Service manager and techs seem to actually care anout their customers and their jobs, what and how they offer it. Very different experience then from Woody's rv north. Although all or any of the rv co's are expensive, hourly rates really to high. You do get a sense after dealing with Carefree that you acheive getting value for your money. Tough to acheive but well done. I'll be back if and when things are needed.

Probably can't judge on a Sunday but seemed quite uninterested once I said I was looking at parts and they didn't even have the parts department open. Found that out once I walked into the dark parts area.

A simple water heater replacement inquiry. The service fellow let us sit for a day. He didn’t called us back - over the entire day. I called at 5pm and was lucky the call didn’t just go to voice mail. Was told he hadn’t heard back from parts. All day, we waited. Frustrating (so replies the management) ? Yup, it was. More to the point, it was inconsiderate. All we needed was a simple call, at some point through the day - to let us know, so that we could plan our next step. You can do better.

We just purchased a motorhome from Carefree RV. It was a fantastic experience. Easy, and more than accommodating during every step. No pressure sales, staff was knowledgeable and helpful. The walk thru upon pick up was beyond informative and they left no questions unanswered. Thank you Jay in sales, and Jay in finance for making this a quick, and painless experience. We will definitely recommend this business to our friends and family, and would buy from them again.

Didn't get the RV we were looking for, but all of the staff was excellent to deal with. Will definitely go back if they end up getting what we are looking for in an RV.

I can’t say enough about the 5star service we received from Josh at Carefree Rv, he not only was patient with our very specific requests to find the perfect trailer but he was funny and relatable…enhancing our big purchase experience to a level that I would not hesitate to return for another purchase and recommend to all of our friends. We drove in from Fort Mac and visited at least 10rv dealers the day before and we honestly were about to give up, drive home and keep our current trailer. He listened and we purchased the perfect trailer. Jay the finance guy is also very pleasant and made the deal seamless and “carefree”. We HIGHLY recommend

Dealing with the sales department and the finance department at Carefree RV has been an enjoyable experience. As I was dealing with them from out of province, they were both very good at giving me the information that I needed and provided me with the unit that I was in search of, Thanks Norm and Jamaiz, I’ll be camping in my perfect trailer this year, thanks to you.

I bought a used horse trailer and brought it to Carefree RV for a safety inspection. They were able to book it in for bearings, tires and breaks. It took less time than I expected even with having to order in the tires. Matthew was very helpful through the whole process and took extra time to help set up my hitch and explain the surge break system. Trailer feels so much better now. A big thank you to the techs who worked on the trailer, I feel confident it’s safe to haul my horses in now.

Later on after bringing my trailer I purchased home.and after being guaranteed it was not an issue for my pick up to haul. I'm informed that it's to heavy for the springs in my pick up.now I have an additional cost of $1500.00 to upgrade and replace them along with putting in bump stops so it doesn't bottom out.thx for not being honest about it.was not looking forward to this additional cost

Graham did an excellent job getting us a great deal on a used RV unit. No fussing about we let him know what we were looking for and what our budget was and he didn’t try to over sell us made sure that we had exactly what we needed and stayed within budget.

Do not expect any service after they take your money. They are exactly the reason why people hates RV dealers!

I purchased a new Minnie Winnie from the Leduc outlet in 2021 - the service was fantastic and I was really satisfied.
My happiness faded when somehow a spider crack occurred on the front of my trailer in the first summer we camped and I took it in to have repairs done in the fall of 2021. Somehow the service department dropped the ball on getting it either repaired or the skin replaced as they promised. I was told numerous times when I called and even went in to inquire in person last winter “we’re waiting on parts” or “everything is set up to go”. When it came time to camp this past summer I was told it was not fixed but it wouldn’t prevent me from using my RV.
When we came to pick up the trailer we were told the repairs were not on file!? ! The service centre staff was a little accommodating and asked that I re-send the claim details that were previously sent. I did so and we camped in the summer of 2022. We brought the trailer back as instructed for a new appraisal and repair in Sept 2022.
Today is November 24 and again I have emailed a number of times to attain updates on the repairs that were supposed to take 2-3 weeks to complete… I have been met with silence.

