Been returning since 1968. That being said there has been alot of changes over the years. Water is usual in great shape for any activities you want

Absolutely beautiful park. We stayed for two nights over the Labour Day long weekend and had a wonderful time!

The Pros:
- most sites are large enough for two vehicles and two 6 person tents;
- many sites are beautiful and private;
- very clean, including the sites themselves, the trails, outhouses, flush toilets, and showers;
- lots of beautiful walking/hiking trails that are kid friendly;
- the lake is clean, large, and beautiful;
- the seawall is unique and offers a great fishing experience;
- great little convenience store with some camping essentials;
- multiple boar launches;
- 15 minute drive to/from Whitecourt;
- 5 minutes from crown land.

The Meh:
- firewood is $10/bundle. We went through 3 bundles per night;
- some sites were very public and had little privacy;
- some sites had a lot of water in the low areas (after a rain) ;
- the playgrounds are a bit small and there were no swings;
- very small beach so not much space for the kiddos to run around

None of the "meh" points were deal breakers for us, and didn't feel like inconveniences. Just some general observations (hence they aren't cons).

We would 10/10 go there again!

Very nice clean park! Huge. I almost got lost.dog friendly.friendly staff.lady who checked us in, sold us wood.worked in store. Wonderful person.

Lake was not too busy, everyone was civil.

Would definitely go back.

Camped here during our annual family get together. Sites were decent sized and well treed [offering reasonable privacy]. We had power included [nice], and a short walk to the drinking water tap/outhouse. There was a store [selling firewood, ice, etc. ], boat launch, small playground, and showers [no charge] located at the nearby lake. An added feature is a boardwalk which is used by many people for fishing. If you encounter poor weather, Whitecourt is just a short drive away.

Trails are beautiful and views are amazing. Some stalls are a bit small but overall are pretty spacious. Showers and washrooms are a bit disgusting but for a outhouse that is kinda reasonable. Hot water also was drop and go and varied throughout the days. But other then that my family and I had an amazing time and will definetly be coming again.

Always our go to lake. Very well maintained. Enough trails to go around. Has a small store and free showers.

Great old growth campground. There is plenty of privacy yet a very open layout. Like to stroll all the paths and the lake views. The shower is meh, but it's free, so whatever. Staff are very helpful.

I used to live in Whitecourt, which is 15 minutes away from the lake. Almost every day, I drove to the lake after work for fishing and boating. It is a fun place plus camping grounds right next to the lake. But there's a speed limit of 12 klick in the water. If someone likes jetski, then this place is definitely a no go

Best treed-in camping experience near Edmonton. I'm from British Columbia originally and moved to Edmonton 5 years ago. This place was hands down the best camping option near Edmonton. It reminded me of camping in the Thompson Okanagan and Whistler. Fantastic experience, the trails are beautiful, nature is gorgeous, not too many bugs, all around excellent location with a little store open late on site, showers, running toilets and fresh water, firewood on site.

My site was water facing and even had a little trail that went straight to the waterfront trail. Absolutely worth every penny.

Carson-Pegasus Provincial Park is an amazing park and its camp ground was awesome!
Great for trout fishing.
Sandy beach for swimming, The beach has all of the amenities available to campers with a boat launch and boardwalk for shore casting.

Also there is a pattle board and kayak rental!

Amazing!

Great fishing either from a boat or the sea wall. Campsites are nice and the trails are great. The view from the end of the peninsula is spectacular. This is not a lake for power sports but fishing, paddle boarding, canoing, kayak and just relaxing it is. The showers are hit and miss, but nice to have

The best place to camp! Wishing the Government didn't cut so much funding but we la la la love Carson Pegasus!

Massive place but every stall is situated with privacy in mind. One of our favorite campgrounds in the area.

We love carson for the fishing from shore with the kids and playtime at the beach in the evening. The beach is small but the kids love the ducks that come up to you on the beach and the ospreys and pelicans you often get to watch overhead. The hiking trails are beautiful too.

The bathrooms/ showers were not working. The bathrooms down by the playground the doors dont lock and weren't very clean.

I visited the lake a couple of days ago, and had a really good experience in the shop with a worker named Jorie. They were very helpful and showed me where the Smores were. A big slay.

Great sites, stocked lake for fishing. Showers were unavailable due to a water leak and no potable water-boil water advisory. Friendly staff. Will definitely come back!

A beautiful place to go kayaking or paddling and fishing. Has a clean and quite camping spots. Most of the washrooms are available (compost type) and they do have a shower, amphitheatre and kids playground. I saw that they also have new rental place for paddle boards and kayak.

I visited the park for the first time this winter. I had a physical therapist who had recommended the area multiple times so I decided it was time to check it out.
Of course, in the winter most facilities are closed but I had seen lots of ice fishers and a few people winter camping.
They keep a few roads plowed so you could get in the main area with ease. It's a nice area. We found a place to use for day use so we could sit in nature. There were a few different types of birds we saw and a few squirrels running around and we found the place to be quiet.
My one complaint is the mens outhouse near the playground was in serious disrepair. The "toilets" were barely attached to the floor and didn't seal properly.
