Cat Cafe on Whyte

Great place to hang out with friends and pet cats! The only thing I would suggest would be for the barista's to mix the sugar more in the matcha drinks.

Lovely place, the kids had a great time.

Today they had 30 people (including small children that were harassing the cats) packed into the cat rooms, and just kept letting more people in. There was barely a spot to stand on. As long as people are paying, I suppose.

Did not appreciate my 7 year old and I literally being screamed at to close the door within 2 seconds of opening it, while trying to squeeze past two other customers who were standing right inside the door (making it awkward to open and close). While the second door to the cat room was clearly closed. Never been here before so maybe being screamed at is normal here. But I won’t be back to find out.

Cute kitties, good coffee, & free drinks with the (very reasonable) price of admission. Go here!

Love this Cafe so much. Always friendly staff and enjoy the cats as well. Food and drinks are tasty here and will come back again for sure.

Nous sommes passé pour voir ce cat café, nous avons été agréablement surpris de tous ces chats, ils sont extrêmement gentils, doux et mignon. Les boissons servies sont un peu trop sucré à mon goût. Les filles sont très gentilles et serviables. En revanche ce que j’apprécie moins, acheter des friandises et les donner aux chats. Le problème, les chats n’attendent que ça et cela gâche un peu le moment avec eux. Si vous n’en n’avez pas et que les autres gens leur en donnent, vous pouvez être sûr que vous ne verrez pas beaucoup les chats.

We paid something like $15 each (I can't remember the exact amount) for an hour of seeing the cats + unlimited drinks over that hour. We were offered some treats to give the cats as well.

I first got one of their featured fall drinks, which was an oat latte drink. It was delicious. After that I got an oat fog (London fog), which was also great. My partner got different drinks and he liked them as well. If you think about it, 2-3 drinks at any other cafe would be about the same. Plus we got to see cats for an hour. So it's really a great deal; I feel like you get your money's worth.

They have baked goods and snacks available for purchase as well. Bathroom on site, and a shelf for shoes. This is definitely a fun activity to bring someone to do, especially as a date—bring a marker, you'll see why.:)

You can tell they care about the cats because of the rules you have to follow while there. They have a lot of affectionate and adoptable cats and REALLY good drinks as well as a board game lounge.

I love this cafe and this was only my second time. Cried because I couldn't take home another kitty I love Cally and I hope she finds the best home, I wish it was mine. Will definitely visit again

Went with my friend to hang out and see the cats and honestly it was amazing! We hung out with cats, had unlimited drinks and got to play fun board games together.so cute and such a fun experience for $18/hour i would (and have) recommend it to everyone i know!

I realllllly love the idea of this place, finding homes for cats & getting to sit down and drink a coffee while playing with them.however, the drinks weren’t very good.it kinda smells bad in there.the rules are really strict (which i totally understand for the safety of the cats) but the cats were all sleeping or hiding in the staff room so we didn’t get to touch any.the music was just elevator type music so it was kinda uncomfortable sitting drinking a coffee that wasn’t super good and not being able to touch the cats for the price of 50$ for my sister & I & our kid brother

We had a somewhat decent experience! But about half way through we went out front to our vehicle to get one of my perscriptions and when my fiancé went back in the lady very rudely yelled over that we must pick between inside and outside! Then when we were leaving part of my group went outside and then when the door was pretty much closed I opened the other door and she yelled VERY LOUDLY and pretty aggressively that we need to watch the door. She did this to no one else! So needless to say I don’t think me or my family will be coming back and I will let others know as I have never been aggressively yelled at by someone like that in a business and I don’t think it is very professional. (I’ve been working in customer service for the last 6 years and I’ve never yelled at any paying customers)

Edit to review! There was lots of customers that were completely ignoring rules in the room and had kids who were not supervised to the point it seemed to make other guests uncomfortable as the kids were running around! Lots of customers seemed to not follow your “door rule “ but it seems as though we were the only ones targeted as when the 2 doors were both open for other people nothing was said to Them! Also we only went out once! Like I said the door was closed! My family has easily had 20 cats over the years!
I don’t call yelling/ when talking to customers puffing and being rude to customers a good business practice! Extremely disappointed! We aren’t dumb and we’re extremely embarrassed by the way we were treated!

What an amazing café! I adore their commitment to creating a cozy haven for rescued cats and aiding in their quest for permanent homes. Additionally, they have a selection of board games to enjoy while you're in the delightful company of the feline residents.

What an amazing place! All the drinks you can handle are included in the price, and the kitties are so cute. Come early because it gets busy on weekends and in the evening.

Loved the beverages, staff was friendly, and moreover, the fur-babies were wonderful! Will definitely be returning!

Amazing place! The inside is super cutely decorated with cat themes. The walls are filled with drawings made by guests and other adorable images. The prices and rules are reasonable, staff are friendly, they have games when the cats are sleeping, etc. I love how close it is to the University of Alberta as it’s such a therapeutic experience. I also love that the cats have a room to go when they feel over stimulated and they’re all rescues/fosters. I already got 4 of my friends to go there in the first week of us moving to university. Definitely going again.

Cute place, nice to spend an hour in and destress. The cats are always playful or sleeping but cute. Good place to go if you're thinking about adopting

Website says an adult supervisor is required for every two children ages 7-12. We turned up with two kids aged 9 and one over 12 and were told we did not have enough adults to be customers. Staff insisted we leave until one of the younger kids cried, and then staff member also raised their voice and snapped at one of the kids not to interrupt them when they were speaking. All three kids are chill, own cats at home, and were absolutely gutted by the staff's grim seriousness towards them, like they were unwanted pests. A wasted trip.

Best place to go for cheap therapy.the unlimited drinks are amazing with many options:) the cats are adorable and the atmosphere is just perfect!