Lip Service is all you get and its not even free. Purchased a new trailer last year. Booked a site July 01 was told trailer would be ready. When i called it wasn't even moved from Leduc yet - July 07 was the new date unfortunately paid for it then but air conditioner didn't work. Picked up near the end of the month and went camping long weekend Aug. 01. Noticed a leak - pump kept surging informed Carefree. Was on some imaginary list they were going to call me for spring warranty work - I called them in May and was told they were booked till July 01. Finally got in for several issues along with the leak being fixed and supposedly repaired - used trailer for 2 days and discovered it still leaked. Informed Carefree took unit back in for warranty and was told it had expired. I had to pay $ to get my trailer back. It was my fault i never checked to make sure it was fixed? They have a story for everything. Worst purchase, service and story telling i have ever encountered. Save yourself and your family a big headache and shop elsewhere - there must still be some honor out there somewhere. NEW - Finally repaired properly 3rd time. Repair people put drawer on sofa and left grease stains and cushion cant be turned over, permanently damaged. Unbelievable but someone urinated in the toliet and never flushed, I cannot describe the regret i have for ever trusting them to correct a wrong. This is not a business to even consider looking at. Forever Not Going Here

I have been using RVs for 46 years now. Owned two slide in truck campers, Three 5th wheels, a travel trailer and now just purchased our third Motorhome. Our experience at Carefree I must say was relatively stress free, no pushy sales personnel or managers. We enjoyed all the staff we met and a big bravo to our sales rep Mich Kennedy.

Bought my first trailer from Carefree RV and had such a great experience! Graham was awesome to work with and answered every question we had. He was very prompt with replying and getting things set up. Jamaiz helped us out and made sure we were well aware of all the financial details. I was in a rush to buy the trailer as I wanted to take it on a vacation I had planned for the long weekend, and these guys went out of their way to squeeze me in to ensure I took the trailer home with ample time to prepare it for my trip! Highly recommend!

We had problems with our slide while camping 2 hours away from the city on Mother's day. The service manager took our call from home, went over and above working from home to see what they could do for us. We were able to drop it for assessment the next morning and they managed during a very busy time to have it looked at. Her reassurance that she could help us as best as they could made an awful experience much better. She really cares about her clients and we will be forever grateful and recommend.

Have a good friend buy a trailer here.
Be sure to look over the trailer thoroughly for defects before you leave with it.
Make sure they do what they agree to before you take the trailer. Because once you sign them papers.
Maybe find a nicer place to buy your next holiday trailer.

Hit and miss. Some decent salespeople. Friendly receptionist and the walk-through guy was good. Finance guy was great. Service was abysmal. Not interested in the least in helping with the handover after the sale. Condescending and snarky. Said they were "too busy" to help us get the hitch set up after sales guy promised us that. Told us that "sales will say anything" and they "didn't get paid enough" to do trailer set-ups. One guy disappeared into the shop never to be seen again, and we watched the other one washing his personal car in another shop while we set everything up ourselves, including gas leak checks, etc. Owner drove around on a golf cart and didn't offer to find help. I waited until warranty period was up to post the review in case of reprisals. Would never take the trailer back to them, and certainly wouldn't buy from them again.

We messaged Carefree in June to look at a light weight trailer. James Pruden quickly got back to us and we booked an appointment with him for the next day. When we arrived James had the trailers that we had asked to see ready to look at. He was very knowledgeable of the features of the trailers and was able to ask all of the questions that we had. He also showed us some similar trailers that he thought we would like. Once we decided on a trailer, James made sure to check in with us both when we came to sign the paperwork and when we came to pick up the trailer. He wanted to make certain that we had everything that we need and that he will be available if we have any questions about the trailer.

I have been working with James at Carefree RV to find the perfect small trailer for me and my partner, since the first day I contacted him the process has been amazing. He provided us with all the information we needed and any he didn't know he made sure to find out, we asked a lot of questions and he was very patient with us and explained everything in a kind way. Never at any point did we feel pressured like most salesman but also felt supported during the process! Highly recommend using him to help you find your perfect trailer!

Mitchell has been great, even at this difficult times of COVID-19. We had issues getting shipment from US but Mitchell has been on top of that and ensured we got our unit before the summer starts.

From the very beginning I had great service from all the team at Carefree RV. Our salesman Steve was very nice to work with and knowledgeable about both RV’s we were considering. Even though we had a lot of questions we never felt like we were being rushed or pressured into making the right decision for our needs. I would absolutely recommend Carefree to any of my friends and family looking for their next RV.

Carefree RV was great to deal with on all levels. We bought our forever fifthwheel there. We had a couple issues with our trade, they took the time to go over them and make us very happy with a tough situation.
If you shop here you need to talk to Perry, this salesmen had the greatest approach, look at this one he stated the wife said well I'm not sure, Perry pipes up well let's look at another, if you already questioning it it's not right for you.

I still like dealing with Perry, however our brand new unit is plaqued with issues, choose wisely negative ten rating on Winnebago

Both sales reps were great and I have no complaints. The only issue is with the service department and the condition of the trailer at time of delivery. Trailer was dirty and still had deficiencies.

