CDI College - Edmonton North

I am currently working on my Cybersecurity degree. I am taking an online course. I am so grateful for the choice I made. First of all, the college is super invested in my success and it shows every step of the way. All the staff members are very professional, they know what they are doing and very helpful. The online resources are high quality and they actually try to implement gamification in some aspects. So learning is super digestible and actually fun while being structured, clear and focused on practical skills. But I would like to single out my instructor Saima Nawaz, who puts a lot of work and soul in her students. She is making the process super flexible and human. It's nice to have someone who is available and helpful even in the online education format.

I am student in CDI North Campus. Saima Nawaz is very skillful, helpful and help me always with patience and happy heart. Please consider this feed back on her file. Actually I am new in computer, even I do not t know what to do and how to use computer but she help me always every time even she is busy or during her break. If all staff as like her then CDI college will be a star in Alberta.

I have been taking classes at this college for just under a year- I am very pleased with how everything has gone.

My Professor is Nataliya K, and she and the college both have helped me achieve my goals in academics, career wise and also there are many resources to help manage and schedule time and stress.

By far, the worst school I have ever attended. If you want incompetent staff that don't know how to communicate with you and constantly provide you the wrong information, sign up.

If you want staff that are going to read you the family law act word for word without any further detailed explanation or outside experience, go here.

If you want to become a paralegal/legal assistant, I HIGHLY suggest you save your 20k instead of wasting it on this useless waste of a school and just apply for a job yourself, you're better off!

I did my education assistant program with them. Cleared all courses and the support was fine until I had trouble completing a training called smart board. The training is not offered anymore and the course directions are outdated. This is the last thing left to get my diploma. I have sent 6 emails and called 4 times for a resolution. I have sent emails with videos of following instructions as per the course providing evidence the training does not exist to coordinators and instructors. They have not provided a resolution or my diploma. It’s been over 2 months of this.

I had connected with Mike Mishlawi at the college almost 2 years ago. He went over the programs they carry in a lot of detail and I decided to apply for the Accounting and Payroll Administration. Despite the pandemic, I was able to get honors in all of my classes (above 90% for each course) and complete my schooling within the 11 months I was registered. I went to my practicum and ended up being hired there after my practicum completed. That was a year ago and I'm still with the firm and happy with the training I got from the staff. My only recommendation would be to add courses on the CaseWare program since that's one of the programs used at my firm.

I had such a worst experience with this college. I had waisted 18k here. In my 10 months course, more than 20 teachers left during the course. Didn’t organize our practicum and told that we have to drop the course because they can’t find the school for us. After paying 18k I have to find the school by myself to do my practicum.

Financial department is the worst. They promised that they will give scholarships after you graduate with honours. But after I graduate they just ignored and i am dealing with this since last 6 months. They told me to pay my CPR fees and will get refunded but nothing gets refunded.

If you ever call them, they never pick their phone calls neither replies to your email. When I finally got reply from them guess what they told. “The person who was dealing my case was moved “ but didn’t gave me the new administrator info.

They had such a bad communication system. Even during my course so many times there were miscommunication that students have to take off from their work and come for their online class but ofcourse teacher didn’t show up because she had different schedule than students.

I would highly recommend and request not to waist your money here.

It’s a big shame, disappointed with the quality of the staff and teachers. I am really regretting I advised my wife to start schooling at CDI. Lots of lies, staff were so nice when my wife applied and got admission, they told us about all the good things about studying at CDI and how developed they’re. However, it turned out just miserable lie, IT department wouldn’t answer phone calls or emails, Teachers don’t speak English (medical language teacher still speaks Russian in her lectures and very weird accent). They told us all the books materials will be free to be downloaded and printed it turned out none of the books are free to download or print and already paid $1400. My wife asked for a refund for those books because they are useless and She ended up buying actual books from indigo and amazon, the head of the lying department told us we can’t refund you because you already signed for that, but we signed to have the books online and we can save them. Now my wife ended up buying new books and materials for over $1500 and she is not even half way through the course.in the First Aid course didn’t even bother giving students a book to study for the exam instead gave them some handouts and exam was we far from the handouts. Whenever you phone the office staff the first thing you hear from the receptionist they are all in a meeting. They don’t have the balls to answer phone calls. They told us we will find you a job at the month of completion and last month when finally one of the staff answered the phone he said we don’t promise and never did.
Take an advice from me and don’t apply

I was looking to enhance my accounting and payroll skills and after connecting with the admissions coordinator Obyda he was able to answer my questions, help me find a course and I chose to enrol in CDI’s Accounting and Payroll Administration. The online campus made it easy to complete my assignments and join live sessions when required. The instructors were informative and helpful when I needed extra assistance. My experience was a positive one and now my oldest son has also enrolled in a course with CDI College. I highly recommend CDI College.

