pup is really taken care of. She has a great time with the other dogs and loves so many of the employees. Highly recommend!

I’ve been taking Roxy here to get hair, nails & shampoo done every couple months for the past year. They always do a fantastic job at a reasonable price and you don’t have to book 6 months out like some dog groomers. She always comes out looking like a million bucks! Highly recommend Canine Kingdom to anyone looking for a new dog groomer. I’ve never used their daycare services but if they treat it the same as they treat the grooming then it should be spot on.

I have a special needs, high energy dog that I hesitate to let people look after. She can be a handful for people to deal with, and I worry about her all the time. Necessity led me to have her boarded over this past weekend. Canine Kingdom was very welcoming of my special case and answered all my concerns and questions, and put me at ease. The experience was fabulous. I loved all of the options and add ons for my pet while she was staying with them and opted for her to get a bedtime snack every night. My dog had a wonderful time and came home tired and happy. Now I'm thinking about taking her for day care while I'm at work. Truly a great experience.

My dog has been going to Canine Kingdom for a few months now, for both daycare and boarding, and he loves it! And do do we!) He's a rescue dog who's dealing with quite a bit of fear and anxiety, and he suddenly became very fearful and unwilling to go yo his last daycare one day. In contrast, he gets SO EXCITED to go to Canine Kingdom! It's a fun day/week for him-somewhere he *gets* to go rather than somewhere he *has* to go.

I mentioned above that he's an anxious guy, but he just adores all of the staff at Canine Kingdom, and they take such great care of him. Between our training at home and his consistently positive experiences at Canine Kingdom, his anxiety has noticeably decreased over the past few months. I really appreciate the staff's willingness to meet him where he is and provide comfort and cuddles. The pick-up/drop-off service has also been a lifesaver. Instead of getting upset when we drop him off, we can avoid the anxiety altogether by having them pick him up-he just runs and jumps into the van. It's super convenient, too!

I know that these folks are doing this because they love dogs, and not just to make a buck. When Rupert started at daycare, the owner actually advised us *not* to bring him too many days out of the week, as that could be overwhelming to a shy/lower-energy dog.

I can't say enough good things about Canine Kingdom, but I know that our guy is safe and loved with them, and we really trust them to do an amazing job. Thank you!)

This is an amazing facility for dogs. I've been using them for daycare for the last year-and-a-half. Nice indoor facility and the staff is the greatest! They take lots of pictures for social media of your dog and are always willing to help

These guys are amazing! I couldn’t imagine leaving Teddy with anyone else while we are unable to be with him. They love Teddy and he loves them! Highly recommend!

Thanks so much for taking excellent care of my fur baby Walter. Super friendly staff, great service, they gave Walter his medication and even hand fed him when he was slow to eat. I will definitely be using this facility again in the near future. Walter loved it there.

Place is awesome I bring my American bulldog Duncan here for his sleepovers and for doggie daycare. They have a great mix of dogs for my energetic guy to play with as he’s like the energy bunny none stop go. They’re always on the ball with pictures and letting me know how he did for the day. Duncan loves coming here and I love it that I have a place that’s close by that he can burn off his puppy energy. The hours are perfect for anyone and the rates are very competitive.

Very friendly staff, my dog is always eager to go there and play with different friends each time. Place is also very clean.

Canine Kingdom has the most kind and professional staff that really care about the wonderful dogs that are under their care, whether it is in daily doggie-care or overnight or long-term kenneling. I am always assured that my dog Jack is safe, happy and loved (and of course being tuckered out at the end of a day of playing is a bonus for the pooch and owner!:) They also do the most amazing job with grooming! I recommend Canine Kingdom to anyone who loves their fur-baby!
