Our poor chihuahua/terrier Thumper was writhing in pain and we could not figure out why. We found Castledowns Animal Hospital, called and got an appointment within an hour. We brought her in, Cheyanne at the front was so kind and helpful and got us into the room to weigh Thumper and she even got some treats! Dr. Rasmussen provided the answers and all of the information we required to treat our fur baby. Thumper has been happier and more relaxed since the visit. Thank you CastleDowns Animal Hospital!

The care team at Castledowns Animal Hospital is truly a special group. Dr Rasmussen was exceptional at providing treatment options in a caring and supportive way. Jowie, Ceiba, Jamie and Jenny were all amazing to support our family as we decided on the best options for our pet. Thank you all for your amazing support!

When I was a child my parents took our dog to this clinic. Now I have returned as an adult to bring my fur babies because the quality of service and also the cleanliness of this place is superb. We see Dr. Stickney for our cats and we love her! The staff at the front desk are sooo friendly and helpful too!

We have been bringing our dogs here for 10+ years. Thru highs and lows, thru oldies and newbies. We trust our vet clinic and the hardworking staff. 4 stars bc often hard to get into last minute (and i really dislike going elsewhere) and wish virtual appts could be had. Thanks team!

Best veterinary we have experienced. We switched here after not being happy at a previous clinic. The veterinarians are amazing, as well as the front desk ladies, the clinic is always clean and welcoming. Dr Rasmussen is so knowledgeable and kind, he always provides so much insight and information so that we fully understand what is going on with our dog when we bring him in! We appreciate the attention to detail, and the respect and kindness shown to all patients every time we are in! Highly recommend Castledowns animal hospital!

Been bringing my animals here for many many years (dogs & lizards). I love this hospital and my dogs do too! Of course they’re nervous to walk in to the vet office but once they see the reception ladies they’re calmer.
They are normally pretty anxious and shy but when Dr. Neville comes in their tails wag.

Also when phoning them, it is painless and everyone is always super helpful and friendly. If the receptionists don’t have the answers they will always go out of their way to find it for me. Appreciate everyone that works here.

We moved to Edmonton almost a year ago and started going to Castle down animal hospital after looking around for a good vet.

They have been very accommodating, are easy to get into, friendly even though we have big dogs and are very thorough.
We have been taking our dog to another vet for years actually multiple vet and had never had the eye issues taken care of properly that once we went to Castle down animal hospital our dog she is now healthy, happy and problem free.
It turns out if the problem wasn't taken care of and the time it was that our dog would have gone blind.
Castle down animal hospital saved our 5 year old German Shepherds sight.

My review is a bit outdated.just want to say, years later still the best veterinarians! I have two dogs, and two cats that are seen here, I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Best veterinarians I have ever met in my life along with their entire team of staff. Super friendly, and I trust all my family (pets) with all of them.

Love the staff and how well they take care of our animals. They are reasonably priced also.

This is a shout-out to Dr Rasmussen and his team. We are bearded dragon owners and weren’t happy with the first vet clinic we visited. After many phone calls, I learned that this vet works with exotics. Dr Rasmussen was very thorough in his questions and exam of our beardies. He has personally communicated test results to us. The front staff have always been pleasant and accommodating. Great experiences overall!