I must say so far so good for service. James has been a huge help with our needs for an RV and seems to be quite honest, met up with us last minute with no notice to look at the trailer, answered all the questions he could or looked for answers and got back to us, even responded to his emails on his day. Thank you for everything.

We went to the Carefree RV on Sunday. We met the saleman, James Purden. This is our first time purchasing and we were pretty green. He showed us multiple travel trailers that we might like. He was patient and didn't talk much, just listening and accommodating to what we need and what we are looking for. He gave us all the facts and educated us on what to look out for with travel trailers. My family enjoyed our experienced going there the atmosphere is very welcoming. I really had no issue with salesman James Purden very patient and very helpful to what you need. Not only that he cares about all the safety for your family. Now with all the good experienced with carefree rv, we now own our first travel trailer:)

It all started on a Friday night when I started chatting with Mitch from Carefree RV. I asked him a bunch of questions he answered every one, I told him “it’s Friday night for you too, we can talk about this tomorrow” never did he make me feel like it was necessary.totally up to me.

Great quality service is extremely rare nowadays, but Mitch’s service every step of the way was truly Exceptional.

My wife & I were interested in trading our older Motorhome & had been info seeking online for a newer unit. Carefree caught our eye &, when we visited there, Joey took our interests to heart & advised us of the trade-in possibilities. Over a period of 2-3 weeks, he kept us posted &, when a unit of interest arrived, our deal was finalized. Joey was great in every way & made it all happen, even on his days off he was in touch with us. A great guy-he is a great listener, answering all of our questions - if he didn't have immediate answers, he found them & got back to us without delay. If you're looking for a salesman who is experienced, prompt & very helpful, Joey's the guy!

Once done with Finance, don't expect to be contacted when you have questions.

Was told at service 2 weeks ago that the little issues I have could be done in a few hours. Took it in today for its appointment and was told it could be there for up to 1.5 weeks. Not pleased. They said it should be done today then, so we shall see.

Sadly, this is pretty much the same service as when I got my 1st trailer 10 years ago from them. I only went with them as they had my "perfect" layout trailer to downsize to.

Kevin in the shop went the extra mile today installing the hitch today on my new trailer. The walk around guy (forgot his name sorry) was sooooo helpful! Answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable! Bottom line. If you are in the market for a Holiday trailer or Motorhome, THESE ARE THE PEOPLE TO SEE! Fabulous service! We had a furnace problem that wouldn’t stay on, called up Carefree RV on a Saturday afternoon and James, from service, was able to lead us through troubleshooting and took the time to talk us through the repair. He saved us from hauling it back to the dealership or other expensive service calls. Thank you … thank you … thank you!

Recently, we were interested a used Class A motor home and worked with Perry Kahler. Perry kept looking for us, highlighted a few potential coaches for our consideration, provided frequent updates and in general, was a pleasure to work with. Perry was communicative, very knowledgeable and provided good follow through on his commitments. Although, we found a coach through another dealer, I wouldn’t hesitate to call Perry again.

After browsing at several RV dealerships, it was refreshing to meet James at Carefree. He was friendly and professional, and spent a lot of time helping me weigh the pros and cons of several different models. It didn't seem to matter to him that I was looking at the smallest and cheapest units on the lot. He was attentive and helpful without being pushy. If he didn't have an answer for me, he immediately went to find one. (Same with the manager and the finance person. Everyone was great.) I'm very happy about the tiny trailer that I purchased, and I would definitely go back to Carefree in the future if I'm in the market for something bigger.

Recently purchased a travel trailer with Joey Carlson at Carefree RV and he was amazing to work with. Very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend to all my friends to go and have a chat with him as well as everyone else who assisted me was a pleasure to work with as well.

After being shunned by many salesmen who refused to give us the time of day because we aren’t buying “today”, we came to Carefree RV and met Darryl. Darryl greeted us warmly and asked some assessment questions to help narrow down the types of units we are interested in. He then showed us everything within the budget we specified and the parameters we discussed. He was patient and answered our MANY questions. Unlike the other places we stopped, we never got the feeling that we were wasting his time or that he had better things to be doing.

Bought our first RV from them last summer and really pleased with the sales and service. Now, less than one year later, can’t get a response from the service department at all by phone or email regarding our in warranty repairs. We did get a response from two different customer managers who said they would pass us on to service. Over a month now and still no call or email from service. Reading a lot of the other reviews I see it’s a systemic issue with them once they have your money they no longer really care about after sales service.
If you can get a good price from them and you don’t need any kind of a relationship after go ahead and buy from Carefree otherwise steer clear.
