CARSTAR Olds

In October 2020 thieves drilled a hole in my fuel tank and stole gas.prior to this my Truck was in perfect working order. I made a claim via Intact Insurance and eventually 4-5 weeks later it was collected by Carstar, When i last saw the Truck it had a box of gloves and a large bottle of sanitizer in the console this was not there when i collected it! When i collected the truck in early December from starting it at the shop the truck was running really bad, the engine light was on and there was zero gas in it and i mean vapours! Carstar didn't even do the work! They contracted it out to Fountain tire who replaced the tank The vehicle was filthy inside and out but they billed $50 to intact for valeting. They actually didn't run the system through with gas so it ran really bad, we had it out to Cam Clark Ford who diagnosed $15k of cylinder damage! Carstar tried to charge me for this diagnosis! L let it run for a few hours with gas and the engine smoothed out and the engine light cleared. Then on December 20th i got a 'check fuel fill inlet' warning. Now Carstar want me to pay for another diagnostic so they can determine if it is shoddy work on their contractors behalf! Even though the work is supposedly covered under warranty. Moral of the story here Carstar Olds are exactly the type of shop you were warned to avoid they do shoddy work refuse to stand by their work and sucjk as much out of your insurance company! They are not listed with the BBB and for what its worth this is the first and only claim on my insurance in 11 years and Intact have been very bad.

UPDATE;
In March 2021 I went back to Intact as the truck was still running poorly and they authorized another diagnostic at Olds Ford, It turned out Carstar's sub contractor Fountain Tire had installed an old fuel tank from a wrecked F150 found at a pick and pull, I have never made a claim and have paid thousands for insurance and this is what i got! It gets worse the reason it was running so poorly and Carstar tried to claim the truck ran that bad when they got it was because their sub contractor did not install the Evap lines. Like at all! So the fuel system was running terrible as it could not calculate the ratios. Carstar did not check the work but blamed me! Be warry this outfit is terrible.

I contacted Carstar and worked with John on a little mishap which resulted in a small door dent. John was very accommodating in getting my vehicle in on a very short schedule and repaired in a day and a half. The results were amazing and service second to none. I highly recommended dealing with John and Carstar in Olds! Thanks again John!

Excellent experience from start to finish. The girls in the front were knowledgeable, courteous and extremely pleasant to deal with. Great job on body damage of my SUV and they returned it much cleaner than I took it there. I couldn’t be more pleased. I would totally recommend them.

Very poor customer service; called couple of times to follow up on my schedule the lady at the reception said she will call or e-mail me but didn’t get any. Worse was when i waited for a month to be scheduled then being told to wait another month. I would not recommend

If you want to be lied to and hear constant trash talk about other companies, this is the place for you! I have never received such unprofessional service! I received exemplary service from the companies that the receptionist was slamming and exceptionally poor service from Carstar Olds.
A booking for 6 weeks turned into over 4 months before the repair was done.
Will never return and strongly warn others against booking here.

Very professional, friendly, helpful, did an excellent job fixing my car and color matching the repairs. Kept me in the loop every few days to let me know how it was coming along, set me up with a rental car to pick up when I dropped off my car. Will be recommending to others for sure.

These guys were great. They had my truck ready two days before it was due. The front desk reception Natasha was super friendly and sweet, definitely an asset to the company. The only minor complaint I have is that she kept referring to me as Debbie, my name is actually Deborah. I really HATE the name Debbie and bit my tongue a few times. Hahah! I'd happily use these guys again and 100% recommend them to anybody! Thanks CARSTAR for getting me back on the road so quickly:)

The customer service was seriously amazing! They were so understanding and accommodating with our schedule, as my wife was due to have a baby during the service. We were well informed continuously. The work done was excellent, they did the work for as cheap as possible without sacrificing excellence, even though it was an insurance claim. Thank you team!

The staff are super friendly and do great work. My car has come back looking better than new. I would strongly recommend them.

Great experience! Took a bit of time to get in but well worth the wait. Very friendly, I appreciated the daily updates on my repairs and they went above and beyond repairing some small damage from an unrelated incident with no extra charge!

The staff were amazing to deal with, very friendly and accommodating. Natasha kept us updated on the repairs being done and Crystal was very compassionate and understanding. The car was repaired much sooner than what we had expected. Highly recommend them!

Carstar was professional and quick in their repairs. They finished the work a week early! They kept us updated and never minded when we called with questions. They had our vehicle for a month after my husband’s collision. The panels were not properly clipped in and eventually came apart. We lost the use of our horn and a few interior lights. We were extremely disappointed in the service we received at this location.

I had a problem with a car I recently bought used so I called Carstar Olds to see if they could give me a quote to repair it. I explained what my problem was with my convertible top and they said they could do it and that I had to make an appointment which I did. I don't live in Olds, so I had to make a special trip to Olds. When I got there, the girl at the front counter was very rude and made me wait until she could come look at the car. When she did, she said they couldn't do it so I wasted my time. I asked if she could at least give me a quote. She said she could and I gave her all the information and a copy of the parts required from the dealer. She said they were very busy and it would take a couple days. She never sent me the quote. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone.

Friendly folks who know their business. Experienced techs are capable of making any damage disappear. Highly recommend.

Doesn't care about customer service at all. Go elsewhere, don't waste your time waiting forever for a call back. All you're going to get is ridiculous excuses and a terrible attitude. Maybe the people in the shop are better, but they need to replace the reception for someone who is genuinely friendly and keeps customers properly informed.

3 weeks to fix car which was fine. But another 3 weeks to get windshield fixed properly. Windshield had alot cold air coming through windshield. Was told windshield was 85% after brought back In second time. Told me and insurance was good to be picked up. Came down to calling intact and having them deal with shady work. Poor customer service will never go to carstar in olds again. Plus dont expect calls updates on vehicle.

Had to return car 3 times for them to get my car fixed properly. All we got back was a rude attitude