If you want an administrative mess, total lies about being accommodating, a messed up course plan, and assignments with errors that even frustrate instructors as well as no response to emails or requests for help, then this is the school for you!

They sure can contact you when they want money though

If I could go back in time I would never have registered here or took out the $20,000 loan for the classes, I would do it in a heartbeat. Now I'm going to be paying back these loans and I am pretty sure I'm going to fail due to their carelessness. Thanks CDI. You're the worst.

I was previously a student in for the RTA program, the college was very helpful in making me succeed in the program. The instructors are great, knowledgeable and hands on when teaching.

Taking Cyber Security Specialist course at CDI college a great deal. The instructors are engaging, lively, and energetic. They are out - standing and co - operative instructors, especially Idrees Afzal, he is full of resources and helpful. I'm so glad that I'm one of his students.

Cybersecurity is not easy. It's a lot of work. Fortunately, CDI has your back. The instructors will not only guide you day-to-day. Instructors like Idrees will help you maximize your potential through professional feedback. And help you get your best mark.

My name is Ahmed on Dec 21,2020 I started my program as logistic and supply chain management and it was online.
I took this program after I heard it’s really good also there is something called practicum or placement which means the school has to find a a company I can do my practicum which is 400 hours to be able to get my experience as well as I can find a job after finishing my practicum. However I finished my program on July, 30,2021
My practicum should start on August, 2,2021
And the college should find my a company and this is what on the agreement that college singed for.

I was looking for a Business Administration program and inquired for some information from CDI, within that week I was approved and enrolled for the BAP diploma.

My instructor Lori, she was awesome and was such a great supporter, very patient and did not hesitate to assist me and other students, because she always had students from different programs and had the knowledge to help everyone there. Another instructor was Audrey, she was so helpful. The other members who help the students find placements when finished the course, they were exceptionally helpful too. I would recommend this college, as it was one of the best I have been to. Thank you for the great experience and if I need to get another course, I will definitely go back to CDI:)

Please try to find another place to go before you try this one. I got my diploma but it's uselss, it's been 2 years and I have not ever been employed because of my "diploma". There was supposed to be assistance to find employment afterward but nothing from anyine yhere. Please think about where you wanna go before going here.

This school is a joke and a scam. Completely unorganized, a waste of time and money. Do your research.

CDI is an amazing campus to attend. Students and staff treat each other like family. My instructor is Nataliya For the Paralegal program and she is an awesome instructor! She goes above and beyond to make sure that you succeed. I highly recommend The Paralegal program at CDI College.

Well its getting to be that time I am almost done my 10 month MOA program here at CDI Edmonton North. I can say with 100% that I wouldn't have been able to get through it without the help from all the staff here at CDI. The staff here are amazing and made the transition of going back to school amazing. I would like to thank all the staff especially Faiqa, Lori, Tammy, Ashley, Merrel, and Elia for all your help! The teaching style is very one on one and you can tell that the teachers are genuinely there to help you and want to see you succeed. After I read some of the reviews online before I went I was a bit nervous about what my experience would be like but I have very much enjoyed the past 10 months and I am going to miss everyone that I have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know. I would recommend this school to anyone who is thinking of going back to school. I will remember my experience at CDI forever and will take my experience from this school into my new career. They will steal your money, lie to you, do whatever they can to get their hands on your pockets. Look at other colleges! Compare prices, and if you are a student here and can’t find your teacher it’s probably because he is a student as well.

This school is complete trash. Dropped out after a couple days to find real education worth my money.

They do not change lives through education. They definally changed my life alright, for the worst! Do not go here everyone here is horrible especially the director herself samantha stacy!

DON’T GO HERE. It’s way over priced for what you are getting. I have books that still have the plastic wrap on them. All the staff members just gossip all day You have instructors who are lazy and don’t care about students. Also you have this mean receptionist lady that swears all the time.don’t be fooled by these fake and pressured reviews. MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE GOING AND RESEARCH THE STAFF WORKING THERE. THIS SCHOOL GOT SUED FOR NOT TEACHING STUDENTS PROPERLY.

Deciding to go back to school was overwhelming as it was but the staff made the whole process as easy and stress free as possible and were always there to give you that extra boost when you needed it most. A massive thank you especially to Elia & Tammy I couldn't have done it without you! MOA GRADUATE 2019!

