Amazing experience with a great guide. Was initially afraid to do this, due to claustrophobia, but I’m glad I did. Highly recommend.

I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try something a little crazy while still feeling safe and going outside your comfort zone, my guide was Brent and he made the experience so good, from how personable he was to breaking out top notch dad jokes on the fly and also how knowledgeable he was about the cave. At one point we sat in the dark and he said I know every rock in this cave so I challenged that and pointed out a rock in the dark and he explained everything about that particular rock how it felt, the drop off beside it and it’s size. He really knows every rock! 11/10 would recommend this experience. Thanks for a fantastic day!

We had an incredible time exploring the cave with John, our tour guide! He was very knowledgeable, approachable, and fun. I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked the tour, and it turned out to be the most amazing experience and adventure. We were able to fully explore the cave, climb through some very tight spaces, see some breathtaking rock formations, and learn more about the history of it all. Will definitely do it again! Highly recommend choosing the tour with the rappel, it was such a cool experience!

Our tour guide Annie was absolutely fantastic! We were expecting a tour similar to those in Mammoth Cave with minimal physical activity, but this greatly surpassed our expectations! We geared up and got to slide, squeeze, climb, and explore the cave on our explorer tour. This is a great option for experienced AND less experienced adventurers

Amazing experience in Canmore! We did the Explorer Tour with our guide John. John is who made the experience a 10/10 for us, as he was friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and funny! Definitely a physically challenging experience, but do-able for the average person. Would recommend!:)

Canmore Cave Tour is THE experience to do while in the area. This is not a walking tour of a cave. This is full on caving/spelunking. It all starts with a fabulous well-paced hike up to Rat's Nest Cave. The breathtaking views begin to set intentions for an experience of a lifetime. While in the cave, you'll experience feelings likely never before. It truly was majestic with every step, scoot, and slide. Brett, our guide is a true leader. Without skipping a beat he was able to manage the entire groups level of comfort and guide us to receive the fullest experience based on our capabilities. Most important of all, he ensured everyone was safe and having the time of their lives! It's also valuable to mention that everyone at Canmore Cave Tours stewards the protection of these delicate natural boundaries, preserving them for all generations to share within the experience. Right from our booking to our arrival to our tour, everything was excellent. Brent, our tour guide was amazing answering our questions and giving us a memory we will always remember.

What a great experience! Our guide, Calvin made our day. Repelling underground for six stories or squeezing into confined spaces would otherwise be an anxiety inducting experience, but Calvin inspired confidence in our abilities and supported us in the trouble spots as needed. Even though we were doing extreme things, we always felt very safe. On the way out we even got to see Chewy, the adorable cave rat! Definitely recommending the 6 hour tour to others as you get to do more fun stuff in the cave.

This was a great adventure! We have been on cave walks before but this one was so different. We crawled, squeezed and wiggled through some tight spaces to see the beautiful sights!

Today my boyfriend and I did the adventure tour with Brent. Amazing experience! Got to spend 4 hours in the caves, and got to do some advanced rappelling, and squeezing through tiny spaces! It was awesome because we were able to pick what level we were comfortable with and got to explore lots. Brent was very knowledgeable and was the best guide. Helped me build up my confidence with some of the smaller spaces i wanted to try and was super helpful. We had so much fun and would recommend this to anyone seeking an adventure!

John our guide leading the tour, he is experienced and knowledgeable about the cave's history, geology, and ecology. He provided safety instructions and advice throughout the tour, ensuring that we are equipped with the necessary gear and equipment.

This was an absolutely amazing cave experience. I’m so glad we booked this. Shy was super informative and challenged us while underground which made the experience so much better. It is a small uphill hike but we went slow and she talked about the history and fun facts. Highly recommend!

Our caving adventure was fantastic. It was a more a psychological test than physical. However some fitness won’t be a bad idea especially with the tight squeezes. It was an all out trek into a natural terrain from the car park to the end of the experience. It’s definitely not for everyone and affording the cost made me feel very privileged and grateful, but it costs the same for couple of movie dates with food and drinks. This experience changed my perspective of life and made me realize how tiny I am compared to a centimetre of straw growth in this cave:)

Fantastic experience right in my backyard! Most Albertans don't even know this opportunity is available to them, and Canmore Cave Tours made sure that the experience was memorable. Our guide John was patient with everyone in our group, especially those who has phobias, and took the time to share the facts about the cave and what was coming up next. We had lost of time to enjoy spaces in the Rats Nest Cave while on our 6 hour tour. The best part was when we repelled down 6 stories into the darkness! Again, John made sure everyone was comfortable and safe at all times. Great activity to try the next time you're passing through Canmore.

We participated in the explorers tour and it was well worth it. The caves are beautiful and not to difficult to navigate. Some of the tightest spots were tricky for the taller folk like myself but managed to make it through everything alright.

Our guide Tiffany was excellent. I am a geologist and generally I find tour guides provide very rudimentary descriptions of how these types of landscapes form. Tiffany’s knowledge was so impressive I was convinced she was a geologist herself. She easily went into in depth discussions with me about the mineralogy and structures we were seeing on the climb.

All around an amazing adventure and highly recommended!

The experience today was phenomenal. Max our guide was smart funny and caring. The experience was miles above expectation. Highly, highly recommend. Do it, it’s scary in parts but such a sense of achievement and incredible to see

Had a seriously incredible experience. Our tour guide Brent was honestly SO awesome. Definetly should do the full adventure tour it's worth the price difference. It really exceeded my expectations and feel like anyone who likes adventures and has an interest in nature should do this

I had some knowledge of caving going into this tour, but the experience was still far up and above my expectations! Our guide, Max, is so knowledgeable and passionate about caving, geology, and outdoor adventuring and he made us feel so at ease while we were squeezing through impossibly narrow crevices. We loved the whole experience and are now definitely interested in doing more caving in the future.

The approach to the cave entrance is a fairly short hike (30-45min depending on your fitness level) with some beautiful views. It was however quite icy even during the first week of March; the company does provide crampons but it's best to bring your own if you have small feet.

In an adventure week full of bungee jumping, skydiving and sightseeing, this was the unexpected high point. We didnt expect to see or do half of what we got to experience. Be prepared to do some proper caving! HyunHo was one of the best guides I've met in the rockies, he knew every plant and rock along the trail, what was in every corner of the cave and was more than happy to talk about any of it all day long

Canmore Cave Tours is a must do if you love adventure. Perfect for if you have never been caving before, as the guides are extremely competent. Not only did we have fun crawling and climbing through the cave, our guide Alex was also very knowledgeable about the area and the cave.
