Dr. Z is amazing shes so compassionate and goes deep into the core of the problem n helps you recover from it. The entire team at clinic is awesome aswell. What i love the most was there was no rushed treatment doc Z and her team listens to you patiently n then curates treatment for you. She explains everything and answers all the questions in the best possible ways. I am glad i chose captivating as my go to place for all my concerns and issues.

I had a few very disappointing experience with this skin clinic. While Dr. Z was knowledgeable and friendly, the rest of the staff left a lot to be desired.

The front desk staff is incredibly disorganized. In just a few months, they changed their booking policy three times. The first time I booked, there was no booking fee holding and they said the appointment period is the standard 24 hours. The second time I booked, they asked for a $75 booking fee which would be credited to the treatment payment, and the $75 would not be returned if you canceled within 72 hours. The third time I booked, they asked me to pay the full treatment fee as the booking fee to secure a spot. This inconsistency is frustrating and shows a lack of organization.

Furthermore, their Botox follow-up policy is not up to standard. I have done Botox at other skin clinics before and it is standard to fix it for free if there is still movement after two weeks. However, at this clinic, I was asked to pay for another 10 units of Botox two weeks after my treatment to smooth out wrinkles.

Lastly, the staff is also disorganized when it comes to gift cards. I bought some gift cards mainly for Botox treatment, but when I started to use them, they told me that the nurses who did the Botox treatments were no longer working there. As a result, they were charging $11 per unit of Botox instead of the $9 per unit that I had purchased the gift card for. This meant that my gift card had instantly depreciated by 20%, which is very disappointing.

Overall, I would not recommend this clinic. While Dr. Z is great, the disorganization of the rest of the staff made my experiences with them frustrating and disappointing. I would give this clinic one star, but I am leaving two stars due to Dr. Z's expertise.

My skin has never looked better. I love ZO products. The absolute best service, every time.

Very thankful to find Dr. Z and Stefan at Captivating and team on my health and wellness journey. I traveled from Vancouver to meet with the team and I was blown away as they actually takes the time to get to know YOU with in depth consultation (you cant get that in today's medical system). I have struggled acne since I was a teenager (now 27). I tried many different products, including those recommended and sold by skin health clinics, with no luck. Sometimes the products I’d be recommended to use would make things even worse. A friend recommended Captivating and even though I was skeptical I thought to give it a chance. I went in to meet with Cass and told her I was skeptical based on all my experiences. I let her know I was not willing to fully delve into a bunch of products and costs until I saw even minimal skin improvement using a few products. Cass spoke to me about my skin, acne, concerns, etc.and set me up with a cleanser, exfoliating polish, and some toner pads (ZO). Over the last 6 months, with only a few of the ZO products, I have noticed my skin and acne has completely cleared. I went in for a follow up appointment after 6 months and saw the initial photos taken of my skin and it is a world of a difference. I have now added to my skin care routine given I trust the product and advice given by Cass and the Captivating team. Finally feeling confident about a skin care product and clinic!

I have been seeing Stefan for BHRT, and I just can’t express how amazing it feels knowing there is someone who is passionate about hormone therapy and wants to help me feel and be the best version of me. There is not enough time in the day, or available characters, to write a review that fully captures all that is Captivating Aesthetics but I’ll try.
I used to travel to Edmonton for services, prior to CA’s existence because I was advised by many that there was nowhere else worth investing in here in GP. I later decided to attend a different practice here in GP and had reasonable experiences, for the most part, but nothing like CA. There were some things that didn’t go as I felt they should have, some extremely negative things that came back to me after I referred others, and I just ended up feeling that it was time for me to try someone new.
I went to CA (even though I was a complete skeptic about paying for a consult) and was completely blown away. The time spent in that first consult, the amount of detail covered, the personal assessment of what would be best for ME and MY needs, not just generic offerings, etc. I easily could have exceeded the 1 hr.consult, and I think we did go over, now that I think of it. Since then, I have gone to Dr. Z for a wide variety of treatments. What started as skin care to address my melasma, has evolved to my being the happiest I’ve ever been with how I look and feel, aging gracefully and with the support of the CA team. There has NEVER been a single experience where I have left feeling even the slightest bit unhappy. From Botox to filler to lasers and peels, and many things between, they have informed me of all relevant risks and possible outcomes (which is a HUGE deal to me because everywhere else seems to make it out to be a very casual thing to have such “simple” things done that actually carry an extreme amount of potential complications). Dr. Z is committed to constantly evolving her training and techniques, pursuing professional development with the top experts in each field, and she never settles for her current experience being good enough. This level of evolution and commitment is extremely important to me, as I believe the seriousness of such aesthetic procedures are dramatically downplayed in society and especially when dealing with the face, anything less than the best is just not worth the risk. In all the times I have attended CA, I have never felt like I was “sold” anything. I have asked for perspective and opinion and been steered away from things I don’t need as often as I have been offered various ways to address things that I wanted in a way that worked for my needs, both physical and financial. After every experience, the follow-up and aftercare have been top notch. If ever I’m concerned (I’m an extreme over-thinker), there is someone to answer my questions, or Dr. Z will get back to me herself to ensure my peace of mind.

Every experience at CA is like a trip to the spa… only with real, tangible outcomes!

If you’re on the fence, I can’t recommend highly enough and if you’re just looking for where best to invest, this is it!

My wife got me going there for my skincare after she started seeing amazing results with her skin.
I had struggled with my hormones for a long time and when Stefan joined CA I started seeing him for BHRT. Not only did he fix my hormones and get me feeling my best again, he also fixed my fertility.
I had also experienced really bad sweating, the treatment for this has completely changed my quality of life.

