Great for public skating with lots of rooms and washrooms plus a couple of food options inside of the building

Went to "the Bench" restaurant for a political event. Nice staff, but we didn't get to try their menu. Will likely drop in to eat sometime soon.

I visited here during the book fair and it was fun. The whole place was decked out in books; I've never seen anything like it.

The hours are not accommodating to folks who work mon-fri. I would love to be able to use the gym after 6pm on sundays but this is when they close.

One of my favourite laid out facilities. Lots of entrances and room for gaggles of people to get around. Love that it's connected to the Ymca and library as well.

Clean facility, lots of rinks with ample seating. More often than not the stands aren’t heated so that would be a negative for me. As it can get pretty cold after sitting there for a while!

Good ice, clean and large dressing rooms, cool rink rats. One of my favorite rinks in the city.

Spectator areas are too cold - need to start turning the warmers on for people if there is a small group there - people should not have to go ask or argue for the heaters to be turned on. Facilities are clean & very convenient to have booster juice there. Looks like a restaurant or pub area MAY be being built within the building overlooking the arenas - hoping this comes to pass soon as it would be really great for families to have a place to grab some rink food or a drink before the games.

Fantastic facility, and very diligent with verifying vaccine status prior to entry - proof of vaccination for Covid, and I. D.

Great arena, been going for years. Wish the heat was better in arenas, they always turn it on either as the game ends or right before game starts are turn it off during game.

Great facility for hockey. Spacious dressing room, easy access for players in/out, and to players benches.

Classes here are cheap but poor quality, instructors don’t teach much. Unfortunately their terrible refund policy makes it impossible to drop out once you realize how bad the class is. Better adult classes elsewhere, definitely not supporting this place again.

Great teachers, my daughter had only 3 classes and I already can see a huge difference in her skating.

Parking lot is tight, better now that they added some to the south end.
Arenas are great, and some of the only ones without side netting and good line of sight.
Good sound systems in arenas. Bring a L/R cable.
The downsides, cold AF. Generally they never turn on the heat. And not alot of food options in the building. If only they converted the physio place to a pub between 1 and 2 like flames community have.

Did my voting there. Wonderful experience. The lady was so nice. Great layout and easy access. Very bright and fun. Can't wait to go there again for some reason or other.

Nice affordable basketball court. My buddies and I rent this place a couple of hours a week. The staff are punctual in opening and closing the gym. Pretty good!

Great recreation center, watch lacrosse. In good area where there is restaurants and shopping. Swimming as well.

If you live in the SW of Calgary, this is where you kids will most likely play Hockey. They are right behind the Shawnessy YMCA and have a number of Hockey Rinks. They have a concession stand and of course an information center and washrooms all over the place. Each rink has lots of space for people to see the games and they are not uncomfortable, but they are not comfortable either if you will be there for a while.

This is a very central area that has a lot going on and to offer. There are several arena's to have kids play sports on and many meeting rooms to conduct training in. There is a concession, help desk and the arena is conveniently attached to the public library. The only down side when there is an event going on such as hockey parking will be frustrating! Overall a high quality facility for Southwest Calgary.

We went for an ice skate party - the ice was amazing, it's a very nice facility, my gripe was that unfortunately there is no rentals.

This is a great facility in the Shaughnessy shopping area if you haven't stopped by by all means do so there is the public library there is ice skating, even Sports Medicine.

Very nice facility. Four ice surfaces connected to the YMCA pool track and weight gym. Not sure if those are open to the public, may want check into that if you are heading there. Kept nice and clean.

Great arena. Staff are fantastic with kids hockey. Parking lot can get pretty crowded when it is busy, but that's the only bad thing I have to say.

It is a great place to watch your Grandson's hockey. McDonalds and Tim Horton's /Wendy's are right nearby as well. The parking lot was cleaned so easy to park.
