Peter gives exceptional customer service. We are very happy with our new espresso machine. The store has beautiful high end machines. Fantastic customer care. Peter takes the time to answer questions for customers. Prices are fair.

Awesome selection of monin syrups. Glad we ventured their and scoped it out. Crazy looking cappuccino machines. Really nice store and super friendly staff. We will be back for more flavors.

Staff was nice, but what kinda business person sells coffee beans and coffee machines but not coffee you are missing out on some good revenue its a great location right on the corner in an up incoming neighborhood. I walked in, fancy place willing to pay for an expensive cup of joe but they didn't sell cups of coffee it might be a good way to even drum up new sales for them fancy cappuccino rigs and beans the smell alone almost convinced me to buy a bag.

I haven't shopped here in person before, but their online order and curbside pickup is superb! Its very nice to see this option available at a specialty store. My order was ready within minutes and I was able to purchase my favorite brand of syrups for almost half the price that they are on Amazon! I'm very thankful I saved money and didn't have to buy online or visit a bunch of different stores to find the flavours I needed.

Brought in my machine for warranty work and received it back in worse condition than I brought it in. The machine is less than a week old and upon returning home I noticed my machine was repacked in the box with the portafilter sitting on top of my machine scraping metal on metal. So now not only is my machine still not fixed, but the metal water filter cover is now scratched up on top of it all.

UPDATE:

Peter was gracious enough to call me to "reach out" about this review only to argue and be overly aggressive in the call immediately.

He apparently felt I was "picking on them" because in his words I was "Taking a chance at buying something online and it got damaged which isn't our fault" and "you have a beef with the manufacturer and are taking it out on us"

Let me be clear, since my my original review apparently wasn't: I did not purchase my machine here, nor would I purchase anything here now due to the response of Peter's rudeness.

In fact him saying he wished I called first would have probably resulted in this same rude interaction. (I notice other bad reviews indicating similar rude interactions from the owner (s) and that should have been a red flag.)

My bad review was not in response to the repairs unable to being performed as unfortunately the frame was damaged in transit and this is out of anyone's control, but instead my bad review is due to my machine coming back scratched up and in worse condition than when I brought it in due to how my machine was re-packaged and provided.

When asked "where should have I put the portafilter" by Peter I simply responded "on the provided Styrofoam next to the machine, the same as I provided it" to which I was met with more verbal rudeness and sarcasm.

I purchased this machine from Montreal, and was told to bring my machine into this store by the manufacturer Morala and I can assure you I won't do it again and I'll be telling the manufacturer not to recommend them to any customers as well.

I doubt the owners are worried however, since Peter stated so eloquently that "he's been around for 50 years", so "he'll survive" - so he's obviously not worried about losing customers who don't appreciate their $3000 investment being given back in worse condition.

Do not bring in your machine here, there are probably better options in the city where they'll admit to their mistakes and offer a resolution rather than altercation.

This is an outstanding supplier of coffee equipment and coffee.
The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful.
We have been buying our home and office equipment, coffee and supplies here for over a decade.
Always friendly, never in a rush (unless you need something quickly!)
I can highly recommend Peter and Kellie's fantastic business for all of your coffee needs.
And they will ship coffee to you if live out of town.

I just discovered this shop today. The amazingly friendly couple who run this business welcomed me when I came in to pick up my online order. This shop has an excellent selection of coffee machines, coffees, teas and syrups. Their online order system worked seamlessly. I would have given this business 10 stars if I could have.

Been going there since 1996 and finally thought I should give my 2 cents worth. This is a first rate friendly knowledgeable business run by second generation Peter Izzo and his wife Kelly. I bought my Elektra from Vince in 1996 and am still using it today. When I do something silly like run it dry and burn out the element, I take it in and get prompt expertise reliable reasonably priced repairs.

I also love the whole bean coffee from Cappuccino King.

Went in to check it out and the lady that greeted me was very rude. Looked at me as if I didn’t belong in their shop and then just went to the back.

Best coffee - best service. Today, I wasn't paying attention to time and showed up late. Peter unlocked the door, let me in and got me caffeinated. If you're not buying espresso beans here - you're doing it wrong.

I've been a customer since 1994. Espresso machines are just that, machines. They will wear out and break over time. Had our last one for over 10 years and it had a couple of repairs. Just purchased my 4th from Peter. The first 2 are still used in the family, and the last one just plain wore out.

Peter and staff f have always been friendly and helpful, and the service is great!

We have 3 Espresso machines, 2 from Cappucino King and 1 from another store. Over the years we have had all 3 machines into be repaired and spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars doing so, at Cappucino King. We recently had a very negative experience of which they charged us $75.00 deposit, took our machine for upwards of 2 months, and did not ever call us to pick up. We now live out of Calgary so this process is very inconvenient but they know our machines, so we went there. They gave our machine back, with parts missing, partly dissembled and no diagnosis. They did not offer to refund any of our deposit. After we got the machine home and realized the gasket was missing, we sent a very nice email explaining such. Almost one week later we got an email back saying it was not their problem and they would not take ownership of their mistakes. We gave them the opportunity to, at the very least send us a new gasket, since they lost the one that was in. No such luck. THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND CUSTOMER SERVICE AND IT IS ALL ABOUT $$$. We will never be back and will caution anyone considering taking a machine there.

I've had Hardy work on my machine multiple times and there's a reason I return to Cappuccino King. His quality of work is amazing and he's so super to deal with. Peter, never let that man retire as he's the best repair man in town!

Loved the reviews but honestly surprised with the abbrassiveness of the lady at the front. I was passing by the store a couple of days ago and decided to enter because I had planned on getting a high end espresso machine and coffee for my father's Christmas/Birthday present, and when I entered there was no one around so I called out "I'm looking for the Cappuccino King! " and when she came she just gave me a flat angry look. I was trying to lighten the mood by asking if she was the Cappuccino King and she flatly responded with her name (Kelly?) and coldly made sure I didn't refer to her as the Cappuccino King. When I asked if they sold cappuccinos she was dismissive and not very nice to me.

She might've been having a bad day so I'm still gonna give 3 stars because everything looked and smelled great in there, plus the selection was impressive, so I want to give credit where it's due, but I just didn't end up shopping there because of how I was treated; kind of a shame. I even wished her a merry Christmas as I left and she just seemed angry at me.

I'm sharing this experience so that hopefully they read this and so that it doesn't happen to others in the future, because it doesn't feel nice to be scolded as a customer, and no matter what kind of day you're having you should be nice! Lol like I said though everything inside seemed great so I'll give it 3 stars.

Can't say enough about my experience here! Peter, the owner, took the time to explain the intricacies of my machine (respecting just how new to this I am). He looked at my Rancilio and gave me some of his professional tips on how to make espresso and what to look out for. His customer service in that short time has made me a life long customer.

These guys are great, immediately diagnosed the problem with my machine produced the part which was the fix. The cost of the part was $3.00 and the machine works perfectly again. Service was super friendly, when I am looking for my next machine this is the place I will go.