I’ve been going to Dr. Z for treatment for rosacea, and it’s working! The skincare products they offer are amazing. They actually work. Dr. Z is incredibly professional, extremely knowledgeable, and a kind, good person. She explains what you need to know very well. The treatment rooms are clean and organized. They offer many different treatments, whether your concerned about rosacea, acne, aging and more. I’ve had Lumecca laser treatments, the derma infusion treatment and a peel and am extremely happy with the results so far. The staff are all friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend going to Captivating Aesthetics for all your skin care needs.

I had done some research on injectors in my area. I knew I was looking for a nurse or doctor who specialized in this field (Too many concerns going to a "beautician"). Dr. Z's education and credentials were easy for me to review on Captivating's website. I have been to other doctors for injections before and Dr. Z's level of detail, professionalism and results are top tier! Consultations are thorough and make you feel confident in your choice of clinic. Dr. Z contacted me the night of my procedure to see how I was feeling. She also does a follow up a few weeks after treatment. I am extremely happy with my results and the treatment received from the Captivating Team. I will continue to see Dr. Z for my cosmetic procedures.

I originally went to Captivating Esthetics for help with my hormonal imbalances. I found them so knowledgeable and they had to true desire to help. From there I have taken advantage of many of their services. Dr. Z was so understanding of my skin concerns being a fair skinned individual. She was quick to biopsy my skin irregularities and check for malignancies. I would recommend them to anyone.

Was overcharged when paying for a procedure. We found the overcharge while doing our books. I tried for well over a month through email and phone calls to get this looked after and was ignored. When DrZ finally called me, she herself told me it was my own fault for not knowing better. She has refused to give my money back. Has been very condesending to deal with. Told me she likes to nurture relationships however did not get back to me for over a month. That is not someone who wants to nurture anything. Have been talking with past clients and found out I am not the only one who has been treated this way.
Dr. Z also told me she has all the paper work to prove I am in the wrong. She has an estimate for a proceudeure we had discussed (for an estimate) and was never booked.
Other than Captivating Aesthetics, I have not know of a business in Grande Prairie that made a mistake of overcharging someone and not done the right thing. I question Dr Zwanepoel ethics.
EDIT to response: Feel free to explain how you handled this situation. Im sure the public is interested. How it took you over a month to finally respond. Reminder that I have all the emails I sent. Please explain how it was an estimate and that no procedure was ever booked.
Please expalin how one of the procedures I had done is $4200 cheaper at a clinic that is certified to practice the procedure.
People please do you homework on other locally owned clinics in the Grande Prairie area. Learn form my mistakes.

It was a very professional and warm environment
Dr. Z was very knowledgeable and efficient. As a first experience I think it was wonderful and I look forward to begining my treatment.

Everyone at Captivating is absolutely amazing, they are so friendly and the atmosphere is extremely welcoming. I was very nervous to go to my first appointment with Stefan but once we meet he put my mind at ease. He explained more things to me than any other doctor has and he truly takes all the time you need to answer any questions you may have. Highly recommend anyone to check them out as they offer so many services and truly care about each and everyone of their patients.

There are now words! The service is incredible, though I know I’m one of many, I feel as though Stefan took the time to get to know me and learn what my needs are. I always feel completely informed and the extensive knowledge Stefan has about the inner workings of the body and why you may be feeling a certain way are always explained in a way that you fully understand. One evening I had a question and directly texted Stefan, thinking he would get back to me in the next, but instead took the time to get back to my right away and spent time ensuring I was comfortable with the information. I am not local to GP, but that has made no difference in the quality of care I have received. The front end staff are always helpful as well, they call back right away and get you the best possible appointment for you, as well as ensure your requisitions and prescriptions are sent to the correct places as quickly as they can. I couldn’t be happier that I contacted Captivating Aestetics.

I booked for one procedure and was sent paperwork for a different procedure. I advised this was not the right procedure and they responded by AGAIN CONFIRMING THE WRONG PROCEDURE. I emailed back explaining I was losing confidence that I was booked for the right procedure. They then left me a voicemail demanding that I pay the entire balance upfront to secure my appointment. This wasn't mentioned when I booked my appointment so, um, no? I maybe could have understood a deposit (which is still a bit sketch if you ask me) but definitely not payment in full for a procedure I hadn't even had yet. I called them and advised I was cancelling my appointment because they were so difficult to deal with. I was told to call back if I had questions. What? My only question is how do you get ANY positive reviews when you appear incompetent. Padding your reviews? Just a guess.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS. Very unprofessional.

Dr Z and Dr Mackenzie are 2 of the most knowledgeable, kind people you will ever meet. I was made to feel at home and would highly recommend them for all of your skincare needs.

5 stars doesn't even really begin to describe my experience so far at Captivating Aesthetics. It may have only been my first time there, but I'm looking forward to going back and figuring out all this health stuff that used to seem so complicated and sometimes hopeless.
If you've been talking yourself out of it, I strongly encourage you to just get going asap. Even if you are someone like me who tends to feel uncomfortable because of your body, that's what Dr Z.and the rest of the team are there for - to not only take care of your outer appearance, but find out and treat whatever may be affecting it.

I visited Dr Z. I had a wonderful experience, the whole team was very friendly, and professional. I have been struggling with melasma for years. And after I moved to Canadá I had a hard time to find a place where how you feel matters more than how you look. The Dr took her time with me, was very interested in how I feel, was a wonderful listener and NEVER made me feel rushed as she explained everything from the beginning.