At the beginning, I was a bit reluctant going to CDI due to the bad reviews that I read previously, but my experience has been really positive.
The staff at CDI is amazing. From the receptionist to all the different teachers and the support staff. I took MOA with Ms. Inna and I will never forget this wonderful woman for the rest of my life. The staff is not judgemental and fair. They do not care about your past and they really want you to succeed no matter if you are young or old, have 10 kids and have a blue face. I will really miss my teachers when I completely finish because some of them feel like family members.
Yes, CDI is a bit steep but nothing is perfect and whenever something was unpleasant for me, everyone listened to me and made me feel understood. I believe that when you are being out of school for a few years, it is hard to return but CDI North makes the transition really smooth so in the end I consider it as an investment on myself. My only suggestion is that all CDI would offer different pace programs because everyone works at a different speed and it would be fun to go back to the work world quicker if a student can.

Had a meeting with Marlene about possible courses. Was hesitant at first but she made me open up and actually feel excited about school again. Didnt feel pressured.she just wanted me as part of the community. Appreciated her and the time she took for me

My gorgeous wife works here and this Campus has been amazing to us. The students are top notch as is the curriculum and the staff.

I have now been with CDI for 17 months and 2 different positions, 2 different campus's and it only gets better everytime. The one thing I enjoy most about my job is to see these students succeed and watch them walk across that stage at grad.

Great school the teachers are super friendly and upbeat and are always willing to go above expectations to see that you excel in the program

The massage program at cdi North is really good. You get a lot of one on one time with the teacher and they really are passionate about what they do! If you want to take massage Shanna and Celena are amazing teachers and they really take a lot of time to make sure you understand the information.

I couldn't be more happy. The staff is amazing, friendly, and very understanding. They treated you like family. You walk in and are greeted immediately with a Good morning, or good afternoon by all the staff. They strive to help you succeed your educational goals. Very positive and comfortable environment.

It is a great campus with a very respected massage program. The massage students are very active within the community and giving back for charity.

I am taking the MOA program and I love my teacher Inna, she is very nice, helpful and takes the time to help you with any questions or concerns. I also love my classmates they make coming to school enjoyable.

My experience here at CDI has been worth all my time. The programs and classes provided for your course are exactly what you need to succeed as well as opens doors to other careers. I started out as a student at this campus in 2008. The staff was always helpful and friendly. In January of 2009 i became an employee here. My co workers are an amazing group of people and we all work so well as a team. We make sure that the students also have fun with plenty of activities throughout the year. Whether it is a hot dog sale, halloween costume contest or ugly christmas sweater day. The annual massage a thon and student appreciation bbq are just a few. It has been a great 10 years working here.

CDI has changed my life. The programs and instructors are helpful and strive help help you reach success! Lori Kaplin, the Learning Center instructor is friendly and welcoming and the environment at this school is always positive! Id highly recommend this college to develope or further your carreer.

Marlene checknita did a wonderful job at making me feel comfortable and welcome during our consultation, she really took the time to get to know me and my needs as I’m a single mother so I don’t have as much support financially so choosing the Right course the first time is essential. She asked allot of questions and assured me she could help me pick the right course for my needs and interests! I would definitely recommend a meeting with Marlene.

My experience here at North Campus is awesome, completed few programs and instructors are great and my favorite is the computer courses.its not what I expected and was expecting basic computer courses but they are more in-depth. Having a very excellent/knowable instructor Lori Kapler and is always available when needed. I am very thankful to have such awesome team here at CDI.

I am currently a student in the massage therapy program at CDI college north campus. I love how close and connected the whole campus is and how we all get along as one unit working together for one goal. My teacher Celena is fantastic and teaches to our needs and makes sure we understand a concept before moving forward. It is a very hard and overwhelming course but I am learning so much and happy with the progress that this school is helping me achieve.

I've had the pleasure of working for this amazing company for over 3 years now. I appreciate the positive environment and energetic atmosphere. It's wonderful to see the passion the instructors have when teaching their classes and ensuring the success of their students.
I have the opportunity to meet the majority of the students before they begin studies, and to witness the transition from the beginning to the end is beautiful. You can see the uncertainty in their eyes at first.but when they cross the stage to collect their diplomas the light in their eyes is beaming of confidence and self respect! They DID IT!

The instructions here are phenomenal and will work with you as long as you are willing to put the effort in for yourself! Do not expect to walk in and have everything handed to you, because remember you started this for yourself and its going to take all of yourself to succeed. Stay focused, work hard, do your part and you will succeed! Look at me, I am almost to my practicum start date; which I have a placement for; and I have honors in every one of my classes! I'm currently a student in the massage therapy program few months away from graduating my second year. It's been an amazing journey for me. When I finished highschool I wasn't sure what I wanted to apply for after and one of the directors talked with me & helped me choose a program that best fits my interests. I highly recommend the massage therapy program for those who are passionate for the health care field. It's so worth it, amazing instructors, lots of great people, small class sizes and fun to go to everyday.
